Tacos Don Nacho - Mexican restaurant in Woonsocket, United States
1st time there. got 2 hard shell beef tacos. came on paper plates wrapped in foil. got it home. 5 min drive and they were laying flat, soft and soggy. Nothing to write home about.service was fast and indifferent.
The food is homemade and tastes great!
Everyone goes for the same reason, the food is as authentic as you can get. Steak burritos and Horchata are to die for.
Food and service was fantastic, some nice authentic street food. Definitely go again.
Fresh, authentic, delicious and reasonably priced.
Good Mexican food. Simple some outside seating. Its a taco stand that makes good food. What more do you want?.
I liked all meats and loved the corn tortilla nachos. The hot sauces are awesoms.
Fresh ingredients. Authentic Mexican food! Try this place out.
Great, simple and authentic tacos for $1.50. Try the red sauce *they are $2 now.
Fantastic food, fresh ingredients and very tasty. No better tacos in Woonsocket! Best damn taco place in northern RI.... Period! Thats all I have to say about that. Mic drop! Still the damn best. Carnitassssssss!
The ceviche tostada was delicious. I want to go back for another one.
Great food, good service, quality ingredients, if you want to taste a real mexican food, that is the place
4 people ordered after me and got all their food before my order of 1 single item so either my order was given to a random other or just horrible service
Love this little taco place. Good food at a reasonable price and always friendly.
Great vegetarian burritos and food in general is great.
Food is excellent and the people working there are the best. Everything is made fresh in-house from scratch and so much effort is put into absolutely everything you order.Burritos are my favorite, but the tacos are awesome as well.
Wonderful people selling delicious food. Stopped by on my way through the area. Fast service, food is amazing. Highly recommend!
Great little walkup roadside joint on Social Street in Woonsocket. I stress it is a Joint...no linen napkins for those looking for that haha. You are roughing it but it is very worth it. Had 3 hard shell tacos for lunch and they were absolutely great. Its hard to find hard shell tacos in the NE...everyone does those wrap things. Very authentic Mexican menu...much in spanish and the real deal. No inside dining but there are picnic tables outside. I sat in my car and ate, because the tables were being used by others and it took me back to being in East San Antonio at similar places. They do menudo on Sundays. Its that authentic and supported by the local Hispanic community, which is great. Recommended
First time trying them and was pleasantly surprised. Delicious and very polite . Empty plates and full bellies. I will definitely be back !
Passed by going to a friends house and had to stop on way back. All 3 of us got different tacos as we figured be easier to eat on way home. Food was excellent. They have a place to sit and eat outdoors and very busy while there. Cant wait till next time in area want to stop and get the steak burritos. I heard from my friend they are excellent. If in area and hungry stop in and sit down outside and eat in your car or take home for dinner. Great selection and variety of food.
My favorite burrito take out. So glad to have these guys locally to feed my cravings with delicious burritos. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for some great food and quick service.
Most authentic Mexican food in New England that I’ve found so far. I’m from east Los Angeles so I’m a fairly good judge.
Great tacos! Very fresh ingredients. Friendly staff. Easy parking in their lot. Good prices as well.
Sorry for the low review but they are not like before!Got a ""VERY SALTY"" cold cheap 5 pieces of steak burrito with noting but rice a ball of white "cold" cheese and sour cream. No pico de gallo, nothing!
Best authentic Mexican food in Rhode Island hands down! I will drive an hour out of my way to get their food and it will always be worth it!
Awesome authentic Mexican food . It doesnt look like much but it is a definite must go.
Grew up thinking this was the best Mexican food in the world, unfortunately I have since moved out West and have had a real taste of Mexican food unadulterated for the American pallet. Don Nachos always has a place in my heart and I always try to make my way out to Woony because it really is the best in the area. Great service. Fresh ingredients.
Pretty good authentic tacos and yummy tamales too!! But I bought a Mexican coke and didnt receive it tonight and wasted my money on that..
Guy at the counter was friendly and helped me with my order. Food was delicious. The hot sauce was spicy but didnt have a ton of flavor. Ill be back.
We got a ton of food for $9 each. I had the quesadillas which had a ton of cheese and my friend got a huge burrito. The man who served us was very nice and the wait was very reasonable.
This is a little roadside shack making delicious food. I ordered a plate of nachos Al Pastor and a carnitas burrito to share with my wife. The nachos were a different presentation than Im used to. The tortilla chips were covered with cheese and seasoned meat then that was covered with lettuce and tomato with some grated cheese on top. The burrito was very large and delicious. Quick friendly service. There are some picnic tables to enjoy the feast.
OMG Taco 🌮 Tuesday in Rhode Island. We were out in the Ocean State on Tuesday. I said hey guys let’s grab some tacos. I jumped on Google search 🔍 and found this hidden gem 💎.Yoooooooooooo the taco’s hit the spot. The chicken 🍗 was seasoned to perfection along with the steak 🥩 , ground beef, and Chourico.Jorge and Anthony said their burritos were BombBomb 💣. I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of their burritos 🌯. By the time I got in the car 🚗, their burritos were half-eaten.
