THE KINGDOM BUFFET & WEDDING - Buffet restaurant in Taejon, South Korea
THE KINGDOM BUFFET & WEDDING in Taejon
Description
Privilege
Would come here for the shrimp and lobster sauce alone. Overall great meal, $8.99. No complaints about the service. Just pretend you are visiting a foreign country.
MoreEat here often food is good and always fresh for the level of restaurant ,type is better than most food wise
MoreIf youre hungry and dont mind putting on a few extra pounds then this place is for you.
MoreThe food is very old and tasteless, very poorly service and they demand a tip.The cashier demanded a tip from me and since I didn’t have cash, he told me not to return anymore
MoreFood was awful. No flavor, very bland, over cooked, and just overall not good. The dessert was not good either. The waiter seemed annoyed that he had to pick up our plates, as if he was doing anything else for us.
MoreWe went for a weekday lunch party at 11:30. Service was excellent and buffet was good.
MoreI live in west palm. But only go to this one. Enough said (: very satisfied
"" The food is good, they got ribs, fried shrimps and a good sushi bar N grill "".
MoreIve been to other Chinese buffet style restaurants, and usually the fare was acceptable and familiar, if a bit ordinary. While The Kingdom offered varied and plentiful fare at a readily affordable price, everything tasted just a little off to us....ok, make that quite a lot off. My party of 5 all agreed, It wasnt dreadful, just not appetizing, with a curious under-taste we couldnt identify. I dont recommend this place nor will I dine there again.
MoreI went there and the food was pretty good, however, I took a bite of the sushi and found a bone inside of it, I immediately told the manager and he gave me a very small discount of one dollar, when i asked for a higher discount, he yelled at me and kicked us out and yelled at us saying to never come back, place was crowded and bad service, wouldn’t recommend.
MoreI was shocked I saw the baby cockroaches on the table, and during dinner time, what I did at the table was constantly kill those baby cockroaches with tissues. Their main dishes, like the pepper steak and lo main, were overcooked with no flavor, like water down. Their service was nonexistent, and their attitude was rude and arrogant. Before I left, I expressed those issues to the male owner, he didn’t give me any explanation but emphasized those were ants and didn’t want to address the situation. I think the board of health should come to the restaurant and inspect it. Such a dirty place and a disappointing experience. Plus, they required me the 18% tips. Amazing!
MoreService sucks. Ants and roaches in restaurant. Not very clean. I left a small tip because there really was no service. We were brought over one water. One soda. Never got a refill. Paid my bill and owner wanted me to leave more of a tip. Explained it’s a Buffett and didn’t get much service. He the ran out after me telling me a need to leave more tip or don’t come back. Many other cleaner restaurants I can go to.How rude to run after a person yelling I need to leave 18% tip for helping myself put my own food on my plate. Been going there for 25 yrs. Never again. How rude!
MoreI’m very disappointed with this restaurant. The male owner is rude. The food is horrible. And they call this Chinese food. The food is mixed with ants and roaches. I couldn’t believe we had to share the table with roaches. The owner wanted us to give more of a tip that we left because the service was horrible. Why would we reward a waitress with an 18% tip when she did nothing. It’s a buffet restaurant where you help yourself. The owner ran into the parking lot yelling and demanding more of a tip. Rude and embarrassing. We will never eat there again. And I will call my credit card company to make sure he did not change the amount of the tip.
MoreThe food was very tasty!Very clean! We have been here a few times tonight it was really excellent!
MoreCame at dinner time and the food was dry and old. I cant believe Friday nite at dinner would be serving old , dry and potatoes tasting like old oil fish. I am very disappointed 😞 I paid 15.99 per person and it wasnt worth at all. When I came on Sunday for lunch the food was so fresh and today it was horrible. The waitress was very nice.I wont come back again.
MoreGood food have been going there for many years. Nice owner.
Just an ordinary chinese buffet. Been coming there for years, usually knowing what to expect to get. What you pay is what you get here, a budget "feast" for a mediocre food. That being said, my last two visits were disappointing. Soup broth was watered down. All Asian entrees were bland and lacking flavors. One of the main thing served there that was actually good was the Ginger Scallion Crabs, but they stopped refilling an hour before they close. This restaurant serves quantity, but short in quality. Service were borderline ok at most. I even caught out waitress stuck her fingers inside our cups as she took and carried them away for refill. Needless to say, we didnt drink them after.I recalled thinking that we would not return for a while the last few times we were here. But this would be it for us. For good.
MoreFar and away the best Chinese buffet around. Didnt try the. Sushi myself, but the Mrs. thoroughly enjoyed it. The Mongolian bar was very good. The soup (wontonwas great.
MoreFood is very so so. Sushi part is below average with almost no options and not the best presentation/taste.
