TUCK KEE RESTAURANT SDN. BHD. 德記酒家有限公司 - Cantonese restaurant in Ipoh, Malaysia
Special menu specially made by the chef. Contacted chef to recommend the dishes. Food wise it was above average, can taste it was made attentively. Food decorated by healthy spices such as sweet potato, making the food taste better & healthier. Chicken was boneless with thick meat catfish was fresh and good too. Ambience wise is good, price is reasonable with such portion. Parking wise better to pay as free parking isn’t available around. Customer service was good too.
Very delicious roasted duck, eventhough I do not eat duck.If you do not know what to order, the waitress will propose the best choice with reasonable portion for you.
The roast duck is delicious. Order the 东坡肉, the meat is so delicious and the tasty. Serve with the " man tou ". Serving time is quite fast even most of the table is full. And the signature noodle is recommended must try.
Yummy Ipoh food with fragrant ginger steam chicken, soup and tuck kee noodle to savour!
The food is a bit salty, but taste good
Food Was Delicious Fish Was Good Sweet Sour Pork Was GoodVegetables Was Good Prawn Was Fresh A Little Bit Disapointed With The Roasted Duck Char Siew Was Good
My first time here, everything is good. The chubby lady supervisor who took our order, she is very good, polite and she will tell you its enough portion for everyone even though you think it is not enough and wanted to order more. Overall the food is superb especially the roasted pork, its World Best.Staff are polite, service is good., restaurant is clean.
The food here has always been good and my family especially likes the roasted pork 叉烧烧肉combo. I also like their Chinese tea very much 😆 only downside is that sometimes you may need divine intervention for parking
Delicious food, great pork ribs
Food is delicious and its always a long queue. Staffs are well experience and service is good.
Came here on Father’s Day as my mom felt like Chinese food. The staff told us there were no table available anymore and luckily I had made a reservation few days before. We ordered Yang zhou fried rice(揚州炒飯), vegetable(吵雜), steamed fish (紅絲)and a some kind like braised pork belly with bun(燜五花腩).So at first we wanted the other fish, but then after a while the staff came back and told us that fish no more and left only 紅絲 & 金鳳魚. So then we picked either one, as they served the fish on the table, the fish wasn’t hot at all, it was only slightly warm. The sauce was good but the meat was super funny, the texture just like chicken breast meat, I mean it’s kinda hard to explain, I’m not sure if it’s the problem of the fish or the chef. The fried rice was disappointed me as you can tell from the picture, look dark and taste not really up to standard. The braised pork was not bad but the sauce was super sweet, I would not suggest it to those who is diabetes. The vegetable was the best in this dinner.Price was average but the fish really not worth that price. Maybe try out on the normal day would be better?
Our usual cny lunch place. Down memory lane took grandkids there. They said the food was soooo good. Prawns were fresh and big. All delicious and the staff were helpful. Tip go on a week day or night for a better dining experience.
Great:-Came here on Friday night with colleagues. Last time came was 2 years ago before MCO. Quite surprised there are plenty of carpark (Rm3in walking distance.-Food were great as usualTo improve:-Restaurant shut down and chase us away by switch off lights around 930pm. You can approach us friendly and remind us that you will shut down.
A traditional Chinese restaurant which caters mainly to the locals - its an institution here almost. We stuck out like a sore thumb among the locals who were all mainly senior citizens. But the food was good, delicious and well-priced. Go with the recommendation of the wait staff, theyve been around with the restaurant for ages and they know whats good here. The noodles are great, so was the dishes. Overall, a different taste proposition to the usual Ipoh fare and well worth the drive to a quiet housing estate.
Dinner. In nice small portions for us. Interesting claypot lettuce dish. Easy parking opposite.
A famous local restaurant for celebration
Big portion of wanton mee with duck drumstick soup ( ginger and Longan )Dried or soup per bowl at RM16.50
Will I come back? NOSuper efficient staffs, but dish serving time is long.Dish portion is small, the 雙拼 is over price, the portion is too small with this price, and wont have WOW factor taste.Other dish are salty, except the steam fish sauce is good, the pastry not too sweet, which we like both of the dishes. It’s full house on the night we visit, but we been seated without any waiting time, that surprise us.
Food was good. Slightly pricey. Do call up and make table reservation.
Food is good. Everything tasted nice. Steamed egg was delicious! 6 people with 6 dishes was rm200. Price is on the higher end.Parking is not so bad around the shop lots. Best to make reservations cause it gets full for dinner. Environment is a little tight. Can get very loud when its full from the Chinese crowed. There is a automatic chair riser at the stairs for the elders that has trouble walking up stairs. Can order in advance to get your food sooner.
I think this is one of the best Chinese food Ive tasted all my life. Super delicious ...we paid almost 600 for 14 pax ... We ordered their famous duck roast, pork roast, taufu, vege, chicken roast and Chinese tea. Place was super crowded .. waiting time for food was approximately 20mins.
The place was quite a premium place in Ipoh. The food was OK but personally I think that slightly overpriced and also the staffs are not friendly & quite unmannered. The portion of some dishes were not even as of the price. Rating was overrated.
Food just ok, roasted pork is nice. Heard duck is great but personally dont like. Taste for the package 2 sets ordered just feel so so.
Reasonable price and Good Food. Recommended restaurant and No Worry for tourist.
Small dishes like snacks before the meal will cost you around Rm10, depends on you. Everything dish is tasty especially the barbeque pork(char siu)
Overall so so."Sam ping" three mix, we order mid size yet the portion are little and not cheap.
Yummylicious dishes. Price is reasonable and waiter are very attentive
This place never fails to give their best. Good food and ambience. Roadside parking but across the street there is a RM3 parking lot. Can be quite busy, so do call for reservations.
