Tandoori Herzilya Pituach Indian Restaurant - Indian restaurant in Herzliyya, Israel
Indian restaurant with an authentic atmosphere
After all these years, still genuine Indian food with good service.
Traditional good food but relatively expensive for what you get.
Tasty Indian food, staff is amicable. Ambience is good.
We celebrated a birthday of one member of our party of 8. The restaurant, upon learning this, gave us a bottle of wine on the house; a very nice gesture. We ordered a variety of dishes, all delicious.Service was quick and pleasant. We enjoyed the meal which lasted a couple of hours.Bottom line: The restaurant offers good value for the money.
We had great event. Best food at hertzelia.
Many dishes to choose from, pleasant atmosphere and service. Tasty dishes. Prices too high
The food is okay not amazing, service was better before,
Nice lunch or dinner for Indian food lovers
Very good Indian food, good nans (chicken kulcha and garlic nan are the best). Excellent service
Great as always. The best Indian restaurant in Israel. The food is always good, the smells and tastes are fabulous. The atmosphere is very good and you always get the service with a smile.I can eat every day in this place.
Great food, good service, clean and nice. High Gluten-free awareness and lots of options.
The food is amazing and ambience too...!! I liked it very much and probably should visit in Herzliya
Indian restaurant.A lot of variaty of authentic Indian dishes. Many dishes cater for the vegan and vegeterian people and all were tasty. Not cheap but not too expensive.Update:2 years later. We have been a few times now. While the food is great the service has become slow and inaccurate. The restaurant is noisy and when crowded, youll have to shout to get heard. It takes them 20 min to arrive with your meal and if youll want to add something after the food arrived, think twice. You will finish your meal before it arrives.Sadly this is our last time well come here.
Lovely restaurant. Great atmosphere. Food good but not great. Would have liked it to be up to British standards. But a nice evening was had by all.
Tandoori is one and only the best Indian restro you will get in Israel. The food and ambience of Indian culture is really amazing. The quality and quantity of the dishes are really good.Don’t forget to try deserts over here as they are nicely cooked by the chef’s and taste soo awesome. Also the owners of the place are really genuine and kind persons🙂
The food was OK. But the waitress(an Indian ladyforced us to pay the tip along with the total bill. She said that it’s the rule of the restaurant to pay 10% of the total bill as a tip. I was shocked to hear that. I wanted to call the police but I avoided that, because we were in a hurry to attend a program. So, we paid 1508+160(tip)shekels. Embarrassing moment to be treated by my fellow Indian on a foreign land.😡
Loved the food, very tasteful. Service was very good. Enjoyed having dined there.
Bad service and NOT GLUTEN FREE...my daughter is gluten intolerant (celiac). Although our waitress said that everything we ordered for her is absolutely gluten free, my daughter had a very bad allergic reaction and therew up all night!!!.I called the restaurant and Ms Rina - the owner - kept on interrupting me, wouldnt take responsibility or let me speak. She kept insisting she was running a business that is gluten free and that there is no way that my daughter had gluten at her restaurant. She basically suggested I was lying. I am sorry to say that even speaking with her over the phone the day after became a really bad experience!!!!!!!
Disappointed in the food. Not well spiced. Service not good but the waiters are pleasant. Waited a long time to get a menu and to be able to order. Food was only warm.
If you like Indian food, do yourself a favour and go to Tandoori! Amazing food and excellent service.Thank you Reena for an outstanding experience 🙏 we had a great time!
Nic place and nic ambient . Indian food is good here but very expensive. Price could have been better compared to the food. I consider its a Wastage of money eating here. People at the reception isnt very welcoming and I found customers arguing because of their behaviour
Very special. Very kind hosting
Specifically the Herzelia branch Is nice and the food is tasty. Prices are also relatively low. On busy nights the service is a bit slow due to shortage of waiters.
I know Tandoori for very long time and in fact I havent visited there for long time...must say was very disappointing, the Tika didnt taste like it used to, the samosa was with less spices, even the tomato soup tasted different and was more of minestrone soup....the Tika masala was good though.... must say once Pushkarna and her Son left, services was bad...I am used to someone always around the tables filling everyones glass with water...today I had to chase till someone looked at me so I can ask for water...for the price you pay I expect super experience nothing less.
Great restaurant!! Amazing food and service. Dish took lomg so brought us free food!
Food delicious and portions are more than satisfying. The staff is very polite and professional.
So me and my girlfriend were really disappointed.the portion sizes were very small, the protein(chickencomes with absolutely nothing on the side you need to order that separatelysuch as the rice, and when you do its only a small plate .and the prices for that amount of protein is laughable.the service was okay at best.the menu is confusingno pictures(no visual comparison between dishes).it took 20 minutes to get our order and another 20 minutes for us to get the check and pay.
I make 5 stars for the owners and atmosphere. Good place to explore Indian food. Actually it could be more spacy. But Gulab Jamun for the desert is best in the world.
Ate with My friend today ,We got stomach problems after eating in this restaurant. Owner said that the weird taste of the meal is due to "lack of chickens"In Israel.STAY AWAY !
We got a super dry chicken and not delicious meal.Owner told us the low quality meat is a repeating complain and its due to the "lack of chickens" in Israel (?!?!?!?!?!?).Service was just OK.We got stomach problems after eating there. On the Good side - mango Lassi was good
Best Indian restaurant in Tel Aviv
Second time, Buffet is good, need to work on cleaning and sanitation. Chai Masala was great after meal.
