Taco Azteca Original Inc - Mexican restaurant in Glendale, United States
Some of the best tacos I’ve ever had and I’m Mexican! I Very easy to walk to. I just walked from my hotel over to the place. You won’t miss the bright blue color of it. Great flavor and value for your money. The tortillas are little on the weaker side and started ripping very easily. The meat was all delicious. I recommend the carne asada burrito and the Al pastor tacos. Make sure to ask for the red salsa too it is BOMB! I originally called to place my order over the phone. They told me in about 15-20 minutes the food should be ready so I get there in 20. When I ask for my order apparently it wasn’t written down and I had to repeat my order and wait another 15 minutes to get my food. Food is great and service could’ve been a little better! Spent $32 for 4 tacos, a carne assada burrito, and a big cup of horchata.
Some of the best tacos in Los Angeles. The only problem is the parking. Other than that great food.
Pre-order services need to wait in line like everyone else.
Really authentic tacos - first time in LA when I teasted a flavour tacos. Is full of mexican customers so thats how you recognise a good tacos place.
Best tacos Ive ever had
this place has the best chicken torta.
Delicious!! I ordered a quesadila for to go, I had about 1 hour later but it was still warming.
Very friendly TJ street taco atmosphere food is good parking not great but workable
the tacos are trash and they have water in them. plus have the meat is not even cooked. dont recommend it
The food is AUTHENTIC!! would drive from PHX just to eat there again
Great food at a good price. The pastor torta and tacos are must order
Best tacos and burritos i have ever tried in any city and i have tried alot i been going to taco Azteca for over 20 years if you havent tried please do so its Delicious
Assada Burritos are massive and delicous, love the grill fish tacos and the red salsa esta chingona! Love this place. Come aqui, dice el Escorpion Dorado! The Chicken is especially good.
The food and prices were amazing. Nice little spot in Glendale for sure!
Food was legendary, recommended by locals. I need a spot like this in Colorado
Pretty good tacos quick and fast service
Its not very good, there are few tables, the food, I mean, the tacos are a little more expensive, its ok, it has little flavor..
Best carne asada taco I’ve had!
Awesome food and great service, I love this place.
All meat burrito 🌯 is a good size. Prices are high.
Updated my review because i gave them another chance. And the food was much better this time. 4 stars. Original review.I gave 2 star today because I recently ordered a burrito and it was burnt and I asked for no onions and they put extra onions inside. The food is normally really good here except for today, worst burrito Ive purchased from here this year.
Delicious slow-cooked, almost birria-like al pastor. A gem of Glendale.
Its my go to spot for Mexican food. Tortas are amazingly deliciousUpdate 2022Got a small stubby burrito in my to go order. A lot smaller then I’m used to. Shrinkflation
Neighborhood institution that sells delicious Tacos that taste like your Mexican friend‘s abuela made them. Highly recommend!!
Great home made mexican food!! Carne asada burrito was delicious!!
Ive been coming here to have their food for over 20 years and I still love it.
Been ordering from Azteca for more than a decade now. I remember biking from Eagle Rock HS to watch football & basketball games at GHS or even to hang out with friends from there. Their mojado burritos are always amazing.🔥 Staff is friendly and they hook it up good.
I was craving a torta, and found this place on Google maps, so I have it a try, boy was I satisfied worth my order. The asada was cooked and seasoned to perfection, there was so much flavor I barely used any of the salsa...but green salsa was better.I will definitely recommend this place, a perfect hole in the wall, with great food.
The food is awesome, but the service is a little caustic. Bite your tongue and enjoy the food. Worth the effort. Else I would give this place 6 stars.
Food was OK. Probably good if you’re a high school student from across the street. The people who work there are quite unfriendly. Nowhere to sit. You are better off going down the street a bit to one of the taco trucks.
Good food, fast service. All To-Go orders at the moment. Phone call orders would be better and have someone drive you to pick up food. Parking is a hassle, thou lots of street if there is no school in session, or else you are SOL.
Hands down best Pastor burrito.. fast and great service. Parking is fine, learn to walk or know how to maneuver on the road. Will continue to eat here 2/3 times a week.
Employees are rude and deaf apparently. Sign says open. You go to the window and Employees literally ignore you. To difficult to say were closed I guess. As I walk away they look at me, dont act like you didnt see or hear me when Im literally a couple feet away asking a question. If thats the service, cant expect much from quality of food. They got zombies working inside. Very unprofessional
The best tacos in the area! The tortillas are slapped on the grill too and gives the tacos that much more taste! The meat is always juicey and full of taste, and the salsas are always fresh and perfect! Most attentive staff too! Been coming here for over 25 years!