Good restaurant-class food at reasonable prices. Excellent crispy skinned roast pork - a must try.
Foods okay. Not as before. Probably due to dine in just being allowed. Hope it could get back to how it was soon.
If you have guests from overseas or from another town in Malaysia, rest assured that Tuck Kee Restaurant (德記酒家would be an excellent choice to introduce Chinese cuisine to them. Essentially Cantonese style of cooking. Many customers throng there during lunch and dinner hours. There is much to choose and sample. Need going a few rounds to know the depth and varieties of food which make the restaurant so popular. On our recent visit there for a quick and simple lunch, we tried the fried rice and stir-fried lai bak vegetables. Fried rice was wonderful and palatable. The vegetables were crunchy being cooked to the right texture.Take note of the stall residing inside the restaurant, with a window to outside, serving premium quality roasted duck, roasted pork (siu yuk), BBQ pork (char siuand sausages (siu cheon). All are genuinely appetising. Customers can select those food to be served on their tables in addition to other food from the main kitchen. Outsiders can purchase their take-aways at the window. Well, the stall is immensely popular adding good value to Tuck Kee.
One of the best Cantonese restaurants in town. You should try when you are in Ipoh. They serve quick and well.Price is so reasonable for the quality and quantity. We were there for dinner and feel sastified. The only thing made us confused is the resraurant have no English menu. When we asked for it, the staff went inside then brought us a list of food on some A4 papers (looked like they just printed them out 😅and told us the price on the list is not correct, the real price will be less than 😅😅😅.Anyway, they helped out a lot, cause we do not speak Chinese.Appreciate it and highly recommended!
Interesting & delicious dishes. Service was excellent.
Good taste, wide variety, local favourite. We went here for reunion lunch, offering chicken, duck, pork and seafood. It has electronic chair to mobilize elderly upstairs. And its a favourite spot for spacious Chinese wedding.
One of the best Cantonese food. Taste quality always authentic
Portion for 8 -10 people for the 8-10pm CNY 1st day was very big. The quality of food at this time went down.
This restaurant has been around since the 70s. Recently making an excellent revival with modern exterior, efficient kitchen, modern well presented Chinese food, comfortable interior with cold air conditioning, good service. You can have a daily home style meal or extravagant restaurant quality seafood. Signature smoked duck is a winner as is their seafood soup (Hoi seen Kangin the traditional style as well as steamed Lam Koh Yu (fish). Definitely top 3 Chinese restaurant in Ipoh.
We come back for lunch every year. The dishes taste good and the price is reasonable. Must try the smoke duck.
Good service and food taste very good and portion is very big. Will definitely come back again.
We just love it. The food are delicious, they are fresh and tasty. The steam chicken is a must try. Sadly Im not good in naming the dishes but every dishes arrived is delicious and cleaned. LOL!Try their signiture noodle, is a must. Food arrived in good time and everyone was really enjoying it.This is a place Ill surely come by again as well as recommending my friends to come
Great place for chinese made to order dishes. The restaurant has 2 floors. All air conditioned. There are also electric chair to transport elders to 2nd floor. So the place is always full with families.
This restaurant serves very good quality and authentic Hong Kong/Chinese cuisine. Their signature dishes are smoked duck and roasted duck. Its get really busy on weekend, so be there early in beating the crowd. Highly recommended.
Decent food; their Ginseng Chicken Soup is tasty though a bit too sweet for my liking. The fish looks better than it tastes.
Popular spot, packed with large families sharing a large variety of dishes, Chinese style. We came as a couple and ordered a vegetable and a tofu dish that were both delicious. There was no English menu, apart from a poorly translated list the staff showed us that I feel was missing a lot of items. I think they didnt even have a menu in Chineses, I didnt see anyone holding one, as patrons are true regulars and know exactly what they want. Overall a good local experience but better if you come as a large group.
One of my fav tai chow places. Normally you can call up and let the chef know your budget for the meal, and then he can create a omakase-like menu for you. Do pre order their chicken rice & stewed pork knuckle! Roast duck is one of their specialty, however i think is over hyped. Their 上汤茵菜is very unique as well as there are bits and pieces of sweet potatoes & crispy pork lards in it. Normally the restaurant is packed, especially during the weekends, thus is better to call up and make a table reservation. They are open for lunch and dinner as well.
Food taste great, good service. stair lift available. Roasted duck/chicken/pork are delicious.
Amazing lunch! Very civilized surroundings to eat indoors with air conditioning. Professional, courteous and attentive staff. The food was absolutely perfect including the nuts to nibble on while you are waiting. An absolutely perfect dining experience. Try their signature tofu and roast duck
Food here are good especially the smoke duck and crab fried egg which is highly recommended. However, the food is abit pricey. Overall still good to visit and recommended to order their signature dishes. No menu provided, so do ask for the price so you dont end up with dissatisfaction.
Ipoh trip. Just accidentally popping in to this restaurant and find out it is 1 of overated famous in Ipoh.SERVICE 🌟🌟🌟Orderded its 烧腊拼盘 Mix Roast Platter and ask for its size portion from one of d fat lady captain as theres only 2 of us worry unable to finish it. She very sarcastic saying cannot tell how big is it after we refuse to order other dishes, and said it is RM30, sounds like we cant afford to pay for more.TASTE 🌟🌟🌟*ROAST PORK* skin is vey crispy but the meat a bit and chewy. KL pudu Dato roast pork is better.*ROAST DUCK* Meat is chewy too and not juicy compared to PJ Sunshine.*CHAR SIEW* Below average.*ACAR * This is the best I every had.ENVIRONMENT 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Service and food are both excellent. Price is also reasonable. Love their pork dishes and smoked duck. They have special mobile lift catering to senior citizens who have difficulty climbing the stairs!
