Taman Jaya Park - Park and Garden in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia
I hv been fishing here since I was study at primary school in mid 80s untill now. Not too much effort to changes this Tmn Jaya maybe caused off the Pandemic 19 are starting to spread all over Malaysia.
Park is well maintained. Good walking space. Can increase the parking lots. Otherwise everything is fine with this place
Nice park to walk around and be in nature
Nice place for morning and evening stroll. Great if they can refurbish the facilities and address the smell from the lake.
I often search for parks to skate. Saw bicycle track available here. Tried to skate there but I felt... Cheated maybe? The track was so short before it became badly broken tar road with many potholes. There was a super short stretch that was decently flat and no tile jutting out. The track around what seemed to be a man-made lake (which I strongly suspect is septic tank judging by the smellwas seemingly unmaintained. Parts of it were partially crumbled looking threateningly about to just give way if you walk on it. Even for jogging... This place is just. So darn poorly maintained
Nice place to jog, walking after work. Can do exercises. Nice place to spend evenings hereLocated near Taman Jaya lrt and Ampcorp mall.
A popular park often occupied by the nearby residents and students. Can see people line dancing, exercising, jogging, picnicking, and even fishing in this park. There’s a lake in the park.Parking is free during weekend thanks to the state government. One round of walking is around 2000 steps.
Nice and huge jogging place for those staying in PJ. But some area still under maintenance. If you need some aerobic dance also available during weekend.
Like this park, went on public holiday, the front playground at the entrance was crowded but further inside there is more playground with lesser people. Nice environment and shaded most of the walkway. There is lake too. Parking is free n easy to access. Trees was well maintained.
I like to go to this park since I small. Nice place for exercise, walking, jogging and running. Good environment and view to look around. Have big playground and store/small restaurant to buy food and drinks. Lots of seating and huts provided. Have a museum to visit and learn about history. Have mini library provided and space to donate books. Restroom also provided and clean.
One of the kids favourite playground with very clean toilets (and it is free!), kiosk selling drinks and light bites, a mini open library and plenty of running space.
Weekend gatherings for many. There are always groups of people exercising with trendy music. Good park for exercise
*Parking: Many parking lots*Toilet: Free; Located behind the food stall; Its new renovated toilets, so still very clean; Theres staff to clean up the toilets*Foods stall: Theres stall selling foods & beverage, with many tables & chairs*Gazebo: A very big & clean gazebo with long stone stool which can fit in many many ppls; Theres cabinet with many 2nd hand books that donated by public*Playground: Two, one big & one smaller; Majority of the area covered by trees, so less hot under sun*Gym area: Many gym equipments & still in good condition*Muzium Petaling Jaya: Free entrance; Just located beside the big gazebo
While theres a whole lot of remedial works being planned for the lakeside, theres still quite a bit to enjoy in this modest urban park. Nice shaded paths, skate arena, reading pavilion, play areas and exercise stations are all in good working order. Theres even a little museum about the history of Petaling Jaya. The restrooms are clean and theres plenty of pleasant picnic areas. All in all a good place to get in 10,000 steps while waiting for Ah Girl to finish her Softball game.
Its a bit small but still good if you want to relaxing for tiring works and all. They provide small children park to play and some other facilities. Theres a small lake as well, you can walk around the lake and it feels nice.
Large park, suitable for kids. Two playground areas, multiple exercise areas, cycle path, two toilets, small food court and a skate park. Facilities are not be best maintained, but better than most in Malaysia. Ample parking in two locations, and conveniently located near Taman Jaya LRT station (within walking distance). One stall at the food court serves local food, snacks and drinks are reasonable prices.
A good neighbourhood garden, just need some fixes on equipments.
Good place for exercise.Easy excess near to lrt taman jaya.can walk about 10 minutes from lrt.
A big and spacious park. Have 2 playground for children to play with. But the sidewalk besides the lake is really in poor condition and a lot of them is dangerous to be walk on especially for the children. Despite that, there are still many angler fishing there. Nevertheless, you can get good shots around the lake and building. It is a good place to jog, brisk walking and having leisure activities with your friends and families. There is also a museum tonshow the history of Petaling Jaya.
