Hummus, kebabs, falafel & more are served at this casual Israeli cafe with many vegetarian options.
Authentic as it gets! Amazing food and service, you feel transported into the old world of food paradise!
Incredibly delicious and authentic. Their hummus is the real deal.
Fantastic! Everything was amazing!
Never disappointed. Friendly service and good food.
First time here and love it. I got the grilled beef kebabs platter and was stuffed after one pita. Service was fast and courteous. The restaurant was extremely clean and neatly arranged seating. So many menu selections. Ill be back for more.Update: We did come back... Still delicious 😋
Wow!! The Vegan chicken Shwarma is incredible!!... You will not be disappointed!!
Great place! Amazing food highly recommend.
Tal’s Hummus is our go to for Israeli cuisine! They have amazing vegan and gluten-free options. My favorite is the falafel platter! The humble, yet comfortable environment is inviting. Have never had a bad meal here!! Their food will keep you coming back again and again :)
Ordered the regular hummus and the tomato salad and both were absolutely delicious. Ill be back!
I love this place! The staff is always very friendly, good quality and price, and I can say it’s authentic as I grew up on Arabic and Israeli food. Delish!
Good is incredible and service is awesome but the price is outrageously high for the portions you get. Lentil soup and Chicken shawarma salad was $30 before tip and I went home to add spinach. Will certainly go back but can’t make this my regular go-to spot.
Kind of expensive. They give you tiny little water cups which is a little inconsiderate considering its always 100+ degrees outside. We wanted a side of tatziki for our schwarma plate ( not sure why it didnt come with it?And we were told they only offer the $9 cup because it is made to order. If its made to order why cant I order a smaller portion? Wont be back
Absolutely amazing. I have never had a bad meal here. I HIGHLY recommend the vegan chicken shawarma platter with the crispy cauliflower and a frozen mint lemonade drink. Great value. Love this place. Will always enjoy being in this facility.
Great food! Stumbled in during a rainstorm and had the best chicken shawarma and Israeli salad. Lovely all around.
Great food overall! Great vegan and vegetarian options. Convenient location. Smelly bathroom doe #stinky
Awesome food and good service. We had the Falafel and Shawarma Pita and even got additional fries and another Pita for free as they werde closing and didnt want to throw away the food! Try it out!
The food was so fresh and delicious! Service was a little slow but definitely worth the wait, and the staff were very friendly.
Great vegetarian and vegan options. The cauliflower pita was delicious and extremely filling. French fries are also delicious. Parking is on the street. Good service on the phone for a to go order and cashier was nice at pick up. Indoor seating also looks good.
I LOVE Tal’s. The food is spectacular and the portion sizes are huge. The mushroom hummus is my favorite. A lot of vegan options as well. Highly recommend
Israeli visiting in Nola. As close to Israel as it gets the Hummus and shawarma and my son and wife Jerusalem mix.We ordered the pickled cabbage delicious like my Das makes it. The humus was good shawaema was hot. My son ordered mint lemonade frozen he said it was good.
Id give it 0 Star but its not possible. The meat tasted awful. The lentil soup was basically boiled water, without SALT. We had to trash it because even my dog hated the smell of the meat. NEVER going back.
Everything here is delicious every time. Love the chicken sandwich. Even the pita and hummus alone is outstanding. I’m a regular.
$6 Lemon mint tea was literally unsweet tea with a lemon on the side of a plastic cup and a sprig of mint stuck in the middle. No marination. Not flavor. Nothing.Lentil soup was undesirable and extra oily. I mentioned this to the guy at the counter (who was sitting in the booth on the computerand it was like I was talking to the wind. No accommodations. Nothing. Will not return for lack of quality food and service.
There arent many vegetarian options in Nola so I am glad we found this gem. Everything was delicious and the vegetarian chicken nuggets were delightful. Window service and pick up.
The sabich was excellent. As good as the one in Tel Aviv! Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The hummus is particularly good and fresh. Also, the pita bread is baked fresh. The photo shows the shakshuka pita.
The food is excellent! Always clean, well presented, with good flavor profiles. I can always depend on Tals for a good meal.My only complaint is that the cashier I had seemed immensely unhappy and miserable, he seemed frustrated when I couldnt hear him. I didnt feel very welcome, but thats ok, the food is excellent.
Customer service wasnt the best. Pita was the only good part of the meal. Pita chicken sandwich was flavorless. Hummus was below average. Just not very impressed by this place which I heard so much about.
Very impressed with the falafel sandwich! Went back the next day too! Restaurant has a great vibe. Loved seeing all the ladies making the food while talking and laughing in the kitchen :)
This was an amazing find with great vegetarian options. We tried the lentil soup, fried cauliflower, tatziki, hummus, red pepper special, falafel sandwich and fried cauliflower sandwich. Parking was at the street. Service was quick. Its a BYOB and theres a store next door. You order at the counter and they provided good suggestions. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Would definitely recommend this place and would visit again!
