Mexican standards like enchiladas and tacos, plus margaritas, dished up in a casual, enduring chain.
Hope you reopen soon in Greensborough much missed.
Pleasantly surprised with our meals. We had the beef fajitas and the slow cooked beef quesadilla. Both were big servings and very tasty. Only issue was that the guacamole was not enough for the entire meal.
Great atmosphere and awesome food. We will definitely be back for more tacos and tequila!
Food was quick and staff were friendly.Overall a touch bland and not all that exciting.
Terrible.. definitely in our top 3 of worst take aways..Broccoli, cauliflower and carrots in fajitas.. what the..? Was more akin to a stir-fry! Quesadilla was a soggy tortilla schlop..
This is the place that you can always come back. Being a regular customer in the last 2 years. Food is great, Beef combo, Mixed Fajita and Beef Quesadilla are always delicious. Free sombrero with Panchio Villa, oh that is win win (although they only have the traditional colors sombrero right nowfruit tingle and illusion won’t let you disappointed, but my favorite one is Caribbean dream, so so so nice!!
Went to taco bill greensborough tonight and was really disappointed with the food we received, everything was just poorly plated and presented and had to ask for simple things such as cheese or guacamole when they are meant to come with the meal, my family and I usually love taco bill and have never had a bad thing to say but even from the service from the blonde girl tonight was appalling, the only thing that stopped us from walking out was the sweet girl with the black hair that said she was new, bless you and I hope you get some recognition because your the only positive that I got out of my dining experience here tonight, won’t be back.
Ordered take away tonight (Mothers Daytold they have no seafood and can’t get any!!!! Chicken in chicken nachos was horrible, spicy and disgusting, the other meals we ordered were inedible, gross tasting food, standards have really dropped will never buy from them again.
Restaurant was empty and they refused to seat us, very poor customer service. Staff looked bored and uninterested. Wont come here again even though I love Mexican food
Taco Bill has been around for many years there food is amazing its super tasty and will leave your mouth salivating and wanting more set in the heart of greensbrough the staff are friendly and will greet you with a warm smile and a friendly hello so come on down and enjoy a meal put your feet up and enjoy
Recently ordered takeaway. The meals were delivered exactly on time so it was a promising start. Meals were on the small side for the money and while the home made guaca tasted good it was around a dessert spoon hidden in the middle of a tray of lettuce. Seriously guys. The entrees and mains were OK but the chocolate mousse was inedible with a bizarre overwhipped glutinous texture and a bitter citrus flavour. A disappointing finish to a pretty average meal.
Very tasty dishes. The staff is very friendly and service was fast and efficient. Good place for Mexican food
The service and food quality is really good, any location is greatJust very disappointed by the "taco club" where it claims that you will get a free meal in your birthday month, cake and more and I came to this location on my bday and none of this applied because apparently you need to get a code from head office and some complex process that does not specify in the websiteDo not put those things in your website if you cant keep the promise, very disappointed
What a joke. We called to book this Taco Bill venue to host our birthday party, and we signed up for Taco Bill Membership beforehand because we were promised over the phone and online a free cake in your birthday month. And then, after our meal, the waiter told us we couldnt have this birthday cake for our party. We had to provide "an email with a code from head office". Why didnt they mention this over the phone? And where does it say that in their website? It doesnt. What a way to cater to a birthday party. Absolutely appalling.
nice ambiance and nice people. 🥰 love the foods..
Dreadful. Our meals consisted of items that were burnt, smelled and tasted weird. Thank goodness it was $15 and not full price. My daughter has cooked and served in hospitality and picked the meals were microwaved immediately. This place has seriously gone downhill over the last year - not surprised to see it has changed mgmt. I feel so sorry for the serving staff. We will never eat here again.
I had never been to a Taco bill before and I was looking forward to it, but never again :( Raw taco shells, pulled beef was full of grissle. Most of what we wanted to order was not available. We were asked to move our pram (with babyaway from our table because it was "in the way" even though the restaurant was empty! Over priced and sloppy food, not to mention everything was grimy.
Should have gone to Fonda.Half the food on the menu wasnt available. One of the waiters was a bit rude (just the one guy, the girls were friendly), the place hasnt been renovated since the 80s or early 90s.
