Tally's Good Food Café (South) in Tulsa

First time visitor. Staff was excellant, food was tremendous. Had breakfast. Took giant cinimon roll with me. Its definitely a 15+ item that would feed 6 people for $5.50. Will come back.

It was my first time here and my last one too. my food was cold, the rice was with out flavor, they poured a lot of dressing in my salad, the place was dirty, the waitress was nice.

Stopped by the famous Tally’s for brunch on Sunday 10/16– it was our first visit there. My first impression was to turn around and speed away as fast as possible as the parking lot was riddled with potholes and in DIRE need of repairs. I decided to give the place the benefit of the doubt. The food was great and well prepared… unfortunately the service sucked and the atmosphere wasn’t very clean. The table was sticky from the previous guests and the windows were smudged with fingerprints and dust. The salt, pepper and sugar containers were desperately in need of a refill they were almost empty. The server was very friendly, but she took our orders and delivered our food but that was it—she never checked on us again. I flagged down a different server for refills and we grabbed a nearby towel from the bar to clean our own table. When we were finished, I literally had to seek-out our server just to get our check. (Luckily we’re not the dine & dash type. Would’ve been a great opportunity to skip-out on a $55 checkFor all those reasons, we will not be returning to Tally’s. Unfortunately our very first visit was also our very last. There are plenty other places that will treat us better and for less.

Food is good but we was rushed out and the restrooms was dirty. The waitress barely tended to us and rushed us out because they was closing.

We were in for breakfast. It was busy to start but thinned out during our stay. The selection was great and the food was equally good. Service was prompt and attentive.

Slow service. The coffee was bad and the bacon is the saltiest Ive had in my life. I probably will never go there again

If youre looking for Great place for Breakfast TALLYS on Sheridan is the place to go! We will DEFINITELY be back the next time were in Tulsa!

One of the best breakfast I have ever had. Would drive another 3 hours just to come here. Love the 50s diner look.

My husband and I often come here for breakfast, the staff is always on point and so friendly. Were never waiting too long for our meals, on top of that theyre mimosas or to die for!

Service was great but food. Definitely was excepting a lot better. Hearing it’s voted chicken fried steak. I got it and. Yah no definitely not the move. Very very plain tasting.

Love this place! We came to Tulsa for the weekend and stopped in for breakfast Saturday morning. We enjoyed everything about the place, food, staff, atmosphere so much so that we stopped in for lunch on our way back home Sunday.

Everyone who ordered breakfast for lunch was quite pleased. Pancakes were fluffy, eggs not overdone and bacon crispy. My grilled chicken salad was a little disappointing. While greens were fresh, boiled egg was good, the chicken breast was ice cold, underseasoned and and overcooked. Great waitresses. I will try another time.

Oh my I walked in this restaurant and felt welcome and quite and peaceful the food Is so good I mean the breakfast was fresh with blueberry pancakes and the server was so nice and sweet your money is satisfied here. I give this 20 stars instead of 5

It took 5 minutes for anyone to approach us to seat us, even though there were waitresses standing around doing nothing. Once taken to our booth we see that both both seat vinyls were INCREDIBLY cracked. We ordered a carafe of mimosas and were brought 2 filthy glasses with it. And then the waitress tried talking me out of a side of fruit? I wanted fruit. And then when .y pancakes came the bowl of syrup was sticky all over the outside. The pancakes were subpar. I usually dont do negative reviews but this visit was WILD.

I wont be going back. Ive tried Tallys a few times hoping it would get better... I sent my omelet back today and it wasnt taken off our tab. It was supposed to be a Mediterranean omelet but the egg was brown mustard in color, cooked on a dirty grill no doubt, it was greasy and rubbery. I asked for more coffee and half and half and waited 10 minutes before someone other than my waitress, who by the way didnt even greet us, came to fill my cup (no half n half in hand). The seats are torn (dont wear shorts ladies, itll scratch your legs up.The coffee was good, my toast was hot, and the girl in the green shirt serving milk shakes and coffee was pleasant! Thats all I can say nice about this place. No one else smiled or said good morning, poor staff seems miserable. What is management doing here?My one star is for the girl in the green shirt.

I order 2 grilled pork chop breaksfast meals and the pork chops had a seafood/bad smell to them. I called the south location where I purchased the meals and was told that the owner was gone and to try the other location. Unable to get a replacement or my money back! Very disappointed and will not waste my money at neither tallys anymore!

