This place was delightful! We went before Covid but I never got to write a review. The owner was super nice and hospitable. The food was downright excellent. I would definitely go again if I was in the area

Really cute location and yummy foodDecorated with good taste, filled with luxurious plants, the place is the cutest we found in Leon.4 dishes on the menu, with everything very “custom-made” for us. You can choose between quesadilla, burrito or yuca.I had a mix of beef and chicken, my husband the porc. All The meat was tender, juicy and really tasty. The plate was really big and filling.Oh and try the mojito. They make it with “granita ice”, so you litterally “drink” the ice.Everything perfect for a descent price (185 cordoba/plate)Must try, with a really nice owner

Nous sommes parti manger ailleurs.Nous avons été extrêmement déçu de ne pas manger dans ce restaurant qui daprès les avis était dun meilleur standing... Dommage !

BY FAR my favorite restaurant in Leon. Everything you can ask for in a restaurant. Large and delicious drinks. Unbelievable food. Fairly priced. Best part is the extremely helpful owner though who has a great personality and ensures a good time. You’re missing out if you don’t go here while in Leon.

Been here twice, the owner is super friendlyand suggested ground beef tacos & the vegetarian plate with banana chips. Both were great!

Frozen cocktails are amazing, go just for then! But we were a bit disappointed by the food based on the reviews, fish wasnt available so had pork which was dry and flavourless - needed a salsa or something to accompany it. Not great value for the food considering. Nice courtyard and friendly staff though!

The Pina Colada I had here was beyond exceptional. As I was drinking it, I became truly sad as it diminished - I could not believe what I was drinking.I would not be surprised if they spent hours each day picking the freshest pineapple in all of Nicaragua. It was blended to perfection, served in a gorgeous jar.However, the true magic of this delicious cocktail came from the welcome addition of an equally fresh banana. Such an incredible surprise flavour that now feels as though should be a staple in all Pina Coladas.The combination of flavours in this drink was truly special. I will be searching for a Pina Colada of this quality for a very long time. I doubt I will ever find one as good. Thank you.Muy Bien!

We had dinner here last night and the tacos were absolutely delicious! My husband had the pork tacos and I the fish tacos both with vegetables on the side - really really tasty! And the plates were big too, definitely felt very stuffed at the end. Can also highly recommend the drinks. The mojito was nice and minty and the margarita was great too - and look at the size of it!Also really loved the interior of the place plus super friendly staff :)

A fantastic spot to enjoy delicious Cuban food in León, with classics such as Lechón, ropa vieja, stewed fish. The mojito was fantastic too. Not terribly cheap, not terribly expensive, we paid about 24 AUD for two (very bigmain meals and a mojito.If you speak Spanish, the owner is fun to talk to - he has spent some time in Australia (without speaking a lick of English), so who knows, maybe hes spent time in your country too.A previous reviewer mentioned it being strange that the menu didnt have prices - never fear, you can just ask the staff how much things cost, and avoid any bill shock.

Tacubaya was very hospitable and the food was great! We ate the beef and porc qoth plantain chips and salad. For travellers passing by, this is the place to eat. We highly recommend.

The owner is Cuban and his style and knowledge of food in incredible. Best place to eat in Leon 2019 hands down. I eat here quite often and when family visits this is the place to eat. Very tasty food, friendly staff, beautiful place inside

Fast and friendly service, tasty Latino food. Menu didn’t have prices which we found strange. You choose a meat option that’s served alongside an extra (salad, bread etc.also of your choice. Can recommend the frozen mojo. Cute setting with lots of decorations and greenery.

Absolutely delicious meal. The best we’ve had in Central America (one veggie and one meat eater). The staff are a delight, as is the decor and atmosphere. Gorgeous setting. The Cuban dishes were packed with flavour and left us seriously satisfied. Will be returning again! A must for any foodie in Leon.

Malisima la comida super salada. Nada que ver, el sabor era horrible insipida lo unico q senti era sal,sal,sal, no lo recomiendo. Los precios no valen lo que te sirven. PESIMO.

Fabulous Cuban food! Just like you were in Cuba. The owner/host is an amazing person that will treat you like family and give you a top notch experience. The dish I had were tortillas with pork cuban style, it was delicious and highly recommended.

Great Cuban-owned restaurant with a really nice relaxed feel and colourful but slick aesthetic. Three separate seating areas so you’re never cramped. The food is really fresh, light and flavourful. Most enjoyable meal I’ve had in Léon so far (been here a week). Very friendly owner!

My wife and I loved this place. We have been traveling a month in Central America and the shredded carne was the best of any meat we have had on our trip. Others spoke about how delicious the pork was. Huge portions of food as well.

Cuban food in Leon. This place was very clean and delicious!

Just had dinner here tonight with family (wife and two boys). The mojitos are amazing, really amazing. The kid friendly friendly juices were just as nice. Food was so delicious that we ate every last bit, even with the huge portions. The staff were really friendly, great with the kids and we are definitely going back before we leave Leon.

Visited here just a night ago with 2 friends. Lovely, quiet place in a traditional colonial home. The small garden in the middle is nice, but really the food and friendliness are the stand-outs here: great portions of delicious Cuban food, crazy good (read: super mintyMojitos, and the owner Orlando, make this an excellent choice for those passing through Leon.
