Tantra Lounge - Club in Cartagena

Security is rude referring to the night of September 2nd.He did not let me in for having had a beer before I went over.The place was dead as it was and I was shocked that he didnt let me in?Would really look into the head of security, doesnt your place want business?The ALC % of a beer is 5% and he was talking about being liable and the place not wanting to lose their liquor license.Why would the place lose a WHOLE license over a beer?P.S. Friday nights are dead.

A couple of friends been recommending tantra night club for a while so we went. Honestly what an amazing spot! The music is great! The people are awesome!Bartender Bart is the guy to go to.He put us onto delicious drinks that I honestly never had anywhere else.They were mouth watering!Can’t wait to go next week!

$50 entrance fee which you can use towards your drinks or bottle you buy. I think its way to much but its a good way to keep the street rats out I guess. Good music. Hookah available. Waitress was attentive. People go in groups not too many singles available. I went with 2 of my friends. I had fun but not sure if I would go back anytime soon. I use to go alot before covid. Place use to have live salsa music. Maybe they still have live music but it definitely didnt happen that Friday night.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience after coming back for a long time. I stopped to go at Tantra just because I didn’t like the people who were attending in! The bartender (ladywish I knew her name, had an attitude out of no where and make us leave. What a customer service I guess they don’t want our support. I am happy that they protect their employees but customer service is priority. Going back after 4 years I don’t think I will go back again! Remember business 101 Customers bring customers

$150 minimum spending limit. Don’t come here unless you want to be ripped off. There are better places on steinway near by which are less expensive and closer to other lounges.

Its empty in there and we were there on a Friday Night for a birthday. Honestly I was disappointed for my friend whose birthday it was. The food was okay and way overpriced to be honest with you. Overall probably spent almost $800 there which is unreasonable. The kitchen closes at 11 supposedly but they were reminding us about it every chance they could. Once the kitchen closed they told us to go the lounge area near the DJ and there wasnt anyone else dancing so that was lame. Also they will keep giving you shots and charge you for them even when you didnt order more drinks. Overall I dont intend on coming back here.

Bottle girl on Saturday night 5/7 was trying to be slick and took away our last bottle of Casamigos. They probably just wanted us to get another one. It was a little more than halfway finished and was going slow since everyone was drinking the Henny prior. I was sitting in front of the bottle and lifted it up a few times around then because I was adjusting it in the ice bucket. I approached her and told her I saw what she did but she would take it to the grave with her. My friend and I both saw it happen and only confirmed each other’s suspicion a few minutes after the thought.

They only have apps, sides, and tacos on their menu. They are super pricey and a little overrated. All they care about is that you buy drinks and if you stay when they turn into a lounge, they’ll “politely” ask you to buy a bottle (cheapest is a $250 bottle of Tito’s vodka). It’s unfortunate because the food tasted pretty good and the music was great, but I’m still trying to understand how a group of 7 people can order a few options from the apps menu (not even FULL MEALS), a few drinks (during happy hour), a few shots, and a hookah, and all to come out to $700. Personally, I won’t be going back or recommending this place, as I didn’t think it was worth all the money we spent. Don’t do. There are wayyy better places in the area.

Horrible service, rude staff, lousy music, walked in friday night with friends we were 6 and three of us ordered drinks and after 15 min at the bar one of the servers came to us and asked us to leave because we were not all drinking. The place was empty but he asked us to leave because we were taking space. Honestly we were coming from a heavy dinner and were planning to order drinks after few minutes.Very disappointed will never go back

I’ve never seen worst service in my life. The staff was very rude and the only thing they care about is to force you to spend money. We were celebrating a birthday, and we just got out of a very heavy dinner. It was a Friday night and the place was empty. Nobody was dancing except us. Some of us ordered shots and a drink, but we were definitely getting some more drinks in a little bit. We were there for about 15 min, and the bartender went out of the bar and aggressively told us that if we don’t order more drinks we need to leave. The place was empty and the guy had the face to say we were occupying space. Nobody needs to be mistreated like that. There are many lounge bars in astoria with great music. Don’t waist your time coming here. No wonder the place was so empty. I’ve been here before and it was nothing like this. Definitely never coming back.

