Taco Bell in Nanaimo

Food was hot and delicious. The drive thru boys nailed it. Asked for hot sauce and the fella hooked up at least 20! 10 out of 10. Thank you for the experience- Barry

No dine in, no washroom, no sour cream, no ice, got my order wrong

For the food, this Taco Bell gets a 5, but for service, a 3 at best. Our food was super hot and fresh, except we asked for regular mtn dew and received Baja blast, not the worst thing but a little annoying. The line moved very slow. When we got to the speaker, 2 people were trying to take our order at the same time, so that was a little confusing and unorganized. Then, when we got to the window, multiple teenagers were giggling and messing around while our food was just sitting there, they had to be told to hand it to us and stop messing around. I’m thankful our food was delicious and perfect after reading these reviews. I guess it is worth a try if you have time to wait!

Never open any more for drive thru or dine in. Hours say DT open till 10pm but it closes at 5 with the rest of the place.

Said they werent serving taco bell and were only serving KFC. I hope there isn’t a worse Taco Bell, unreliable and weak food (when it’s available)

we drove all the way from victoria for crunch wraps, it said the drive through was open until 11pm and it was closed :((

This Taco Bell is the worst I have ever been tooI drove all the way up from Victoria just for TacoBellThe bathrooms are closedThe Dining Room is closedThere is only one way in or out which means you have to walk through all other customers if there is any.I ordered 2 Beef burrito supreme combos with supreme fries.I would say the staff here need proper trainingThere was no beef or tomatoes or cheese on the burritos, there was no beef or tomatoes on my supreme fries.There is only 4 out of 8 choices in the drink dispenser.There is no Ice and all the drinks that can dispensed is warmer then my burrito.I have been to many Taco Bell in Alberta and this is the worst one ever.I would suggest not to waste your time and or money.I was charged 22.96 for incomptant food and service.I would say the TacoBell and KFC staff need to know putting your hand inside a bucket after it has been on your head is not very foodsafe to the public.There is no reason for the bathrooms or dining room to be closed except for laziness in management and employees

Theres no meat on my beef tacos just meat sauce I just spent money on old shells and meat juice no wonder its emptyEdit: The manager did give me 2 new tacos after I called and drove all the way back hopefully the kitchen does better.

This place has gone down hill fast you can only order food through the drive-thru and they change the price of the veggie chicken burger to $10 each u used to pay that for the meal so when I went there with the family paid over 70$ for just 6 burger and fries

Hours are incorrect. This is never open. Idk how the owner just doesn’t give up and give the franchise to somebody who can actually run it efficiently. Rookie!

Absolutely horrible management,if your closed post it,if your only serving chicken and nothing else post!When my son and I look forward to taco bell and drive 25 mins each way cause it says there open,We assume there open.This keeps happening again and again!!!,At the very least post your actual hours of operation,enjoy the food when open but this location is horrible.

Did not get our order right even 10%, received items that were not ordered. The taco received was half empty. Poor quality, poor service

Worst taco bell I have ever had. Fries supreme was a little cheese and sour cream, with what I assume was a few crumbs of meat. The wrap or whatever it was, had same thing with a little lettuce and tomatoe, but it was more sour cream and cheese than anything else. If I wasnt as hungry as I was I wouldnt have eaten it...

Ordered 11 tacos...took forever to get to the window at the drive thru...then they said they had run out of beef for all but 6 tacos? Isnt that sorta like running out of chicken at KFC? It seems they also spread 1 tacos worth of beef into the 6 tacos they said had beef. They were very "skinny"...and it was akin to eating crackers...if your outta beef then your outta beef, dont try to stretch it...what a joke!

Honestly, WHAT IS THE POINT?? They are almost NEVER open, and when the restaurant does actually allow cars to crawl through the Drive-Thru, the Taco Bell side is closed (KFC only).Astoundingly inconsistent, its like they WANT to drive customers away.Isnt this the only Taco Bell on the island? Come on man, get your s*** together. Pay yr employees enough to properly staff the joint, clean it up (!!!), open the bloody seating-area again, and just do it right... or shut it down, and stop openly failing.

