Taj Mahal Restaurant in Honiara

If you are in town and you never try this then you are missing out. Growing in tropical country, I really enjoy foods with strong flavor and spices, In Honiara, unfortunately there are not many places offer that kind of foods, Most foods was quite bland for my preference since it is mainly Western or Chinese cuisine.Their lamb dish was sooooo good and the taste was just perfect. They also take out the chunks of spices before serving it, so we could enjoy the dishes comfortably, The portion was also good and filling. I prefer pairing most of the dishes with rice since the taste was more neutral. 1000% recommended!.

First time at Shiekas Vegetarian, my vegetarian family enjoyed the fish. I enjoyed the ox tails stew. Three people approximately $16@ included shared brownie for dessert.

Humongous portions with a cheap price tag. The onion pakora was very good with deep fried curry leaves. Unfortunately, although the main curry portions were huge they tasted rather powdery rather than prepared with fresh spices. Having said that if you are very hungry and can demolish large portions this is the place for you

This place was delicious. We ordered a butter chicken curry, a pumpkin curry, and an eggplant dish that I cant remember the name. They were all quite good and enough to be shared and still took some home. We also ordered the garlic naan and small white rice to share and it was plenty for three of us. My only complaint is that the pieces of pumpkin still had the skin on it which I dont enjoy, I would rather have had it peeled.

What a treat...Having a nice restaurant thats full of flavour and taste cooked by an authentic Indian chef.Delicious and large parathas..Great curries.Get the big jug of bush lime of youre with a group and a lassi if you cant handle spice to drink.The lamb dishes are delicious and there is also exceptional desert to be had.

Food is great event though quite expensive... the Rogan Josh is very nice

Lovely calm environment, food is great and in large quantity, you will not be able to finish it, so why not takeaway for later :)