Had a bad experience my 1st time at tallys and the entrance front door was broken and trash every. I ASKED FOR A BOOTH AND DID NOT GET ONE. I WAS SEATED WERE ALL THE FOOT TRAFFIC WAS GOING IN AND OUT NEXT TO MY TABLE, ITS 8:15 Am on Saturday Morning it was so noisy with drunk people 7 behind us taking shots and 3 beside us drinking liquor everyone was drunk and so loud very uncomfortable. I would never recommend this place to anybody, I just wanted to eat and get the heck out.

Breakfast was awesome! I got the 3x3x3 with eggs scrambled with cheese, bacon, and French toast. I highly recommend this place for some decent food that isn’t too pricey! Great ambience and atmosphere. I love the look of old fashioned diners. Ever consider expanding to Owasso to show those other would-be diners who’s boss?

Had breakfast at the World Famous Tallys Good Food Café this morning. 1000/10 highly recommend. Portions are huge, but so are the booths, so everyone can enjoy the grub. It’s a Route 66 must-have while traveling through Tulsa.For me: Tally’s World-Famous Chicken Fried Steak and eggs, gravy, extra crispy hash browns (just the way I like them), and English muffin.For Harry: the “Everything Omelet” with home style potatoes and toast.The menu is your (not-soaverage diner fare with so many options to choose from. Didn’t have the room for one if their legendary cinnamon rolls, but if you do, GET ONE!My only suggestion is that they season the CFS a little better, but that wasnt a dealbreaker. Our server, Nicole, was awesome!

We eat out for breakfast once a week & have tried various different places, we have one other favorite but each time we come to Tallys it supersedes everyplace else. Not only is the restaurant immaculately clean, and the staff are friendly and efficient, but the food is absolutely excellent! Very high-quality ingredients and taste, they are so generous with portion sizes, toppings and serve their syrup warm! Who wants cold syrup? Nobody! I wish all restaurants had the high standards for quality that Tallys has set and maintained for years. I also love that its not as loud as a couple other places.

I honestly cant remember the last time I got on here to give a negative review, but I just had a really, really bad breakfast. "Eggs benedict". Im not even generally that picky about poached eggs or breakfast in general, but these were almost just straight up hard-boiled. Hard- or soft-boiled would have been better, actually, because these were shrunk down to barely about the diameter of a half dollar and the yolk was completely cooked. At least a soft-boiled egg is the size of an egg. The home fries that came with it were ok, I guess, after I put some hot sauce on them. My girlfriend got the breakfast croissant sandwich - sounds fresh and delicious, right? Nope. The croissant was flat and bland and the bottom half of it was so greasy and squished that it didnt even resemble a sandwich - just a greasy pile of bacon, canned mushrooms, and egg with a flaky piece of bread on top. I cant believe I actually paid 12 bucks apiece for these plates. After I got home I was just belching up grease nonstop until I thought I was about to throw up.All that having been said, the waitresses and the staff in general were great and warm and pleasant. Theyre the second star. I just wish their kitchen gave me any reason to come back and see them again.

Amazing decor! Just a blast from the past! Absolutely fine and delicious diner to check out. Friendly staff and great choices to choose from. Definitely a spot to hit regularly or if visiting!

Not sure what the fuss is about. We visited for breakfast last week. We were seated quickly. There were 4 teens getting drinks after we sat down. It took a waitstaff about 10 minutes to even take our order. Meanwhile I watched while the teens sat at the bar top and played on there phones. Seemed like a waist if money to me. They could have been doing any number of things working, busing tables, anything. The food wasnt so good. Seemed dry and bacon cold. The coffee was really good.

We had party of 20 at 10:30 am which is a very busy time of day for Tally’s. They sat us upstairs so we had some privacy and space which was much appreciated. Every single employee that we interacted with exceeded expectations.

The food was hardly edible, the service was okay. They have a lot of business and I’m trying to figure out why people love this place. I literally ordered a waffle -it was over done and had no flavor at all. It was also cold when it was brought to the table and the coffee. Nope. Just not good food, good quality or anything. Definitely will not be returning. You all can have it!

The breakfast food is always good. Lunch and dinner can be hit or miss, but the breakfast is really what you want. The staff is kind every time my significant other and I go. If it wasnt for the hit or miss dinner menu I would give five stars.

Always great food and friendly. Ordered the smart bomb eggs over med then added chili cheese and onions on top. Comfort food oh yea!

