First day trying their High teaVery cute & pretty looking food cusines. Looks so appetising. Nice setting and ambience. We could see Twin Towers so clearly outside the window. Food is fabulous. Yummy 😋👍
Paid extra for the table petal decoration and for a signature cake meant to be a birthday surprise at the end of the meal. Not only was the service extremely slow, the birthday surprise was also ruined by one of the wait staff who was obviously not well trained. As for the food, we had the high tea set and there was a variety of local delights, but it was more of an acquired taste. The sweet food was far too sweet and the savory food was interesting although some really do tasted odd. Portion was quite filling for ladies. Overall, we were there for about 3 hours, with half the time waiting for their slow service (we waited 1 hour for them to clear the table and serve the cakeeven though it was not a crowded weekday lunch timing. Only good thing was the ambience was nice, and the Grand Hyatt hotel staff were hospitable.
SPECTACULAR! Ambiance, Views, Food & Service from staff!! Just go & Visit. Had Great experience here celebrated my 33rd birthday. 💕💕
Sunday brunch buffet for my birthday celebration .Seafood like prawns super fresh . Cocktail n Mocktail both are included 🎈scrumptious
- Nice ambience, great view.- Food was okay and can be improved.- The service was good and their staff were friendly. However, I hope they can be more attentive when serving.
Fabulous atmosphere with stunning KL city view from the height of 38 floors. Too bad we didnt have a chance to enjoy it during sunset. Friendly service from En Zamri in ensuring our family is comfortable. One of the best experiences .... well done Thirty8
Food was pretty good and the view was fantastic. Service was piss poor from the host to all the waiters running around like headless chickens. Even 30 minutes after finishing our main, no one would clean our table or offer any drinks. The table was cleaned only when we asked and the waitress dropped the cutlery on my clothing. Waiter who took our payment literally said nothing, not even thank you or goodbye, and couldnt even get to smile just a little bit. All in all, a very disappointing birthday dinner. Definitely not worth the hefty price!
Decided to come here because a friend was staying at the hotel, and thought with the view it boasts, how can it go wrong? I was strongly mistaken.Let’s start off with the not so good part (but not the worst- the food. I had the tagliatelle with wagyu bolognese; and thought this plate was actually tasting like straight out of a can you can get at the supermarket. The bolognese truly tasted like they just mixed tomato purée and some minced beef. I didn’t even finish half of my plate, and wouldn’t have finished that much if I wasn’t so hungry from waiting for so long. My company ordered a chicken dish (unsure which one- but the plate that came out was extremely uninspiring; and so bland in taste. Literally a blob of chicken on a plate with one whole tomato and a clove of garlic. So not up to par. Now I would say that their drinks were pretty decent, and the only reason why this isn’t a 1 starNow onto the worst part, the service. I understand that I went on the worst night because the Johor crown price came with the whole Johor FC team and they needed to be accommodated. But the resourcing was so poorly planned that everything we ordered or asked for, we had to ask at least 4-5 times; and some of the drinks we had ordered weren’t even brought until we had left. A couple next to us, who were celebrating their anniversary had to ask 5 times for their dessert and waited for 45 minutes for it. For the price and the standard of a Hyatt restaurant, I would never have expected this horrible level of serviceIf it was just up to me, I would’ve probably let it slide and just never come back; but thankfully, my friend was adamant on talking to someone about it. First we asked one of the supervisors (maybefor the restaurant manager; and she blatantly lied by saying no one senior is at the restaurant. With an important guest in, it was hard to believe; and my friend insisted on speaking to someone senior. Finally the restaurant manager came out and took some feedback and generously offered to have our bill on the house. But the lying and poor service was just so unexpected from a restaurant of this calibre. In any case I was grateful for their generosity, but there is no way on earth I would be returning here
We had a great high tea experience at this place. The staff were very warm, friendly and accommodating the entire time. We especially enjoyed our service by Farrah who helped guide us through all of the amazing dishes and made our experience really comfortable. Great views of the city in a very well-lit beautiful, glass enclosed space.
Had dinner with my wife here. The staffs are friendly and took great care of us. The waiter also suggested some recommended food to us as it was our first time. The wagyu steak was perfect! We also had butter prawn but it was mediocre at most. Other than that was fine. Cant forget the great view of KLCC
View nice! Food nice! Price? nice, i mean expensive but it is a high class restaurant so reasonable :)
spent 300+rm and 2 hours there. more than 1hr was spent WAITING?? the "special dessert" was overpriced and tasted mediocre if u like bitterness. the drink had clumps of white sugar and when asked, he said its like that and asked whether i wanted it redone "but itll be the exact same" what???? the steak was recommended for medium to well done WHO DOES THAT????:&:!:&:! also the "creamy mash potatoes" were like eating boiled potato that was mashed w a FORK. anyone looking for a high class place should just go marble 8.
