Tantalum Restaurant in Long Beach

I had the kobe beef sliders and wasabi encrusted filet mignon which were both super delicious. For dessert I tried their crème brûlée (this had a more evocative name but its just a crème brûlée with toppings), chocolate lava cake, and banana bread pudding. The latter was my favorite. Their entrées and apps are definitely more outstanding than their desserts, though the desserts were tasty.Our server was pretty good at anticipating our needs before we had to ask, but occasionally left us alone too long, I think because we were seated in an out of the way corner and they had a big section to service. Overall the service was good and accommodating.The ambiance was okay--there was a fantastic musical performance, but also it was very loud in the interior of the restaurant. Would have preferred to sit outside with quiet views of the marina, but no alcohol outside and our party had drinkers.Id definitely go back for a special occasion (its kind of priceyand enjoy the outside seating and delicious food.

I love this place! Its so pretty and they always have good music. The food is good and the drinks are yummy. Asian pear is my go to drink. Service is awesome. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Awesome live music and epic vibes in this tropical ocean side restaurant experience. Great food, a bit pricey on the drinks but very tasty!

It was....spotty. very busy which is great to see. Service was hot & cold. I would not say it was poor service but sometimes we were trying to flag someone down. They might be understaffed which is understandable. Everyone is. So acceptable. The food was not as good as I recalled. We had to send back 2 dishes and I may only send back a dish once year. So 2 in one night is unusual for me. Overcooked and too salty. They were super nice about it and it was perfect the next time. The outdoor seating was amazing. Perfect temperature and they had heaters. Im hoping it was just an off night and will return based on past experiences.

Food was excellent. Had buddha rice, kobe cheeseburger and beef and chips. Food was well seasoned. Sat at the bar, good views of the marina which was right in front. One can see the boats passing by. Had a few beers and tahitian moon martini which is delicious, also had a strawberry fields drink which was also good.Its a busy area but there is plenty of parking. Employees and staff took good care of us. They had live music on sunday evening. Great place for a date! It can be a bit pricey once all adds up. We had 3 food items, 3 beers and 3 mixed drink and it added up to $153.00 without tip. They have a happy hour but its only mon-fri but not sure what time, the web site doesnt say anymore. Over all its a good place to eat and chill.

I was there on Thursday 9/22 and the live music was WONDERFUL. The young lady had a Beautiful voice. I loved the atmosphere. The food was good, our waitress was very friendly. My Sister is a regular there and she remembered her. I had the steak sandwich with fries and it was good. The prices are reasonable. Beautiful scene as I am from the Midwest and this was a different scene for me.

Took a date to Tantalum with outside seating, atmosphere, vibe, drinks and food were all amazing. The service was equally amazing and our waiter made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely say this establishment well out performed my expectations and I will definitely be back.

This is my first review of Tantalum even though Ive been there several times. I love this place. Its very nice. Theres a great happy hour, great food, friendly staff, great ambiance, awesome décor. Always a good time.

Had a great time on Sunday. Great food and wow what a band! The Greg Caroll band was amazing! Cant wait till they come back!

Alexis was congenial, however we felt neglected and with $50+ entrees there should not be a food auction when the runner brings the entrees. I ordered the ribeye and had to ask for a steak knife. Previously it was brought before my entree arrived. Will look for other options in Long Beach.

Love this spot in Long Beach. Great service, live music, water views and the food and drinks are so good. We tried so much this trip with friends. The Tuna tartar and bacon wrapped scallops are so good. Along with the pad Thai and so much more!! My favorite spot in Long Beach.

Very nice atmosphere, the (Thaifood was alright. We love the live music, but the air conditioning system just kept on dropping water down to our table (#32). Our daughter and son didnt let us know until when we were about to leave that their shoulders were completely wet! I suggest the management team should look into this!

Didn’t get a great view if you want one call ahead for the outdoor seating or sit at the bar for better views the oysters was so small I didn’t get to taste them but the service and the burger was amazing

Love this hidden gem tucked away in the corner of a shopping plaza. Beautifully designed tropical themed oasis restaurant with beautiful views of the marina. Love the fusion take on Asian food here, desserts are great and still need to try all the cocktail drinks on the menu🍹. Would be great if they expanded their menu for more food options. Last time came here on a whim and they had live music, it was awesome!

drove from Redondo Beach and that was well worth it, great Marina view and food was delicious, live band at 6:30 as a bonus...

