Tang's Buffet Bracknell - Buffet restaurant in Ducheng, China
Went for lunch, reasonably priced, not the full selection with all the cooking stations closed, but what was there was fine.
Great selection, great price during weekdays. Only took a star off as a couple of occasions Ive been there been met with a very rude and abrupt long haired gentleman who is quite skinny, he really needs a refresher on customer service. Rest of the team seem very nice.
Food was lovely, however me and my family were put off buy the man that was walking around with no shoes on. Being a restaurant I’d like to think for health and safety reasons, shoes would be mandatory?
Food very good. Dinner plates cool whilst desert plates warm. Overall very happy.
One of the best buffets I have been, big variety of food!! From the tipical chinese buffet to indian food and kebab,
Been here a couple of times In the evening for dinner and was lovely lots of variety and food very tasty. Went for lunch yesterday and we had 2 plates and had to leave the food was awful and dry ...everything tasted the same and had barley anything out . Was all smothered In sauce but the meat beyond that was vile . Its put me off completely
Great value for money helpful friendly staff good variety of food and dessert 🍰
We been yesterday a first time,8 of us for dinner.Absolutely fantastic!Great food!Definitely going to come back soon!
Buffet had a lot to choose from, with plenty of drink options to choose from however some foods were ether over seasoned or over/under cooked. Nice staff constantly moving cleaning tables etc, best avoided at peak times
Food quality wasn’t the best. The buffet is mostly Chinese food & I found the Indian food very spicy (I’ve never had a really spicy korma or tikka masala before this place). Won’t be going back again.
This place is awful the food is dry majority of dishes were always gone and the duck was like cardboard as they had no hoisin sauce would never return
Good selection of food, mostly Chinese and Indian. Drinks reasonably priced, with options for unlimited refill.Part of the lexicon, parking close by.
Great food. Good price. Friendly staff
Really good selection of foods, pretty clean, and staff are attentive. Recommend.
The food was terrible, the Indian buffet felt like a disgrace to our culture, it was completely flavourless, everything else was dry or lacked taste, cosmo in reading was so much better, I miss the Tangs from Slough, this Tangs disappointed me and my family so much we will not be coming back here. The staff would not pick up our empty finished plates, even though there were many stacked on our table theyd simply stare at us. Had experience I do not reccomend it.
Kids go to place and food is good, better selection at dinner. We have been twice in summer holidays and only thing i would say was a few lights were flickering across the whole building. I had to move tables as was giving me a headache
Great staff very welcomingGreat tasting food all ways hot and great selection of drinks would recommend to every one
Slightly disturbing about the meal offer some people are single parents why discriminate and advertise you can only have the offer a free child meal with 2 paying adults maybe rethink your ethos. The food was bland the meaty is very chewy not great probably won’t return on a good note spring rolls are nice.
Terrible. My husbands favourite thing there is the muscles in black bean sauce. He usually likes them but today they were so wrong. He had to take out viens and there was some brown stuff in it that shouldnt of been. When he told the manager she rudely said that she has worked there for 4 years and they are always like that. They have never been like that and we go there regularly. She asked the chiefs and they said thats how they eat them in China. It really isnt. We believe the chiefs have gotten lazy. And to top it off we only had 2 plates each and didnt get any money back. We left there and went to the harvester.
The worst buffet for people that choose quantity. Poor quality food and choice, the only eatable was sirloin and squid grilled in front of you. They offer a mix of cuisine: chinese, indian, pizza, japanese…never found such a bad sushi. The place has no wifi nor data signal and service is not existing, it is run like the cheapest joint, at high prices: a small bottle of water is gbp 2.50 and additional to the fix cost of the food, apx gbp 20; the toilets do not have paper towels, nor an electric dryer and it is amazingly busy. would rate minus stars if it was an option.
Dined on a Friday evening.Superb wide range of dishes available.Sometimes a little slow to restock key mainstay items after they ran out but it was busy.Teppanyaki counter was brilliant. Cook was friendly. Tried squid in soy/oil for first time ever. Delicious.Highly recommended if you are hungry and,/or want to sample new dishes.
