Taco Stop in Ponca City

Ive always loved small businesses like Taco Stop, because of the close knit workers, remind me of a family kitchen type of atmosphere.

I remember when this used to be Taco Grande back in the day...after all these years the food is still the same & as good as it was back then 😋

Best taco burgers ever!! But it still bothers me that that they spell quesadilla as Casadia. And their hot sauce is not hot, at all.

I visit this place every time I return to Ponca City. Food and service is always great. I do miss the self serve taco sauce since it is good enough to drink on its own.

I was in there earlier today and noticed that nobody in the kitchen wore gloves nor washed their hands between order and that concerns me in all the years I’ve worked in a restaurant business the kitchen staff were always required to wear gloves when working w food and we are in a deadly pandemic! And it concerns me more that nobody else was even concerned! I also had to wait 19 minutes for my food and I was there before the lunch rush I decided not to eat it after all as it was cold anyway and I had lost my appetite

They dont skimp! Lots of food at a good price. And very friendly folks, too!

Use to go here almost every Tuesday as a kid. Now I take my kid and we all enjoy together. Amazing food!!!!

The business for an eating establishment is clean, the food was good, reasonably priced, came out in good time and the employees were polite and friendly. I will definitely return.

There was a mistake in my order but I didnt tell them because the people at my table said "Well, you talk so soft they cant hear you" lol. It was good anyway! 🤗

Good food at a reasonable price but the $0.10 per cup of salsa per item is a little ridiculous... been going there for over 20 years and never had to pay extra for my salsa....

Great alternative to Taco Bell. This place is always pretty quick, clean and the food is consistently good. Never had a bad experience and eat there quite often.

The food is friggin amazing, Ive never had anything even remotely like it!!! It is 100% absolutely worth a longer drive if youve got the time!

Food is generally 7. Normally quick place to grab Mexican type food, not fine dinning but good. Found out yesterday under new ownership which explains why call in orders are taking so much longer than the time predicted. Need to separate walk in orders from call in orders. One person doing both. If you standing in line to make a order and someone comes in for a call in that cash register person; has to stop get the call in person name, go get the ticket, ring up the ticket, take the payment, take the ticket back to the people making the orders, all the while you are standing in line to make you order.Twice in the past week I had to stand and wait 20 to 30 minutes past the time I was told to be there to pick up the order (which I was was told the order would be ready 20 and 15 minutes)

Growing up used to eat here all the time. Changed owners food taste a little different but the inside made great improvements.

The food was horrible. Ive had better food at home that Ive made. They put the same taco meat in every item on the menu. Its not even real meat!. Its so bland. Its not like I tried one thing also I tried 3 different things on menu! My wife had the same thoughts. Were not going back ever. VERY DISSAPOINTED.

I dont like leaving local business bad reviews so I tried eating here a couple times, quite frankly these tacos arent for me. The meat is bland, unseasoned, and just not good. The burrito wasnt much better, the cheese on the tacos was ice cold, not room temperature or even slightly warm but ice cold. I tried eating here before owners switched and after and its relatively the exact same. Front end service leaves much to be desired, brutish and indifferent towards the customers, no warm welcome or inviting atmosphere. Not completely terrible but not enough to say it was a good experience.

Love me some taco stop. About once a month I have got to go in and have the two cheese enchilada dinner. Its really great since they added the extra room. And they have really good ice in their drinks.

We love stopping by here when we go through Ponca City. Great prices excellent food great environment. Couldnt find a better 🌮 joint anywhere else and Ive tried plenty.

This long time establishment was a staple in my childhood. Happy to see it lived up to my memories. Staff was friendly. Food is still delicious and extremely affordable. I highly recommend the Sancho with chilli and cheese.

This was my 1st time to visit this place. I had been wanting to try it after seeing it on Discover Oklahoma tv show. I had the meat sancho covered with chili & cheese & 2 tacos. Food was pretty good. Would definitely eat here on a weekly basis if I lived in P.C. Good prices as well.

My absolutely favorite place to eat ever! They have great prices for a lot of food. Their Frito chili pie is the best. I recommend it to everyone! 🤗😆😀😁☺

Love it just absolutely love it went all the ways to Michigan New York and Canada and all I can do is Compare Food to Taco Stop but came all the way back from the Ponca city Oklahoma just to have Taco Stop got to tell you it grows on you

Old school home town taco stand and we loved it. The line was 15 deep but we were greeted warmly, served quickly, and the food was great.Definite go-to for super casual Mexican.

I love this place! I buy their taco sauce to take home its so good, the regular isnt spicy just FULL OF FLAVOR! Staff is super nice! Great place to eat what i call American Mexican!

A local favorite for lunch for at least 39 years. Occasionally, we stop in at night. Usually very busy at lunch; but they take care of orders quickly. People are willing to circle the parking lot on their busiest days. Past owners son manages it now. Employees stay for years. Love their expanded eating area. It makes it so much nicer to meet friends for lunch; although many of us call in orders to go most of the time. All the food is good, hot, and prepared after its ordered.

Wonderful food and incredible customer service. I love their sancho burrito with chili! They have also recently remodeled and added a bunch of seating. If you’ve never visited taco stop, you need to stop in ASAP and give it a try!

Legendary. Just absolutely wonderful plus a huge yummy Taco Salad is less than $4 and thats even adding sour cream. No where else can you get a meal so big you cant finish it for less than $4. Plus they do NOT skimp on the cheese. They really load it up. Its a staple in Ponxa City for a reason. Amazing food and the people are so friendly/efficient. Bravo!

Very fast service. Great food everytime. Not really the friendliest staff sometimes but nonetheless, amazing. Nice dining area thats always clean. Nice clean bathrooms and nice family environment.

Im shocked people enjoy this place. Seriously?! The food was bland, and Taco Bell does a better job with presentation. Unfortunately I had the experience of using the restroom, and the toilet was cleaner than the sink. 0 stars should be an option.

Ive loved Taco Stop since I was in grade school over 35 years ago. Im all grown up now and tho I live in an area that has hundreds of restaurants, TS is still my all time favorite.The name has changed but the service and quality is as extraordinary as its ever been.My only complaint is that its not open enough! I dont get to go often since its only open during the week but if theres any reason I can go to Ponca City during the open hours you can bet Ill be there :).