Ghetto, empty, food is horrific. They over charge you and try to rip you off on the bill for things you didnt even order. This place is a literal disaster. Crowd is probably the ugliest, most hood wannabes I have ever seen. DJs are beyond whack. Do yourself a favor and stay away... If only this Disgusting place matched is beautiful decor because that is the only thing they have going for them. Might as well be a decor shop. Definitely should be closed down as a food venue. Theives and fights is what youll find in this trash hole. Oh and atleast 7 of their 5 star reviews are people who work there. Once I got there I saw atleast 5 of them working there. When asked they said the old manager asked all of them to do it. So yea... Scam written all over this place.

Tantra is the best spot in Queens, very professional staff. The Owner, Manager and staff are very classy people. Awesome food & drinks, very attractive Women hang out there

The highlight of the place is the DJ, he was great, the music seemed loud when we first walked in but shortly the atmosphere changed completely from a restaurant vibe to a lounge vibe. The food was good, portions were on the smaller side and the prices aren’t very cheap but you are paying for ambience in this case.

Tantras’ customer service is amazing. Probably one of the best I’ve encountered so far. If you can’t reach them they will call you back or conveniently send you everything you need to know via text. My friends and I will definetly be back. I hope they will one day expand their menu and drink selections.

This place is garbage. Never ever put down two cards. They will charge both cards. And steal crazy money from you. Me and a friend came for happy hour drinks got a couple apps and drinks. They gave us a free dessert they charged us for. (We noticed and mentioned and they gave money backbut then proceeded to charge both me and my friends card $160 instead of splitting. We ended tipping on top of gratuity that’s added and bought them a round of shots. The disrespect… we both tried calling and emailing and no return calls. They don’t have a regular schedule so sometimes they are open sometimes they aren’t and the manager is never in. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.oh and if you do don’t get the croquettes they taste like feet. I straight up gagged

One of the best restaurants and lounges in NYC. If you want your taste buds to wake up, this is the spot for you!!All the staff is awesome and friendly.Ohhh did I mention the place is exquisitely decorated and has music variety for all.My go tos are the asian spice guacamole, cochinita steamed buns, chino-latino bbq spare ribs, churrasco and the paradiso cocktail (or off menu red dragon).

Was there this past Saturday with my 3 friends. We was looking for a chill place with good music and vibes and had a wonderful time will definitely go back in the future also I got a bottle with a table and got a free shot at the bar when they where closing 👍👍🔥🔥

Had an enjoyable time at Tantra Lounge. Went for dinner and stayed past 11pm when restaurant converted to lounge. The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable and able to make recommendations based on preferences . Food was delicious with very good portions and drinks were excellent.Highly recommend for dinner and also if you want a night out that may lead to dancing into the morning 🎉

It’s an ok place, small and it’s constantly overcrowded. The drinks are over priced and I totally dislike that you have to spend a $30 minimum to use your credit card. The coat check out line is also a teeth pulling process. Not sure if I’ll ever visit this place again.

The place is good , I was shocked to see FRIDAY NITE ABSOLUTELY EMPTY 😳. Big complaint ..... MR STUPID DJ was playing RAP in empty Lounge ... 🙄 Highly Recommend to change the DJ also when we requested a song he totally IGNORED our request when there is no one to listen his music 😛 Mr DJ is more like a video game player and he seemed to be playing in his own little world with his imaginary crowd 😶😶.

I went with a party of 15. It was a Thursday. Music was great. Servers were great also. I do have a complaint however. The menu has $30 Hookahs and $50 Hookahs. I ordered the $30 Hookah and was charged $35 plus tax and plus a mandatory 20% tip. Im only bothered by the $5 up charge that isnt mentioned anywhere. It came out to be $45. Also, If you are planning a night out here, make sure you budget in the mandatory 20% tip on all bills in the bottle service section (couches).

Giving the place 4 Star cause it was a great place to go have fun for sure, the music was good the server were ok if it wasn’t for them gossiping but honestly Miguel treated us like angels and that was a very valid point!

What a complete waste of time, a horrible experience. Someones religion is NOT a theme. There were Hindu religious icons all over, how disrespectful. These icons are prayed to. They arent just statues and pictures, they belong to a community that worships them. Appropriation at its finest, needs to update itself with the modern world.

This place was AMAZING. The venue was beautifully lit, very clean, organized, and had plenty of music variety.They even double checked my ID when I got in just to make sure i was old enough ( I just turned 21, so I was excited to experience all that my friend led me to believe Tantra had to offer as a night club.)But I will NEVER, in my life come back or even recommend this night club to another person..The waitress should have split the bill between 4 people. She counted the cash(split between two people), then charged the rest of the transaction onto my card.Maybe Tantra allows their staff to drink on the job??-- this... waitress... mustve been tipsy enough to not see the other card.I spent days messaging the co-owner Fernando, who seems like a nice guy, but I still havent heard from him, and honestly, probably never will. Im just frustrated at the moment...Long story short...So because of Tantras waitress I was overcharged on my credit card-- Thank You, very much for ruining my 21st birthday!Tantra,baby, YOU NEED BETTER STAFF.DONT MESS WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS MONEY.

