Tadka in Zürich (Kreis 12)

Poor service with too many excuses. You can easily find this by reading their replies to many reviews here. They are always pretending to be innocent…

I would give zero star if I could. The waitress has no profession and made a mistake and forgot our order for about one hour. Her excuse is she is also a human. Come on, why not she forget she is being a human. Shame on her being a human! I would not recommend this restaurant anymore.

We went here at 1.25pm and they refused to serve us saying it’s closed ..wherein on its page it clearly says it closes at 2pm.

Excellent food. Courtesy. Italians are not used to Zurich food prices, however this place is worth the bill.

Going here was a spontaneous decision and I have to say it was one of the best I‘ve ever made. The staff was incredibly nice and kind and I am a fan of all of them. They were so attentive & when my friend could not handle the spice they brought yoghurt to relieve her burning mouth. The food was so freaking delicious, it teleported me straight to heaven. Not to mention how many different things one could choose! Everyone will find something here, wether you are vegan (many great options!!), meat lover, spice lover or on the milder side, Tadka will have something for you. I had the Bhindi Masala with Masala Naan and I hope my brain never forgets how good it was - my stomach certainly won’t! To round it up, we were offered some ginger liquor and I could not be happier. So much love to this restaurant!

Reserved online and headed over for dinner with two friends. Food was amazing - well spiced, great flavour. By far the best Indian meal Ive had in Switzerland. And if you need it, they speak perfect English! They obviously have a ton of great vegetarian options, too, but really recommend the jalfrezi, and the tandoori chicken tikka.

Pathetic food and service. No Indian taste at all, Ive been served salty Mango Lassi, can you believe it.

Very nice restaurant in Switzerland..if you are looking for good Indian food its a must visit for all...the best thing about the restaurant apart from food is great service.. the owner of the restaurant is very nice and friendly gentlemen, really liked the hospitality and service..Price is reasonable given the food quality and service..would definitely recommend as must visit..

A cozy restaurant. Buffet offerings are not extensive but dishes are tasty. They have vegetarian and meat buffet (with one fish and one chicken dish). Their regular menu has large options.We ran out of coins to feed the parking meter and they were gladly breaking a bill for us.

Good customer service. Paneer curry was good. I reached very late for takeout at their closing time. They honored my request and made fresh paneer curry. Food was good here

Decent Indian food, owned by a very nice gentleman who is from Jamshedpur so the food has decent Indian taste(not the pseudo Indian taste you get in some restaurants who claim to be Indian but are owned by non Indians), a few steps away from tram station thats served by tram 4 & 17Food is pricey but that you will notice across anywhere in Switzerland.A must visit place when in Zurich, and in case you miss speaking in Hindi while in Zurich, almost all staff members speak in Hindi.Note : dont be surprised if you get charged for the normal tap water (read around the drink and donate policy practised in Zurich city)

Great Service and good value for Indian buffet in Switzerland Zürich. 19.50 is good value and food was good. Butter chicken, naan , rice , thandoori chicken ,v eg pakora, pickle,papad , mint chutney, Raitha, and 3 veg items. Definitely recommend . Tried Lunch Buffet for 2 persons for 39 CHF.

Looked at the buffet. It was stale. Looked at the al a carte menu. It’s a ripoff for Indian food. $28+ for almost all items on the menu. Asked for tap and they said that will be 3CHF as well since they have bring out the glass and pour water in it. You got to be kidding me. Avoid this place!! It’s a ripoff.

We went here for lunch. As tourists from India, we were looking for Indian food and Tadka is one of the best Indian restaurant in Zurich. We opted for Buffet lunch take away. Food was tasty.Very courteous staff. We forgot our camera there by mistake. However the owner had kept it aside for us and we collected it later in the evening.

Very decent Indian food in Zurich. Its hard to find good ones and this is probably one of the best. The tandoori chicken is excellent. Also a fan of the Malai Tikka masala and naans.

I think its the best Indian restaurant in Zurich. Very good curries and atmosphere is always very pleasant. They have a tasty lunch buffet as well.

Horrible restaurant with the worst management skills I’ve seen. Sitting here right now and they moved some table so close into our space. We don’t even have the space to leave or move. Also super hot. We told them we would just leave and they had no response…

The Indian population has a majority of a vegetarians and they have switched up the foods by serving vegetarians non veg food. We had ordered a veg biryani and they gave a chicken biryani instead and didn’t have any guilty for the mistake they did.Then why should the Indian vegetarians go to this restaurant ???Please don’t go to this restaurant and check again twice

We ordered vegetable biryani as we are vegetarians but the order was not even verified at the table and they served a non vegetarian meal. The restaurant doesnt deserve the hype that is depicted as per google reviews. in my view, being attentive is a basic trait expected when taking orders and this is missing. If you are Vegetarian, . this is definitely not the place !! Pls beware.

