Tahmis Kahvesi in Gaziantep

They serve extremely high quality Turkish baklava so tasty 😋 it makes your mind wonder why there is nothing semeler back home?. I love there baklava and coffee. Worth visiting for sure once youre in Gaziantep. My compliments to them.

I had the menengic and ottoman coffee - menengic is very very tasty but the ottoman I didn’t like at all; it’s not coffee in my view, and I also believe the name is not really fair as it implies as it was from the ottoman times - after checking with the seller he said it’s not the case.Also the staff is very helpful and answered all my questions.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere. Very traditional, delicious Turkish coffee experience. I also recommend to try pistachio coffee (which is not a coffee, no caffeine but still similar to coffeeits so good.

The coffee is good but it was difficult to get the waiters attention to order anything and staff is kind of rude there is also no menu. It was 180TL for 4 coffees and a slice of baklava pretty sure we were ripped off.

Great place for Turkish desert

Worst baklava in Gaziantep. Avoid.

The interior is beautiful and well maintained. We tried the yellow tea, tasted like thyme. Not horrible, just weird.We only stayed for tea (30minsbut in that time at least 6 different people came in just to pose for photos inside, it was quite rude. Dont be one of these 6 people. At least sit down for tea and enjoy the warm interior, if you want a photo.

This place is a rip off. If you are a tourist, stay away at all costs. Worst behaviour we encountered in 5 weeks travelling around Turkey

Proper Turkish Coffee, so far best in Gaziantep. All other coffee place is good, but they are serving you local turkish coffee.

Nice old cafe next to the bazaar and the old town. Very friendly staff. Do not miss the pistachio coffee with a baklava or two. They also have a terrace and a shop where they sell their coffee.

I visited this place for Nargile and a cup of tea,The Nargile was nice and full of flavour,The tea was very nice as well,Outdoor covered seating is a very nice option in the great weather of Gaziantep,I recommend this place of an afternoon relaxation with drinks and Nargile

We were not in the restaurant as in the pictures but across the street. Coffees were not to our expectations.They were cold.Unfortunately.And the plant is dead.

We had pistachio Turkish coffee, it was very good. Staff were friendly, the cafe is very comfortable and popular.

It was a nice experience to drink coffee in this place. The place is vibrant with local musicians but crowdy. It is hard to find a place to sit and have coffee at evening. Coffee was excellent in taste and I suggest to have a try.

With beautiful and historical interior, this cafe provides visitors with an authentic cafe culture experience in Gaziantep. Their ‘Menengic’ coffee is one of the best in the or menu along with others. Only down side is their cold drinks menu. They only have canned drinks available and few fresh juice if not mistaken. They could have tried making Turkish coffee and Menengic coffee Iced. A tiny bit of experiment wont hurt 😊

The place is very nice and peaceful,staffs are very kind,friendly and quick.Toilet was clean.Place is very authentic. Place has a very important history since the Ottoman.A Ottoman Sultan was drank a coffe in here. Coffee was high quality I tried “menengiç” but I think normal Turkish coffee should be better.Autopark is 200-250 m away from the place.There are lots of spice seller,restaurants,old caravanserais around the cafe.

Don’t go to this place. I don’t recommend it. İt is a horrible place. The workers are really rude. One of them made us leave the table because we weren’t a big enough party! We were 6 people! It is unbelievable! There are better coffee places than this. The coffee is decent. I’ve had better coffee than this.

Tahmis means a place where coffee beans are ground. This cafe serves almost 400 years. It is said that Sultan Murat 4th rested here while he was going to his campaign to Bagdad.This cafe has its own type of coffee named Menengic which is made of terebinth.If you come to Gaziantep, you should definitely try it.

Nice coffee shop in an interesting part of town - near lots of pistachio baklava specialist cafes.Tahmis claims to have been in existence the 1600s so it has history on its side! The cafe is large with several entrances and was rollicking like a club when we walked in on a Sunday afternoon! It turns out traditional street musicians walk through the cafe singing and playing instruments from time to time during the weekends.The cafe is known for its Menengic pistachio coffee. Served like a traditional Turk Kahvesi the menengic has a unique taste of pistachio. A must try for any visitor to Gaziantep.While Im sure there are other decent places for the pistachio coffee we found our experience at Tahmis worthwhile.

Tahnis kahvesi is very beautiful coffee shop with nice atmosphere. There are 2 floors there. Second floor is more cosy. Its interesting that on weekends (we have visited it on weekendstreet musicians come and play there and performance is really amazing! All people record video of musicians. They are playing and singing just few minutes and go. One hour later they come back again. You need to visit Tahmis kahvesi while you are in Gaziantep.

Very nice place to taste Turkish and Menengic coffee. Authentic and historical place. There is also garden place to have drinks. Some nuts are served with coffee.

Kahve soylediginiz zaman oncelikle su ve kuruyemis geliyor. Kuruyemisi onermislerdi, fakat cok begenmedim. Kahve de guzeldi. 4 kahve ve bir sise suya 39TL odedik ki turistik bir mekan icin fazla degildi.They bring water and some kind of dried nuts (as a snackshortly after you order. My friends have recommended me that snack, however, I didnt like it that much. The coffee was really good. We paid 39 lira for.4 coffees and a bottle of water (they bring the water right away but they charge you anywayswhich is not expensive for a very popular cafe.

The place is a fancy historical Han, and they have smoking area across the street where you can get to smoke nargila as well. They bring some roasted seeds as complement (including weed seeds which is traditional snak in Antep and doesnt get you high anyways). Their best for me is minengiç kahvesi (which coffee made out of wild pistachios)

Excellent authentic Turkish Coffee House. Tried Turkish Coffee, Melengish Coffee (made out of male pistachiosamazing Gaziantep tastes. Highly recommended.