This place is another place in Astoria that rips ppl off. Overcharging and horrible sevice seems their best thing they can do. Place has a very bad low energy. Just dont go to this place and waste your time. Manangment is horrible along with their bartender girl. They have been going down for sometime. We had a bad experience:We where a group of 15 and got there at 10PM. They gave us a hard time about getting in, asking to reserve or get bottle service. We where not desperate so we decided to jump to another latin bar around. The Host came to us saying we can enter, even though one person had snickers.The place was DEAD EMPTY. However we heard salsa and bachata which was good for us and got some good drinks. Since we are dancers we can have fun between us.After 12 all we heard was trap, hip hop and reggaeton...salsa or bachata was out of the list. Well we kept dancing and drinking.The worst part was when we left, one of us got back a jacket from the coat check and it was burned.Not coming back !

I went to this place yesterday for my friend birthday party. Interior decoration looks nice but bartender will rip you off by charging random prices. She charge me 3 shots for $38.00 Way too expensive than those upscale clubs in city. And when I ask my friend, she charge him $29 for 2 shots. Be careful guys. And music is crap. On a night like friday, 85% Spanish songs and 15% club songs. I am from NYC and i would love to go to city rather than freaking Tantra.

I been in places in NYC for the past 15 years and but nothing is the same until one day I discover this little jewel the its name is TANTRA LOUNGE... I dont have words to explain what happens the moment you cross the entrance doors because every night is flu of something great its like magic... I recommended because is one of the few places the astoria have the you can go everyday without getting boring..they have great service, drinks, hookah, music and shows... if you are in astoria or live in NY this place is definitely worth to check out, is not need to travel to the city when you have a great local place to party and meet cool people...

Tantra lounge is by far an spectacular place to not only PARTY there but also WORK there! whatever you want to celebrate, Tantra Lounge makes sure they treat you like royalty!! Their hookah is amazing, by far the best hookah Ive ever had hands down specially the fresh pineapple fruit hookah! It lasts you a really long time! You wont get their type of service anywhere else! Starting from the very owner which is a sweetheart hes absolutely great super down to earth! To bottle service, bartending service, management service, the bus boys service everyone overall is simply out standing! They will make sure you wont regret a penny in there! They surprise you with amazing shows belly dancers, samba dancers, ballerina dancers and more! Tantras Djs are always ON POINT! Specially on Saturdays!! This spot is somewhere i really highly recommend anyone to go and experience!

The best place to have fun. The hookah is the best in Queens, ask for the "Sam Special" flavor. The service is excellent and the prices are fair. The music is great during the whole night and there are plenty of girls to dance with. I WILL RETURN SOON!

Terrible place. everyone is coked up and drunk. Went there for a bottle service gig & they had me walking around asking guys to buy drinks and the bottle waitresses were super rude if a customer ask you to serve their bottle. one of the drunk bartenders accused me of stealing her coat. Another of stealing a check. Everytime I went to speak to the manager he was locked in his office & when I was finally allowed in, he was snorting and wiping his nose.

We were there with a couple of friends and first they were really nice and let us all in (but we were mostly girls). We were all prepared to drink and spend money, but after a while of dancing the bouncer came up to us girls and wanted to charge our credit card with 300 $ for 2 bottles. We didnt even have a table and we also didnt want one. We repeatedly tried to explain him, that even if all of us only got 1 drink, we would have spend 300 $ in the club. Then it was 275 $ per bottle and in the end we got all of our people out of the club and left. Everyone had to go out without their jackets and then only one by one we could get our jackets - it was freakin cold!!Im from Berlin - THE party city, and I have never been treated this badly in a club. This is a poor policy, just to rip off some money for sure.Most funny part of the night: The bouncer told us he memorized our faces and we will never get in again. Wow. What a bummer. As if I would ever will go to the end of the world in Queens again.

Actually place is very good and cozy...Bottle hostess are really hot..Im a girl, but I need to admit it...prices are lower than in the city and its makes sense. if you make a reservation then you wont stay in line and get right to your table. Definetely will come back...had a great time!!!oh...btw..Music is awesome!!!!
