Delicious authentic indian food, slightly pricy but the biggest downside is one of the waiter, who tried to scam my friend that didnt speak russian by giving him a more expensive receipt (luckily he was smart enough to translate everything and rectify itand he stares at you very uncomfortably.

5 star restaurant from my experience. I have tried so many restaurants in the world but never came across in St petersburg like the taste and super friendly staff.Super welcoming and the atmosphere is unique. Resalable prices and must visit thats for sure .

Good restaurant with Good food & ambience. Credit where its due. I would have given 5 stars but they refused to accept our entrance on a cold windy night when all other restaurants (even Russianwere accepting & welcoming. Never seen such bad attitude especially towards fellow Indian tourists from so called Indian compatriots. I would recommend fellow Indian guests to st Petersburg to stay away from such bad unwelcoming people.

Potato Sambosa, Chicken masala and Shrimp Masala are so good, staff also very kind.

The food is ok it is not wow by all mean. The staff were nice and friendly. I order chicken baryani and it was just souse with rice mixed and top with rice the taste was ok but it is not baryani . I also had the sweet which ok . As far as price it is above average.

It is located right next to Issac cathedral. Authentic indian food is the speciality. You can sit inside..the place has nice ambience...good indian songs. Staff is very courteous. There is also option of sitting outside with a good view. Dont miss for the nice india food and feel of the ambience.

Food is average, the biriyani was not good as expected and also bit expensive as compared to other indian restaurants. The interior of the restaurant is good

Loved the food it was delicious.The menu offered a variety of different options of popular Indian dishes. I loved their biryani & butter chicken. I recommend this restaurant to all especially the arab tourists who are looking for halal food. The staff were very nice & polite. The atmosphere is very cosy & comfortable.

Lovely Indian restaurant in the heart of the city! Food tastes just like in India, good atmosphere and friendly staff. Gulab jamun is my all time favorite! Before trying Indian food I’d recommend to google some info, cause tastes differ, you might not like it.

Make sure to reserve a table, and mind that food is very spicy!Very cozy and atmospheric place. Food is great, personnel is nice. Very broad variety of tasty indian food. Appetizer+curry+rice is enough for two people, and mango shake is great too.

Visited Tandoor for lunch today. It was the best Indian Food I have eaten in many years. Authentic, well presented, well cooked, very very tasty. Grandson thoroughly enjoyed the spicy Seafood Soup. Three of us had the business lunch Thalli. Amazing. Such a choice of individual dishes on the dish. They all complimented each other. The Naan Bread was delicious. All the food was Amazing. Those of us who had the Thalli had too much to eat. I have never seen so much Naan Bread for three people.Customer service was outstanding. Staff so helpful and making sure that everything was ok for us.The Restaurant is well laid out. Seating was very comfortable. All facilities are extremely clean and tidy.I would Highly Recommend this Restaurant to anyone visiting or eating out in Saint Petersburg.The last time I had Indian Food as good as this was in Goa over 20 years ago.

Really nice authentic Indian food. I like the service there and staff is friendly, plus, they all speak good English. The quality of food is great, mainly north Indian food. They need to introduce south Indian food on the menu, it would make it even better.Good atmosphere, lively. Perfect in summer with outside sitting with good views.

Amazing Indian food with gluten free curries (celiac friendly)! The waitors are very friendly and speak great English. Just be careful when choosing the spiciness level: we had 5/10 and it was a nice balance of hot and being able to taste the other spices.

The taste is tweaked a bit to match Russian taste. The food looks very good to see but taste is not upto the mark for what you pay. The place is very small and conjusted, and tables are small too. Absolutely beautiful food and even better staff . I LOVED every part of our experience in tandoor and our waiter Harry was so friendly and made our evening even more enjoyable. I had the butter chicken ,spicy and my husband had the chicken curry,spicy too. They make the dishes according to your desired spice level. They also brought out complimentary poppadoms to start with dips and a scoop of ice cream at the end. We both had the best time here. Thank you . Will recommend to anyone we know coming to St.Petersburg.

Going by prior reviews expected so much more. Whilst a beautifully designed and atmospheric restaurant and blessed with hard working and professional waiting staff the food itself was a let down.Lengthy wait time for food to arrive - was busy in fairness - but once food arrived pretty sure the chicken vindaloo which I ordered was nothing of the sort. Milder than a cream cake and zero kick to it, not what seasoned curry eaters would pass as acceptable. Naan disappointing also. Given the prices compared to other Indians in the city can’t see me returning anytime soon

The restaurant was well located in the tourist district. The food was good and aregular Indian fare and the prices were moderate. The veg pakodas were very good. Service was a bit too slow but the staff was friendly. The restaurant can upgrade their music selection :)

One of the most authentic Indian restaurant I ate during my trip in Russia! The staff and the food are authentic and delicious. Very amazed by the quality of the food. It’s as close as the Asian Indian food.The staff are friendly and speaks English! In Russia it’s tough to find people that speaks English. So this restaurant is a thumbs up! I highly recommend as the price is affordable and the portion of the food is great.

