Taj Indian restaurant in Taipei

The food is awesome but the restaurant MUST give an extra attention to their hygienic standards, it is not good if the place is dirty. :( the staffs are nice and it woulda been 5 stars if it wasn’t for their cleanliness. I take this in account A LOT.

Authentic Indian cuisine. It is so delicious, I highly recommend this place. Decorated nicely with Authentic handmade wall hangings. Plenty of space for everyone.

Ambience is lovely & clean... Friendly Staffs... Food is good... But I didnt like some of the food items. Loved the Paneer Kadhai so much. I would like to try their buffet.

Recommended by a friend to try. Foods tasted amazing and milk tea too (recommend to order with sugar at least half sugar). Decor was special too. You can get free milk tea by checking in on Facebook. At the end of our meal, owner gave us some kind of candy that tasted special, in a good way. Overall was satisfied with my foods. Muslim friends can come here to eat as this restaurant is also halal certified.

Food is good. But they charge extra for rice. People normally eat curry with rice so why would the curry dishes come without rice?

The taste of the food is approved by the children as well as us. Indian atmosphere with beautiful patterns. Very friendly and good service. A restaurant suitable for dining together or alone. Another important thing, this restaurant is halal certified.I love the rice and the bread (sorry i dont know the name). The taste is very rich. My kids love the tandoori chicken. The tea also is delicious.

This restaurant probably is one of the best Indian food I’ve had in Taiwan. The owner has good taste in decorating the restaurant. Felt like I was in other countries when dining in. The food was fantastic. I will come back here again.

Palak Paneers was not bad, butter naan, paratha were good. Biryani can use more aroma/flavor. Vegetable Korma tasted like cream of mushroom - this one dish really needs improvement as it lacks the flavor that one would expect from Authentic Indian places such as Veer Jee / Balle Balle / Oye Punjabi / Ammas / Tandori Indian Food.

Great Indian place - probably the best in Taipei for my money. Naan could use to be slightly fluffier but the paratha is amazing. The yellow daal is a standout!

Weekend buffet lunch on Saturday and Sunday @ 450NTD all you can eat. The quality of the food is good. You have many options with chicken, lamb varieties , two kinds of rice, NAN, kebabs, sweet, fruits, veg salad, indian milk tea hot and cold. Overall good food for good price. One star less bcz of the spoiled taste of Rasmalai.

Ordered the signature set and its satisfying. I like the lamb curry and the bread the most among all. The fried dough with rose syrup is yum and a cant miss if you like sweets.Staff is very kind, and they take mobile payments.

Tandoori chicken was tasteless and dried. Curry fish tasted muddy and cold in the center. Garlic nan was the worst I’ve had and the bathroom is gross. I read so many positive reviews on the friendly staff and owner, wonder where they are when I was there

The Indian breads are great, especially the potato flavor. I love the chicken curry that is very typical and traditional. The cookies served before dinner are cool. The taste is combination with ginger(also the Indian style tapioca pudding).The environment is exotic as if we were in India. Nice service and staffs.

The service is phenomenal! The waiter open the door for you and greeted us with a big smile. When we ask for food recommendations, they introduce their menu in details and gave us great recommendations! Their lamb curry is super delicious. I will definitely come here again!

I am sadly giving one star to this restaurant, it used to be my favorite indian restaurant in Taipei, but I went yesterday and found out that they are cero environmentaly friendly... paper cup, plastic fork and spoon and papar plate, what a waste!

Very enjoyable evening. Well presented, delicious curry. Staff is friendly. Smartly dressed and welcoming.The boss did a round of the tables mid-evening, to say hello to his regular clientele and spoke to us briefly about the history of the restaurant and secret recipes.A nice touch, and something all well run restaurants should do. Definitely recommend it!Chef Rawat came to personally serve the food and introduced the dishes; made us feel like home, which is rare these days.

One of the best Indian restaurant in Taipei. Authentic Indian taste food. Lots of veg and non veg options. I have been in Taipei for a week. Tried both veg and non veg options. All of them were tasty. And one main thing is, all non veg foods are Halal. The hotel is owned by a practicing Muslim brother Ameen bhai from Lahore.They have rice items, roti items, juices and deserts.And one other best point is it is in very accessible area. You can easily reach out by metro. The nearest metro station is Zhonxiao Fuxing (take Exit4). Less than 5 min walkable distance from there.Everyone should try this.

Really good food and nice environment to dine in. Traditional Indian flavors made by Indian chef. However, it is a little bit pricy. Or else I would come here more often for everyday meal.
