Tacomania - Mexican restaurant in Cusco, Peru
Delicious tacos and enchiladas! Highly recommended
Great enchiladas!
Been there twice. Great food.
Yum! Loved it, really good food!
I am very certain this place gave me food poisoning
Top tier diner! Mexican-Indian fusion in Peru sounds a little absurd but this place makes it work. Ate here twice and both times the food was plate-licking good! The room is small but colorful with lots 1950’s-esque pop art on the wall. The curries are great and the enchilada is nothing short of legendary. Highly enjoyable to sit and eat in!
So delicious! Very reasonable prices with very high quality food. The area itself is very small (can fit maybe 15 people total with a tight squeeze). The carne asada burrito and tacos were incredible & the Pisco Sour was pretty good.
Absolutely delicious. We tried the tacos and burritos and they couldn’t have been better, reasonable prices and very friendly owner. It also came with homemade guacamole and pico de gallo. Just a quick warning they only accept cash.
Slappin tacos! Highly recommend. Wow! Amen👏
Cannot recommend this place enough! Some of the all time best tacos Ive ever had and the owner is a super cool guy! While we didnt get the chance to try the Indian food, it sure smelled and looked amazing as well! Welcoming atmosphere, bomb food, what more could you want?!?
Great tacos, great samosas and great mango juice
Great Mexican food, its new called Nicks but appears to be the same owner.
Amazing Mexican and Indian dishes. We came back twice. The tacos were delicious and the burritos (just now). Highly recommended. Veggie food was great too. Really good value and the host was really friendly. 5*
A hidden gem with the best tacos I’ve ever had! Everything is so incredibly fresh and delicious
Literally the best tacos Ive had in the most authentic setting. The staff was kind and humble. Definitely worth a visit when in Cusco
This is a combination indian and Mexican place run by a white guy. That is already alarming on many levels. Came in for indian food as i didnt know these are the same place. Saw the tacos being prepped and left.
Went back 3 times in 2 days. Best food i’ve had in peru. A little hidden gem, good vibes, get tacos and enchiladas. 100% recommend!!!!
Best burrito Ive had. Everything freshly made and super cheap. Definitely recommend a visit when youre in Cusco!Great music as well.
Everything was fresh made from local ingrediants. The best samosas Ive ever had along with the most delicious burritos. The tortillas and sals were freshky made and were outstanding. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling in Cusco.
English speaking! TacoMania + Nicks Food Co! - After time spent in Mexico, owner/chef Nick has spent 10 + years purveying Mexican food in Cusco! I caught up with Nick hand rolling Mexican Tortillas for the days offering! Fresh is always Best! And ya gotta check it out! Just down from Green Falafel!
Tacos freshly made and delicious! A bit too much lettuce overtop
Tacomania Cusco is also The Curry House Korma Sutra and Nicks Food. I went for the curry. I got the mushroom tikka which came with rice and some onion-tomato salad and pickles. It was really delicious. The combination of Mexican food and Indian food in the same restaurant might seem odd, but go and enjoy some good food.
Great tacos! Best in Cusco!
Best option Ive found for Tex-Mex style food in Cusco. You dont come to Perú to eat Tex-Mex, but if you live here sometimes you just want a little taste of home. Tacomania has that. Try the chili con carne nachos and the Carnitas Tacos. Both are delicious. A hidden gem just a few minutes walk from the Plaza de Armas.
The lunch special offers you 1 burrito with 3 options to choose as a filling. If you choose from the main menu, you get more options for fillings and 2 burritos which was way too much for me. When requested to choose a filling from the main menu also being ready to pay extra for it and just have 1 burrito, the staff refused the request. Burrito is not something that can be stored and eaten at a later time unlike a pizza. I am not sure what the restaurants problem was to even consider the request.Although the staff was not rude I found their behaviour a bit inconsiderate as it felt like wasting food seemed more appropriate than assisting with a request which could have been possible at an additional cost. The entire experience was a little disappointing as I had read good reviews about the place and ended up leaving without eating there.Hoping the restaurant reconsiders their policy.
Fantastic place! Spacious seating. Good, well seasoned food. Friendly staff. If you are craving Mexican food in Peru, this is a great spot to enjoy some!