Its a taco bell on the island. Try getting a chalupa without the ferry. Go ahead try it. Oh, are you chalupaless? Ya you dingus, there is only this one! 5 stars

Great tacos and the crunch wrap supreme was delish.

I have only been to Taco Bell twice, so please take this seriously; Once in Ottawa and once here in Nanaimo.The cheese sauce you use at this location is unrecognizable. I was so shocked at how different and worse everything tasted as a result. If you changed this one aspect I imagine the food would be on par with other locations.

Theyre not even serving Taco Bell here anymore, on top of barely being open at the drive-thru for anything else. Talk about cheap and lazy franchise owners.

I called to ask if they were open as all the chairs were stacked on the tables. They said they were, but drive through only. I asked why I could not sit and eat in the dining room and they said "Because ise it is not allowed!" and hung up on me. Who does that? It was a simple question.I decided to order a pizza from the restaurant on the other side of the parking lot. They had great customer service. KFC could take some lessons.

Don’t waste your time, have gone countless times to find they’re closed when it says they’re open, went recently and given cheaper items than what was charged, has gone far downhill the last year, food quality is horribleWent tonight to see sign saying today only open 12-7pm what do you know they now have an automated message play at the order box stating they’re closed when it’s 6pm, won’t go back, hope this place goes under

Never open consistently with the times stated. They shut the restaurant down at 7:12pm with a drive thru full of people.

This is the second time I’ve driven from Victoria to get Taco Bell and they were not serving Taco Bell. The first time was 3 months ago. Don’t drive here if you live more than 10 mins away. Waste of gas, waste of time.

My partner and I have gone to get Taco Bell about 10 times in the last month and every time we go they say taco bells closed just for the day and that it’ll be open tomorrow. Yesterday same thing they say come back tomorrow for Taco Bell so we do and the entire location is closed. It’s literally closed 90% of the time yet they still claim that it’s open “everyday”

Apparently they have a staff shortage and periodically remove Taco Bell items from the menu and just sell KFC. Drove 20m to get some Bell and left with nothing. Lazy ownership, either pay more or be there yourself. Drive thru mic is so rundown it’s harder to understand than Charlie Browns teacher.The workers are good every time I’ve been there though, food comes out hot.

Fast service, nice employees. Nice crunchy tacos. For this to be the only Taco Bell on the island, quality is quite exceptional. Will be definitely coming back !

As a recently expatriated American, I knew the hardest part of moving to the island would be the lack of taco Bells. I wept tears of joy biting into the crunch wrap

Ordered Crunchwrap with my boyfriend, only came with lettuce and nothing else. We brought it back for our money back and drove across town. The manager proceeded to yell at us saying we removed the toppings before we came. She then grabbed our food and took fistfuls angrily saying there’s plenty. They refused to refund and said to come back the next day- we did and they declined a refund again and said come back three days later. Below one star customer service. Will not go back again

Literally trash! The line take for ever!!! The hours they post online are not accurate. Cold food, sloppy work. Literally just went through, they advertise taco bell open but they apparently don’t serve that at this time. And I get home to eat the food and there is a hair in it, honestly trash!!!!!

1 sign says open, 1 sign hours posted at drice thru says kfc only open taco bell closed, another one lists taco bell open every few days for a few hours only, last time we came they shut down with us still in line saying closing early. we dont come through nanaimo often but ww wont try them again even if we do. everyones struggling but be clear on your hours or more people wont bother trying le me

These people dont care about anything. They know you will come even tho they know they are running the worst taco bell in existence. I stopped coming here like 8 times and now Im moving off the island to another land with a regular taco bell.... They did not give us hotsauce so we asked and the girl literally gave us a dirty look and dropped 2 KFC hotsauces in the bag... I hope they go out of business soon..I dream of bean burritos.

