Not work friendly as they claim it to be! If you dont order enough in the time there - theyll find a way to kick you out.I have visited on many occasions but on this particular occasion, there were no spaces at the window to sit and use my laptop so I sat on a sofa. After 2 hours of being there, they told me I could not use my laptop because it was a laptop free zone. I explained that there were no spaces elsewhere but they were adamant. The reasoning was that someone had once dropped coffee on their laptop on the trunk in front of the sofa. Makes no sense because my laptop was on my lap and I would.not be using the trunk/ table for my laptop which was about mid calf level. And I wonder how coffee and laptop combination works at normal desks based on that reasoning? They also did not suggest I sit anywhere else. Seems like the real issue was I had only had one coffee in my two hours there but youve now lost out on multiple other coffees I may have had in the future. On all other occasions I had also ordered food and lol and behold never been kicked out despite sitting in laptop free zone with my laptop. Seems to be the trend noticed in other reviews too.Not the best experience on this occasion.

Really lovely space to relax in. Coffee is great and good selection of food - sandwiches, healthy salads, smoothies, and cakes (including vegan options!). The seating is really comfy, much nicer than many coffee places. Best of all the staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful, even when it gets busy

TY is a lovely space with plenty of seating to read, chat, or get some work done (loads of sockets to charge your devices). it gets busy, but doesnt feel too loud or chaotic. Ive also consistently gotten delicious oat cortados that havent split. I wouldnt go for almond milk though as that has been hit or miss for me here. the prices are a bit high, but totally justified imo as theyre attracting a crowd that will sit in for a while thanks to the abundance of charge points and strong WiFi.I do wish it was a bit more vegan friendly! there was only one savoury vegan option (a saladwhen I was in for lunchEdit: got hit on a few times by one of the employees and it was quite uncomfortable and I ended up having to leave. I found it a bit unprofessional and would appreciate it if management would discourage this kind of behaviour.

Nice place to work/read. Sometimes music is great sometimes is too loud... staff are very friendly. I like sit in the corner and people watch.

Used to be really good. Coffee still is reasonably good (if overpricedbut ambience has changed. I guess too many people sat around on laptops for hours (that always seemed to be the clientele the owners were courting). They removed the tables upstairs: it’s not easy to eat in a low arm chair (unless you like food spilling on your clothes, or falling to the floor from the arm where it is perched). Food offerings not as good as before either, and the service is perfunctory at best. Also, I know what ‘overnight oats’ are, but I don’t want them served up ice cold in a plastic cup. And the music... Fortunately, there are always alternatives in central London.

Great atmosphere and quality baked goods, but we were disappointed that third wave/specialty coffee shop only has drip coffee and espresso—especially when they sell v60s and have a choice of beans. Offering a pour overs or a better brewing method would be simple fix that would go a long way.

Cozy coffee corner, comfortable decor, some customers are so relaxed as they are enjoying a nap. Spacious and not rushing. Cold brew is worth a try. Coffee was just right

Good place to come if you just want to stop and watch the world go by. Its a popular place and prices compare to the area but if you are lucky you can find a window street on to the street. Even has plenty of plugs for laptop users and there is no pressure to move

Have a coffee dont order a poached eggs or anything from the kitchen it is a total mess. The eggs are hard boiled the bread is hard and too big making the poscheg egg even dryer. The bakery is ok, nothing especial. Maybe you should only go there grab a coffee and leave because the rest does not worth it.

Great staff, great coffee. Try the Ethiopian beans. Seating can be an issue inside as there are a lot of people working here. But seating on the bench outside has higher turnover and is usually nice spot to watch passerby’s walking.

Can’t comment on the experience of working in this coffee shop because I’ve only stopped by for their coffee (which was great!!), but it was very busy and filled with people typing away on their laptops.

Decent, although busy coffee shop, good coffee and variety of quick food bites. Additional, slightly tight working space on lower level if you are freelancing, free wifi. Theirs coffee comes with bottle of water and matcha late is fantastic, delivered to your chosen seat if you find any. In general you get what you paid for.