Good lunch special at a very reasonable price. Only complaint is that it was a little dry and could have been easily remedied with some salsa or pico de gallo.
Even if the portion is a little small and it is just a bit expensive, all food is excellent and they have good vegetarian options. The staff was nice and the decoration is colorful.
Nice food overal! Friendly staff, portions arent that big and the burritos are not really burrito because you need to make them yourself.
This is the best Mexican food in Cusco, maybe all of Peru!! The staff are fantastic, the food is amazing, and the prices are reasonable. You get chips and salsa with your order, and you can customize your food. Great veggie options for us plant based adventurers!!
Very good alpaca fajitas that was shared by 2 people. They provide chips and sauces, which were delicious (and very spicy). Staff was friendly and quick (only ones there).
Went during the week on a quiet night. The alpaca fajitas had amazing flavor, especially when I added a touch of ají limó for a spicy kick. Friendly staff and good vibes.
Good value for the lunch (15soles cv. 4.4usdone drink, burrito (see photo), and one ice cream (not that good). We asked to swap the dessert for an starter and they accepted. We had nachos. The waitress was really nice and gentle. The decoration is nice as well.Didnt try other dish.
Nice Mexican restaurant🤗
Although the chicken and pork options were flavourful, they were incredibly dry. In addition, a bit of pico de gallo on each dish (instead of making the customers choose between that and guacamolewould have gone a long way. So close, yet so far - 4/5.
The place looks very nice. I ordered a menu for 15 soles (5€/$and was enough. A burrito with some rice and vegetables with guacamole.
Very nice food. Really enjoyed my chimichanga with chicken mole filling. Good size serving too. Came here as I received a 10% off card from dining the previous night at Curry House Korma Sutra which I enjoyed too (same owner).
Best Mexican food Ive ever had hands down. The Mole Poblano and Alpaca Fajitas are otherworldly. Very humble owners. Price point for two with drinks is 100 Soles but well worth it!!!
ProsNice atmosphereComfortable temperatureThey have vegetarian optionsEnvironmentally conscious with the use of glass water bottlesGreat chips and guacamoleHave a free appetizer plate with chips, guac and salsaConsCash onlyOn the expensive side (27-30 soles per dish)About the food:We ordered the veggie nachos and the refried bean burrito. I enjoyed the tortillas for the burritos but felt that they were under-stuffed. I was still hungry after having two. The nachos were different from the traditional with chips and cheese over a soupy base. Interesting. Definitely a comfortable place for tourists who are looking for something familiar.
Delicious lunch platter for 15 soles with veg options. Included a drink and postre. Very good Mexican for Peru. Stylish restaurant and super clean. Friendly staff. Loved it!
This is authentic US style Mexican food, if I can put it that way. The meats were cooked just right and the sauces were bursting with flavors. Watch out for the pico de gallo, it was deliciously spicy last night. Prices were very reasonable, ~$10 per plate and the servings were not too large. Service was a little slow, but that made for a nice relaxing visit.
Nice vibe in the restaurant, good service & the food was decent. Fajitas were a touch small and too thick so it made it difficult fold and eat them like they should be. Otherwise worth a visit!
Food was good, i had enchiladas, my friend had burritos. But they were absolutely unföexible to changes, even small ones as adding black beans to the mushroom filling. Or having one burrito with meat and one without. Shouldn‘t be that hard, especially since we said we can also pay a bit more for it.
We went there for dinner and the service and food was fantastic. I saw 3 women chefs in the kitchen and it made me so happy so I hope that’s the going theme for this restaurant. Salsa was super spicy but guacamole was great. Will go back tomorrow for nachos! Also great prices!
One of best Mexican restaurants I’ve been too, the stuff is super friendly and the ingredients they use very freshLoved the tortilla soup, the tomatoes they used were very tasty
Great tacos! The food arrived fast and the service was good. Also very nice with a consistent theme throughout the restaurant.
Fantastic food. Healthy sized portions. Great spicy sauces to compliment the food. Very nicely decorated place. Overall a great Tex Mex restaurant!
Great value food and big portions. Get your Tex mex fix here!
Best restaurant in Cusco! We come here at least once a week. So far we have tried the nachos, burritos and enchiladas, all are great and big portions
This place is great. Huge plate of empanadas rice and guac for 25 Sol. Love it, delicious.