Should’ve taken a photo! Hubby and I ducked in here for a quick breakfast, shelter from storm. I got country fried steak and eggs- meh. He ordered chorizo burrito. What he got was a cheese and tomato burrito (with at most one scrambled eggand a side of sour cream and salsa!!!!We sent it back, got an excuse (!!!and an apology (of course it was compedbut this was serious oversight and leads us to this poor review. Can’t recommend despite cuteness of decor and sweetness of wait staff.

I liked it. I had the Eggs Benedict my wife had the 2+2+2. She said her breakfast was very good. Two thumbs up. Worth the money. Waitress did a good job. My son took his Mom and me out for breakfast this morning. It was excellent. Highly recommend going for breakfast. The coffee is very good and strong. The waitress and manager are on the ball.

This place was amazing! I was very impressed with all of their food, selection, staff and overall atmosphere. They also have very large portion sizes, I ended up taking home a full togo box and that was only half of my meal! Their enormous Cinnamon rolls were amazing as well. I would recommend and return.

Planned a surprise birthday party for my boyfriend in the room upstairs & if was perfect. Nichole was our server and was excellent. Everything was delicious and service was fast & friendly considering how busy they were. Its one of my favorite locally owned businesses because the owner is very supportive of and employees lots of people struggling with addiction or newly released from being incarcerated. Many fellowship members have shared how his help has facilitated a new start for them & changed their lives. Great owner great service & excellent food. Its a win win all the way.

One of the best breakfasts ever. The support staff was the best part. If you get the chance to have your coffee refilled by Victor, you all understand. One of the most genuine smiles in town.

Came here on the reference of a friend who lives around the corner. The 50s diner decor is apparent immediately and with warm welcome. If youre into kitschy 50s drive in theming, this place has it to heart and does it well. We went on a quiet Saturday afternoon just before close, and a very nice gentleman brought us to our booth, and immediately changed a menu when he noticed it wasnt cleaned. I didnt quite hear what he had said and thought he meant he was going to clean the booth, which did have food strewn a bit on the floor, but he didnt reference it at all. We knew it was near closing time (we arrived at 2:25 and they close at 3so we tried to eat and be on our way quickly. I ordered their "famous chicken fried steak sandwich" which was $10.95 at time of posting with a side salad, and the kid ordered the 3 mini pancake meal with bacon and a root beer float, and the boyfriend got the Mediterranean burger with fries and a lemonade. A few things to note: service was prompt and friendly; if they were trying to rush us out the door, I couldnt tell. The portions are far larger than my Californian appetite was anticipating (the kids pancakes were enormous, she ended up only eating one and packing the rest), as we all balked when our plates arrived (my salad arrived first, which was a little weird to me as I thought it was a side instead of an appetizer, but ate it when my burger arrived nonetheless), but for the price, its a great deal. My sandwich was alright, but the chicken fried steak almost immediately fell apart. I cut my sandwich in half so I could start at the heart of it, which was juicy, slightly challenging to bite away, balanced in flavor, but a bit single dimensioned in flavor despite the white gravy (which mainly tasted like a creamy pepper sauce. Good, but the burger needed some acidity to cut through the fried meat could have benefited from either BBQ sauce or even something as simple as A1 or ketchup, IMHO), and I felt like the best part of it was the butter grilled buns. Boyfriends Mediterranean burger was good, ladened with olives, and cooked well, but he admitted hes had better burgers, but loved the olive flavor enveloping it all. The kids pancakes were fluffy, well prepped and hot, and perfect for her to rip apart and dip in a nice warm syrup along with two strips of crunchy, perfectly cooked bacon. We also ordered fried mushrooms to go as we knew we wanted them but didnt think we would be able to finish the (we were very rightand the order is at least a pound of white mushrooms halved or quartered, chicken fried and served with ranch. Delicious, but very filling and hefty. The root beer float was acceptable by the young one, but I noticed the vanilla ice cream in the drink was quite icy. Im not sure if thats a bug or a feature (perhaps its beneficial in their floats?), but I prefer smooth and creamy ice cream in my floats. Our check including the $10 tip came out to $55, which, for the amount of food, we agreed was a deal, but likely average for the area. The parking is spacious and plentiful, the service and decor welcoming and polite, and the food was palatable. It was worth coming by once since Im not from here, but Im not in a rush to return. Im not sure how to suggest this place beyond ambiance, since I felt like the food was just decent, but I think its worth coming here to try the food for yourself. The price, service and food portions are what earned this place this place 3 stars, but I would only recommend trying this place if a friend suggested it and you trusted their taste, as its all American greasy spoon diner food, which can be a hit or miss for some folks.

