Sleek coffeehouse & bar for health-centric fare, coffee & evening cocktails, plus live events.
Awesome party. Cheap drinks. Fun place to party
We went to trism for a Bollywood night. It was alright (party). The place is spacious and at good location. They have like 3-4 bar counters so you dont have to wait for drinks. Nice drinks. Definitely a worth to go.
Great place to party. Great staff. All around good time.
Great venue, too bad not more people come. Kinda empty
Cheap drinks, live atmosphere on college football gamedays especially 💯
Great concert, but no AC and not enough seating.
Great music -- decent priced drinks.Hot as Helll! The AC was NOT on or NOT working.
It has a lot of space to dance but not much scenery. I think as soon as the kitchen opens itll be better, but its still a nice place to visit, just could have much more .
Beautiful venue, interesting events. Whole place goes to hell at night with no regard for keeping the "positive environment" of their mission. Fights breaking out at the club, patrons starting fights down the block at Canes. Nuisance establishment for the area, clean it up!
This is hands down the best bar on N High St. I think their food is bad but the atmosphere and drinks make up for it! And thats what everybody comes for anyways!
Music was good but I was thrown out for some dry heaving gags. I didnt even puke, what the fudge security guy
Awesome venue, open modern space. Fantastic lighting production. Great music all the time. Has weekly yoga but....... Bar lacks beer selection. Bartender charged me wrong bar tab.
I went for an event at night and I had no issues. The drink specials were nice and not too pricey. Given how small the venue is I was actually impressed. However I’m only giving the restaurant/bar 4 stars because I cannot speak for the food or breakfast they serve so I found my rating should be as fair and modest that I can provide.
Good food during the day. Can he fun at night depending on whether or not its packed.
Drove 2 hours from Akron to watch Micro Wrestling. I arrived and there was no wrestling and the doors were locked. Called 8 times and no answer. Will not be back
Paid 8.00 for a shot of Diluted liqour. Paid $10.00 to get in. Worthless place to buy your drinks. Great atmosphere, horrible prices.
Stopped in on a Wednesday night to check it out. Good EDM scene. Bartenders were hustling and the GM Andrew checked in and asked me how the service was. I will visit this venue again.
TRISM has some work to do in order to make their building more accessible to people with vision limitations. There is a four-inch-high step in the entrance area of TRISM that is not clearly marked. When exiting that restaurant for the first time [on 10-14-2018], I unexpectedly dropped four inches but thankfully had been able to remain standing. Yellow paint had been painted on the edge of that step several years ago but that paint has mostly worn off.Several days after my first visit to TRISM, I communicated with a manager and recommended that they paint fresh yellow paint on the edge of that step. I visited there yesterday [12-6-2018] but nothing has changed yet.The food at TRISM is extremely good. My first visit to TRISM [10-4-2018] had been to attend a private event [Simply Livings Annual Fundraiser: "Gift To Be Simple"] for which TRISM had catered the food. My second visit to TRISM had been to see if they had painted the edge of their step yet, to take some pictures for Google Maps [which I have already posted], and to eat there as a regular customer. What I had ordered yesterday had been the "NUMERO UNO" sandwich: "local eggs, jalapeno-jack cheese, zesty black bean spread, sriracha aioli and arugula on local focaccia."This vegetarian sandwich had been absolutely delicious. But I am still hoping that TRISM will be able to make their building more accessible to people with vision limitations
Could not have had more fun! Went for the Absolute pride kickoff party. Bartenders were just as sweet as they could be even though they were getting bum rushed by a ton of ppl looking for free drinks. Especially the cute little lady I gave my flower to, I wish I could remeber your name (thanks to Absolute). Such a blast! Will definitely be back for another dance party, and maybe bring another flower lol.
Their doors state that they are open until 10pm Monday through Friday. We’ve gone twice in the past week and they have been closed before 8pm. The food is good but it’s always a hassle getting food here when we never know if they’re actually going to be open.
Went for a show. I liked the beer selection And the atmosphere. The bathrooms were quit a mess, only complaint
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. The gentleman up front gave me some insight into the menu, told me a little about the mission of Trism and was a genuinely pleasant person to interact with. Food came out quick and was phenomenal (Greek Geek). The staff was quick to recommend and accommodate my preferences (I hate cilantro), despite the menu having cilantro in several dishes. Live music started toward the end of my visit and it was a nice treat! I will definitely be returning.
Not impressed. Waited 30 mins for a bowl I never got. When I asked for my money back the girl at the counter gave a half a** apology. Space looks empty and unfinished.
My drink was delicious but I took the SXSW bowl to go and the chicken is completely pink in the middle. I had to throw it away without eating it. I’m already home so I can’t even get a refund.
The food is AMAZING and its my new favorite place to order for work! Only issue is that on grubhub it says donuts, and bites, however when you get them its only one... Lol so if you want donuts and other snacks you have to put the number of how many you want even though its plural on grubhub. Everything else about the restaurant is fantastic!
I rarely write restaurant reviews, but I felt Trism was an exception. I cant overstate the quality of the food, but thats not the only reason Ill be back. I count my macros, which is difficult when eating out as most restaurants dont keep track of their nutritional information. I asked the girl at the register if they had their info posted, to which she replied that they dont yet but are working on getting it published. However, the manager came out a few minutes later while I was eating with a full printout of the nutritional info for the entire menu for me to keep. It was a small gesture, but it shows that the restaurant values their customers needs and are willing to give a little extra to make sure we are satisfied. Very impressed!
