Tani - Japanese Restaurant & Bar - Japanese restaurant in Naas, Ireland
The best veggie sushi in dublin. Lovely staff and good value for money
Beautiful Sushi and beautiful staff. The starters were incredible. The mains are more modern than traditional.I would highly recommend.
If you like Susi, this is the spot. Really fresh & great selection. Good value & friendly staff.Best to order & eat in. Taste best fresh.
Wow tried Japanese food for the first time. Great food and even better value. Tried the early bird menu, same size portions as the main menu. Staff are friendly and courteous. My recommendation Give it a go you will be pleasantly surprised.
This restaurant was a great find. The restaurant is classic japanese asian restaurant inside and out. It has a laid back atmosphere which is perfect if you are looking for some quiet and zen eating time. Nothing fancy but the inside was clean and tidy. Staff were really nice and warm. The food is superb. I mean, right proportions, good presentation and the taste is one of the best and most authentic i had for quite some time, not salty , not oily and surprisingly fresh. They have one of the best seaweed salad(must try), and the currys are as asian as you can get. Not to mention the crispyness of fried selections (tofu, vegetables and chickenwere consistent throughout the dinning experience. A bit pricey but well spent. Will comeback for sure.
Tani is a small Japanese restaurant in Terenure with authentic Japanese food. It was busy the day we went and from the looks of it the locals preferred the hot food. We, however, decided to go with a sushi platter. It was the right choice (for us anyways π)! The sushi was fresh and delicious! Our waitress then recommended the desserts and OMG they were to die for π Well be back!
Cozy place, great attention and fresh food !
I love this restaurant, food was stunning, the tempura squid is to die for! And the staff are wonderful. Would definitely recommend going for some sushi here!
Loved our dining experience in Tani Japanese Restaurant. We dined on a quiet Tuesday, service was great, food and drink were wonderful. Will definitely come again.
Fantastic restaurant with lovely food and wait staff. My friend and I enjoyed it but a lack of a menu display outside may deter some people looking to eat wherever. But the food is amazing and Id recommend you give it a try!
Friendly staff π.. very polite and helpfulFish and sushi (order sushi setsquality were really very fresh. We also ordered SAKE (Japanese rice wine), which was served in these traditional shot glasses and was so heart warmingly delicious.Paid - 68β¬ for everything in the pics
Came here with my brother in law on his recommendation. Ordered the early bird special and got the calamari and seafood udon. Service was friendly and attentive, food was hot, had good flavours and simple clean presentation. The calamari was spicy. The udon noodles had salmon, squid, shrimp which were cooked perfectly, as it is easy to over cook seafood. Nice clean restaurant, would liked to have seen bento box options but maybe thatβs not a thing around here.
The food is fresh, grate taste and the staff is grate. Recomand the organic sake, hot.
Bring your own ..π corkage fee ..sushi is so good and seaweed salad is fab .. delicous food ...
An okay Japanese restaurant, definitely overrated. Perhaps good at local, but to me its average.
One of my favorite restaurants, always go here with my friends or family and regularly get takeaway from here tooThe staff are super friendly and the food is always freshThe service is very efficientTheir sushi is amazingHighly recommend this restaurant
First time dining at Tani and it was amazing. Delicious food, great price and the staff were lovely. The chicken gyozas and tappanyaki chicken were the best Ive had in Dublin
The Special Rolls for takeaway are now embarrassingly tiny; way smaller than they used to be, and noticeably smaller than they still are in the restaurant. The first time it happened I thought maybe it was just a new chef, but last night it happened again, so I questioned it β and was humiliated by the staff for doing so. Ive been a regular customer for years, but Ill never eat here again. Shameful.
Would highly recommend. We ordered salmon avocado roll, salmon nigiri, hoisin duck, edamame beans, miso soup (delishand a range of veg/Vegan options (called ahead to warntani provided a very healthy supply of soy sauce, ginger and wasabi. All came to between β¬50-60
Iβve always enjoyed my food from Tani.It is rather Expensive for the portion size given.Main issues other than portion size and having to pay for two portions as one never filled me up π was that the starters were not good. Main courses are excellent.
Ordered the tempura rolls, spider rolls and edamame. They were absolutely delicious- incredibly fresh and arrived super promptly. Will definitely order again
Food is incredible here but service lets them down. Food is never ready when the website says it will be and dont bother well delivery as it took more than 90 minutes last time. Still, the food is unreal.
Hate writing negative reviews, especially during such a difficult time but this was a very poor takeout experience. Food arrived over 40 minutes late and cold. A real shame as the food is lovely. Will not be buying from again.
Came here when it first opened and it wasnβt good. Recently ordered as Iβd heard it had improved and it absolutely had. Very decent sushi for Dublin standards
Great restaurant! We are coming back to Tani all the time;)Ive tried different Japanise restaurants in Dublin, but Tani is the best!Food is fresh and delicious.Priced very reasonably.Staff is very friendly. The same about takeaway food - 5 starts;)Even my children now like eating sushi;)))
Had a delicious dinner last night. It was our first visit and I know I will definitely be back. We had miso soup and Chefβs Plate 3. It was perfect for sharing for two!One odd thing was that there was only one temaki in the box. All the pictures Iβve seen have two??? I asked the waitress and she said thereβs only ever one π€¨Sashimi was very fresh and sushi rolls were well made! They donβt fall apart when you pick them up with chopstick or take a bite out of them first.