Had such a great time here the food was amazing definitely go the again
Ive visited this restaurant a couple of times on weekends. A bit more pricey than on weekdays but for the many different selections of food made available i feel its well worth it. From a selection of chinese, Thai, Indian English hot & cold food & an array of desserts including drinks galore allowing you to refill your plates, bowls & glasses as many times as you want too (not including alcohol which is paid for seperatleyyou definatley leave feeling satisfied. The toilets are of fair standard but feel could be of a higher standard. All workers in different areas are helpful & polite. Restaurant is light & spacious with plenty of tables to eat at. Lovely atmosphere!
First time ever at Tangs , we got seated fast even though we didnt book ahead. I was pleased with the selection of food here. My favourite were the seafood section. Would happily recommend this place for foodies. Great options for desserts too.
Really appalled with this place, it’s completely gone down hill big time and it’s nothing like it was before. The standards and quality of food are very poor; and this really needs addressing, if this place wishes to remain open.I visited earlier today and paid £55.48 for two adults and 2 kids aged 3; and this would definitely be justified if the food standards were good, but it just wasn’t.They don’t explain anything when you buy tickets for the buffet. After paying and asking about drinks/water, they advised me to go to the bar to get glasses for drinks, but they don’t advise that you are charged extra for these glasses, as they’re for refillable soft drinks from the machine, which were an extra £3.20 each person (including water), which was only explained at the bar! Ok fair enough, but the variety of drink was absolutely appalling, with just 3 types of only diet/sugar free Pepsi’s, which isn’t everyone’s ideal taste regardless of sugar contents, so normal Pepsi or Coke should have been an option, or they had a Fanta and Fizzy Vimto equivalent but even these tasted horrible, or machine water. They didn’t have any child friendly non fizzy soft drinks, such as simple orange/apple juice or even a cordial. The place in general wasn’t really child suited. The food was really and truly disgusting, especially anything that was heated, and after one small plate of the buffet, I was suffering from tummy problems; and 5 hours later as I’m typing this review, I’m still in a very bad state. Also to add, the set up for gluten free/other food allergies, and the variety was also very appalling, you have to check the ingredients listed for each and every individual dish, and yet it cannot be guaranteed if the dish is gluten free or not, as everything is openly besides each other, with dishes containing gluten and others, and everything can easy be contaminated. The management really needs to be a bit more cautious around this; and even have a gluten free/food allergy menu, so a person can feel more at ease.My wife is Celiac and follows a gluten free diet; and due to the set up and non guarantee of gluten free options, she hardly ate here, so a complete waste of money and time. The only plus point I can give for this place was that the staff, and Chef’s were friendly.Other than that, unfortunately we will not be coming here again.
Recently came under new management. Food is questionable as it’s a buffet but just tastes so damnnn good.
Went here for our sons 18th birthday recently and found it to be a most pleasant experience. The choices of food is amazing and delicious. Its a simple buffet system where you have as much or little of whatever you want. Choice of meals from chinese, indian, english, pizzas and even sushi, and if you still have room for desert there is plenty of that to choose from too. There is a bar for refreshments although the choice of lager is very limited. Overall experience was great and will definitely be returning in the future.
Its OK. Good selection of food but its not the best taste wise. The grill bit was good, I had white fish cooked fresh and it was lovely.
Really good experience. Staff was really nice, huge selection of food and all was really good. Will definitely visit again!
Food was amazing first time here. On our visit we had two black outs during the meal I myself had a bowl of soup was carrying it back to my table went to go up the two steps and slipped on some food and sprained my ankle. Ruined the rest of the evening. For me and my family...
Lunch time prices very reasonable. Not as much choice but plenty to fill up on. Dont expect all the choices of puddings at lunch. Still good and cheap for two adults and a child
The best buffet restaurant around this area, Camberley and Aldershot have a buffet restaurants that are no where close to the flavours and freshness. The range of cuisines are also quite varied. The only reason for a 4 star is the price of the buffet on weekends, I guess with the increase in costs everywhere they can’t help it but I still think it is dearer.
Would give less then one star as we never ate there due to a so called ‘fire’ even though there didn’t seem to be a rush of getting other paying customers out of the restaurant. Had a big party which got turned away from every other restaurant. Thanks for telling us when we arrived for our booked table and ruining our night.
Very Poor the food was very greasy and although we arrived just after it opened the rice had been cooking for ages. The choice of food was not very good.I have been several times before and it was generally good, but not this time.Sorry but I cant recommend
Ive been going on and off since it has opened, Ive noticed a little decline this year and I believe its from the impact of covid and tight purse strings but overall? Worth every penny. £8.50 for a lunch service which considering a 5 chicken select meal at mcdonalds is around £6 . The price you pay is worth your fill. Even if you have only a plate or two.