Vegetarians please be aware. We being vegetarians ordered a veg biriyani, and they instead served a chicken biriyani. When pointed out the waiters werent even apologetic. Such a disgusting place!

Clean and bright setting with mice garden. Food and service is good and prices are moderate. There is a lunch buffet. Outside there are tables on the gravelled area with trees which provide a nice shade. Tram stop Quekken Strasse is few meters awayCompliments to the chef!

I went there with my mom and the food was amazing!! The whole staff is extremely sweet and the ambiance is wonderful.

hellow i am very disappointed with the behaviour of the waited he talked to me very rudely because i was just having my own water and i asked that can i drink my own water so he just replied no because of the rules and regulations of the restaurant you cannot drink your own water and i asked waitor to give normal tap water then he said one litre is for 5 chf currency then he said keep your bottle down otherwise leave the restro i request everyone dont go to this restro

Very delicious and tasty indian food feels that having food in back home. Realy worth even traveling kms to get the real indian food beside nice treatment from the restaurant team.

A most enjoyable meal . On recommendation of the waiter opted for the meat buffet which was amazing. A great choice of dishes and relishes all full of wonderful flavours. Highly recommend and will definitely return when next in Zurich.

Tadka restaurant in Zurich. Excellent Indian food, authentic flavour and taste. Hindi speaking waiters, suave and well behaved. Must visit if you crave for home food.

A good experience. We ordered Samosas and they were really good. Garlic Naan with paneer tikka and mix vegetable was also quiet tasty. The owner had a really smiling and welcoming face. It was Monday evening and we were still quiet lucky to get the table because we were little early for the dinner. However within no time the restaurant was full. Hence reservation is highly recommended...

Great friendly service, nice outdoor garden seating especially for summer dining, the food is really tasty, one of the better Indians in town, no comparison to the old Tandoori in Seefeld which I deemed the best in town. Unfortunately Tandoori BBQ closed a few years back. If you miss good Indian, give this place a try. My one suggestion is that the meat cuts for curry should be higher quality, the cooking is excellent.

I ordered a delivery from Tadka after reading all the amazing comments here. Well I was not happy at all with what I received. The meat was super fat, we needed to cut half of it and the sauce was very average, like a tomato puree from the supermarket with some spices…I really don’t see in this the “best Indian restaurant in Zurich” which was stated in lot of comments.Maybe I was just very unlucky with my choice of the meal (butter chickenor there is a double standard and the meals for delivery have not the same quality as those you can eat in the restaurant.I can not say how the quality is when you eat there, I will definitely never order from this place again.

Great ambience, super food . We had buffet and the varieties of chutneys were really great. Garlic naan and tandoori roti were too good.And to add Staff is super polite and amicable.Lovely place...

This place is elegant with an awesome vibe. I went for breakfast and the food was amazing. The service was speedy and friendly. Their (FNare absolutely incredible! This lone visit has made this one of my favorite spots within (CN).

Great restaurant and I will not forget the taste of butter chicken here.It was suggested by a friend of mine, I thought it would be a normal casual one like the others, but the staff here were super friendly and the food was quite good as well.This was a great choice for a dinner with the family as the atmosphere was also quite good.

The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, the staff is very friendly and the food is amazing. Their portions are also good amount. In the summer time, they also have outside space!

Great indian restaurant with buffet as well!The place has a lot of room inside but they also have a garden which is heated so it has the same temperature as inside, even in the winter.They have a regular a la carte but also a buffet which includes 3 options with meat, 3 vegetarian and some starters. The time we went it was butter chicken, jalfrezi and shrimps for the meat option.The staff was super friendly as well :if you eat spicy, note that you have to mention that since the default items on the menu are not really spicy at all.

Nice little Restaurant with great food. There is a all you can eat buffet for a really good price, but quiet a few dishes there for vegans. On the opposite in the menu, every vegan dish ish labelled and there are a lot!Make a reservation because this place is popular. Looking forward to eat there again.

The food is tailored to European palate and the restaurant is quite popular among the locals. They serve a complimentary rice bowl with curries, so just be cautious on the quantity of food you order.
