Tame Wallabies EnkleDooVery Korna in Oamaru

We had a great time visiting the wallabies (as well as the other gorgeous animals on the property!)Many of the wallabies were interactive, enjoyed snacking and holding our hands. It was a lovely experience and I would definitely recommend a trip here to anyone visiting the area!Gwen was also such a lovely person - very kind and caring of us and made sure we had the best time during our visit - cannot thank her enough!

We unfortunately did not manage to join in as it’s eftpos or cash only (no credit cards). The owner is lovely, lots of kind words from other folks (presumably regularswe met at the reception who raved about the place. We did manage to see a little adorable wallaby baby and can’t imagine what a fun experience this must be!Be sure to check it out if you’re passing by.

A very unique experience. You get to feed the Wallabies (if they are hungryand you can walk around to different paddocks to meet different ones. They all have a different personality. Well worth the visit.

Amazing place, the owner is a wonderful lady and the wallabies are so unbelievably cute and friendly! They happily come to you for a treat, and hold your palms very gently while eating. You can read their names and few things about each of them on each gate. I absolutely love this place, totally didnt expect the little cuties to be so social!!

A unique experience, getting up close to feed and pat the wallabies. We spent nearly 2 hours walking around the different paddocks. $15 per adult and $10 per child, which includes a bag of feed each and a pair of gumboots to use so you dont get your own shoes dirty.

The host here is amazing. Shes so funny and really knowledgeable. She loves the wallabies and her passion shows in this. Happy healthy animals well cared for 🦘💕 Was a great experience and well worth the wee ticky tour to the area. Cheap to-do for families travelling thru town.

Im going to give 5 stars because the owner is a hard case and would easily ward off snowflakes.Its a great experience for the kids but I think the price could be adjusted a little. Im sure that the vet bills are huge but the experience doesnt warrant the price.Its a good one off but if it were a little cheaper, they would probably get a lot more return custom.

We, a party of three adults and two kids visited Tame Wallabies. Gwen the owner is passionate about caring for the wallabies. She gave clear instructions on what to do when feeding and interacting with the animals. There were 40 Wallabies in different paddocks. We spent more than an hour mostly feeding them. Our kids enjoyed feeding the animals and petting them. They are now asking for a pet Wallaby as they are cute and friendly :There were also other animals such as peacocks, geese, ponies, sheep and chicken. Seeing the peacock so close was a bonus also. A good place for kids to appreciate Wallabies!

Excellent experience for young and old with these gentle creatures .The owner of this farm is the real star a generous diamond in the rough.Treat her well.

The Wallabie Park is quite an enjoyable experience, as you get the opportunity the feed the Wallabies. The food is part of the $15 entry price and you feed the Wallabies from your hand. Highly recommended for children, or if you just want to focus on something else for a bit.

Feed tame wallabies. Given little bag of food pellets and instructions and can go walking thru the enclosures feeding the wallabies by hand. They are very gentle but can try to hop up so just follow instructions. Very friendly lady. Didnt get to ask some questions after feeding wallabies as she kept talking.

Wallabies are so cute! Loved it. Gwen was so lovely, helpful and just the nicest lady around. Massively knowledgeable about the area and the south island in general.

Have often passed the Waimate turn off going south without taking the opportunity to visiting the wallabies...my mistake...this was a wonderful experience and suitable for young and old alike. Lots of grassed pens and able to visit almost 40 wallabies in small groups. They, (along with the ownerare absolutely adorable and you are able to free feed them. Could not get over how gentle they were. A unique experience that is so worthwhile and memorable I have only 2 words...Go Visit!!

Apparently wallabies are a pest in NZ, but we loved seeing and feeding them! The lady running it is charming and so memorable! $15NZ and you can stay as long as you want!

Interesting way to spend an hour. Wear some crocs and feed some wallabies. Some wallabies bounce up to you, others seem less interested. The food is included in the price. I think some more information would be useful/interesting. There is a few other animals (peacocks, chickens, and horseson the farm.

Such a wonderful experience! A highlight of our trip around the South Island. If you have young kids, this is definitely worth a visit. My daughter loved feeding the wallabies and petting them. She also got to hold a baby one, which was adorable. Make sure you bring cash to pay the entrance fee; they dont take credit cards.

We really respect the lady who runs this place. She is not only friendly and hospitable to her guests; her passion and care toward the animals really shine through. If you want close encounters with wallabies (we also saw peacocks, geese, and a cuckatooin a cruelty-free environment, this is the place to go!

These cute furry little things will hop towards you and grab your hand for food. Only thing i regret was not getting more food to feed them. The place had a great feel and theres even a peacock around. The lady who owns the place is also extremely nice. I would definitely go again if im in the area.

We had so much fun feeding the wallabies. The owner of this place is super friendly. She even let us spent some time with the baby wallaby - so cute! There are also other animals at this farm. The owner told us they managed the farm without any help from sponsors or government. I think they should continue what they are doing. Highly recommended to visit of you are in the Waimate area!

This is a very nice experience. You are met by Gwen and given a bag of food to feed the wallabies. She also gives you exact instructions on how to approach and feed them.There are quite a few paddocks, each containing about four wallabies. We spent almost two hours there as, even though they are a pest, they are very cute. Watch out for the paddock containing the "Greedies" as they are!

My husband and I spent a wonderful afternoon wandering around the pens, feeding the tame wallabies. We were provided with boots or crocs and a bag of pellets each. We were shown how to approach, feed and scratch the wallabies by Gwen, the very experienced owner. She has rescued many orphaned baby wallabies and cares for them well. A really great experience. Good value for money (cash onlyIf you love animals, put this on your agenda.

Worth doing, even in the rain! Pretty cheap and you get a bag of pellets and instructions. Most of them are unafraid and will hold your hands as they eat with their soft wee mouths. Absolutely loved it. We were debating going because of the rain but when else will I ever get the chance to hand feed wallabies again?

Great experience! Gwen and her friends were very welcoming. Gwen provided us with boots to wear and gave us each a bag of wallaby food. After a short lesson on how to interact with the wallabies and where to go, she just let us run loose. The wallabies were so cute and soft. It was drizzling but the wallabies fur was still soft. They like to eat a lot and will crowd around for the food. Theres usually at least one greedy one eager to eat from your hands.

Gwen and the Wallabies are amazing! She’s a very kind host, and does a great job of making sure everyone knows how to have a great time with the animals. 100% recommend stopping by!!

Hadnt planned on stopping by here but knew the place existed and with my two and a half-year-old daughter with me, I thought it would be a fun experience for us both. After arriving we were greeted by a friendly woman who took us out and showed us what to do and where to go.We took our time walking through the different pens feeding and patting the various wallabies. They are all very friendly and come up for a feed!If you are in the area make sure you stop by here. Its reasonably priced and good fun!