I have taken my family for dinner last Saturday. It was fantastic and in particular the kids loved it. Highly recommended for family and friends.
Wheres Gordon Ramsay when you need him???A necessary public service announcement - Your main meals are microwaved!I dont like leaving negative feedback but this one takes the cake.We thought we would grab a bite at Taco Bill Greensborough on Friday night for something different as we heard the restaurant is under new management. The waitress was friendly and attentive and we ordered two taco entrees, two mains with a side of chips and two pear ciders. The tacos arrived on one plate - no plates for us to use so we had to ask in order to share our individual meals.I ordered the mixed enchiladas and my partner ordered the Burrito bowl - the mixed enchiladas came out on a scalding hot plate and was microwaved. It was tasteless and the meat fillings were pureed to the point of looking like mush and zero texture. The chips were hot but soggy and tasteless, although the Burrito bowl was okay. When we asked for the bill, it came out in a black restaurant bill holder which was dirty, greasy and has seen better days.I felt like asking for a pair tongs in order to view the bill. For the quality of the food, we felt we paid way too much for $80.00.The highlights of the evening were clean tables, plates and cutlery along with the Burrito bowl and pear ciders. As for the rest of the food, it was below average and to the point of looking worse than pet food.Sorry guys, but we will not be coming back to your restaurant.
Main meals didn’t come out together, the food was bland and VERY clearly microwaved. Only thing that made me stay after first bite was the margaritasNever again, do not recommend.
Service was friendly.Food was good - drinks were a lovely suprise we went on a Thursday night and it was buy one margarita get one free!!
Service was friendly enough but the pulled beef was a bit dry, salty and lacked flavour. The taco shells tasted like they came out of a packet but hadnt been baked. I didnt finish my meal and left with a sick feeling in my stomach.
My kids used to love coming here, but it has gone downhill. Even the chips tasted bad. Tasted like theyd been cooked in old oil. Kids wouldnt touch them. Meals came out at different times. On another visit, their was 6 of us and meals all came out about 10 minutes apart and one of the kids meals was missed...apparently given to another table
Absolutely amazing. Best taco bill I’ve been to. Incredibly friendly and attentive staff. A waitress by the name of Amber was sensational and always glad to help. Highly recommend!
Feedback from a former staff member:This Taco Bill underpays and mistreats their staff - definitely not a place that I want to support with my money!! High staff turnover since the new owners took over and the manager hardly even speaks English. There is no hygiene or Work Health and Safety awareness at all. Gluten and gluten free items are fried in the same oil and mouldy chocolate mousse is sold to customers. the serving sizes are tiny now and I felt awful handing those meals out to customers. I often wouldnt get paid for days on end and had to argue with the manager, if you can call him that. The coffee sold there is pod and home brand coffee and the cheapest alcohol is used. No proper cleaning procedures in place!! My advice: Go to any other Taco Bill but not this one!! Waste of time and money and will most likely make you sick!!!!
The service was great. Its just the food thats average. It seems to me like they need to update their menu. I know its a mexican restaurant and how many ways can you really combine refried beans, slow cooked beef and salsa. I had the combination and I was surprised it didnt come with any sour cream. Im sure the staff would have brought me some if Id asked, but thats not the point.I personally prefer Salsas or Guzman y Gomez. Its just tastier.
After 30 plus years of going to Taco Bill, Greensborough Toco Bill has destroyed all those good memories with one meal. I was not impressed with them compared to Clifton Hill and the City store, which I frequented since I was a Uni student and later introducing my children too, but at least their meals could be eaten.Today I ordered a meal (Enchilada Nuevo Mexicowhich I have had over 50 time. My first impression was that the egg didnt look correct. I poked it a few time and couldn’t get my fork through it. My first thought was that it was over cooked, as it was rubbery and hard. As I brought this up with the waitress, I started to try and cut into my enchilada (which was also rubberyonly to find the inside was cold. How one can overcook and egg, but have a cold enchilada is beyond me.I understand that meals have some form of pre-preparation, which was confirmed by the chef (The enchiladas are pre made that day), but the egg was claimed to have been cooked at the time. This would have been impossible based on the fact the rest of the meal was cold.At no stage did I feel that they felt apologetic, and were more than willing to just give me a menu and ask me “would I like something else instead”.How a chef could let a meal like this out of the kitchen is beyond me, instead deciding to just blame it on some faulty equipment. I am more likely to believe that the meal was prepared the day before (egg includedand put into a microwave for too short a time, maybe even reheated more than once.I have had bad meals before, but at least they had the decency to provide a discount rather than an excuse. Will not return to this Taco Bill restaurant.