MoreHorrible experience the owner wanted to charge us more because we were there for a late Lunch and we didn’t know certain foods begin at Dinner no signs what so ever. The food is not that good Mouse droppings were on the steak the food is sort of non tasteful, too gummy.Place is not that clean. Prices are whited out for Lunch and Dinner which are supposed to be posted be aware! Definitely will not be returning.
MoreWent YEARS ago and had a horrible experience and never went back (bugs and bad service). Today we tried it again. MUCH better this time. Food was hot and tasted good. Trays were replaced timely. Food area was clean and food looked appealing. Servers were attentive and refilled drinks quickly, cleared plates regularly and all in all, I was happy this time around. Will be back!
MoreAbsolutely VILE no sushi to speak of, everything else was laying in a pool of grease i took 2 bites of the ribs and they were horrible. what a bad experience NEVER AGAIN
MoreKingdom buffet is great, the staff has all the disinfectants and safety features/things you need to keep you safe against Covid, but so many refuse to mask when they go to the buffet to serve themselves the patrons negate wearing the plastic gloves provided to serve themselves and give the staff a hard time when the staff reminds certain patrons.....
MoreGoing there for years… My favorite restaurant although I live 15 miles south… for always fantastic and everything is hot and fresh and steamy… Pricing excellent for lots of great food… Staff good and pleasant to deal with… never too crowded… Always a very pleasant experience
MoreHaven’t been there for awhile went yesterday very disappointed. Food cold and not tasty. Cold fish, potatoes did not taste good. I have been before and food was different perhaps new staff. I took 6 guest all disappointed. No desire to return.
MoreThe Food was kind of old not taste that Good. Sushi was nasty and I love Chine Buffet but I would not go there anymore. Plates were dirty just not good.
MoreFood very fresh, lots of choices - give you a gloves to put on while you are picking out your food - enough space between tables
MoreI went here yesterday after taking my 2 kids, and my 3 nieces to a Halloween festival in Boynton. They were ages 10, 10, 10, 8, and 8 all in their Halloween costumes. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted with “how old is everyone?” I had no idea why that was the first question. Very odd greeting. I told them their ages. He showed us to our table, left then brought back the manager. The manager (David Licomes to me and asks how old is everyone. Now I’m very concerned because i just told the other guy. I told them again their ages. He said “NO! they are all adults!” In a raised tone of voice. I said are you calling me a liar? What’s the significance of their ages (because i had no idea)? He said ages 3- 10 are charged less but this does not apply to my kids…. So I’m guessing because all my kids were taller than them we should be charged more? My 10 y/o daughter looked up at me and asked him if we should show them our passports. This is discrimination and I don’t understand why we were treated like this. Terrible customer service! We will never return to this awful place!!!
MoreI bumped up my rating from two to four stars after my lunch time visit today. The food is significantly better than previously. Trays at the buffet were refilled throughout my stay. The sushi, while not Japanese restaurant quality, was not bad. Wasabi, pickled ginger, and seaweed salad was available. A varied selection of Cantonese-style dishes were offered, and those that I tried were quite tasty. Two fish dishes were offered: salmon and pollock fillet. The restaurant was not at all crowded. Outstanding attempt to keep diners safe. Distancing is strictly enforced. Face masks must be worn while at the buffet bar and moving around the restaurant. Disposable plastic gloves are supplied and required to be worn. The host actually walked around with a box of the gloves. -- This is my original review: Definitely on the low end of the scale as far as Asian buffets go. I cannot understand why it is always so busy. Boynton Beach no longer seems to have an Asian buffet option. Try Crazy Buffet in West Palm.
MoreI have raised our family in this townAnd have been a faithful patron of the Restaurant. They R family owned and operated.the lunch 2day was fresh and delicious as usual. I am a BussinessOwner and I support this family and theStaff that R special 2 my familyRobert Graves
MoreIve been going to this place every since I was a little boy, an the food is still the same an good love it😘
MoreAwful. I guess they didnt feel like making any soup tonight. Low quality food made by people that look like they sleep in the restaurant. One of the owners who goes by Stan asked me to tip on the way out. Excuse me. Dont do it . Save yourself the money and go for Chinese food cooked by Chinese people elsewhere. Do not bother with this place. Terrible service. Staff and management...food quality...
MoreA perfect meal, during questionable times. Good service and good variety. I love it for the seafood, New Zealand Mussels, Frimp, Clams and sushi. Stuffed to the gills with good food.
MoreFood was okay , ask for prices they charged full premium price 14.99 for Sunday lunch on Fathers day which didnt have any crab legs and the same lunch menu. They said it was holiday pricing total b.s. As a regular patron this was totally disappointing.
MoreNot the same as before. I had to spit everything out. I used to eat everything. Some items so terribly salty too. The only thing I could eat was the ice cream. The prices increased too to 9,49 for lunch. I believe outside posted, is 6.49 for lunch. So that was false. I wont be back.