A very good place to spend your morning walk. Go early prevent crowds
A very beautiful park for all age. Its a great place to workout and playground too. A great place to have bday party or a relaxing evening. A great place to be all alone and spend time with your loved ones. A good spot for couples who wants to have a private conversation. The re is a museum too and small reading corner. A good inspiration place for blog writers or story writer. You dun have to fins specific time to relax at Tmn Jaya Park. I go for my workout at 1pm and I still have nice shades and nature wind to boost my workout. No regret visiting. I just luv this place
Large park. Suitable for long walks and great kids playground too. I love how they maintain the park. Looks so well even though it has been around since i was a kid!
The first time has been here. Sure will have more chances to be here—a GREAT GREAT place for jogging, cycling, Zumba, roller skating and outdoor gym. Many kids play at the playground—ample space for parking lots. Many families were picnic at here. Some fishing lovers also will fish at the lake there—a nice place to play football also. There also got Kios Ilmu. You may borrow three books each time. You may donate your books there also. Unfortunately, the book store is not well managed. Got Pusat Kitar Semula as well. You may send the recycled items here. Here got a small museum there. But too bad it was closed during Chinese New Year. May pay a visit next round.
One day we decided to take a break from KL based parks and try some closer to home. The disparity is quite apparent, uneven pathways, mosquitoes will attack us when we stopped to stretch. Some areas we condoned off with tape. We saw a dead cat on the grass, be it quite early some cleaning/park staff were smoking while waiting to clock in for work. Some areas were noisy due to the proximity to the highway and road.
A bit busy on a Sunday morning but a very green and lush green park with lots of trees in the middle of a city.
🚐🚚PARKING = Parking lot is big enough, you can park easiest🥰PLACE = A wonderful place to relax n enjoy with family or friends. Fun entertainment place for all. Kids, adult or elderly. Suits all.🏖️ SCENERY = wowww... very peaceful environments. Pleased to be there. good for picture taking and selfie. The landscape and background is good.📚If youre a book lover.. this place have book donation kiosk, Where You Can Donate Or Exchange Your Old BooksIf you like this review, please click like for me to know its helpful.👍
Excellent place for jog and kids activity. MBPJ should invest in repair and upgrade on kids playground. The support staff was quick with grievance. Jog in the morning, most people run facing the sun around the lake. Felt weird running alone the other direction. Good place
many years ago come here just to catch some pikachu. then some portrait shoots with a friend who own a retail store within amcorp mall, seri safya. and now just for a music video shooting. more photo on ig@fzeoedit: forgot 1 thing, too much of mosquitoes in here. they should put some UV or mosquitoes repellen.
My husband jogs here, while me we have a zumba session every sunday by different zumba trainers, sometimes a lot of people sometimes not so many people...do join us and have fun 😊The zumba session starts at 7.15am every Sunday , you have to pay a small fee of RM5.00/=.👍✌️
The park accommodate children friendly playground , equipped with bar fitness equipments and well maintained jogging track .Resting gazebos and picnic tables available surrounding the park perimeter.Clean park too .Public toilets are free and clean .
Nice clean park with ample jogging track & exercise space. Parking aplenty, family friendly, good to bring kids to play.
Being the first recreational lake gardens in the city of Petaling Jaya, Taman Jaya Park has crowd of visitors everyday who flock in to spend a few hours jogging or exercising or to simply catch up with friends or sit back and have a good time. The plants and lawn is well kept but unfortunately the large pond which is the central feature of the park, smells bad ; often you will see dead fish floating and rotting. It is however popular with anglers and I think the common type of fish that they manage to hook is the Ikan Sepat. The park has recently upgraded; new plants especially a bamboo grove has been planted. The walking path has been widened and repaired especially some sections beside the pond which had collapsed. There is also a nice winding cycling paved path for those who want to practise their cycling. A large concrete stage has been built jutting into the pond - this is popular especially early in the morning for those who practice Chi Gong and Yoga. The childrens playground is well maintained and all the equipment is new and safe. A nice place for families to visit even with very young children. The Park is ideal for Jog, Run, Zumba, Yoga, Workout, Picnic, Chill, Kids playground. It can be best place for health conscious people. Good for family picnic. Very enjoyable and easy to get access to from the LRT station. There are 2 entry points by car and both have limited car parks.Facility for playing skateboard or rollerblade also provided here. Apart of that, people can spend time by visiting PJ Museum that located in this area. The playgrounds are well maintained. The area around the lake is suitable for family and individual seeking a fine area to exercise.Below are my rating points:1Nearby Park: 7/10 (Amcorp Mall, A&W Fast Food, Dataran PJ & LRT Taman Jaya)2Park Security: 5/10 (No security guards around. Not recommended to go during night time)3Parking: 4/10 (Not much public parking space)4Convenience: 8/10 (Nearby LRT & Amcorp Mall which has Supermarket, Convenience Stores & Restaurants)5Cleanliness: 7/10 (Clean & Well Maintained Environment)6Crowd: 8/10 (Not crowded except on weekends due to Flea Market at Amcorp Mall)Taman Jaya Park is a great neighborhood park that has been around for ages. Very beautiful scenery, its a big park that one can enjoy jogging and spending time with the family, for no charge at all. Clean and well-kept. Take a walk/jog around the lake, or on Sunday mornings, join in the community aerobics session conducted by instructors that held at the park area from time to time. The park also provides delightful views of the surrounding greenery and the Taman Jaya Lake, where fishing is possible with permit. The night scenery is pretty nice especially by the lakeside. Just that without security guards around, I dont recommend visiting this place at night alone.
