I was there for the first time in my life, my friends which was born in Kermanshah told me that this place was a one of the most beautiful places in Kermanshah to explore, with the lake full of water and waterfalls in the middle of the park, but suddenly now theres no more clean water and greens in the area.

The most beautiful historical area

This work is more than 2000 years old and is considered one of the most important ancient works of Iran. The description of each inscription is written in English in front of the inscription so that tourists know its history. There is a parking lot near this place and a taxi stand is located in front of it.

I went there twice .so peaceful and historical. And there is a little lake there. When u stand in front of the petroglyph near the lake u re goona feel like u re in the middle of a magical ceremony.love it

These Sassanid rock reliefs are another beautiful example of Persian art in the heart of Kermanshah. The area has a lake and several giant trees that double the beauty of the place. A must-see highlight while in beautiful Kermanshah.

Good place to visit.I liked Rahmat Tree the most and also ducks passing through the lake !The best time to visit is nowruz when there is a lot of people specially at the evening before sunset.

It is a collection of lithographs and lithographs of the Sassanid period which is located in Iran in Taghbestan neighborhood in the northeast of Kermanshah and in the west of Iran. This collection was built in the third century AD and has great artistic and historical value. Taq-e Bostan historical site is located on a hillside with the same name and next to the fountain in the northeastern fringes of the city of Kermanshah.The complex is built in the third century AD and enjoys a great artistic and historical value.Firstly, the Sassanid kings chose an area around the Persepolis for making their statues. The Ardeshir II and the kings after him chose Taq-e Bostan located on the Silk Road with natural lush and high water level.There are some rock painting monuments such as the Artaxerxes II coronation and two arches in Taq-e Bostan. Shapour II and Shapour III have been depicted on smaller arch and Khosrow Parviz depicted on the larger one.The pictures present the glory of Sassanid kings and also they associate the divine power of them. The petrograph including the statue of Mohammad Ali Mirza, son of Fath Ali Shah Qajar, with a Nastaliq inscription is carved in this complex. Although not a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Taq-e Bustan in the north of Kermanshah is a nicely preserved historical site from the Sassanid period (4th century). It consists of several bas reliefs representing kings Ardashir II and Shapur II. The site was located along the historic Silk Road to make impression on travellers in those days. The lake and the small river that feeds the lake give it also a romantic touch.

Amazing site to see , especially for an archeologist . It goes back to Sasanid Period and you can see the reliefs in Crowning Shahpur the second and the third , Ardeshir the second and Khosro Parviz. To me its a world heritage site but its not in the list yet .

It is one of very important historical place. too bad it is placed in Kermanshah . It can a place for tourism and people but its not improving. even so it had such good evidence that Iran was such good place. come and see for yourself . i am sure you like the culture and all other places.

A must-see masterpiece of rock releif pertaining to Sasanian Era. There is a thousands year old spring that provides water for the enclosure. The most important part of the complex belongs to the Sassanid which include two Grottos (large and small Ivansas well as notable relief from the same period.

Taq-e Bostan is the great historical place that you can go in the kordistan.it has more then 1400 years old.I recomanded to all the people to see it

Excellent ancient carvings, but slugging the tourist 200k is a bit rich as there is not much to see and do. Access is limited.

Taq-i-bostan means Arch of the gardens, dating back to Sasanian times.the story of romance of Shirin n Farhad is connected to this site. They hv 3 reliefs. Relief of King Khushru II etc. SHAPUR II. N third relief is Ardeshir II.

Very nice place to visit. Those places have always been an attraction to people. The carvings are great. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to get directly in front of them. By a distance of about 10-15 m you can hardly get any detail. Especially the carvings on the side walls of the big cave cant be seen.Dont miss that place especially during Springtime, it looks a bit like an alpine panorama.