Foods good here, but the service is average (at best)... half price margaritas on Fridays is the only reason it gets 3 stars and not 2
Absolutely awful since the new owners have taken over. The waitresses are nice but the new Asian owners keep staring at customers while they eat. Have been there three times and a young child is running around between the kitchen and the dining room throwing things and screaming and was sleeping on a piece of cardboard. I asked the waitress who it was and they said it was the owners son and they dont speak English so its hard to communicate. The female owner also kept walking between the kitchen and the dining room wearing her apron.I was watching their TV while waiting for my meal and they changed the channel to some kids show at 830pm.The food was okay, nothing special.
Extremely poor experience. Not the first time either. Taco Bill Greensborough USED to be an amazing restaurant however unfortunately has gone down hill. First of all, the customer service is nothing but poor. In an empty restaurant with roughly 8 other customers, it took a very long time to give an order, followed by receiving our meal last in the restaurant even though we were one of the first for the night. No water provided, also had to shout across the restaurant to finally get the attention of the waitress (which so obviously ignored us). The meals were worse. We ordered tacos which were drenched in oil while the Mexican rice was nothing but bland, notably lacking the traditional ingredients such as capsicum, served COLD. Quote the waitress “they were too lazy to add [capsicum, flavour etc.] in, sometimes they do sometimes they don’t”. Not only this but the waitress also blamed another colleague for producing an incorrect meal however she was the one to take the order. The salsa was also incredibly spicy. The poor performance of service and meals has been obviously shown by the lack of customers in the restaurant. They began to turn the lights before anyone had left, implying they wanted us to leave.IF ONLY I COULD ATTACH IMAGES OF THE DISMAL FOOD
Went in and stood by the door for 10 minutes for staff to direct us to a table, then after we finished selecting what we wanted to order we waited for around half an hour for someone to take our order, waved at staff but were ignored until I finally went up to a staff and they came and took our order. Reading everyone elses reviews on here, I am honestly not surprised that they all had such a bad experience at that restaurant as well. After we ordered, we waited for SOOO long that they gave us 2 additional complementary nachos with sauce. Eventually when the food came, not everything was given to us and the food was very bland as well. We were really looking forward to eating there but everything went so bad and I went home with an upset stomach.
In a word..."Terrible"! I actually took a photo of the contents of my meal. I ordered a chicken & beef frajita. It consisted of 1 teaspoon of tiny pieces of cut up avocado, 2 small slices of red capsicum, 1.5 cut up roma tomatoes, approx 1 cup of wilted lettuce and 1 cup of the chicken and beef. For this I was expected to pay $20.There were 5 of us that ordered this and all of us were shocked. I firstly complained to the waiter then the 2 chefs who I might add were all Chinese and couldnt speak English. We checked the menu again to find that there should have been spanish onion and when I queried them they stated they forgot !I stated we would only pay $10 for the meal. All 5 of us who had the frajitas ended up paying $10. I will make it my business now to contact Taco Bills HQ to discuss the matter. It appeared the other 9 people were satisfied with their meals.
Filthy menus, had to wave down a waitress to order, one meal missing and came out after everyone had finished only to find a dead beetle under the meat. Totally discusting, would never go back !!
Waited about an hour for our food to come after ordering, didn’t show up. Went to counter and they pulled our order from the completed stack. I’d get better service from my pet goldfish.
New owners I’m guessing had three phones handbags on table n were rudely told no no no going out for a smoke then asked for another drink at 9:05 pm and was very rudely told no were closing up it’s not busy and worth them being openAbsolutely disgusted in the service and the nachos were a sloppy gelopi will never return to the Greensborough restaurant n my word of mouth for them is severely negative massive thumbs down I rate them minus 100 stars!!!!!! Poor service to customers equals no business eventually..............
