Whether pizza, pasta, meat or seafood the food is good. The staff are helpful and friendly. A good place to eat after a days work or if you want to enjoy eating out with family or friends. The atmosphere at the waterfront is always great and the views provide a relaxing background.

I liked it and it was a fun place to go with my friends

Food is good. Waiting time on Sunday is long. Good with kids as there is a bouncing castle near it.

Food and service were great, and well priced, but I would suggest not to take ravioli ... although very good the portion was too small.

Usually its really good. Yesterday it was terrible though. The staff present at yesterdays tal kaptan valletta waterfront gave a really bad service. We were seated but no menus were given and staff was nowhere to be seen. Also reserved a table for 4 and a highchair. We had to ask twice for a highchair and twice to be given menus.The table was big enough to serve 2 maximum 3 people and not 5. In fact the space was so limited a drink fell onto ones food and it was ruined. 2 out of 5 plates arrived not as ordered. Had to wait 30minutes for one of them. When we complained to one of the staff she told us "There is nothing I can do". Definitely bad customer service and will not return as a regular customer unless the service is better.

A tourist cash grab. The waiter billed us 2 0.33 beers for a one pint just to increase the price. Also gave a 0.25 beer for an asked half lieter one. Its too expensive for the food you get. But the food is good. Not good service.

An amazing collection and history, wonderful

We were a group, and upon booking, we were given a set menu. We wished to have a wider selection but they only accommodated us after much hassle. I did not like neither the focaccia nor the pizza which were served. Service was terrible. I had to order a small bottle of sparkling water 3 times, since it never arrived. Our wine order was changed 2 times. Waitress kept coming back stating that only 1 of this and only 1 of that was available. Well I guess that if they cant cater for a group, why accept group bookings in the first place!

Excellent food (we had a chicken ceaser burger and a meat feast pizza). Good prices. Staff were very polite and service was quick. Clean restaurant and nice air conditioning on the inside. A place we would go again.

We visited Tal-Kaptan for a reunion, total 11 people. Some food was excellent but some of us grumbled mainly pasta was a bit too much Al dente and vitella was only batter. We informed the staff and didnt pay for vitella. Food quality should be more consistent.

Really good food and good staff and amazing prices.

I ordered veal. I got batter with 0.5 mm veal. So much so when complained head waiter or someone got us another slightly better slice. Will never go there again

I have been here many times but today I was very disappointed, the service was very slow and my main course was stone cold as was my friends who also had chosen the same main course

A good menu with lots of options and reasonably priced. The food was really tasty too, and service was quick with the staff nice as well. The waterfront view is unfortunately obscured mostly by the pier, but a nice location too.

If you want a mid day lunch at a sensible price go to tal-Kaptanwe have been going for the last 4 yrs and you also collect tokensand they stamp a card once you collect 3 or more if I rememberyou get a starter free and so on.we are going back in a few daysand if you are lucky enough there maybe a large cruise liner tothe side of you.Keep up the good work