MoreThe worse Chinese food Ive ever had. Not many options really slow refilling trays. They say they offer crab legs but never saw any kept saying will refill but didnt. Wouldnt recommend go else where.
MoreThe food is good but the service is not. My drink didnt get refilled and for a check of 37 dollars they added a gratuity charge of 9 dollars automatically. I always tip 20% every where I go or even more if I have excellent service. I will definitely not visit this location again. I Always go back to where the service is good even if the food isnt great just because u feel welcomed.. service is everything !!!
MoreI have eaten there almost weekly since they opened appx 20 years ago. Now that I have moved a few miles away I still go there at least once or twice a month. The food is always fresh and the kitchen workers always keep the food presentable & fresh and the area very clean. I have also watched their children grow up and work when not in school. The only reason for 4 stars is I would love them to put vegetable Chow Mein on the buffet, my favorite
MoreThe service was prompt and kind. The food was mediocre. The soda was really watered down. Dont eat the sushi, the crab meat had too much mayo. The best things in here are the sesame chicken and white rice, cant mess those up. As long as you know what to avoid in a stereotypical chinese buffet youll find this restaurant okay :)
MoreI went with my wife and daughter to eat at about 315 pm. We were eating when a waitress walked over and loudly said to my wife that she should not eat the crab legs that were on the buffet as they were for dinner customers only. As there was no sign and nothing to indicate which items we could not eat my wife felt embarrassed as people all around us heard the conversation and were looking. Being in customer service all my life there was a much better way to approach the situation which was clearly a misunderstanding. As the restaurant was full when we came it may have been best to put up a sign or make an announcement to avoid this embarrassing situation. We have been here a few times before and never complain even when we came late on thanksgiving last year and paid good money and everything was cold because it was late at night and we were coming from the airport. I guess I will be taking my business elsewhere as we felt this was not acceptable.
MoreNot very good quality. They advertise all you can eat crab legs but they literally tease you and put about 20 legs out for everyone to fight over and dont bring more out for another 30 minutes to replenish them. Not to mention, the legs were scrawny and water logged. The waitress was nasty, when I asked her when would the crablegs be put out(as I was there for 20 minutes already and there still werent any on the barthe lady just rudely as if she were annoyed that she didnt speak English and I was bothering her, she so rudely pointed at the buffet and said "food"! As if to say, buzz off bi!$#, the food is over there, dont ask me about anything.... There were a few things that were good, but overall my experience wasnt pleasant.... This used to be my favorite solo pastime, but now its somewhere to eat rather than starve....
MoreThe food was okay. The dumplings were cold. The chicken was dry and not pleasant to try. The customer service was the main reason why I gave them a low rating. The people service were bland and rude. They didnt want to change the water which I ask without ice. They were not friendly nor cared if we wanted refills. Extremely disappointed. They should be attentive. We also werent finished eating there and they brought us the check as in a way saying leave. I was shocked.
MoreIve been there often since others in my circle enjoy it. I find the place unclean. I often have stomach issues immediately following eating there. I limit myself to the Mongolian BBQ, but they do not properly clean the stove-top between orders, so you get the spices of the person before you in your food. The ice cream scoops seem very unsanitary, left to saute in all the previous flavor in unchanged water. And the food doesnt taste that good anyway.Find somewhere else.
MoreAll protein was tough. Price is good 9$ per person. If you go, stick to the hibachi grill in back left of buffet. You get to pick your own ingredients and they fry it up for you. I probably wont ever go back.
MoreThis was the worst. Everything tasted horrible and was bland at its best. Every dish was cold it was just really gross. We want there Friday night at 5:30 when you think they would be putting on their best front and every crab leg i broke into the meat was just black. The sushi smelled SO fishy, there was a piece of salmon sushi that the edge of the fish was a dark green??? Nothing was fresh, to the point where my wife and I suspected that everything had been under heat lamps for 24+ hours. If you are thinking of going here, you have not taken this seriously enough and are about to make a very disappointing mistake.
MoreDisgusting. Dirty glasses. Sushi is unedible. No ice for shrimp and mussels. Eat at your own risk. Friendly staff.
MoreLove it great place to go with family or friends or even to take out and relax at home
MoreOhhh its a lots of variety in sea food , chicken, pork and also in veggies. Nice seating arrange and staff is also cool
MoreBeen coming here for years Its a weekly staple for me . Always a battle not to stuff myself so bad I need to sleep it off. The wings are great and the fried fish too. All the basics any buffet would have, all tasty and the sushi is actually halfway decent! Priced affordably for both lunch and dinner. Sometimes I eat light for breakfast and hit this place at 2pm to gorge.
MoreThis has been our go to Chinese Buffet for over 20 years. The food is always great. Usually order from hibachi but was a bit slow the last couple of months. The fresh bean sprouts are worth the wait. We moved to Virginia and ate there the day before we left. Sad to say goodbye and looking for new go to Buffet near our new home
