Taman Nasional Kelimutu - National park in Ende, Indonesia
Beautiful, no need for a guide though so just make your way there on your own, its only a 20 minute and very easy to navigate
the 3 colors lake.. very beautiful 🤩
Sich a wonderful and mystic place- must to go there 🤩😍
Very beautiful park with 3 lakes that changes color
We went before the sunrise to see the sunrise on the lakes. Weirdly there were already many people but it wasnt chaos. View was beautiful, colours of the sunrise very bright. Worth it 100%. Beware of the guides that want to bring you up there. Bargain the cost of you want their help. Dont give more than 100k rupias really!!!
Nice tracking to the point, where you can see 3 vulcanic lakes, whic in time change its colour.
Good destination for tourists after LBJ
All the scenery always great but the problem is they price local and foreigner is not even normal, 5.000 for local and 150.000 for foreigner. I went to lots of place but this is too much differences. Please kindly to manage this again. Thank you.
Beautiful view, nice track leading to point of interest, but signage is poor or lacking. Disappointing rowdy locals, but otherwise a sublime experience.
Nice view n if you ride motor bikes, nice road
Absolutely stunning! Epic and easy hike. Come here for sunrise, an absolute delight and pleasure.
Huge lopo around parking lot.. A good place to do another fun activities with your groups after visiting the lake👍
Such an incredible view here! better to go here at 4.00 in the morning from Moni to catch the best sunrise moment, you need to do tracking for 30-45 minutes to reach the peak and see the lakes from above. please wear your jacket and trainers bcs its really cold there. I forget about the entrances ticket price but its not that expensive.
I visited this place during Pandemic Covid-19, there are not many visitors came because of restriction.
Beautiful lake n lovely place 💗
Kelimutu- Color changing crater lakes in Flores.A calm and serene experience in the morning .Stay overnight at Kelimutu to climb up the mountain early. morning.Except for the few vendors and a bunch of monkeys, early morning crowds are less.Enjoy the kaleidoscope of nature at its best.
3 different colour from the lake at the top of mt.Kelimutu always made me want to come again n again...
Awesome view. The trails were not too hard, so anyone can go to the lake viewing spot. Visit it at dawn to catch the sunrise view, that would be the best time to enjoy the Kelimutu Lake.
Great place!!! Must see!
Most people will visit this place very early in the morning, to see the Sunrise. So I try the opposite, I visited this place in the afternoon. Around 3 oclock I must have to be there. And I get what Ive been expected. A very beautiful scenery for my own and nobody around.
Amazing experience! Did it for sunrise and it was stunning. In our opinion the lakes color get better when the sun is higher (if it is not cloudyso also starting from 8/9am! For more info IG@thecoconutstravel
Stunning view. There are 2 view point.Early morning was fogging, return back at 14:00
No words can describe the beauty of Kelimutu craters
Kelimutu (pronounced [kəliˈmutu]is a volcano, close to the small town of Moni in central Flores island in Indonesia. The volcano is around 50 km to the east of Ende, Indonesia, the capital of Ende regency in East Nusa Tenggara province. The mountain has three volcanic crater lakes that differ in color. The science of the Kelimutu lakes is relatively well-known.[2] Lake colors periodically change due to adjustments in the oxidation-reduction status of the fluid of each lake, and also considering the abundance of different major elements, such as iron and manganese. Oxidation-reduction status depends on the balance of volcanic gas input and rainfall rate,[3] and is thought to be mediated by the groundwater system in the volcano itself[4]. The colors in the lakes change independently from each other, as each has its own unique connectivity to the underlying volcanos activity. Between January and November 2016, the colors of the craters changed six times.[5] Although it is widely believed that the changes are unpredictable, it is more accurate to say that the lack of any regular monitoring of the volcanic system precludes scientists from having the data necessary to drive widely available predictive models.(Wikipedia.)
Amazing vista.. Especially the sunrise and the 3 lakes..
It was not such a long hike but the view is incredible. It is easy to climb up there but you better prepare a mask to cover your face from sulfur smell. You should hike before sunrise and watch sunrise up there.