Very good food but I could find something I like more for less. But it is good and the service was great. I am disappointed by the lack of shrimp and chicken in my pad Thai, I had like three shrimp and two pieces of chicken with a mountain of noodles. The people I ate with said theirs was great so I made my review higher but my meal was not something I would get again.

There was a two hour wait for seating in the upper level so we got a window seat on the main floor and still had a great view of the marina. The food was fantastic. I ordered the crispy tofu and it was the best tofu I’ve had to date. I would definitely order it again. Our server was excellent and very attentive. Would definitely recommend.

A good experience with entrés that fill you. Calimari was good but a little greasy for me. Got the mahi mahi and that was cooked well. Service was good. Will definitely be back.

From the moment you walk in, you feel like you are transported to Tulum. The decor and atmosphere are just that nice.Delicious food and drinks!!The outside patio has an amazing view of the sunset over the marina.

Nice venue on PCH near Seal Beach. The view of the water way is a plus. We went on a Saturday evening when there was live music. The band was good, but the music was too loud to have conversation. Food is Asian Fusion and overall pretty good. The Calamari is highly recommended. Reservations are needed for evenings. Shared parking lot gets pretty crowded, so allow a little bit of extra time to find a space.

We enjoyed our meal. We also had the calamari and beef n chips. The calamari wasnt the best I had but it was different. I enjoyed it due to Asian flavors.

Good Clean Food , fun atmosphere , live music is legit the 2 main outsides doors on both ends lead to the docks and water so you can have a breather. Patio is also by water with outside seating. Day or night they never disappoint. Bring a date or go solo. Its what I do once In a while.

Our waiter Taylor made our experience incredible! He was very knowledgeable about the dishes and we felt so confident in his words we pretty much had everything he suggested including dessert which I rarely order. The appetizer and main courses were too delicious to get a picture of. Cant wait to go back!

Great drinks, Great Food and Great Ambiance !!! Honestly everything was so perfect, I forgot take pics, so I gotta go back and do it ALL over again ... Aahh! I do have 1 pic of my wifes drink ... a Tahitian something .... delicious! Cant wait for the do over!

The food and drink here are excellent. I had a blood orange margarita that gave me a good buzz. It was delicious. My friend and I ate the kobe sliders, chicken wraps, and an heirloom tomato salad. The sliders were divine; kobe beef does make a difference! The chicken wraps were also delicious. I liked that they used butter lettuce for the wrap and the two sauces combined nicely after all the toppings were added. The salad was another winner. Needed just a tad of salt, bur overall, very good. It did not disappoint. Service was excellent and it was nice to sit by the marina and watch the activity in the water. If I have a complaint, its only that the inside of the restaurant was too dark! I know it was part of the ambiance but for someone with vision, balance, and/or health issues it might be a problem. Good part, we ate in the patio.

My wife and I met some very good friends here for a late dinner, we were welcomed with smiling faces and the sounds of great music being played by a live band. Its always a pleasure coming here from the food to the to the fantastic wait staff who were extremely friendly and helpful.

Really nice Asian Fusion place. The decor transported me to another world.There were even a few bolted down rickshaws that you can capture a few pictures sitting in them.Now to the food!My girlfriend Teri and I were truly amazed at how delicious everything we ordered was.She had the ribeye steak and I heard her say it was cooked to perfection.I had the ribeye sandwich and I concur!Theres something special about a restaurant were the Manager comes to each table to check in with the guests.Adam was very attentive when doing so.Throw in a spectacular view and it doesnt get no better than this!I give this place a thumbs up!Way up!

Nestled along the harbor in Long Beach is Tantalum, a stylish, and romantic restaurant. You can enjoy one of their signature cocktails while watching the sunset. The menu offers unique Asian fusion as well as a host of items to please every palate. Every appetizer and entree was plated beautifully and tasted even better. The steaks were sublime and generously portioned. The dessert were true works of decadent culinary artistry. And we also enjoyed quite the variety of flavored Margueritas.