My enchiladas came out like a big sloppy mess. The beans did not look appetising at all. The margarita was good, the sticky date pudding was dry and had minimal sauce :-(
One hit and one miss. The seafood plate was very yummy....We will be back.
Our visit last night was very disappointing compared to a year ago. My wife had the burrito supremo that had no flavour and huge chunks of tough beef. She couldnt finish it and gave it to me and I couldnt eat it either. My beef quesadilla was no better. They have lost the quality that they had a year ago.
Staff were nice but when asked for a meal to be super spicy we were given a few extra mild jalapenos. Not bad other then that.
What a shocking experience , we went to celebrate my grandsons birthday ... Adults waited over an hour for their meals and the poor children had to wait over 2 hours for their simple food of 3 nuggets and chips (really... we even cancelled one childs order because everyone was finished and that meal still had not come .... I bought a jug of slushies drink, and before I finished the jug , the staff took all the glasses but left the jug (I took pictures, I couldnt believe it ... There was one lovey waiter , (young tall blonde guyhe was brilliant , checking on us, keeping us updated on our belated food , apologising ... the only good part of the evening was the care this waiter gave . ... the person I think was the owner pretended not to understand English ... hmm ... the restaurant it self was over crowded , way to many tables for such a small area ... but I think the biggest issue is , how do they let little children wait so long for food ... I was truly shocked .. my advice , do not take children here , its for adults who like to drink .... one patroon even pushed my daughter who was holding her 11 mth old daughter . he pushed past her touching the baby to move them out of his way.. the food was ok I guess except for the wait .... I still can not understand in all the times I have been to eat I have never seen children left to last ... shocking truly shocking
Food is bad, flavourless and watery. And they try to charge you more for drinks than what is listed. Then blame it on "bad English." Either dont go, or if you must, check your bill!
Margaritas were bitter, one main came out at different time to the rest and the place looks run down. Food was good if had have came all at once.
The staff are all really lovely, and of course the food is nice. Great for large groups or parties as well. Conveniently placed next to the railway station as well.
Food was not up to standard. Service was rude I expected this not to happen to me being D.Burden what can you do. Tasted like off sick and mushed up food reheated. I can see the young folk can drinks to drown the food but its not a good way to go.
Pretty good for the price, we usually use the supermarket dockets to get 2 for 1 meals as it can be expensive for what you get. Lots of people seem to order the fishbowl Margarita because you get a free sombrerero. They have a variety of specials for each day of the week (ex Sunday)Monday & Tuesday - $15 Main meals,Wednesday - $3 Tacos & 1/2 Price Margaritas,Thursday - 1/2 Price Margaritas,Friday - 1/2 Price Margaritas,Saturday - $20 Pancho Villa Fishbowl Margaritas.
Please wash your plates and work on food hygiene. We dont all want to get drunk here, wish i did so I didnt have to taste the food. Staff were lovely just up the quality. Went home and spat bomwee out so hard it burnt! Will wait for improvements....
Used to be amazing. New menu has half the stuff crossed out with perminate market. Chicken enchilada only had left over roast chicken in it with no sauce or anything but chicken. $14.00 for a tiny side plate of nachos even though they are depicted on a large Dinner plate on the menu. Prices have gone up, size and quality has gone down. Very disappointing.
Gave this place a second chance tonight 8 Jan 16 after a ordinary experience 3 months ago.BIG MISTAKE!!!!!The food is really ordinary tasting. Microwave packet meals from the supermarket taste way way better. The venue was really hot and like someone had the thermostat set to 26 inside!!!!The seating feels like you are sitting on rock hard concrete and feels awful. The worst part about it is the food is so very bland tasting and the staff are quite strange (in the way they keep loitering and coming around and constantly as in several times asking "hows the food?" like they know its sub standard. What would one say anyway?.its crap lol you wont get it for free.On top of all this its expensiveNOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL !!Also look at the stupid template standard reply from owner. .... BORING!
This is a busy eatery, with consistently good meals that far exceeds the taste experience of packet mexican. It is served hot and in a reasonable period of time, the meal sizes are quite large without being excessive. We are regular customers and that speaks for itself.