Show up at 7:40pm to find it closed after driving across town, this is the second time now, don’t advertise open until 10 when you aren’t

I don’t think the staff is paid enough to care and it shows. If you’re folks are working for you during a pandemic make it worth it. Our order was wrong, took almost 10 min, and we had to give it to them twice. Hopefully these folks get better compensation and their efforts get better as a result.

The staff is nice. But the food was awful, even by Taco Bell standards. I asked for cheese fries, no chili. Got chili. The bean burrito was dry. Only the drive through was open and I wasnt about to sit in that line up again. Ive since taught myself how to make a home version of the burrito and will likely not return to this restaurant.

Awful experience everytime. Its either so busy you have to wait forever in a mass of people all fighting for a spot in line, or the taco bell part is closed entirely. Today was the fun two for one both a huge line to wait to see the sign that its not even open.

Food was decent.Its Taco Bell so Im not expecting Gourmet Food lol!They messrd up my order ,gave me 2 soft tacos instead of 2 hard .Not a huge deal but I could not get it corrected as the drive thru line was too long and the Dining area is completely closed(You cant go inside)

Went through the drive through as there was no dine in option(strike oneThey were out of a lot of things(strike twoand the taco bell side was already closed at 6:30pm(strike three). Will not be returning which is too bad. Couldn’t give a no star review otherwise I would.

Taco bell is drive thru only while KFC is both takeout and drive thru??? The bigger issue here though is making one staff member man the till, drive thru AND filling orders! I feel bad that I only saw one staff member doing everything because Ive been in the same situation before. It takes a toll on your health. Please do better for your employees KFC/Taco bell!

This is the commercial faux Mexican fast food restaurant. I love Taco Bell, but sadly it is very poorly executed in this location. In the US, Latinos make the burritos properly. You dont scoop the beans, rice and ground beef and make them distinct pockets in a burrito. You spread these out in a specific area and then roll. Very messy and poorly shaped final product with weird distribution of ingredients rather than a more homogenous distribution. The staff here need lessons in burrito rolling. Its like they want to skimp on ingredients to improve their profit margin..... This place needs a change of management. Really disappointed.

Got the locos tacos. Awful.. shell was completely soggy and fell apart when you picked it up. First one had just lettuce and cheese on it, no sour cream or tomato.... the second one had little bit of lettuce, tomato and cheese.. and an excessive amount of sout cream. The fries were cold and soggy. Sad when the donuts are better then their actual tacos..

Ok after reading the other reviews, I dont feel bad for saying that this was the worst steak burrtio Ive ever had. It was 92% lettuce/sour cream, 3% steak and 5% rice. It had absolutely no flavour at all. My girlfriend was excited to try the crunch wrap supreme and her meal was worse than mine. Id honestly like to know what good taco bell is like. I guess I may never know.

If I could give a zero star, I would. As everyone else has mentioned, servings are EXTREMELY small, and the soft taco with beef I ordered (this time)was laughable. About 1/2 teaspoon of beef filling with a sprinkling of lettuce. About 3 chomps altogether. These people are running this establishment into the ground. Have vowed in the past not to return because of their small sizes....this time I mean it. Oh, and dont bother trying to phone to complain....they simply do not answer. No way to give feedback to them. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Supreme fries from Nanaimo Taco/Bell location. Reality vs. Advertised. Don’t bother stopping, not worth the savings.

Alright.. I have seen some bad fast food but when you order the big bbq stacker and you get this...? The woodgrove one looks like its luxury.

I cant get taco bell in Victoria so when in Nanaimo I am happy to stop by. Food is warm and fresh, never had issues.The other bonus is the KFC in it as well so you can mix KFC and tacos

I cant believe that the closest one to victoria is about an hour and a half away in Nanaimo. Taco bell is amazing. The fries supreme is awesome and if this ever comes to victoria I will definitely become a regular. Combos are less than ten bucks and the hot sauce is really good.