Great Restaurant within a 5 stars hotel in KL.Located in the second highest floor of the hotel.Food is good but not amazing. However view on petronas tower is indeed amazing.Wagyu beef if soft and tender, a little bit noisy. But good overall.
Undoubtedly the best view Ive ever had for a hotel breakfast buffet. My stay at the Grand Hyatt hotel was perfectly ended with this experience. The collection of food ranges from Western to local Malaysian cuisine. The taste of everything was great and lots of variety to choose from. The staff was excellent too. Definitely an experience not to forget.
The bar was a good place to sit and chill. Breakfast buffet was pretty standard selection, nice view but my lunch session was pretty underwhelming. Service was so bad, ample staff but most of them clueless. My food took a very long time to come and the food wasnt good, not bad but pretty average but maybe I had higher expectations it being a 5 star hotel and all
~ Sunday buffet ~Environment tip topEnjoy the atmosphere greatlyBeautiful scene ~Services okay ~Toilet is cleanFoods are okay ~ nothing to shout. Buffet standard.Dessert is nice ! Love bread pudding a lot !Overall satisfied and go back with big stomach full with yummies ~~~
Good selection, particularly enjoyed making a smoked salmon - caper - cream cheese pouch. Teh Tarik runs out so fast and not replenished. Black tea also runs out.
I really love the experience here! Im having my hi-tea here and got really full. The foods were perfect, the taste, the presentation..love it all. The services also, really great! I really love the experience here and definitely will come again!. Oh, and the view, it mesmerising! With the price you pay, it is really great!
The afternoon tea is only available at weekdays and generally required bookings. For the price paid, you will enjoy the best of hospitality service by their trained professionals, a view of the KL City Skyline to die for, excellent luxurious setting and the best of chef prepared fares.Aside from the excellent service where your every need is seen to promptly, the staff are ever attentive to your needs and wants. The food is excellent, from the various hi tea sets out there the fare is well planned and comprise of a mix of more traditional fare such as scones with clotted cream and choice of jams/kaya to go with it, to more contemporary imagining of Malaysian favourites in creatively done finger foods. The exotic use of spices in the savoury snacks are surely a surprise, I never knew cardamom can add such a tantalising taste to dishes, especially for hi tea fares. Alongside your choice of tea or coffee and also additional orders from their liquor menu. The place is often full anytime of the week but your privacy is quite ensured from the well thought off arrangement in seating and fixtures. Enjoying such decadence with your loved ones or friends during special is truly something special and worth what you paid for any day.Ambiance: 5/5Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Price: 5/5Parking: 5/5
The restaurant starts at 12pm, so though we are a little early, we were asked to sit at one corner of the lounge with no options for ordering refreshment. The initial usher to the table was a little bumpy, however, they did give us a very nice table overlooking the tower, and we are very grateful for that.We ordered lunch, followed by high tea.The services a little slow and could see the staff are not too well trained.1. The bread with olive oil was served before lunch. This gives a weird combination as we ordered Chinese food.2. We were rushed through our lunch, so that they can bring us the high tea. It was quite annoying. Was asked if they could clear the plates when it was obvious that there were still food on it.3. Lunch was actually surprisingly good, compared to the high tea.4. Items on the high tea set was a bit of a hit and miss. Cappuccino was just hot milk with a dash of coffee taste. But I guess you come here for the company and view, and not so much to sample the best high tea in town. The lava chocolate cake in the set however was very good.Overall the portion is big and the price is reasonable given that it is strategically located.Come here if you want to enjoy the view for a decently priced high tea (compared to others with the same view). If you are not picky with what you eat, the high tea set can be a decent choice.
Got the high tea package. Service and view was great but food was okay. Loved the savoury items but the sweets were a bit overpowering, their lava cake is to die for though! They have a TnG top up machine nearby the parking exit which was great too
Good views of Kuala Lumpur from 38 floor. Good ambience. Hi tea was justokay. Price was on the high side. Staff was polite and courteous. Service was a bit slow.
An exquisite restaurant, bar and lounge with highly attentive staff. Truly enjoyed their recent addition of the white asparagus specials to the menu. The dishes presentation is neat and classy, and of course all the food and desserts taste sublime. You are paying for a fine dining experience with quality food and a breathtaking view of the Petronas Twin Towers, so do come here if youre bringing an important guest, and/or just simply treating yourself or your partner and family to a one-of-a-kind experience.
Came here to celebrate my friends birthday. They will decorate your table with fresh rise petals for rm20 and a birthday cake for rm65. Do book in advance as it is packed. We got the Soar High with Local Flavours ala carte buffet. Service was slow and we spend 4 hours there eating with most of the time waiting for water or food. One time our caprese took an hour. Can see that they are understaffed. Food is ok overall with a few good dishes.