As a digital nomad myself, I am looking for a good co-working place to stay in London, and I check this the first time and it turns out a good experience. I enclosed my review report for those needed.Category: Artisanal IndependentWifi: Reliable and fast, free to useSeating: Comfortable chairs and sofas(Very handy and many people will occupy the seats so it is much better to go there earlier for a good seat)Power outlets: There are almost one power socket near each table and quite convenientToilets: Two for unisex downstairsAmbience: There are lots of remote working people here, busy but quietly, so you will get right to work easily. And they play quite a lot of rock music (actually good background music to avoid falling sleep). But you will smell the food upstairs since they offer hot meals (feel distracted sometimes).Surroundings: 3 mins walk from Leicester Square(China Town), so you could find a lot to eat for meals after hard working.Access to Transportation: very convenient and close to metro and busPrice:The price of coffee and the brunch are a little bit higher than normal chain coffee shops definitely, but the coffee tastes good and there are very diverse brunch dishes to choose.Average cost: £3-£12Something Special:They provide meeting space and event space for hire, and the media room could accommodate 1-12 people with audiovisual facilities (free to use if needed). Normally, it is cheaper to hire before 10am. And the price varies from £50-£120 each two hours with vouchers for redeeming the food and drink in the shop.Awards: winning the accolade of Best Independent Coffee Shop in Europe late in 2014Address:7 Upper St Martins Lane, Seven Dials,London, WC2H 9DLOpening Times:Mon-Fri 8am-6pmSat 9am-6pmSun 10am-6pmPeak Time: 12pm-3pmGenerally, it is quite good workspace for digital nomads in the central London. But you have to get there earlier for the seats since it is very handy.

As a cafe it may not be your aim to be a workspace hub, maybe you would prefer customers to stay for around 1/2 hrs and move on with their day. However, this is what TY became and I loved working here and enjoying the lovely treats by the till. Please please turn the music down. It is distracting and unnecessarily loud.If you want to be a cafe with loud music then find other ways to discourage being a work cafe. If I was you I would enjoy that people love spending time here and giving you return business. On the other hand, the staff has always been lovely to me and the food is indulgent.

Went on a Sunday, the coffee is still good and staff friendly, the way the furniture is configured allows less communal joined by good coffee feeling that it used to have. Was full of antisocial people on their laptops - it was more like being in a miserable library or on the London underground than a coffee shop - if you like a friendly atmosphere I’d avoid this one.

Ive been in this cafe numerous times in the past 2 years. It had a very calm and cozy atmosfere. However, my recent visit after a long time didnt leave a good impression. The music is way to loud for a cafe (and the play list isnt good). Plus, it would be great if they could take the feedback and actually lower the volume down.Food and coffee has always been good at least...

Very cute place! Can get cramped during peak brunch hours, but overall our experience was great. Sadly they were out of salmon, but we got the avocado toast with poached eggs and egg and it was delicious. The chili oil really completed the dish! And of course, there were generically instagrammable gorgeous lattes.

Lovely quirky place in Covent Garden to have a coffee and just chill out. Youll almost always see it packed with people, but now I understand why that is - the coffee, food selection and service is amazing! Even though there are always people there, most people are usually on their laptops doing work or together for meetings - its not too loud at all, in fact its the perfect environment with chilled vibes and great music. The matcha latte there is so good, too! Most matcha lattes Ive tried always have so much sugar but its great that TY dont add any. They have plenty of seating downstairs if the ground floor is full, along with a restroom and charging spots, so a perfect place to chill for a few hours to get some work done. Definitely my new favourite coffee spot!

Seven Dials has many good coffee spots, and TY is definitely up there as one of the top ones. Its also a cafe that you can work at - they dont mind people spending all day on their laptops at their cafe, or using it as a meeting space. Because there arent many places like this around, the cafe is always packed, so you may need to wait before you find a seat!

An ideal place if you come to sit and read or work on your laptop, but almost always full. I came with my friend thinking to have a coffee and talk, but both floors were full of people on laptops, so I got the sense that its more a cafe for working than for chatting. We did manage to find adjacent seats on the couches downstairs. The leek & potato soup was good, but the flat white had a sour aftertaste, which I didnt like. The tea came with a timer to tell you when to stop steeping it, which was a nice touch.

