100, Taiwan, Taipei City, Zhongzheng District, Section 1, Shimin Boulevard, 100號B1, Taoyuan City
Sprawling underground shopping center with stores arranged by category, plus parking & a food court.
This shopping mall rules. I would spend every day here if i could. Games, gachapon, lottery toys, anime, claw machines. Pro tip: get yourself a coke and sour plum mix from the soda bar.
Good place to shop at an affordable price
Huge underground mall with many shopsGood place to walk around while waiting for train
I wish I could be there again…missing this place and environment 😎
Still the local teen hangout. This fully underground mall is a great place to bring the kids on a rainy day. Arcades; video game stores; a dedicated Yugi oh and Pokemon card shops. Cheap food and snacks. Very convenient, all underground just follow signs from Taipei Main station.
Taipei Main Stasion B1Its Very good 👍 🙂
This mall is providing you a cozy place to talk, buy something good things with your friends and family
The mall itself is open from 11:00-22:00, but most of the shops in it dont open until around noon. The toy shops are great with reasonable prices. The mall seems to target mostly the anime/nerdy type or southeast Asian workers.Despite having relatively wide walk ways, most patrons walk like idiots, usually walking against the traffic for some reason. The bathrooms have been recently renovated and look nice, the the mall itSelf has a old-fashioned ugly Taiwanese building aesthetic.
There is a Duroyal ice cream store thats great! Also a place to buy video games
Absolutely worth to come and check the underground shops, they pretty much sell everything. Especially if you loves anime and games (PS, Nintendo, Xbox).
All thing you can buy here , its the Central taipei shoping spot with easy way transportation. You can come to shoping with train,HSR,MRT,Bus,Taxi and so on
I was feeling like a little bit hungry while I was walking around the Taipei city mall so I was looking for some cheep snack to fill up my stomach. Finally I found a Taiwanese food stand near Y20 exit. I ordered stewed meet rice to the man who seemed to be the master then he answered me with a little Japanese and recommended me to add stewed egg. Look at this picture guys, this only costs 40NTD including 10NTD boiled egg with hot soy souse poured on it as you like. Tastes great!
A great place for walking in rainy or very hot weather. Stride it out between Taipei Main and Beimen Stations, and back again on the other side. Food, deserts, clothing, luggage, electronic accessories and phones.
2021 covid-19 no people...............................................
Its the best tourist attraction that nobodys aware of. You come over to this underground world of miles and miles of shopping area and never have to come up for air again. There are bookstores, convenient stores, restaurants, souvenir shops, clothing stores, and arcades. You can get to the train station, the rail to the airport, MRT from here. Be careful not to get lost in this huge underground maze. Theres even an app developed for navigation.
One of the underappreciated tourist wonders of Taipei, this underground shopping street has saved us from boredom many a time it was too hot or rainy to walk outside. It is at the same time tacky and fascinating. Some of the things you might find here: old men playing violins or other instruments, weird t-shirts, normal t-shirts, vintage computer games, traditional Chinese clothing, crystals, led-related electronics, maid cafés, Indonesian restaurants, tea, Chinese amulets, manga figurines. And lots of other things. On weekends, this appears to be a hub for the manga and otaku crowd.
This underground mall is not just literal but also metaphorically so. It has sections with different themes and shops grouped together so its easier to navigate. Be sure to pay here a visit to see if any of the bargain buys catch your eye!
Many retails and f&b outlets at this mall. Great place to walk around and do some shopping while waiting for your train or bus
Fantastic place to buy some small things. You should explore this underground street if you have a time!
This is a huge and busy mall. It has many shops and wonderful food. Make sure to keep your toddler close or in a buggy, there are a lot of people. It was easy to lose adults and having a kid running around would have been a nightmare. We like going here because of the variety of foreigner friendly shops and English speakers.