Im so exciting and loved it so much 😍😍😍First time dine in here and try their food for celebrate my anniversary and so worth it overall 👍👍👍 Recomended
Arrived there and order was taken before 1pm. More than half an hour later, one of the senior staffs came and told us that the order need to be retaken because previous staff didnt take the order properly. More than half an hour later, food arrived at our desk, 2:30pm maybe. One of my colleagues at the table even went to the kitchen to check what took so long for the food to be prepared. There was a little confusion on the dessert we ordered, and yet the staff still wanted to strongly said he was right on taking the order; by right with all the faults happened before he should have just agreed with the customer to show courtesy. Speaking of courtesy, with all the time wasted to wait for the order (well, we didnt leave the restaurant immediately because it was a lunch meeting), they should have just offered massive discounts on the bill, in which I guess it wasnt there. Food wise, the taste was slightly above average without any wow factor to really make us worth wasting more than 1 hour of our time to wait for it. Definitely a big fumble for Hyatt here.
Nicely setup with KLCC as the backdrop. Crew is attentive but can be too busy during peak hours. They have kids menu for your little ones. Can request for surprise birthday cake which is chargeable at RM40 regardless of your total bill amount. Would be a nice touch if it is on the house.
Had the marriage proposal here. Need to make early reservation before come. About 1month ago, to make sure the date is correct. Then the staff is very helpful to arrange my plan and allow friends to join us during the proposal. Food is decent enough, more importantly is the ambience and environment. Really nice experience here.
Great ambience for dining high up with a wide view of the Petronas Twin Towers. To add to that the food was really good and the portion sizes much larger than we had anticipated, but it was all tasty with balanced flavors and a good selection of cocktails, mocktails and flavored teas. The staff rounded out the experience with attentive and friendly service. The prices were reasonable.
Tried their weekend lunch buffet. I would give 5 stars for the view, ambience and service. Please don’t put any expectations on their foods. Savoury food tasted a bit funny, and the dessert were too sweet for my liking.
This Grand Hyatt’s restaurant bar & lounge located at 38th floor, a floor below the Lobby of the Hotel. You need to go up to the Lobby at 39th floor before changing lift to 1 storey below. The 4-course dinner is nothing but ordinary. However the ambiance & service is good! This restaurant with 360-degree view of the city but the best view would be the stunning KLCC Twin tower. Also should try its various locally inspired cocktails & mixing. An odd one is Whis-Kut-Teh, a mixture of whiskey with honey dates, goji berry & housemade Bak Kut Teh syrup!
Went there for the team and we had a great time getting to know each other better. Food tasted normal. Nothing special. Service is ok. Good view of the city skyline.
A lot of customers celebrated birthday at this restaurant hotel because of the greatest views of KLCC twin towers in front of the restaurant hotel. Nice location, clean, convenient & of course privacy.
Took my wife here for our 11th anniversary dinner. The ambience is nice. Not too loud. We had the best KLCC view and pre order flower petals decoration on our table. I can say we had the best waiter (Mr Sulaimanexperience. He had suggest the menu based on our preference. Our surprise (preorderanniversary cake is deliciously out of this world. Really looking forward for our next 12th anniversary dinner here !
Its one of my favorite hotels to stay, have breakfast or dinner. Their breakfast spread is pretty awesome and the view is just superb. The staffs and the chefs are very friendly. Would come again if have the time.
Went for High on flavors ala carte buffet with siblings last Sunday. My second time had hi tea buffet here. Cant get windows seat because those table only for 2 ppl or 4-5 ppl. The place is quite warm so we keep drinking iced water in order to stay chilled, services remain very good. Everyone talk softly, quite a comfortable dining experience. I think there are 4-5 tables celebrate birthday. Never expect this round my favorite food is the noodle soup. We dont like the assorted bites, 1 weird texture, 1 very fishy and all cold. The 3-tier tea set taste not bad, sweet and sour (except the caramel chocolate thingy which super sweet). Other ala carte savory taste standard. For me it is pricey...
Came here for my birthday celebration and I order the mixed grill plater with the beef and chicken and it was absolutely atrocious to eat. The beef was so hard, couldn’t even use my own knife to cut it. The chicken is so dry, even eat with the sauce they provided and it’s still dry. The environment it’s so hot, they didn’t even turn on the AC. I was even sweating while eating my food. I’m truly extremely disappointed with the food. I will not come back here again.
One of a great place for high tea in town with affordable price. Its hard to find a place where served good dessert for high tea and the selection of beverage was so kind that you can select more than 5drinks for the whole session. The only thing that makes the rating worth only 4 stars is the service. The management was of staff its really confusing and getting a glass of beverage need to wait for a long timeOther than that, everything was great and wonderful
Had our anniversary dinner here. Food was ok. Also tried their cocktail set menu. That was a fun experience. Ambience at night is the main reason we opted this place, we were given a great table with the direct view of the twin tower. Our server was great. We get a complimentary dessert as my then bf was proposing that night.