Cool vibe, fresh cakes and decent tasting coffee. The only reason I am not giving them a 5* is because they are fairly expensive and couldnt make a cappuccino - I ended up with a warm latte. Although it tasted nice, it was not what I wanted.

Great coffee and cake. I ordered to batch brews from Kenya which were very nice and well made. The cake I ordered war the gluten free peanut butter and banana bread. Which I can highly recommend. This place was full of people working away on laptops can I can see why the WiFi was fast and the place was cosy.

Cozy cafe perfect for working on pc or doing some reading. Dont be surprised of the number of mac users :There are space also downstairs with more comfy chairs. What I didnt like is that they dont have a menu board so you have to ask for what they can make. And you have no idea about the prices...I ordered a cappuccino (£3.20and my friend filtered coffee (£3.10). To be honest, way too pricey for the quality. Both of us didnt like the coffee. The taste was too sour (Australian typefor us...But again, very cute place!

Great place to crash if you dont have an office, or cant be bothered to sign up to a co-working space. Has a nice selection of tasty, sweet & savoury foods, teas, drinks. hint: pick your place first, then go to order. Has a basement space as well, so dont be put out by the crowded ground floor. Staff is v friendly which is always a nice bonus. Internet available, if not the most speedy (2-4 Mbps)

A great choice for coffee lovers with various roasts available on espresso and cold brew.Cakes are a little expensive and within inches of the queuing customers which made me question the hygiene.Nice place to sit and people watch /read/work from your laptop. Also a great basement area for meetings.Beware the taps in the loos which can be scolding hot.

I popped in here today for a quick lunch with a friend and its a great, fun and funky coffee spot. The coffee is beautiful - an almost caramel-like hint and perfect for someone like me who likes their coffee a little sweeter. The food was great with a nice selection of sandwiches, frittatas, quiches and other snacks, plus a really good range of tempting cakes. The only reason Im giving it four stars instead of five is the price: I paid £9 for a piece of frittata and some salad which I felt was a bit expensive. Id probably come back just for coffee and cake, rather than lunch, but Id recommend it in any event.

Wonderful workspace. Quality coffee. Tasty pastries. Good attention to detail. However, it can get a bit cold and the staff, although lovely at the time of ordering, can be slightly rude when closing.Still, its pricer than your typical coffee, but also delivers.

One of my regular and favourite coffee stops, I usually grab a flat white and occasionally treat myself to a matcha latte which I love - so glad when they started doing a large version of this :)They have a good variety of delicious cakes on display and some savoury sandwiches as well.A cosy space but it is usually busy as most people use it as a workspace as well.

Timber Yards second cafe in town. They offer not only nice coffee and food but also warm welcoming atmosphere and cozy spaces, so its always very crowded here as people enjoy it very much. I would say the Soho branch is better for some quiet moment surprisingly as the Old Street branch is closed now.

Laptop club, but with impeccable service. Seems to be dog friendly as people pop in with their adorable little dogs. Ive never seen this place not packed out. Its very popular, and by the quality of the drinks and food, its easy to see why. The stuff is really nice and they take a lot of effort. Grab a coffee and a cake, a seat by the window, and catch up on emails for 30 minutes. Its a great atmosphere.

Laptop friendly coffee shop with friendly staff and nice, modern decor. It has a good advantage which is its late opening until 8PM which is great for those who want to work until later outside of the house. It can get quite busy though, but most people who are there are either doing work on their own or having meetings so its not very loud. They do proper coffee too and have a good food selection although slightly on the expensive side as to be expected from these type of coffee shops.

At first glance, it has a very simple and unassuming exterior and appears to seat very few people. However, theres an extensive lower floor segmented into a few different rooms. The coffee is excellent although a little pricey, but I would pay for a nice afternoon of work. The coffee is also presented on a lovely wooden tray with a thoughtful bottle of water. Excellent service and playlist!
