Takashima Castle in Matsumoto

Rebuild castle, but nice view and garden

People-less when we passed by. Must be more enticing in the peak of spring. 🤔

諏訪湖にほど近い場所にある高島公園。そのシンボルともいえる高島城跡。入場料は大人310円で子供は150円と安価。三層三階の復興天守で中は博物館（資料館）になっています。コンクリートで固められた構造は現存天守を見た後だと物足りないかも。それでも最上階の展望フロアからは天気が良ければ富士山が見えるそうです。訪れた日はあいにく雲にはばかれ山頂部分が薄っすらと見えただけでした。それでも富士山が見られたことで気分は最高潮に達しました。全貌が見られたら一体どうなってしまうのか？今度は天気予報と睨めっこしてから訪れたいと思います。

長野県諏訪市役所の西側、諏訪湖の近くにある城郭、天守は鉄筋コンクリートの再建です。駐車場は有りますが、台数が少なく停めるスペースは有りませんでした、東側にある市役所の駐車場も使用可と言う事でこちらに停めました。城跡は高島公園として日本庭園を楽しめます、天守は入場料310円です。前述の通り鉄筋コンクリートなので、内部で見所は展示資料だけです。休日にのんびり過ごすには最適の場所だと思います。

立派なお城でした。サイズとしてはこじんまりしていますが綺麗で、天守閣から街が見渡せます。諏訪大社より先にこちらに行ったので少し事前学習になりました。310円、価値はあると思います。じっくり資料や説明を読む方以外は30分ほどで回り終わるかと思います。藤の季節でしたのでちょうど綺麗な藤棚も見ることができました。少し座って自然を眺める公園としても良いかもしれないですね。

２０２２年春に訪問。駐車場は近辺の市役所に隣接しています。→高島城跡訪問者用の無料駐車場です敷地は広くはありませんので、３０分もあれば充分に見て回れます。訪問時には、サクラは葉桜になっていましたが、藤の花が咲いていました。資料館の開館時間は９時からになります。ＪＡＦ会員ですと入館料が３００円→２００円になります。施設内は三階建てとなっており、一二階は資料館として、三階は展望台となっています。サクラの季節だと、きっと見応えのある景観だと思いました🌸

「天気が良ければ富士山も望めます！」近隣のお城と言えば、国宝松本城があります。あちらはオリジナルの天守が現存しているものですが、高島城は残念ながら復元されたものです。しかしながら、その外観はまさに諏訪湖に浮かぶ城。お堀とのコントラストも小柄ながらも風格を感じさせます。庭園も藤棚や池など見どころが多く、なんとも居心地の良い雰囲気です。近所にあれば、散歩に出かけるにも良い場所だと思います。天守の内部は、歴史的に貴重な資料などが展示されており、高島城が築城された経緯や、明治維新の際に取り壊された後に、市民の声で復興されるまでが分かりやすく解説されています。仮に原型が今まで保存されていれば、松本城と同年代のお城であり、こちらも国宝級だったと残念至極ですが、それでも諏訪市民の声で復興された誇りだと思いますし、十分に見応えもある素敵なお城だと感じました。こじんまりしたスケール感でありながら、この雰囲気は訪れてみる価値があると思います。天守最上階の展望スペースからは、快晴であれば富士山も望めます。ぜひ、お立ち寄りください。

混んでいなくて市民の公園といった感じで散歩している方が多いと感じました。湖が近くこじんまりとして見やすいお城です。城内は2階以外写真撮影OKでした。4/10に行きました。高遠城址公園の桜は満開でしたが、高島城の桜はまだ早かったようです😐

Beautifully restored, photogenic castle, with a neighbouring shrine and park. The interior is also nice, but really only worth the entry fee if skies are clear enough to see Fuji from the observation deck.

Good view of Suwa lake area. The castle tower itself was rebuilt with ferro-concrete. Trees on the ground is beautiful, especially spring and autumn season.

A beautiful Japanese architectural work. It is well located, has parking and has a beautiful garden. Excellent for a peaceful walk to meditate and enjoy a beautiful landscape.

It is a good place but the insides of the castle is already renovated and doesnt have the vibe of a castle, only as a historical museum. The entrance fee is ¥300, do not forget to get two stamps while enjoying the trip here. Nevertheless the park is great and beautiful as a place to rest.

Its always a nice place to visit. The castle is full of interesting artifacts and historical information. The surrounding park area inside the castle walls are very nice and well-kept. The park area is very popular during cherry blossom season.

Nice garden and enjoyable to relax at. The castle is small and nice on the outside, but on the inside modern. The exhibition is in Japanese only.

Nice little park with renovated castle, about 15 minutes away from the train station. It has many sakura trees and looks really beautiful. The view from the top of the castle is also very nice (cost ¥300). Great place to visit if you are around the region.

Somehow the surrounding areas of the Takashima castle feels very homey and comfy rather than an imposing feeling like other Japanese castle which brings a sweet smile to the face. We see many younger generations spending their time here. There are a small playground on the Takashima castle lawn close to the public toilet. The small water garden where a few sakura trees stood were just developing bud flower at the End of March 2019. Last entrance into Takashima castle is at 4PM. But you can enjoy the small garden park anytime leisurely.

Great Castle of Japan. Different architecture if compared to Indonesian Castle. Great garden landscape including the waterfall. And of course the ancient war cloth and weapon, were still maintain well.

Nice place to relax and feel the japanese culture. Good place to take photographs also, specially during cherry blossom and autumn.

This is one of the smaller, more humble Japanese castles youll come across, and its not one Id go far out of my way to see, but if youre passing through Suwa, its well worth stopping to see. The grounds are well kept and its not crawling with tourists.

A nice little Japanese castle. If you have 1 hour to spend in Kamisuwa, it is a good option to visit.

Kami Suwa is very beautiful city with mesmerizing Lake Suwa, Takeshima palace. Very good place to have a lonely , Peaceful and self discovery brake.