Food was hot and fresh, staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean and tidy, great value for money on variety of food will be going again
Food is amazing ! Drinks are nice. Brilliant presentation of the food. So much to offer. The chef that cooks the steak is really friendly ! Place is decent and comfortable also. Amazing !
Lovely decor staff are friendly. Food was a complete let down, cold bland and boring no seasoning everything just tastes the same 1 star because the dessert section was actually decent with the chocolate fountain, disappointed as my son would of liked the sweets and marshmallows but they wasnt halal so he had a bowl of melted chocolate and ice cream would be nice to have some halal sweets there.
Love the salmon and sushi, I went straight for the prawns and the lemon sauce, the sweet and sour sauce is lovely on chicken.Loved the choclate fountain, less nibbles to put in it, than last time.Free iced water, still a good price for a limitless meal, just over a tenner.
The staffs were very welcoming and the interior designs gave off quite an energy.Went during lunch hours 11am-3pm so there was a reduced cuisine choices, but the main ones were still there. All of the Indian curries was bland.Highly recommend the beef stew and the special fried rice
There is a wonderful variety of food on offer here from Indian, Chinese pizza to English. They also do a brilliant variety of desserts which personally was my favourite. Next time Im going to have one plate for main and go straight to desserts! Restaurant was clean, tidy and well run. They cleaned your plates away as soon as you had finished with them and no problem getting a fresh one. Its a bit expensive, but if you think of it as a 3+course meal its not too bad. Make sure you are hungry before coming.
Really gutted. Visited this evening with my family as is my sons favourite restaurant or was before covid. Southern fried chicken was raw in middle and other chicken sides to dry so asked manager to speak with her to tell her. She basically called me a liar and said she checked it and it was fine her whole attitude stank. I asked her could she not take constructive criticism off a customer as she was disagreeing with everything I said. She wouldnt listen so here are the photos of raw chicken and I am also emailing head office absolutely shocking customer service skills. Plus air conditioning not working but didnt even bother to mention that. Not a happy customer 😒
Not a huge fan of buffet style restaurants so my expectations were low but yet Tangs still managed to disappointed me. Firstly the buffet is tiny!!! It is mostly Chinese food the Thai offering was two curries, the Japanese was some questionable sushi and the Indian was only 3 curries the rest is variations of sweet and sour slop and school dinner pizza from the 90s (not a nostalgic memory worth recreatingThe worse thing was that the salt and pepper prawns had not been deveined so literally I was eating sh!t which frankly sums up the whole experience.
A good choice of Asian food. The teppanyaki is brilliant but one has to be patient for repeats. Well worth it though. The prawns and mussels are quite nice and so arr the dessert options. The seating arrangements are also convenient. The location is great, right in the Lexicon. Nearest parking is The Avenue.
The staff that welcomes us at the door were very friendly. The food was quite nice, some more so than others. Bottomless soft drink is £2.60 which is pretty reasonable but no full fat/sugar drinks. They are not very accommodating if youre fussy! I asked if they could make my young daughter a small serving of just plain noodles and was told no, having been to many buffets I was quite surprised by this as its something they are normally quite happy to do.
Food was very good. Service was friendly and Virginia was helpful in my first visit there. I liked the different variety of foods.
Wide selection of food from different cusines , great ambience and helpful staff.
A good choice of Indian, Chinese, Japanese and Malaysian food. Was pleasantly surprised how many dishes were available for the lunch time buffet and for 8.50 it was excellent value. The restaurant itself is also lovely and clean. Will definitely be returning soon
Good selection of food, friendly service and no restrictions on how long you can stay. I did find the restaurant very cold but apart from that it was a great first visit. Dinner is £14.99.
im really suprised at some of the reviews as we had a lovely time! the food was delicious and always hot...i went back about 3 times! the man on the door when we arrived was lovely and friendly too. the only reason i didnt rate a five as our table was next to a dirty plate station, where food waste was scraped into one bowl and dirty crokery in another. it wasnt nice sitting next to food waste whilst eating , perhaps a small partition wall could be put here to block it from eyes view? otherwise the place was lovely and we were not dissapointed.
