TIAN Restaurant München - Vegetarian restaurant in Muenchen, Germany
Enjoyable and interesting dinner. All dishes were well explained and service was great. Thanks.
Well executed vegetarian fare (i.e. good but nothing exceptionally creativebut priced steeply for what you get. 160€ for a 6 course lunch menu will get you a place at a 2 star restaurant at many other cities, but I guess that’s just Munich for you; an overpriced culinary scene.
Everything was mind blowing except a little disappointed on dessert.
Eventually we made it to TIAN, one of only a few one star fully vegetarian restaurant. And it was wonderful. Such creative dishes with high quality and mostly regional ingredients combined to mouth watering meals. We went there on a Saturday for lunch and also enjoyed the wine pairing which is perfectly matched each course. The staff was super welcoming and provided a ton of information to each meal. They were also able to answer all our questions :thanks a lot for having us.
What an experience. Every dish a journey of flavours. Staff were wonderful as well
The best vegetarian restaurant I have been to so far with incredible service and wine / self made juice recommendations! If you are in Munich and want to try something else than Bavarian dishes make sure to book a table at Tian! Local/regional and seasonal products only in some crazy good arrangements and pairings make it an awesome experience to dine here. We chose the lunch menu and got a table at the window front overlooking Viktualienmarkt which gives the whole experience another nice twist as you are eating slowly inside and indulge in these amazing courses whilst at the same time the buzz of the market outside keeps you entertained besides the tasty food!
Excellent vegan/vegetarian restaurant!
One of the best culinary experiences I have ever had. Lovely service, delicious and creative food, outstanding wine pairing and overall a very enjoyable evening! Totally recommended if you enjoy gastronomy and especially if you value the fact that it is plant-based at its core.
Absolutely mind blowing! 🤩We decided to try this all vegetarian restaurant for lunch.Only when we arrived to the door we realized it has one Micheln star. But since we were visiting Munich we decided to just go for it .We went for the whole menu and it surpassed all our expectations. The service as expected from such a place was flawless yet very friendly and effortless. And of course, the food!Wow…Every dish was better than the one before. We haven’t experienced such an innovative and creative use of ingredients in a very long time. Will definitely satisfy none vegetarian as well.We can’t wait to be back and try your following season menu.
OK
Vegetarian haute cuisine, presented in an enjoyable and and not overly exclusive way. Friendly and quite young staff. Perfect selection of vine!
Food delicious and staff soo kind
Finally made it to Tian - a must go for a vegan gourmet. Exceptional food with unconventional yet masterful wine pairings. The food is prepared to perfection keeping the original flavour of its key ingredients. Had wished for some more minutes between courses though.
excellent food, delicious wines and the service team was always supportive and friendly! Tiam is well worth a visit, you will not miss anything!
A new benchmark for vegetarian dishes. Each of the seven courses ingnited a firework of bliss in my head. Excellent service.
Healthy and tasty and relax... hard to say... the wine is also amazing and glasses as well.Fantastic restaurant!!!
Absolutely outstanding experience. Thanks to my Dad and Stepmom for giving us a gift certificate!!! Wonderful food, relaxed atmosphere, and very thoughtful service. Cannot recommend more highly :)
Amazing 7 course dinner, Michelin star restaurant, great receipe and equally good presentation
Absolutely fantastic vegetarian haute cuisine! If the full 7-course menu with wine is too expensive - it is not cheap - Id still recommend going there and trying a smaller menu: the experience is absolutely worth it!
Fantastic Food & Service, great Place to be
Beautiful evening, thoughtful staff, fabulous Maitre d!
I will recommend my friends
Good, clean.
Excellent vegan fine cuisine! Wine was awesome too!
best vegetarian food in my life
Brilliant food concept. The best vegan food experience until now. Every course is amazing. Could have one more star.
Amazing quality and top service
Best vegetarian food Ive ever eaten! I would totally recommend it to anyone.
Excellent experience.
A vegan restaurant, but meat is the best for me... :)
Even my carnivorous husband loved it.