A very good place to jog, run, workout, exercise, zumba, chillax, picnic, play. The park is huge full of trees. There is also playground for kids. But, be ready to protect yourselves from mosquitos!!
Place is good, tq fr renovations, would be better if u would do something abt the lake, very dirty, dead fish spotted, foul smell. Ppl even do fishing inspite of dirty water :( Am so turned out coz all other elements are great, birds spotting activity, jog & exercise are the lime light. Best enjoyed in morning b4 10am.
Park with beautiful scenery of the lake. Lots of playground for adult and children. There is a museum of pj at the centre of it.Vending machine can be seen here. If not, you can buy drinks etc at the another shop nearby
Nice place for jogging and family picnics. There are two access for parking. Some came for fishing.
The nearest park to my apartment. I always spend my morning exercise here after sending my kids to school. Walking, jogging, running, and on weekends they have zumba! They have a museum and they just finished constructing the taman ilmu. Parking is free on the gasing side since its the main entrance of the park. On the Jalan Timur side its free during public holidays and weekend but during office hours you have to pay for the parking.
Nice, calm and soothing place for walks, jogs and exercises.. even to relax with kids.. but beware of the mosquitoes.. apply repellent before going
Running at this park is definitely better than running on a treadmill because here the air is fresh and it’s very healthy for your mind because the scenery of the lake and the trees is very calming. Only drawback I noticed is . The playground is clean and the PJ Museum is informative. But I noticed two things: after 6PM you dont have access to toilets and not a place that is convenient to go to and also the lake is lined with an unattractive muddy shade of brown or green. when it is raining the lake is smelly. Moreover its place for jogging and just letting the kids run around.
Best place for fitness buffs, joggers and health conscious people. It is quote hig which has children playarea, jogging trail and open gym.The best thing is it has lake at the centre which adds the beauty in it.p
This park huge, and to be honest, unless I really need to be there, its not a place that is convenient to go to. The lake is lined with sludge, the parking is not free - pay by hour.On the plus side, the playground is clean, and the PJ Museum is interesting and informative. There is a skate park. Its nice, but not enough to say that I love it... or to make me want to visit it again voluntarily.
Jogging here gives you around 1KM/2,000 steps for one round of the park. Beautiful sunset views and easy parking. Only downside is that there is a foul smell at certain parts of the lake and you can see dead fishes in it if you look close enough
Nice place for family and kids. Big playground, open gyms, skating park, nice lake view.. What else? Enjoy!
Awesome place specially in the evening/night.Lots if lights and many people, so it doesnt feel scary at all.Plenty and good verity of places to sit.Got playground for kids.Plenty of parking space (need to pay parking fee during the daytime)Note, after 8:00 or 9:00pm (if I am not mistaken about the timethe entrance for cars is free.
Good place to spend some time with family and friends especially nature lovers
Nice park with many tools for exercise and kids will have fun except a part of the lake is filthy..its time for #MBPJ to do something about it
Nice, have 2 playground for kid, jogging trek, cycling trek a lot of bench to sit, it have washroom and 2 parking area
A good place for sport and family activities in PJ. A green environment with good cleanliness. The playgrounds are well maintained. People can walk or jog along the lake. Facility for playing skateboard or rollerblade also provided here. Apart of that, people can spend time by visiting PJ Museum that located in this area.
Good place for kids to enjoy. There is small open gym for Adults also. You can enjoy the Sunset from the small lake Present next to park.
One of the green lung in pj for residents. Is much cleaner than before. A good place to exercise and learn fishing.