But I have got nothing to gain in posting a 3 star review, this is a genuine feedback on what did Happen, I myself being a chef can differentiate between chicken cooked in a tandoor and just cooking it directly in the gravy. Im not a newbie to the kitchen. Could be a bad day for the kitchen, agreed .We looked for the best rated restaurants in St.Petersburg and this came in the top list. But our experience was a sad one.Weve ordered for a chicken tikka masala, what we got was chicken which wasnt even put in a tandoor and cooked in the gravy directly. When asked they said that it was put in tandoor but the blackened parts are removed, which didnt make sense as the pieces didnt even have the mark or hole of the skewer.The food was okayish, definitely not the best we had in St.Petersburg.

Gurmeet waited on us. He was very cheerful and helpful. The food was great - and authentic Indian cuisine. The restaurant also has a good ambience, without outdoor as well as indoor seating. I liked the ambience, food was great considering the fact its in Europe. Service, price, quality was amazing. A must try restaurant in St. Petersburg.

If you really want Indian style dishes and main Course Tandoor is perfect. Lunch is From 12 to 4. Wide variety of Dishes are available and Cooked by Indian origin chef. Little bit expensive ( like European price rate ). But Its worthful.

Im an Indian and quite obviously I know how Indian food tastes like and should taste like. To every native who comes running to this place to get a taste of India, well, dont. Its simply not worth it, at the price you are made to pay what you get in return is simply a huge turn down. My advice to every non-Indian who would like to get acquainted with our vibrant food culture would be to buy the raw ingredients and make it on your own with the help of the internet, trust me your efforts would create a better result than the food served here.

A premium place with tasty food, excelent service and good draught beers. Affordable as well.One should consider experiencing the place if goes in the area.Also have in mind that they don’t cook spicy (I ordered spicy food and it was only a bit spicy), so if you want spicy you need to tell your waiter from the start.

Simply the best Indianrestaurant I have ever visited.It was the first Indian restaurant I have ever tried, I had tried later others in Malaysia and India itself but non can reach this one.The food is amazing, the atmosphere is charming and the staff is very kind and helpful.I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Very expensive for what you get. Lots of food on the menu but not everything is delicious. There is a lack of authentic in the flavor. The decor is great. Service is ok but the restaurant is over priced!!

The best Indian food that you can taste!! The garlic bread and the cheese bread are very good! I tried the butter chicken as a main dish and it was wonderful! Highly recommended, you need to make a reservation if you cant wait! We had to wait for 15 mins and it was worth it!

Possibly the best Indian restaurant, with great food and variety plus the location is also quite central. Though sometime you have to wait in queue to get a place, always better to book a reservation either personally or via calling.

7 pm, with friends...and came across this restaurant so tried getting in and got successful after 10 minutes. But felt strange on being asked, if we had reservations (was never asked that question in any if the European countries).Ordered Onion pakodas (though ordered aalk as well), Paneer kadhai, dal makhani along with Veg pulav and Kulchas.Food served hot along with pudina and imli (tamerindchatni/dip and mix achaar. Observations :1. Friendly and courteous staff and great service.2. Restaurant is located at an excellent location.3. Above average food, when compared to actual Indian food back home. Portions are sized well though. Pulav was beans added to Jira rice.4. Good ambiance with lively Bollywood music playing in the background.Feedback :Can add Kadhi, Rajma etc to the menu.Overall good place to be at and if in St. Petersburg and craving for Indian food then MUUUUUUST visit.

The best indian food I have ever tried. Hands down!

This is one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever visited. The service is outstanding, all the waiters are polite and care about the visitors. Cuisine is perfect and authentic, so if you would like to taste real Indian dishes you should definitely visit this place. Be careful when choosing something specific because it may be not what you expect. I have chosen a tea with coconut milk and curcuma, that was too much unusual though tasty and nice. All the waiters are glad to help and give you an advice what to choose.

I really liked this place. Very beautiful interior, very delicious food. Very kind staff. You can consider the menu here inexpensive, because most of the orders here are enough for two people.

This restaurant is absolutely lovely.The service is kind and friendly.The food is spicy but not too spicy for the European customer and the portions are big enough as well.I payed for me and my girlfriend about 30€ which is a really good price, I think.The live acts were really good as well.Overall, from the ambience to the service is just really enjoyable.

We did not make a reservation, I would recommend you do. But the short wait was worthwhile, very good dishes, the waiters know their menu, and can really advise you, not only for the food, but also for the choice of wine.We had a very nice evening here, and will certainly come back again if we visit Petersburg.

Nice location, decor, atmosphere, and music. The service is friendly, helpful, and prompt. I find the menu quite expensive for the quality if ordering main dishes. However, the lunch specials are wonderful. While they are expensive compared to other lunches in the city, the quantity and quality of food is excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant for the lunch alone.