Tacos Don Nacho is the best Mexican food spot in Rhode Island. The quesadillas, tacos, and nachos are all fantastic and come with a ton of meat. The extra hot sauce is also really good, definitely recommend it if you like your food spicy. I would also recommend the Horchata. This place is a must-visit.
We are new to the area, and while looking for new places to try we found this gem! Loved the food and amazing service. Quick and delicious! Definitely recommend!
Im only giving them 5 stars because there are no more stars available to give them. Hands down the best nachos Ive ever tasted in my life. The burritos are so big that if you need another one, you are out of your mind. The service is mad quick, you make your order and within minutes its ready. Hands down the best authentic Mexican food in Rhode Island!!! Its truly a hidden jewel.
i ordered three tacos from door dash, and i got 6. with a note that says “hello! your food was made twice - taco bell”. this made my day :)who ever did that super sweet
My partner said “hey let’s stop for some tacos, I know this little place”. We stopped and I ordered 2 steak and 2 shredded carnitas tacos with everything. I chose flour over corn. It’s nice to be given a choice! For 8 tacos total, it was $24. They do take card payments! Always a plus.Overall, they come on a paper plate with foil wrapped over them. I did enjoy them for lunch. I enjoyed the green hot sauce on the side. I wish my steak was not as chewy and on the drier side, so I took away a star. But overall, I’d order some tacos again if we are in the area!
Bomb little joint!Good portions and fresh on the spot. Come here if you in Woonsocket looking for good local eats. Fair prices and not long wait.
We stopped for a quick lunch, and it was worth it. The staff was friendly, the food was very good, and the prices was worth it. We definitely went back 😊. If your ever hungry for tacos, you really should come try these out.I recommend the tacos de miaz con carnitas.(Corn tortillas with steak, Cilantro, onion, and lime)
Went here over the weekend. They are your typical street taco. Nothing to write home about. If youve eaten 1 street taco youve eaten them all. Meat was not dry. Tacos came with 2 tortillas though they werent overflowing to warrant the extra tortilla. The service was the biggest issue. We waited, which is fine. good food takes time, but we received our first order, ate it, placed a togo order and received that before another guest in our part received her 2 tacos she ordered. It wasnt overly busy. They also handed our to go order off to someone else, which was fine because we knew them, but they forgot to charge us. We proactively paid and they were like oh... oh ya! Forgot about that. We drove 70 miles to this place. I would not make the special trip again, but if I lived locally Id go back.
Burrito was enormous and they didnt skimp on the meat. Ceviche was excellent. Only issue was that there was no hot sauce in the burrito or on the side. Probably have to ask for it.
Unbelievable quick stop for amazing authentic mexican food. The Chorizo is my go to option, but they have a selection of meats. The tortas are amazing. The bread and the salsa are exquisite. The nachos taste fresh. They sell Jarritos. Also, they have a nice picnic area in the back with partial shade and a nice green overlook. Wonderful lunch date destination.
If youre looking for something like taco bell style tacos, covered in cheese and all that. Skip this place.Don Nachos is 100% authentic Mexican. The real deal. Great homemade salsas, perfect meats, tortas, burritos, ceviche, tamales, menudo on Saturday morning. Its lit kids. Dont sleep
It is an amazing, authentic, taco experience! There is nothing fancy going on, you get your tacos wrapped in foil on a foam plate, Olive the expense in detail poured into the ingredients in the flavor! Make sure you get the hot red sauce it is amazing!
I am so happy to have finally tried this place. We spotted it driving home through Woonsocket but never went. My daughter tried it with friends from work and kept raving about the burritos. She was right they are huge and delicious. The owner is such a nice, friendly guy too! Yum!
Delicious and authentic food, cheap. Its one of those places you wish you went to sooner!
Good service, good food and prices. A big plate of nachos and chicken cost 7.00. Worth checking out at least once. Kind staff as well
Always a great place to visit w/2 locations. 1 in Woonsocket& 1 in Central Falls. A little Mom & Pop Place with Authentic Food, Friendly Service & Great Affordable Food! Try The Tacos- 3 for $5.00- those pork ones are great! Nice flavor & no spicy heat! I prefer the flour tortillas- (soft tacos), which cost a bit more-$7 & change, but is worth it to me- they come on corn type tortillas normally. I believe I have tried an enchilada there at the CF location as well as the tacos & it was delicious too.
If you tell me your going for Mexican, then you know my love of tacos and chimichungas. Dont you tell me taco bell is far better or Ill kick you in the shin. I got my chimichunga and a tounge taco yessss I said it and damn it was interesting. If your willing to take the drive to Woonsocket then check this place out and decent prices also.
I was disappointed with the tamales I ordered. The masa was flat and didnt have that delicious fluffy texture that masa gives. The filling was okay didnt have the most flavor. The cheese was scarce a ton of lettuce and I barely could find the sour cream. I had to douse it in hot sauce for flavor. For $8 for two tamales I dont think I would go back.
