Beautiful bridge in Tirana
Great piece of history in the heart of Tirana!
Nice walking area.
great to see
nice bridge
Good place to take photos
Beautiful bridge
Good small bridge & but no need to visit.
With the birth of Tirana as a civic center in 1614, a rapid development of crafts and trade was observed. Located in a favorable geographical position, at the intersection of important trade routes, Tirana gained year after year its importance and attracted the attention of the residents around it, who year after year increased the population of the city.
Ok ok
Beautiful bridge. You are allowed to walk on it.
Yesterday I was walking by and when I noticed this bridge and I immediately thought about who build it and in which period of time was it built. It looks amazing since you can see an old part of the city and by the other side of the road you can see how we have evolved and build new roads and buildings. However, we should preserve our ancient artifacts and try to recover them yearly so they can be held in a good shape. So this bridge was build during the ottoman empire so as many bridges where build during those periods of times.
Unusual little cobbled bridge, great to see
Very old bridge in Tirana,Albania.Tanners bridge (Ura e Tabakëve)Built during XV|| ~ XV||| centuries.
Not really interesting. Just an old bridge in the most random spot, next to a regular cross walk. Looks more interesting in pictures than in person.
You will run into it ,strolling around Tirana
The biggest mosque in Balkan🤌🏻
I used to live few houses down from it in my childhood. once at 6 yrs old, when it was filled with water from rain at night, I accidentally fell in it almost drowned. One of my scariest experiences I ever had as a kid. Luckily I knew how to swim to the side and got pulled out.
Ura e tabakeve (tanners bridgeis one of the few things left from the times when Tirana was a small city of Ottoman empire. Now that Tirana had grown and is a modern city this bridge is a landmark and tells about the past. The river Lana itself doesnt go through the bridge anymore because when it became the capital the river bed was changed to make it straight instead of the original one that has a lot of meadows.
Old pedestrian bridge. Looks more attractive at night...
An old bridge from the ottoman era ...it looks nice in photos but actually very small and you might miss it when youre right next to it
Small and kinda lost if you are not paying attention, but totally cute
Trash under and near the bridge, which spoils its view.
Its an old bridge, nice enough, bit slippery if your walking across it.
History of Bridge but its awful all around
Fascinating bridge with a great history.
Ancient bridge, pretty interesting to see and walk on.
Its definitely worth seeing if youre into old stuff. Cool to walk across it and think of all those who used this in its prime long ago.
Simple old but nice small bridge
Small, yet nice Ottoman bridge close to Toptani shopping mall and Albanian parliament. Rather a pass by attraction
An ancient bridge which is still functional. The name tobacco bridge is given as to bring out the importance of tobacco usage and trade back in these days. It is a beautiful stone bridge.
A rather incongruous 19th-century stone bridge remains remarkably well preserved in Tiranas modern centre and is one of just a few remnants of Ottoman Tirana. Be careful walking over it as its smooth stone surface can be very slippery. Its at the end of Rr Presidenti George W Bush.
Its a 18-th century well preserved footbridge. A real life history and heritage from ottoman Period but saddly with a poor accessibility ( at least in my opinionfor tourists with the last years constructions. Local government should focus more on promoting this kind of attractions
This bridge I believe was hand built by Danny Tanner (Bob Sagetfrom full house. It is very old...like Bob Saget.
A humble historic bridge.
Just a bridge. I dont know about the history. But if I knew maybe I would found it more interesting :)
Tanners Bridge stands out like a sore thumb wedged between an apartment building and Bulevardi "Jean DArc". Its a short walk from Skanderbeg Square and definitely is worth a visit if youre a history buff. You can walk over the bridge or even take a few steps down below to get a different perspective. Another quaint artifact, close to the other attractions. It is the only bridge remaining from the Ottoman occupation. It does not span the river anymore, but remains a tourist attraction and a shortcut for walkers .
Best travel agency i have ever traveled . And believe me, i have traveled a lot. Thanks for everything. I highly recommend this to everybody..😍😃
Beautiful Ottoman era bridge; solid and in good shape. A bit obscure and not clearly marked. I prefer crossing over every time. Keep away from edges though as there is no health and safety consideration whatsoever plus well trodden stones are slippery.
Sometimes bridges disappear, sometimes rivers!
The Tanners Bridge (Albanian: Ura e Tabakëveis an 18th-century Ottoman period stone footbridge located in Tirana, Albania. The bridge, built near the Tanners Mosque, was once part of the Saint George Road that linked Tirana with the eastern highlands. The road was the rout by which livestock and produce entered the city. The bridge crossed the Lanë stream near the area where butcher shops and leather workers were located. The bridge fell into disrepair when the Lanë was diverted in the 1930s. In the 1990s the bridge was restored for use by pedestrians.
Tanners bridge know as Ura e Tabakëve in Albanian is very old briegestone but conserved and maintained in time as Cultural Monument for several decades. It can be visited and used as bridge as well and it is very beatiful as a element of urban area.
A small, picturesque old bridge with a local history and with water no longer flowing underneath.

Very nice old bridge without its river.
Maybe not new, but ...
Not very exciting, but nice historic bridge in the midst of busy traffic.
Build in the 18th century. The bridge crossed the Lana stream. The bridge fell into disrepair when the Lana stream was diverted in the 1930s. Very close to city centre. Close to the bridge you can enjoy a coffee at Kevins Bar or restaurant "1 Maji". Should see.
A must see. Have a Coffee at Kevin bar and enjoy. A lot if People strawling by on the closed Street, walkpath.
One of best touristic sites in Tirana, only 7 min from center of city
