Table Rock Summit Trailhead - Hiking area in Greenville, United States
An absolutely amazing trail. If youre a seasoned hiker, this would be a moderate to dofficult trail. Its all uphill, with just a couple of straightways. If you have bad knees, know that what goes up must come down. And its all down! Would highly recommend hiking poles. Always carry water. Dog friendly. Restrooms only at the start of trail.
Multiple trails. Lots of outdoor entertainment options. Beautiful and fun place.
A lot of great hiking trails. A few are strenuous and are uphill. Be prepared, take water, snacks, and even a whole lunch. The summit trail is around 5-6 hours to complete.
I finally conquered this thing. Its a challenge and a half. Come prepared with extra water, snacks. Theres a shelter about 2 miles up thats a good spot to take a break. After that, the trail smooths over a bit, which will lull you into thinking youre closer than you are. But, the last mile and a half are the some of the most challenging parts. After you reach the summit, youll descend about another half a mile to get to the best views.
Foliage very pretty but visit was short because walking was involved. Pretty lake.
A demanding hike, but the views are well worth it!
My guys took me here for my birthday. We had a great hike in the rain. Had wonderful family time together. 🥰
Absolutely beautiful. Park is very well groomed and maintained
The Table Rock trail is very beautiful but make no mistake, it is a strenuous hike. Wear good shoes and bring plenty of water and snacks. Those afraid of slopes (Govonors Rockmay want to skip this hike.
Pinnacle Lake Table Rock State Park. Nice swimming area.
I havent been swimming in 4 years and I swam on Saturday at Table Rock State Park. It was very clean and everyone was very respectful. We rented canoes and ate ice cream while others fished off the bank away from the swimming area.
Had a great time here enjoying the lake. You can rent paddle boats or kayaks. Theres also a great playground and picnic area.
It was a strenuous hike at times but beautiful at the top.Cooled off in the lake after. Will be back to hike Pinnacle Mountain.
VERY STRENUOUS hike to the top of Table Rock. It’s straight up the whole way. Took everything I had to make it. Awesome views at Governor’s Rock and then the face of Table Rock(remember to hike past the summit to get to the viewing area). The Ridge Trail will connect you to the Pinnacle Mountain Trail, so you don’t have to walk all the way back down to the bottom and start over. I ran out of water and took Mill Creek Pass to Pinnacle Mountain trail, so I could filter some water. That trail, on the way back to the visitor’s center, will lead to the Currick Creek loop, which is an AWESOME trail that meanders next to and ACROSS the creek. The creek has many waterfalls and places to wade/splash around. In my humble opinion, this was actually the highlight of the hike, because it rained and the water was flowing heavy.
We hiked to governors rock it was quite a hike but well worth it
Just beautiful. Get off the phone and go hiking. Nature is calling you
The folks at the trail head office are very helpful and friendly. The hiking trails are beautiful well maintained. Views are breathtaking.
Great hiking trails... from short hikes to long ones. Beautiful views
First time here in 10+ years. Looks like I remember. Still a nice place. Enjoyed our visit. Will return. Highly recommend.
Beautiful and peaceful. Fishing is a little slow. I only catch and release, unless I get something big. Just enjoy the nature and quiet.
Loved it! We did the 2+ mile trail loop that follows the water for the first half. Even at the end of winter/early spring, it was AMAZING! Kids splashed and slid in the creek. It was beautiful and well marked. Will absolutely be back!! Highly recommend!
Great trail and well maintained!11/13/21
Climbing this stairway to heaven exposed one the most beautiful foliage walks Ive taken this year. Starting with the cascades, working my way through the boulders and staircases to the bare rock heights. Making music magic.
Difficult hike but definitely worth it! The views were amazing.
The place wasnt easy to get to but they were very kind and helpful. The scenery was gorgeous and so peaceful. It took more than 3 hrs to get there but so well worth it. Everyone should go there st least once in their life.
Great hike. Great views at the top and a nice challenge.
Love the park and the trail. Its a great place to go and swim, hike or hangout. Youll be sure to see some wildlife.
Awesome trail. Definitely on the difficult end but your average person should be able to knock it out in 4-5 hours. If you’re in shape, I’d allocate 2.5-3 hours (not including time to take in the sights. Overall, the view was worth the hike.
We went to the visitors center and got our day pass there. The man behind them counter was very nice and helpful and gave us a break since we had a large family. Also he explained how to get to the west gate entrance where the playground is with a pavilion and thats also where the hiking trails start right behind the nature center. we ate lunch by the picnicking table at the playground. My boy caught a few fish on bread there at the pond and the children went swimming along the carrot trail. Makes great memories. Well be back
The Table Rock summit trail is a fairly intense hike with obstacles to negotiate. 3.6 mi to the summit. Suggest swallowing a liter of water before beginning and taking at least 1 more for the hike up. Don’t worry you won’t have to pee bc you’ll be sweating profusely all the way up to the top. We spooked a 100 lb baby black bear 2/3 way up and he thankfully ran off. There is a false summit about 1/2 mi from the top. Most excellent view at the top. It’s just beyond the TR Summit sign about 1/4 mi. Suggest packing a lunch and enjoy the view at the top before heading back down.