Very Beautiful view.. So amazing
Incredible 3 crater mighty Kelimutu. One of the best spot must visit in Ende Flores
It was a good place.... Really awesome 😊
Good place is not made by, good place is given from God.
Stunning! Weve been there around 9am, The sky was clear and the light was good. It was an amazing and incredibile site, you must go there. The entrance fee for foreigners it 150000rp from monday to saturday. And 225000rp on sunday.
Kelimutu was worth the 4 day drive from Labuhanbajo. Its the most stunningly beautiful landscape Ive seen. The lakes look surreal and it is very well managed.
Their continuously improving the park, providing steps and paths that make it easier for visitors to reach the top. You can get a local guide to describe the park and show great views. The colors of the lakes change, so you may get to see a different shade of green or murky blue.
It is indeed amazing. The lake on the right was light green, on the left turquoise and the lone one dark green. Didnt get there for sunrise bu around 11am, clouds were there for around 15min before the sun came, the colours were incredible. Anyway I cannot give five stars, as a foreigner you need to pay THIRTY times more than an Indonesian to get into the National Park. Robbery.
Dude.....you got to see it by yourself. It may not look like much in a picture. But once you get here, youll know what Im talking about. Parking lot is not so large, but usually enough for all visitor. Ticket is cheap on weekdays, a bit more expensive on weekends. Toilets exist near parking lot and near the first lake, clean water is available, no need to worry. Its usually rain, lightly. So prepare yourself. Be patient, if the lakes has fogs on them, just wait until wind comes and blow the fogs away.
What a beautiful creation of God! This is my another achievement to be here. It was great and wonderful feeling to see the beautiful lake. Its easy to come here, the hiking track is also not difficult at all. But, you need to bring your jacket, buy or rent a traditional cloth here to help you from cold.
One of the strangest volcano crater lakes with 3 different colour in same place. Sunrise is wonderful. Topaz lake is the most beautiful.
Cleanliness taken care very well. toilet also clean. Path to the top of the hill is very well maintained.
Ive been there for 2 times and still having a good sunrised view. You need going at 3 am if you dont want to miss the view from Ende. But instead of going at 3, you can stay one night before in Moni, which is the Kelimutu lake located. Ah dont worry, if you miss your coffee in the morning, you can find locals that selling coffee at the top as well. And the best taste kopi ende sambil menikmati sunrise is the best😋😘
Beauty of Indonesia, unforgettable place and really beautiful n its worthed...😀
Very awesome, beautifull place to see, just visit Kelimutu lake.
Crowded on peak seasons. Sunrise ia beautiful, grab a cup of coffee from the local and enjoy the view!
The view stunning! I went there to look for the sunrise. But people there said that sometimes we cant look all the three lakes clearly in the morning because of the fogs that covered up them. Luckily when i went there there was just a lake covered up by fog.The park is so beatiful! They plant colorful fern there and there are also some outdoor decorations that you could find like unique designed signs. Love it!
Beautiful! Even though it gets crowded at sunrise.
A very popular destination for tourist both local or international. This place offer breathtaking view, especially at sunrise. But sometimes there are thick fog lingering at morning, which prevent us to view the sunrise. At my last visit, I got caught in thick fog and wet from sudden downpour as early as 4 AM till 7 AM. But the passion of waiting the weather to get better really pays. All of the visitor really express their joy when the Suns ray manage to penetrate the fog and provide warm in the cold morning. This place is a must visit if you are traveling to Flores island, it worth the trip to get here.
The crater lakes are really nice. Its quite busy at sunrise, and a lot of the tourists can be really noisy, so I recommend going at a different time.
Amazing panorama, 3 volcano lakes with different colour.
The three lakes are amazing. Well worth yo go early and get the sunset. Quite expensive if youre a foreigner..150000 + 5 to park a motorbike.
Best spot to view sunrise in Flores island
Here you will see the moment of sunrise in the mountains, and if lucky to see three craters Kelimutu a changing color