Definitely worth visiting here. The layout is a little different. Its pretty much two long corridors/lanes split into different shopping sections/criteria (see photo of map in this review)There are a lot of similar shops but still a lot of different things to look at.I went to one of the smaller food shops/restaurants there (cant remember the name of it sorryand had a chicken curry which was really nice, but there are heaps of food shops to choose from and they all look really nice, so there is food for everyone, even if you dont feel like Asian/Taiwanese food I saw an Italian restaurant/food shop in there.
I have been to this place several times over the course of 10 years. The shops have definitely changed from clothes centric to anime centric. You can find cute Gachapons and anime shops everywhere. You might also want to check out the cute casings at the shops. There are also various food options for you to choose from at the underground shopping mall.
The rain cant stop you from exploring the underground world....grab some snacks and get ready for a fun-filled walk. Watch out for cute advertisement boards. No need to worry about direction. People are super friendly and direction boards up above the hallway are pretty convenient.Heaven for anime and manga lovers. Nice place to get some sovenier as well.
Taipei City Mall is a long underground mall with personality. Most of the stalls are not part of big chains. Some are tiny and staffed by the owner. Many of the stallholders will dig through their boxed stock to find a size or color of interest. The prices for casual clothes were very good.It is a good place to find small souvenirs (suitable for tourists with carry-on luggage). We bought some silk coin purses, ‘jade’ pendants, and a number of small electronic accessories. The electronic accessories (e.g., USB Chargers, cords, etc.are cheaper than those usually available in the USA and seem to be of high quality. We bought some 3 meter long Lightning cables for 120 NTD each – they offered to let us test them before we took it away.Although it can be busy at times, we visited a couple of times on the weekend and the crowds were only an issue in one souvenir and jewelry shop. There are also a number of individually owned food establishments. We enjoyed a big lunch at an Indonesian restaurant. We also enjoy the reasonably priced knife massage (see other review for more info). Blind massage is also available and seemed to be reasonably priced. While you can access Taipei City Mall from Taipei Main Station, we did so from Q Square Mall where we were staying in a serviced apartment (from the down escalator outside the doors across the main aisle from Starbucks).Taipei City Mall may not be for everybody. If you like designer fashions and well laid out department stores you might be happier someplace else. If you like randomness and friendly casual people this might be a place you would like to visit.
Lots and lots of small stalls selling gifts, souvenirs, bags, shoes and many many others to name a few. Its aircon and comfortable. Surprisingly, the walkways are wide and that makes shopping so much more pleasant. Fun to walk around and see whats available.
Perfect for shoppers with no particular to-buy list, yet end up a hand of bags with fashionable clothing, traditional items, souvenirs, gadgets, etc; and another hand always with tapioca drink, various flavors. For first time visitors: prepare a day there and dont get lost.
One the best malls Ive been to. Underground, goes on for miles in nice straight lines each station has different cultures attached to each mall. Its just so much fun to chill and dance competitions, gaming and then eating and shopping.
Its crowded during weekends but if you can travel here on a workday, you can find good deals while you walk comfortably past a good variety of stores
This place deserves to be better known! Plenty of video game stores, figurines, arcades, clothes and food. Very small prices compared to anywhere else in the city. The mall looks endless and is very lively. We switched from quiet and desert streets to the underground madness, and we jumped in it.
Really big place with a lot off different shops. It was hard to find the food court but the place itself is worth going to.
You can walk around the underground and buy whatever you want at a reasonable price
This special kind of economy in Taipei influenced by Japan generates a lot of impact on the habits of youth, the relationship between friends and family, the visitors’ flow in Taipei city mall which locates underground between two subway stations near Taipei main station. Taipei city mall attracts a lot of foreign labors on holidays to have a networking and friends gathering, those workers mainly come from South Asia, such as Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. They help the Taiwanese family and factory owners a lot. Thanks for their contribution to Taiwan.