Taco Azteca has some good tacos. Beef, pork and chicken tacos were the best. However, they have a TON of onions in them. I dont mind the onions, but when they are being used in substitute for the amount of meat, I think that is cheating. Onion:meat ratio is higher than any other taco place I know. Overall a good taco spot. Its good, but with tons of taco spots in Glendale/LA, not sure if I would frequent again.Tacos - 4/5. Good, but the onion:meat ratio is a big problem.Tortas - 3/5 - Ok. Dilapidated bread structure. Needed to be cooked for longer.
This is an incredibly delicious hole-in-the-wall type place. Local favorite by the sounds of it from folks nearby and a place that lives up to that reputation. Not the mention, the prices are great! Easily some of the best burritos in the greater Los Angeles area. You can never go wrong with thier regular burrito (I like to add cheesewith an imported bottled coke!
A favorite amongst locals. Food is not bad although not exactly memorable. Pricing is elevated here meaning a torta and 2 tacos will cost $20. Worth a try if in the area. As always to each their own when comes to taste. Enjoy!!
They have best food ,clean and delicious, good staff ,friendly, clean ,highly recommended
A great Taco spot given the location of Glendale isnt exactly known for Mexican food. Youll find the basic staples with some of your favorite choice of proteins. You wont be disappointed with the food if youre hankering for some tacos in Glendale. My only gripe was that the chicken Quesadilla was 9 bucks (which didntinclude anything else with it). I find that to be quite high for a small stand such as this.
Missing sour cream even though it was asked for- twiceWay too spicy burritoAnd I’ve had better fish tacos. This place used to be good. Not so much now.
Kudos to whoever made our burritos today (Friday noon). All ingredients are packed right and tight. Both edge are folded well. It is one of the best. Thank you for making our stomach so happy :)
I used to love this place, but then the service got bad, I get its corona and a lot of people are ordering tacos. But its not ok to forget my burrito and then yell at me for not looking inside my bag before leaving. I asked for a refund because Ive seen the old spit routine for offenders. God bless them, even if after 20 years I will never return.
My favorite Taqueria in Glendale Ave is currently closed during the pandemic. However, ever since I discovered this place, there is no going back. They serve the best Tacos, Burritos, and Quesadillas. They even have Lengua! Not all Mexican places have those.
They gave me the wrong items i ordered over the phone. Instead of having plain quesadilla and 2 plain asada tacos, i had 6 tacos. At first I was okay with it cause its just food but i have allergies when it comes to spicy food (thats why I ordered in plain). All of the tacos have that spicy sauce in them. Unfortunately I cannot eat them and had to take anti-allergy medications cause i bitten half one of the taco. Also, when it comes to the drinks, why do they charge it separately? Do you do that? Cause it happened to me twice already. Kindly explain. Please be attentive with the orders next time. Especially orders with special instructions.
I drove here and got no help after them telling me I had to order on the phone. Called and the woman pretended not to hear me besides the fact that I was standing on the street literally looking at her and she hung up. Well there are plenty more taco spots. As a first time costumer, and seeing the reviews I was excited to get some good tacos. NOPE RUDEST COSTUMER SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN. Yup this is how far I was 😂😂
Theres always a short wait at this place. And for good reason. Once you try it, youll understand. Im working my way through the menu and its all fantastic! The tacos come with the usual onions and cilantro; you add radish, lime and their amazing salsa to suite your taste. Dont let the brightly lit yellow shack deter you. You can eat there at one of the lil tables or take it to go and make a real mess. Its all very reasonably priced. Im not recommending it, but Ive seen people from all walks of life here and some will try working on their Spanish with the very friendly staff.Parking can be challenging, but I usually find a space down one of the neighborhood streets or park across the street. Theyre next to a street-light controlled crosswalk so its super convenient.
Awesome tacos and burritos! Friendly service, as well. Highly recommend.
The tacos are small and delicious. Nothing fancy, just really good meat and traditional toppings. The quesadilla was to die for, its a different version than Ive ever had, but it was amazing. Try a little of everything, you wont very disappointed!!!
This place is horrible! Why??? It will make you want to try it frequently after the first time. Try the various meats its so good! It gets addicting, especially since they have fresh grilled jalapenos and it is a good value. If you go early enough youll see them cooking fresh and know its not like other places that are serving old, reheated food.
Taco Azteca is the go to spot for authentic Mexican food. Made slow but served fast. Staff is friendly and eager to serve. The prices are slightly higher but the taste and quality and quantity makes up for it They are open late which I like because its hard to find a place to sit and eat late at night. It would be five stars but it has no public restrooms .
