Great atmosphere, lovely food.

Really friendly pub, lively yet relaxed atmosphere.

Decent selection of drinks. It is a bit small so keep that in mind on buddy nights as you will have to stand, and live bands can be a little over powering too.

Lovely atmosphere. Great coffees and home made cookies!

Nice bar, great food offering. The beer garden is a non-smoking beer garden, so I sat with my.smoking friend out the front. Nice clean toilets.

Service was good, hence 2 stars rather than 1. Unfortunately the menu, which drew us to choosing the Clifford, was not reflected in the presentation or quality of food and although plentiful neither of us enjoyed our meal, it actually felt quite amateurish. Sorry.

What a difference to find such a friendly pub, all the staff were accommodating and extremely professional.We were made very welcome and we will certainly return.Great to have a no smoking garden, made our visit even better.Thank you all concerned.

Lovely place, chilled atmosphere, great staff. I ordered the rump steak rare, my partner ordered a medium cooked Rump, my mum ordered Fish & chips. All cooked to perfection! Prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend. 👍🏻😊

Had a most delicious lunch today of Mushrooms with herbs and cheese on ciabatta toast. Spent a lovely couple of hours sat in the beer garden. Great hospitality, tasty food and lovely surroundings!

Good Sunday lunch but jazz band was too loud for eating and enjoying meal. Ironic that this was on the day when there is general conversation going on about how music affects ones eating pleasure.

Very welcoming Pub, good range of beers and Gins. We had the food which we thought was sensational! Thoroughly recommended.

This pub is deceptively modern on the inside, with a nice looking (non-smokingbeer garden to the rear. There was a friendly welcome from the chap behind the bar, and some different beers and lagers from the usual. I will certainly be returning to try the food.

Good cappucino and croissant ( in the morning). One of my favourite coffee shop while i am in town. We had a delicious dinner as well last night. Fish and chips are awesome.🙏🏾

Always become one of my favourite coffee shop every time I spent time to visit my husband family in Shaldon. A good cup of coffee ( Capucinno and croissants are my choice.

We visited on a family trip recently, and the service really stood out as excellent. We had a group of 5 including a child who is gluten intolerant and the staff were very helpful with the food.The beer and cider were both excellent, Black Rat cider was the highlight. The food varied from good to great, with the steak Diane being a particular highlight.

Lovely meal and atmosphere, will be on my list of restaurants to return to.

Here for a family Sunday lunch, an enjoyable meal with polite and prompt table service. The food was fantastic, 2 available portion sizes which cater for all appetites. Nothing is too much trouble and they have been very accommodating with our large and demanding family!The decor and atmosphere is on point with a good ambience. We left feeling very relaxed which is what you want for a lazy Sunday afternoon. We will definatley return.

Pleasant staff, fab food. Fresh Devon crab on toast was amazing. Substantial too.The bread they used was rosemary foccacia baked on site. So good.

Only nipped in for a couple of pints in the evening. Lovely staff. The food looked great (when I saw others eating it, all of whom looked like they enjoyed it). Great beer, and a jazz quartet! Id love this to be my local.

Beautiful interior, friendly staff. Reasonably priced ale, considering its in beautiful Shaldon, £3.60 for pt of Jail Ale, 4.8%.

Very good quality food with large portions. Reasonably priced. The coffee is fantastic.

Cider on tap was good if not a bit expensive.The bar person could have been a bit more human in his approach to serving customers

Sunday 4 March - delicious food - good atmosohere - great jazz.

Deceptive place as outside it looks like an old English pub but inside its a cozy modern lounge atmosphere. Didnt eat but my friend did and the sausage sandwich smelt and looked great! They only do single size coffee but they are double shot. Nice for a quick pit-stop.

On the 24th December We had a very enjoyable afternoon with jazz and good foodService was excellent and the staff were really helpful

Modern and clean with a traditional feel, perfect. Great selection of food and drinks with very polite and welcoming staff. Recommend.

Possibly the most unfriendly pub in UK? Dont waste time even walking up steps to door where you will find signs detailing all those they dont want in their pub, all families with kids are unwelcome here!!! Screw them, there are some great pubs in Shaldon so go to them instead of this place.

Very clean, didnt eat but the food smelt good, jazz on Sundays and Monday evening, drinks a little on the expensive side. Overall very nice pub.