Tian restaurant was a great and wonderful experience. Everything from the waiters to the decor to the food was all extremely well executed. The food was playful and fun and had taken such effort to execute. When we asked our really nice waitress Theresa about the food she could explain it down to the smallest detail which we really appreciated as two food lovers. Our sommelier was also extremely nice and knowledgable about all the amazing wines he served for us that evening. Hands down best vegetarian meal we’ve ever had. So baffled they don’t have a michelin star when everything was superb. We cannot recommend Tian enough! Andrea and Hanna from Denmark
Nice
Overall, our impression was that the restaurant did not live up to its pretence. The interior is lovely and the staff are friendly, however the dining experience took over 3 hours for 4 courses. The waiters took very long to take our order and were generally quite slow. The food itself was good, but nothing spectacular. If you are looking for interesting flavours, new textures or combinations being presented to your pallete - this is not the case. All the food was very well made, but was quite boring and lacked the debauchery that the resturaing claims to provide. It was rather basic and boring. The wine pairings were lovely, however delivered much earlier than food, thus making you wait for 20-30 minutes with a glass of wine for the food it is meant to accompany. We expected to see some spark and imagination from the chef, as vegetarian dishes allow for intricate play with the ingredients. There was no imagination to the dishes.Topped with a hefty pricetag of 79 euros for 4 courses, and 39 euros for the wines, we felt it wasnt worth the time or money.Overall, it is a decent place, albeit not living up to its promise. We had a nice time, but would not come back, unfortunately.
Excellent vegan restaurant in a great location. The food is very colourful and beautifully presented. They do some interesting flavour combinations and everything is full of flavour. Great service and stylish decor.
One of the world’s great vegetarian restaurants.
Good vegetarian tasting menu.
VERY GOOD EVERYTHING
I am a meat eater and Tian performed one hell of a good show to make me eat all the vegetarian food! I am so impressed! The tastes are right and the service is impeccable! Nice atmosphere!
Their restaurant is nice, great set up, good staff, the food is good but is not wow. I’m and I cook wow food, I like to eat outside and have the wow experience. But they are almost wow.
Great culinary experience. The food, the setting, the service, people, the details, everything plays well together.
Limited options but very good food, visit Tian for the experience and to be surprised.
Completely mediocre for the outlandish price. As a pescatarian and semi-frequent fine diner, I was excited try try Tian. The food was completely pedestrian and the portions laughable. Creative wine pairings were the only saving grace, but they completely outshown what they were meant to accompany.
High quality vegetarian and vegan dishes for special occasions. Fine dining and professional staff near Munichs Viktualien Markt.
Very creative/incredible good menu, excellent service.
A vegetarian gourmet restaurant!!! I was so excited to have found it. However, I left the restaurant slightly disappointed. The good:+ atmosphere is very nice, elegant but with earthy tones - lovely grand chandelier contrasting with wooden table decoration.+ service is ok+ all vegetarian menuThe bad:I would say that although some dishes were good with interesting combinations. However, the balance of flavours and textures is not always present in every dish. Some vegetables are served neither crunchy nor soft but a kind of limp and rubbery.Overall there were some interesting ingredients (e.g. stinging nettlebut I was surprised that the choice of ingredients was not more creative - it was almost on the boring side.Sadly, the dessert also was not really at the level that I expect at this price and setting. They went for a classic chocolate and raspberry combination for main flours, pecan nut and randomly, wheat grass for decorations. Classics can still be done well but again the flavours were not balanced. Chocolate was just sweet and not delicate, the raspberry sorbet could have been fresher.
A vegetarian heaven, a taste fireworks
Really nice place, very cute food and friendly service
Beautiful vegetarian degustation. Wines were perfectly paired with each course. Service was elegant and timed perfectly - everything that you would expect of a degustation. Staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable - the sommelier had an interesting "side fact" for every wine which was a really lovely touch.
Excellent place. Food really delicious and prepared with style. Perfect combinations of wine with the various dishes. Staff very friendly and helpful.Quite expensive but perfect for special occasions.Four stars instead of five because of a mistake in the bill - you would not expect that in this kind of restaurant!