Dined at Thirty8 as an extended New Year 2022 staycation dinner.Upon being ushered to our table, out of curioity spouse politely enquired about window table. Instead of explaining, person attending instead replied in a manner perceived as sarcastic. She pointed to the window, said VIEW then pointed to our seat and left. Wow.Not long after, order for drinks was taken. Once ready, we ordered our meal. We only ordered the clam chowder and seafood platter as we wanted a light dinner, also after having steak at Marble 8 night before.3 other groups of diners then arrived and after a time, ordered. To our surprise, they soon received their orders. This was about 20-30mins after we ordered. We then enquired about our order as we hadnt even received our order of soup.We were then told that our order was somehow not processed and offered complimentary chocolate mousse and cheesecake whilst we wait. Just another 10mins for our order, he said.About 30mins later and after a few follow ups we received our order. However it was without the promised accompaniment. 10-20mins later and after a few follow ups we finally received it.All would have been worth the wait if the food was good. Perhaps it was not our night as everything was just disappointing from beginning to end (service/foodwith only consolation being view of Petronas Twin Towers.Thankful that we both decided to just enjoy the night despite the huge letdown, kept our cool and that we had an excellent experience the night before at Marble 8.We concluded that perhaps those who dine at Thirty8 only go to celebrate an occassion, the view and dont mind paying for a less than average meal (noticed the guy in opposite struggling to cut his steakfor that experience.
The staffs definitely created a welcoming ambience. You can enjoy a great high tea atmosphere here with affordable price.Variety of food in the tea set they offered, sweet and savoury. I couldnt finish all of them to be honest. One of the main reasons was because the dessert were too sweet and some the savory food tasted odd too. (Not sure what I am eating most of the time)I guess I will come back for the vibes but not the food. 😅
The view was superb!!!! We really like it! Came for anniversary celebration. Booked via website & they managed to give us very nice view spot. The food was very much delicious. My husband really enjoy the steak, so do I with the spaghetti. Will come back (for sure!)
Good view and location.🎄🎄🎄Christmas buffet for almost RM400/person and not including drinks and we have to pay extra more for that. Food is average, they running short of the food often. Specially in the seafood area. Other side dishes for meats.Service is average, except we order one time a sparkling bottle and the lady gave us half full bottle. I think some of the staff is not trained properly. Specially when someone spilled the drinks on the floor and they keep ignoring it. Until higher Chef notice it and told to stand there until someone will clean it but took ages until someone cleaned that floor.Toilet is bad. Seems no one is cleaning the area. Specially for a big function and we still have pandemic around.
Fantastic view of KL city from the restaurant. Was there on Sunday for buffet breakfast. The buffet spread was okay. I was disappointed with the juices though. Was expecting fresh juices but the pink guava has added sugar (I was told by the waitress). Guess those came from cartons. Overall the food was okay. The fruit salad was salty...i prefer bland taste for breakfast. The pastries were so so. Coffee was great.
Environment is superb. We had breakfast opposite the view of the twin towers. Breakfast are on the average but lots of variety of Chinese Malay Indian and international breakfast
Immaculate.. Waiters and manager very attentive and friendly. All needs are addressed. Ms. Maryati was very helpful. Ordered the 4 set course. Customed drinks for us Muslims as from the menu it contains alcohol. Overall, I highly recommend for fine dining here. Also dont forget to topup your touchngo above rm30. As its cashless parking and the rate per hour is quite high.
To sum up: Probably in terms of value for money the best high tea in KL. Well worth the price considering you get savoury + sweets and there’s also a scoop of ice cream. My friend and I were so full and we couldn’t finish it. Plus point: unlimited refill of the tea unlike certain places where you get a pot and that’s it. Also the awesome view of KL from up above and the high tea is for two. It was spacious, airy and not cramped. The only downside would be the limited choices of tea but I’ll definitely come again.
Service was grear, View is amazing, however food is just good. Had their hitea, some food items were so good and others are bad for my taste. So overall okay. But yes quantity of hitea food is good. Also its so instagram friendly.
It was my first time to try the afternoon high tea. Out of curiosity. I chose to go to Thirty8 because of the good reviews I’ve read. Overall vibe, Thirty8 has stunning great view of KLCC. I loved the cakes but I was not a fan of the mini sandwiches. One downside and a big factor that affected my overall experience was the lack of airconditioning at Thirty8.
One of the best Hi-teas in KL. And during the weekdays they have special offer of RM168 for 2 which is a amazing deal. Huge buffet with amazing sweet and savoury options with unlimited tea and coffee options.Great service and staff.Proper Sops followed.Ambiance is amazing.Over all loved it.