Delicious food and really fresh ingredients. I got the vegetable hummus (huge pieces of fresh grilled veggies atop creamy warm hummus 🤤and the vegan chicken shawarma platter which was 10/10. The pita was also warm and soft and delicious. The price is a bit steep but the portions were enough to take home for a second meal. Oh, It’s also BYOB!
Quality. It may feel a bit expensive for the type when ordering but the quality is easily worth it. I recommend eating there as well as the place is fairly quaint. Eat here all the time and plan to continue. Chicken schnitzel is my favorite dish
If I lived closer, I would eat here at least once a week. Its a tiny place filled with authentic Israeli food and love. This is the only place Ive found that has food to rival Tel Aviv. We had the crispy cauliflower, cauliflower pita, avocado pita, vegan chicken pita, and samich. All were fresh, delicious, and super flavorful. You wont find this combination of flavor and texture anywhere else in New Orleans. And the prices are super reasonable, too.
A fabulous new addition to our great Magazine St eateries. Im working my way through their menu and Im loving everything, so far. Their homemade pita bread...bomb. Combo hummus plate with hard boiled eggs, Awesome. Everything is super fresh and sooo good!
I really enjoyed my vegan chicken shawarma at tals hummus!Totally recommend to all my vegan/ vegetarian fellows out there! The guy who took my order wasn’t kind, we were here for the first time and he didn’t even recommend their specialty or anything good to try out.But other than that this place is so cute!👏🏽The food was perfectly made and with a nice presentation!
The ambience inside the restaurant feels like you are in Israel and outside you will feel you are in France. Free starters at the counter. Love Israeli food.
Quality food for a really good price. Service was really nice, and super helpful. Awesome selection for people vegan and vegetarian, but also a decent range of dishes with meat in them also. Would recommend this to anyone that loves good food.Try the watermelon strawberry frozen drink too 👌Top notch!
I love the food here and delicious vegetable preparations. I also appreciate that my friend and I could sit and talk for hours without feeling rushed out. It is a well lit, comfortable and welcoming place and the music is great too. I dont get over this neighborhood much but when I do I want to stop here.
I got the Areya dish. It was nice except for the bread being slightly too toasted. The food was pretty good and so was the avocado smoothie. The minus in stars was for the many gnats and flies. I was constantly waving them away.
Incredible hummus. Great atmosphere. Tal even gave me a slice of cake to congratulate me on my upcoming wedding! Highly support this place.
Excellent serviceDelicious food and great vegan options!Thank you so much for everything :)
It was pretty good. The food is very fresh tasting and you can tell they use fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is nice and calm. The playlist was also amazing! Very friendly customer service.
First time here and the food was fresh and delicious. Excellent Israeli salad, hummus, etc. Try the complimentary flatbread with serrano "shirazi salad" (made that up but it is like a shirazi salad only spicy). Worth the stop.
Might seem a bit pricey at first but the platter portions are huge and come with loads of pita bread, AND you can help yourself to free olives, pita, tahini and some spicy sauces which you can have as a starter. So actually overall I thought this place was great value for money. I got the vegan chicken platter and it was great and super filling, although it tasted a bit too much like the real thing for my taste. Next time Ill have the falafel platter! Atmosphere is nice, the place is bright and they play nice relaxing music.
We went in to wait for the heavy rain to pass. It was a pleasant surprise that we stumbled upon freshly made hummus and they are amazing. The staffs are nice and the service time was reasonable. Their water tower with infused whole carrot and chickpeas was still quite puzzling to me but overall good vibes!
Great place! The bread is the best in town, but its takes a bit longer than usual when the place barely has anyone in it
Fabulous place. Great food, great service, lovely spot all together. Price is very good, and the food is made with amazing skill and a high passion for good produce.
Loved the food here, everything tastes very fresh and it isnt too expensive. The Moroccan carrots were the best carrots Ive ever tasted in my life! The only downside is that it was a bit untidy.
Awesome place — can’t go wrong. Some of the best food in NoLa, no joke. It’s not cheap though.
The sauces were wonderful and the quaint atmosphere was perfectly peaceful. The dishes were exciting with a different twist and seemed to be made with love and pride. The breads were a revelation, especially the pita bread, and the beverages were amazing. It makes you feel like you are on a food adventure. The casual service of ordering at the counter was a little confusing at first, but it really lends itself to a lovely informal atmosphere. I will definitely return soon.
Amazing foods! Nice place to have a fresh and fast meal. We should definitely go back!