Booked ahead for my sisters birthday. There were five of us and they had us shoved into a corner, so we asked to move, as my sisters husband would be blocking people going to the toilet. This really seemed to put their noses out of joint, first they refused and they said we could move, but they wouldnt actually accommodate us where 5 would fit. I just think this is really poor customer service. They were accommodating walk-ins wherever they liked, but we were treated as second class somehow. Obviously we were going to spend a fair bit of money, so perhaps they should consider that rather than treating us as if it was an awkward request (were not even big people, it just was a squash in the corner). Then they avoided us for a bit, but eventually took our food order. I must say, the food was really good, particularly the sushi. It is pretty reasonably priced for the quality too.Overall, it ended up a nice experience but I really didnt like how they handled the table move. It would make me book somewhere else in future.
Having moved home after 10 years abroad we were looking for our sushi fix in Dublin.Simply stunning food. We will be regulars. Cant recommend this place enough. The Chefs plate was excellent.
Love love love Tani! Lovely staff, delicious food, great prices. Thereβs something for everyone (not just sushiand children are made very welcome. They do take out / delivery too which is super to finally have a fresh and healthy take away option.
Was very impressed to find quality Japanese food in a small local restaurant. Great vegetarian selection too! Enjoyed a delicious breaded tofu starter, a fragrant ramen for main and cheesecake for dessert, all fresh and flavoursome, and service throughout was respectful and attentive. Will return!
The best way to describe this place is just plain amazing. I do not consider myself a sushi expert, but more an enthusiast, but it tastes so good, the cuts all seemed to just melt in my mouth and the rice was perfectly seasoned. The amount of attention payed to each piece was noticed as well as the attentiveness of all the staff. The decor was elegant and the atmosphere sophisticated.5 stars quality, definitely I will come back here again.
Good food & very polite staff
Cozy and nice restaurant. The food was pretty good! Considering we got the Menu deal+ starters, we got really good quality of food and value for β¬β¬.I will recommend it!
Its always a good sign in an ethnic restaurant when designer decor is not the highest priority. Tani proved this rule. The food was of the highest quality, beautifully presented, courteously served and all at a very reasonable price. I should also mention the friendliness of the staff and the fun we had eating.
Found this place accidently and it was a really nice surprise. Absolutely delicious food! Fresh and authentic. The interior makes you feel like you were in Japan. Very friendly staff. Definitely will be back!
Have been a big fan of Tani since it opened for their sushi and gyoza. However, we ordered a Chicken Catsu curry and teriyaki steak soba tonight and the curry was one of the worst dishes I have endured in a long time. Tiny portion of rice that would fit in your hand, βcurry sauceβ made of luke warm water and no flavour (thank feck I didnβt pour it on the food before tasting it), about 3 tiny paper thin shreds of red pepper and scallion and onion to accompany the dish - even though it is meant to come with vegetables as part of the dish. The steak dish also came with almost no veg, despite being in the description. The sushi is good here, but steer far and wide of these dishes. A drunk on the street would make it better... and for a lot less than 25 eur Iβm guessing. Also ordered gyoza but this time they were flavourless, powdery and mushy almost like they had been frozen. Very disappointing experience. Will avoid in future.
I go here often with my girlfriend and we enjoy it very much. Best miso soup in Dublin according to my girlfriend! Their lunch menu is very reasonable price which what we usually get and the staff are very polite. Very quaint spot but deserves far more business!
Had a great immerce in a Japanese cuisine in Tani, really liked their Maki box, good value and tasty sushi. Also tried desserts and both traditional sticky rice cakes and chocolate with a coconut cake were very suprising and yammy!! Youll never try this anywhere else in Dublin, I think!!
Delicious food, great warm service, lovely evening spent here, thank you :)
Great food and service. Loved the nigiri, especialy the Eel. Will come back.
it is a proper Japanese restaurant!?there is a very good choice of traditional Japanese foods.the sushi starters are very nice and the fish seems fresh.the service is very polite and extremely kind.water starter and first plate was around 25 euros.
Had a super lunch deal Bento Box. Great fresh, tasty food in a very relaxed atmosphere. Wouldve been more authentic with Japanese music however the cool jazz was infinitely better than the music in most places.Domo arigato.
Great food love this place for lunch, staff are very friendly, great table service, best bento box π±in Terenure!
Very good place to bring your family, amazing service, friendly staff and a great menu. I highly recommend this place.
Best sushi in Dublin. Nice setting. Lovely staff. Reasonable price. Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick.
Nice bento box. Nice soba. Perfect matcha latte. Excellent experience.
I dont understand why this restaurant got high rating -- my last experience in Tani is not good at all. I entered the restaurant around 8pm on a weekday, it seems that the restaurant was quite available with only a few tables of customers. The waitress was showing me a cold unwelcoming attitude, at first I assumed she might had a bad day so it was fine, but later another customer (which is a white person while Im Chineseshe was smiling and welcoming this guy all the way -- what a contrast. I was super hungry so ok let me just have the food. I waited for almost half an hour. The restaurant was not busy at all. The white guy got his every food ready before me, even he arrived to this place 10min after me. I had to chase after the waitress so finally I got the food. The worst part just came. The food was terrible. Judging by the price I was expecting the quality of the food to be almost the same as the food in Yamamori, however to my disappointment it was not like that at all. I regretfully finished the food and I was thinking I should drive just another 10min to Eddie Rockets in Dundrum.I wrote down this experience(actually happened like half a year agoto remind potential customers this restaurant might not be as good as what other reviews described. Be cautious.I also hope the owner of this restaurant could improve its service and hire better people to do the right job.
Fresh Sushi and the dumplings were amazing. The Bento Box is the What To Order here in my opinion.Im not sure it beats Yamamori though... :oNo Ramen either
Gorgeous food. I wouldve taken a better photo but eating my food was a priority. Super attentive staff.
Great Japanese food, and much cheaper than the Japanese restaurants in the city center. The decor is quite simple, and I wouldnt necessarily go here for a big romantic dinner, but its a lovely restaurant nonetheless. They have takeaway and delivery options as well.