The mall is located within Taipei Main Station. The concept is good, it’s underground. Many stalls, clothings, accessories, food stall. Prices are not cheap. Standard shopping mall price. Nothing special, passed time here before heading to another destination.
Here has so many different shops, like crystal shops, game shops, shoes shops, bags shops and clothes shops. Also, here has restsurants of many different kind of food. Its the under ground street, you will feel comfortable when outside is too hot, too cold or raining. Its quite big let you spend all day here.
One of the best malls with great architecture. All premium brands here . And at tax free prices for foreigners
Is nice and convient place to shop when your around the area, the foods are ok, not the best or the real tradition, but at least you can feed up your hungry tummy. As for the shop they offer really good price and sometimes you can bargain a bit if the thing you want to buy is upper price, otherwise there’s no need to bargain at all. Also the main topper floor had a nice bookshop. Recommend
There are many small shops and food stalls. Many cool souvenirs and manga / comic stuff to find, plush animals, etc. It is worth the trip and very convenient to reach
If you are going out for souvenirs or cheaper prices for good selection then this place is great.Lots of selection available here, at fairly reasonable prices. However; the mall can be very daunting during weekends, a lot of people and noise in a confined space.Make sure to bring some water if braving the weekend shoppers. Avoid them entirely if you can.
Excellent place to shop, its a must go for shoppers! Lots of cheap shoes, clothes and fashion stuff. Theres also a section for young kids, toys, arcade and so on. Can get quite crowded during wkends with locals and tourists.
Its an Underground mall selling all sorts of stuff from electronics to apparels. But not street food/drinks or snacks. This mall is connected to another underground mall. Both combined is probably about 2km long. Its all air-conditioned, so quite good to go during hot summer or rainy days.
This place was very large. It seemed like a few malls in one. This mall is underground. Lots of stores and so much food to try from the many vendors. The only issue I had was all the homeless outside. They pee all over the place and makes it smell terrible. I wish the city would do something about this because this is a main subway hub for many tourist as well.
Great mall and a huge section is anime merchandise, not sure if all of it is legit, just look at the figure and buy it if you are satisfied with the quality, prices are good. Lots of Gundam stores also so its easy to find models, check as stores have different prices for the same model or fig. Lots of game stores also. If youre into anime, budget a few hours here. Y15-Y25 is the anime area.
They have an area which sell tons of figurine and have capsule machines and claw machine. If you have the time, be sure to compare prices before buying, most of the stall sell same things but is priced differently, price different is about 100 ntd. Is a great place for figurine collector!
Most of the stores just sell cheap things, not upper end things like youd expect at a regular mall. If thats what your looking for then its a good place to go but its not what I expected. and it seemed that for such S humongous mall, a lot of the stores seemed repetitive in what they sold.
Came here when it was raining in Taipei. I was pleasantly surprised by the shops in the underground mall. Not your usual glitzy mall, you can find a couple of massage joints (service by blind masseurs), a few fortune telling joints, a electronic games zone, a food and drinks zone, etc.Not bad if you have a couple of hours to explore.
Its a heaven for action figure & Gunpla collectors
Extremely crowded shopping streets underground, full of shops and restaurants, also events happening in here on the weekends. But shops here dont seem to sell good quality products nor nice designs though you have a lot of choices here.
Easy to get lost as its a huge mall.Almost everything you wanted can be founded in this mall.
Best place to shop for Anime Figures in Taipei, prices are very competitive.
Taipei main station offers unlimited shopping. One entire day visiting underground shops is not really enough. It can take an entire week for shopaholics to complete each area of the mall hidden in this station. Hundreds of stores, cheap food court, Taiwanese souvenirs and super cheap clothes, lacking a bit in quality but not in quantity. Huge variety of cakes and tea to bring home as souvenirs and nice memories, a lot of brands to choose from and all types of stationary and videogames. Worth visiting for buying whatever it comes to your head, a lot of imported gadgets from Japan are also in the F area of the underground for otaku and fan boys-girls.