Was fabulous food. Went here first r my birthday with wife and friends. Amazing love singer, impossible meals and explosive tastes. Our waiter was very personable and awesome.

It was ok. Nothing extravagant. The kiwi margarita did not taste like kiwi. The fruit was stale. Cucumber crush had no pineapple. This is unacceptable. Also the short rib sliders were not that great Ive had much better at Arbys. Service was good in the outside patio. We passed by many servers looking for a seat and no one approached us we look like deer in headlights. I mean I want to know why theres 3 servers in the front on their phones chatting away and Im over here lost trying to find a seat to have a very expensive meal with my family. The best part was the nice view that about it.RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST.

Tantalum Restaurant is located in the Marina Pacifica shopping center in Long Beach 90803 . It is tucked away in the northwest corner but once you walk through the tropical entrance you will be surrounded by a tropical paradise. The views are incredible and the atmosphere is inviting. We love going there and relaxing to live music and sunsets. Its a beautiful place to go!

Another great date night or dinner with friends spot! It sits right along the water, you can see the sunset, private yachts and boats sailing around the channel. Oh the food delicious, drinks really nice and the service impeccable!!

Nice place for a dinner/date. Live music makes the atmosphere even more beautiful but could feel tad bit loud if you want to have a conversation. We preferred to sit outside by the waterfront. Loved the appetizer, Entrees Mahi Mahi and Buddha rice could use less soya sauce which felt overpowering.

I love this restaurant! It never dissapoints me! I have visited it three times in the last four weeks, and my guests loved it as well! Mesmerizing view, lovely live bands playing, delicious food, and great service.A must try are the Tuna Tartar, Wasabi Crusted Filet and their Apple Martinis

Great experience indoor and outdoor venue with an nice view of the calm ocean waters. Live music is very good. They have excellent, good tasting food both you and your date or group of friends will love. Food is really incredible on top of the friendly and excellent service.

Went in to celebrate 🍾 moms birthday. Perfect ambience to celebrate and loved the food. Everything was absolutely wonderful. Sure that this spot is getting on my list of favorite restaurants to celebrate

The food was excellent! Fine dining at its best. Appetizers and main courses were fabulous. The plating was beautiful and the taste was excellent. The cocktails were mixed well. We ordered several. Service was friendly. Kudos to the staff! The view was spectacular! Any time of the day is great but sunset was best! Great place to dine!

Beautiful atmosphere near the water and delicious food. Salsa with salmon was filling and left no room for dessert. Kobe burger was delicious

Went on a "first date". The atmosphere was amazing. The drinks were not only pleasing to the eye but hit the spot. The fried brie with a spicy peach chutney was the perfect combination of savory and sweet. The chicken lettuce wraps were also delicious. Our server Eric was attentive and very efficient. We sat outside but could hear the melodic sounds of the live band playing. I will definitely be back. Oh yeah, my date was FANTASTIC too!!

Great anytime place but I love it on weekend days due to all the activity with the boats. Aperol spritzer is a great Summer drink. The best calamari ever. Everything is delicious. Burgers are huge.

This place is amazing, my first time here and it was a really pleasant experience. Food really good, place is really relaxing, elegant but classy. They have live music and they also have available sitting inside and outside. Best sunset 🌇 ever 😍❤It was a romantic and beautiful dinner definitely going back.

We were there on Mother’s Day :)And we loved everything; the ambiance, the food and the service :)We had their favorite hamburger, salmon entrée, tuna tartare, the sliders and all were fantastic!

Wasnt sure what to expect taking my wife here for our anniversary. Especially because of covid... But they took over the dock and it was very nice to eat on top of the water! Prices are very reasonable especially for what you get!

Love the ambience. We sat on a couch with a nice view facing the water. Our waitress was very nice, she really paid attention and took our plates or refilled out drinks right away. The restroom was really nice as well. I ordered the Pits Taco, which came with a salad. The salad and pita taco was scrumptious! It left me feeling fresh. Since it was my birthday I received a free dessert! It was a chocolate cupcake with torched marshmallow fluff on top along with raspberries, blueberries and strawberries. It was delicious. It was an overall lovely meal and time. I definitely recommend this place to others :)