I ordered through wolt, The worst Indian food in israel.Terrible food. The samosa crumble like saw dust in your mouth. The dhal had a burnt taste, had to throw the entire dinner in the trash. The restaurant did not even bother to correct their mistake
One of the famous Indian restaurant. Location wise it is really in good location. It has 2 presence in Israel , TelAviv and Hrzila. Both locations are good. From food perspective , it requires lot of improvement when we talk about Indian food.Ok from Menu perspective , Indias food has its charm but that charm is missing.I would like to see improvement.
I was in Tel Aviv - Harzliya for 3 months for work-2009. I used to take my lunch daily here and dinner over the weekend. The owner madam always used to provide us more than what we used to order. She also invited us for a dandia festival, however we didnt go thinking that it was just a casual invitation. When we went for lunch next day she asked us about the reason why we didnt go, when she personally invited us. We regretted that we didnt go. She is very good host and humanitarian. Food is tasty too.
an hour after ordering, when the food should have arrived, i got a call from the restaurant saying that the delivery person had just come back from another delivery and was leaving now with the food. i live 15-20 minutes from the restaurant. another hour later I called to ask where the food was and was told it would come in 5-7 minutes, which it did: 2 hours after ordered. It was cold, but after warming up tasty.
Beautiful place. Excellent food. Perfect hospitality. Wonderful service
A warm welcome, nice service, but if there are lot of people, it takes a while. The main courses were good. The butter man was crispy and tastee. The deserts were ok. The kulfi was more like an ice cream and the gulab jamun was not to my taste. Overall we like the place and have visited a few times and will visit in the future.
High-class restaurant. Thanks to Rina for an amazing evening, great food and magical atmosphere
Good place good food but, very expensive. If you are tourist I think you can afford this to your self.
It is located in the highend and posh area of Jerusalem. That may be the reason why the above name is given on Google maps. Yet it would be appropriate to call it "Tandoori Indian Kitchen" because that is the name painted on resraurant front and alod commonly known as such. The restaurant accommodation consists of ground and first floor. Found Indian decor throughout the restaurant, ground as well as first floor. It was good and created quite an Indian ambiance.A buffet lunch was arranged for our group on the first floor. It was lavish spread. Two non veg dishes two veg dishes and couple of common veg. Pulao and chapaties. To round off the meal there were two sweet dishes. The food was very very tasty and delicious. The statement was true for every dish tasted and eaten by us.Service on the table was impeccable. It was a meal, the taste of which we were not likely to forget for some time.It was so because were told that it belonged to the "Tandoori" chain of restaurants in Israel and the world over established by Reena Pushkarna, celebrity chef, restaurateur and business entrepreneur.Icing on the cake was that our group was introduced to Reena Pushkarna who was there in person to see that we were looked after. It transpired that the owner of agency looking after our travels and arrangements in Israel and Reena Pushkarna were personal friends.A truly memorable lunch and Afternoon.
Such an amazing generous team, great tasty food and loving atmosphere. The owners are the best.
india restaurant run many years here. spicy chicken is good taste.
The best Indian food around by far lovingly cooked and cared for by the lady Owner. Extraordinarily busy on Friday night. Book and enjoy.I’ve just been for another meal and the food is as good as before. Try the Southern Indian dishes.Ignore the one star review. The guy is not to be trusted !
The best Indian restaurant in Israel, prices are madorate, most of the staff are from India and cant speak hebrew, there is a private room and another floor upstair, the service is great but its better to choose a close menu if you come with a group, the bathroom is downstairs so if you are with a weelchair you cant go strait to the bathroom.
Tandoori is a restaurant with many faces:They have vegetarian, vegan and meat dishes so everyone can find something to eat here, provided they like Indian food. They have great lunch time buffet, its cost effective diverse and delicious. There is an off-menu secret Tahli dish, you can get at the evenings, its served on a tray and composed of a large variety of little dishes. Its very affordable and at times you can even get free refills. The rest of the menu are at order dishes, which are quite expensive, often served in not too large portion and at times feel uninspired.Service is perfect and very reminiscent of India
The best place in Israel to eat indian food.
Dont come here if you dont plan on ordering first course. We ordered Shahi Paneer & Rogan Ghost (main courses), basmati rice and garlic naan which we asked that will be served first. Main courses and rice arrived first after almost 45 minutes!! Main dished were delicious but small, the naan was oily and not that great, nor were the spreads that were left on the table from previous visitors, which is quite disgusting. The service was overall not inviting, having the hosts on their phones when arriving and leaving and waiters werent too nice. Prices are very expensive. Wont come here again.
Well I am fen of Rina Pushkarna ji, yesterday in afternoon we have been 3 people. Food we eat it was good but there is problem with soup lentil. Its not test of Indian we 3 people feel there is "afkat marak"(powder of soup generally all Israeli use in traditional israeli soupwhen we ask about this to staff he came and told us he working in there 10 years and this is the test of soup. I suggest you tandoori go to Indeera restaurant and test soup of lentils thats the test of Indian. Well we ordered dum alu and palak paneer, garlic Naan and mango Lassi, that test we like so much.after we ordered kashmiri Naan and its must to be with dry fruit. But it wasnt like that it was very dry and little bit they put in side dry graps and all over they spread coconut. It was so dry it was really disappointed again. I just ask you tandoori if customers request you something so dont argue listen to customers and its make your food better. I love Rina Pushkarna ji and I do respact a lot 😊 I am an Indian and I know indian test very well.
