Tamashii in Beirut

Tamashii serves innovative Japanese food in a small, beautifully decorated space. The staff is friendly and kind, and the owner greets the guests and helps them choose specialty dishes. They use high-quality sushi-grade salmon, bluefin tuna, shrimp, scallops, eel, surimi crab, and much more. I’d recommend experimenting with the menu as they serve an exciting variety, though the rock shrimp tempura (appetizerand monster fire (uramaki specialare personal favorites.

Average, but pricy sushi.

Whats not to like. Food is fresh, amount of fish in makis is excellent (you are not eating rice like in the other places), the specials are not to miss. Ambiance is unique and Sake selection is impressive. My favorite sushi place in Beirut

From the reviews I expected something wow!It was good but not great 😊The best thing we had was the Agi Shisho - very recommended and uniqueOtherwise their sushi is okay..what bothered us was the manager/owner and how he was on top of us constantly and was very VERY loud. We did not feel comfortable around such attitude. He also focused on one table (probably he had friends trying to impress).The waiter was helpful thoughOne a positive note you can order the rolls in half order which is a great choice!Wouldn’t go again

Very nice cozy japanese restaurant. It consists of 3 tables of 4 and a bar. The food was amazing and there was a large variety of dishes and rolls. The service was great as well. Recommend it!

Vercy delicious and clean food, everything is at its finest. I highly recommend the agi shisho as appetizers and the chocolate biscuits as dessert in the end and dont forget the magic tissues!

I was impressed by the high quality, freshness , goodness and innovative taste , presentation and mixing of flavors of the sushi pieces and platters at tamashii. Pieces are very generous in portion, flavorful and u get to try very creative taste and items on their menu . We had a japanese feast that consists of a selection of sushi , makis , crispy and crunchy items , crispy salmon salad . We also tried their asian hot dishes like vegetable noodles , chicken platter with side of crunchy vegetables, and chicken juicy skewers . To end this ultimate enjoyable dinner experience , we had their mochi and molted biscuit au chocolat u get to dip in hot chocolate sauce .Tamashii completely got into my soul ...Service is fast , staff is friendly and knowledgeable, helpful in recommending choices ... would definitely go back .

The place is really small and table are too close to each other. The sushi was really good and the salad was yummy. The waitress was nice and well trained to assist us since it was our first visit. However, an incident that occurred and that will stop me from visiting the place again is when the owner with his friends who were having there dinner and chatting on the table next to ours, would not stop cursing and laughing loudly. I thought that was unprofessional and as customers it bothered us. We couldnt wait to finish and leave.

An eclectic menu that contains some exotic flavor combinations. Might not be the most affordable sushi, but is definitely a culinary experience. A cozy, quaint place on a busy street. Definitely worth a visit if youre in the area. I find it refreshing, and an advantage, that the selection of music isnt Japanese!

Worst sushi restaurant. Tried different variety and all was below expectations... way below.

The manager made fun of me for not knowing how to use the weird moist tissue paper that they have. Its a capsule that you soke in a water plate and then it expands to be usable. It would have been neat if he didnt make fun of me in front of my friend. The sushi was just okay but very overpriced.