Go back in time! Such a cute little dinner. Loved the nostalgia of it all. Great bloody Marys and poached eggs. I will definitely be back.

My first time visiting today and was very happy. My wife told me I had to try the pancakes. I did and I swear they are the best I have ever had. Keep up the great work.

One of my favorite spots for breakfast whenever I go to Tulsa! They have amazing omelettes and cinnamon rolls! It’s also such a unique setting, really awesome decor. They staff is also very friendly!

We went to lunch there today. They were super busy(we expected it to be). The food was great. The poor waitress one has one other person we seen to help her. But she was still sweet,friendly and very attentive. She did offer us a free cinnamon role because we did have to wait a while for our food. Over all great lunch. She was an amazing waitress and good food. We will be going back. And look at the free cinnamon role. 🤯😍

Great food, we ate at two of the locations this weekend. 1 and only negative was my family was charged a 20 % gratuity? But I cought it so thats all he got!? Great service, but I think they should tell you BY THE WAY MY TIP IS INCLUDED..

I am visiting from Austin and stopped here for a Saturday lunch with my mom and grandmother. We definitely walked in at the end of a lunch rush, as I could see managers rolling silverware to seat everyone. Despite the chaos, our host (who I believe was named Kieraseated us quickly and then got our drinks. She also stopped by to let us know that our server would be with us shortly. We ordered a cinnamon roll because I saw it mentioned in the reviews and we were shocked at the size and how good it was. It is definitely enough to feed five people and also the best cinnamon roll weve ever had. Everyones food was amazing but the real reason Im leaving this review is the staff. I cannot express enough how friendly and helpful our sever Destiny and host Kiera were! Tallys is definitely the new spot I want to eat at whenever Im in town, especially if you continue to hire such great staff!

I ordered the fried mushrooms, elvis burger (I thinkwith avocado, smoked salmon, a hot wrap and a cold wrap. The food was awesome. I only had one compliant. The shell on the cold wrap was stale and hard. When I mentioned it to the waitress she told me that cold wraps make the shell harder. Like I dont know the difference between old stale flour tortillas shells. That waitress was also awful about refilling drinks.

Yummy food with very generous portions and decent prices. Staff was great. I visited the Tallys further north as a kid but this one surpassed my expectations for sure. We will return!

This place is amazing! I was SO confused about the menu at first until I realized that everything listed under an item comes with it! Can I tell you, I was full on 13 of why I was given. Its a lot of food for a great price! I ate a meal & had 2 meals in my take-home container. You will not be disappointed. You have to try this place! SO glad they have a location near me now.

Great retro diner with Marilyn Monroe and Elvis everywhere. The menu is varied, the food was good and the portions are pretty large....so you better be hungry. The chicken fried steak sandwich is insanely huge and very tender. The service was a little lackluster though. But anyplace that serves adult milkshakes gets a pass and I will assume it was a fluke our server was slow and obviously not happy to be working there. I would definitely recommend going there and it is a great place for the family with tons of choices.

Pretty good food with a really awesome atmosphere. Love the 50s theme they have going on complete with music! Reasonably priced dishes for the portions they give you. Had the catfish on my first visit. Quite yummy. Finished it off with a strawberry shake.

I had one of the best chicken fried steak I have had in my life at this location. Ive eaten Tallys many times over the years at the 11th & Yale location and this was just as good. I usually get breakfast but I ordered this tonight and it was delicious. The staff is very friyand you never have to ask for anything. The owner was there and he came over to great our table and was also very friendly. I would highly recommend this to anyone and will continue to eat there.

The food was great and the service was awesome. We did have trouble finding parking as the place was packed. The only real problem I had was we got sat next to a window, but there were no shades or curtains or anything and the sun was coming in making it about 20 degrees warmer in that spot and was blinding. It was just uncomfortable. I wish that there was some type of curtain or shade at the top you could adjust. I got the chicken wrap and it was huge I couldn’t finish it all. It was really good. My daughter had the Mac and cheese and loved it. And my husband got the fish and chips sandwich and he liked it. All of the portions were very large. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend this place for lunch (we haven’t tried their breakfast but the selection looked great. They also have a pretty good list of cocktails and beers.