Good food and service, reasonable prices, vegan and gluten free options available, and a lot of plug ins. Perfect place for studying.
I had no problem with this place before. But Im sick and tired of Google asking me to review it. So heres the damned review youve asked for.
Very, very different set up from when this was Eddie Georges Grille. Not sure exactly what they were going for when setting this place up, but not sure they hit the nail on the head. A bit of an odd environment overall. However, I attended for a large event which filled the space out well making the environment seem less odd. Still, probably wont make this place a frequent stop.
Very interesting atmosphere. They have a viewing area for watching other people at the bar, cant say I have ever seen that before. Definitely a much different vibe than Eddie Georges.
Food and drinks were flavorful and they have a great happy hour.
Lovely free Saturday yoga! Im so excited to go!!
A guy hit me at the bar and the bouncers choke holded me out of the bar and threw me out because I didn’t know what the guy looked like who hit me. Worst bar I’ve been to.
Hipster prices for hipster food, but it is delicious and the service is pleasant. Main dig against them though is that it takes quite a while to get your food
This place is amazing! The food is fresh, healthy and delicious. Plus, the service is top notch and it is owned locally. a must try. 5/5 stars!!!!
A recently opened juice bar on campus! Love the spacious loft style of the place! They have great looking and delicious vegan smoothies, juices, bowls and sandwiches at daytime, It turned into a hip bar with great DJ music and scene. They sometimes have pop-up events like yoga and meet-up.
From the asymmetrical geometric sitting spaces to the $3 pop-tart style pastries, Trism takes a giant swing at the millennial food culture in Columbus and it misses by a wide margin. The whole concept is a grab bag of kitschy trends that make this place feel uncomfortable. The menu tries to tackle all the current popular food (organic/farm-to-table, avocado toast, breakfast bowls, etcbut fails to impress in any category. Its not bad food by any means, I actually enjoyed my jalapeno turkey sandwich with gazpacho, but it just didnt feel right. Part of that also has to do with the fact that the whole left side of the restaurant is a club/bar. No joke, this place doubles as a club. Have you ever been in a club when its empty? Its weird. Not exactly a great lunch atmosphere. To be honest, I dont see this place lasting more than a year or two. It has a big identity crisis problem and there are much better options when it comes to lunch spots and clubs in the area.
New place already has a well-established welcoming atmosphere. Love the selection (wish there were more coffee selections!and the style of the building. Definitely a must for everyone.
Cool space for a nightclub but drinks are extremely overpriced for a college bar. Also, checking my bank statement I noticed that two seperate times the bartender added in an extra dollar or two dollars to tip himself over the tips I already gave him, which is not only illegal but completely unprofessional. You lost my business after one visit.
Went out to trism on a Friday night, the cost of a rheingeist was $7 - What? And then my friend cut her hand on a broken glass and I went to the womens restroom and tried to help her clean it out & was kicked out for trying to help my friend. I tried to explain what happen and the bouncer all he could tell me as to why I was getting kicked out was that "I was in the womens restroom". My friend was cut and bleeding! Great place during the day, at night subpar. Might as well go to Midway.
Nice atmosphere (bar portion at night)- but they need to do some marketing. They also need to update their hours! The bar is open after the food / cafe part closes. The bartender was very nice and informative (woman working night shift 7/7/17)- she even let us know that the specialty drinks are doubles, which made them quite a deal at around $7-8. (Compared to those drinks at other bars).Hoping they do back to school specials in the Fall to get people in here. Would hate to see them fail! Also, wish they served food and smoothies later. Myself & others have come in after 8:00 PM hoping to get food / smoothies. The big TV screen is nice, but would be better if music videos were played rather than screensavers. The prices on toast seems fair, which was surprising. Very cute place! ☺ The layout is neat, I like sitting on the wooden benches inside.
Very open and trendy location to either grab a bite during the day or a drink at night. It overly pushes its "new, trendy, contemporary theme", but the food and drinks are pretty basic. Still good but fancied up so they can Jack the price up
Great clean food. Awesome atmosphere. A bit pricey but Id say its still a great value for what youre getting.
This was my second visit - nice atmosphere, pleasant staff, and great food! The smoothie bowl was extremely tasty and the toast was incredible!
The chickpea salad that comes with the sandwiches is top notch. Staff is nice.Clearly a commercial attempt at "authenticity" yet somehow not the typical manufactured naturalness one might initially expect.Only complaint is for appearing to look green (theres trees in the restaurantthey still serve dine in drinks in plastic cups and use paper towels in bathrooms... Would be great to see a place thoughtfully embody sustainably and not just use it as a corporate marketing farce.
First time Ive eaten here and didnt know what to expect, turned out to be a great choice. The smoothie bowl was top notch and the turkey sandwich was good as well. This is a great place to eat for someone who is trying to keep their body fat low. For the people complaining about drinks its so they can attract class and not cheap a**.
Prices for drinks are way higher than all the other campus bars.. this would be a good bar for downtown not south campus
I was refused entrance because of the "dress code" enforced by the door guy. Apparently the dress codes consists of slacks, "nice shoes," and collared shirts because they expect to attract more affluent clientele of the Short North instead of catering to the college students who live nearby.I ended up going elsewhere. I dont expect this restaurant to last for very long if they continue to enforce that kind of "dress code" when they have virtually no parking nearby (meaning their business will consist of foot trafficwhile its 85+ degrees outside.
Really cool place. Perfect for studying or just chilling with some friends. Really nice bar as well.
Absolutely amazing! Ive been waiting four years for a juice + smoothie bar on campus and was extremely pleased with my first experience.