Wonderful place to go hiking. The Table Rock Trail in the Pinnacle Mountain Trail are both hard trails to hike. The Carrick Creek Trail is easy to moderate. Staff is always very helpful and a place with a beautiful wildlife. They have a lake for swimming and fishing, cabins, rental canoes and all sorts of other cool things to do.
We usually go to Paris Mountain for hiking. We tried this trail today and it was fantastic! More difficult than Paris mountain and the views were fantastic. If you get to the summit but keep going to the 2nd rock, then look towards the middle left for a beautiful waterfall. If its quiet you can sit and hear it. Beautiful park. Just keep in mind there isnt cell service at the check in cabin, so if youre meeting anyone be sure to have detailed plans before you get there. Cell service picked back up about a mile up.
Hiked to Table Rock from Pinnacle Mountain. Great view from the top but the last .75 miles are quite challenging.
This trail is a clean well-marked trail with a breathtaking view at the top. It took me less than 2 hours to get to the top, and I stopped and took plenty of photos. Its 3.5 miles to summit.
This is a hell of a hike. I followed the Pinnacle Mountain trail and was met with an incredible view with only a fraction of the people that the Table Rock trail had. Strenuous but easily worth it.
We hiked the Pinnacle Trail all the way to the summit. It was marked as "strenuous" and I would definitely agree. There were some pretty steep angles, especially at the last bit before the summit, but the couple viewpoints near the top were absolutely worth the hard work. This was winter, but I look forward to hiking it again in the summer and fall to appreciate the added color.
We did the Carrick Creek trail. This is such a beautiful trail. My husband and I went with our 6 and 8 year old boys. We went end of November and the temperature was perfect for hiking. The trail does have a couple of steep edges and I would rate it an intermediate trail, but it was doable with our kids and they loved it. They also have different trails that you can choose to do. Each one has different difficulty and time to complete. We definitely want to come back to go through other of the trails. They also have lakes that you can fish at. Really nice and beautiful.
This is a great place to hike! It seems to be a little under 7 miles total round trip if you go all the way to the end of the overlook. It is pretty strenuous so plan on around 4hrs or more. If you are a decent hiker you can go up around 2 hours and get back down in a little over an hour. Bring some water and snacks.
Beautiful trail! It is difficult, take plenty of water and go slow going down.
The 2 mile Purple Trail goes around the lake. Gorgeous views but dont be mislead by the "easy" rating posted. As seniors we found it quite challenging but there are several benches where we took short rests. Bring lots of water! The restrooms are up the hill from the parking lot. Lots of families were in the lake when we went. It was Service Dog friendly but dont bring your pets. We had a great experience.
Moderate to hard hike. Great views of water falls in the begining and great views of the vallies and lakes up top?
This part of the trailhead is absolutely beautiful! Little waterfalls scattered all along the first part of trail. At first junction we went left and discovered so many waterfalls and creek crossings. It was nice and shady we continued to Bald Knob, I believe was the name but its a pretty good hike. We were too tired to go over to Table Rock, so cut off that part of the trail and ended up on the trail we started on.Lots of birds and wildflowers. Its a popular area. Spectacular view on Bald Knob.
Be sure to enjoy the views on your way up to Table Rock State Park, and to hike up to see the waterfall.#Jeep #JeepGirl #JeepLife #JeepWrangler #SevenSlotSisterhood #SevenSlotUnited #SCJeepAddicts
Beautiful, beautiful hike! We did the table rock summit trail and the first 2 miles were pretty much straight up. We made it up in about 2 hours and came down in about 1.5. There were several incredible spots to stop and take in different views. It may be a strenuous hike, but so worth doing. We saw several families with young kids doing it too. Definitely take 2-3 liters of water (and drink itand some snacks or a picnic lunch. We didn’t get to do many of the other trails, but we definitely plan to!
Gorgeous place. You can easily access the falls without too much hiking. Easily accessible pools. If you do not want to take the trail loop turn around once you reach the end of the paved path. The majority of the falls are before the trail actually begins.
Awesome hike! Just make sure your dogs are kept on a leash, but otherwise it was a great hike and kept up very well!
A beautiful area and the most arduous, challenging hike weve ever attempted. We only made it a little over halfway, but we hear the view is amazing. This is not a trail for inexperienced hikers like us. We definitely suffered for a couple of days afterwards.
We love this place. My wife and I started coming here before we got married, and now we bring our children. We try to come at least once a year if not more. It has beautiful trails with some absolutely gorgeous scenery. If you think you might enjoy it, I promise you will.
Absolutely amazing place. Cannot wait to go there for camping next.
I took one of the smaller trails and had an amazing time, the park is very clean and the trail is amazing. I loved all the water falls
