We had some great starters of chilli poppers, followed by a pizza and ribs. The pizzas are large and can be shared. The ribs were below par. However, the atmosphere, large screen, play area make The Brewery the perfect place to visit if you are liking for a low key afternoon of sport and beer.

Always a win, we come through every year when my husband does Brewery to Brewery! Well done!

Unfortunately we arrived during load shedding so missed out on the pizzas but the burgers + sushi were great Of course their beer was the high light of the evening and the Kiddies play area was just another reason to be there.

What a beautiful spot. Childrens play area, beautiful rustic setting, individual stalls for private vendors. Good service and food really good. Enjoy a beer tasting.

They did well during load shedding and managed to provide a decent loadshedding limited menu. Waiter seemed to struggle with the order a bit and had to come and check things. But a copy atmosphere. Food overall was good but burger seemed to have a lot of oil. This could be due to limitations with loadshedding though.

Very nice place to relax with the whole family. Also pet friendly which is a plus......

Watched the rugby here the other evening during loadshedding. A great spot for a beer and a burger!

The beer and viders definitely up there with the best, the RR cider which is rum and sparletta red coldrink very tasty, not sure if it is Tipo Tinto?

Great place and beer!

Such a great outdoor seating spot with our dog. Staff was incredibly accomodating and super pet-friendly! The loaded fries was seriously yummy & we enjoyed their Stout the most. They were a bit busy but because its a big space we didnt feel it so much.

Very up market, vibe oriented spot. Amazing beers and second to none foods. The owner is very personable and welcoming, the staff is great too! Made for a good stop during our trip from Canada!

We booked a house in Vermont and decided to have lunch at this place, a lovely lady from Zimbabwe served us pretty well, helped by another guy also from Zimbabwe, I must say, they really made our experience awesome and on a R 700 bill, we paid her almost R 200 as a tip.Now as we were leaving, mind you we were the only black people there, a guy who also works there, a white guy, came to us and had the audacity to ask all of us as a group of 5 people if we had paid our bill, as if we would leave without paying, it would be understandable if you would tell me or had told us that this is company policy, that any random waiter who did not even serve you can ask you that stupid question as a leaving customer instead of asking your waiter/waitress.We did not want to make a fuss only because we were very much well treated by the other waiters, but not this white one who found it reasonable to ask us this question if front of other guests as if we came to steal his food.

We heard and came here especially for their pulled brisket burger 😋😋😋 It was all and more, absolutely delicious and filling. A huge complement to the owner/chef for this creation in food. Really loved it. All their food looks delectable and delicious. A definite worthwhile place to visit for a meal and a drink. Hope to come back soon.

Best beer in town hands down. Food is very good all round and a good place to bring kids too.

Went to the brewery for a tasting and some food around lunch time and wasnt dissapointed. Good service and affordable as well. We had some sushi, poppers and cheesy fries. Nice outside (under coverand inside area so you can sit wherever depending on the weather. I always try to pop around when in Hermanus, so they will see me again.

Love the Veggie Bomb pizza, nitro Stout and happy hour. Service also great.Were sorry youve changed your menu, particularly no morecalamari:(also changed chicken, chicken wings starter very expensive

Their sushi is very well made and the new vegan and vegetarian dishes that were added to the menu are also very good a lot more options now. There is a good selection of wines and their ciders are very nice. All the staff are super friendly and it is a dog and children friendly place which is also nice.

Very nice place, the atmosphere is great. Food is awesome and prices are good. The service was excellent, Andreas was awesome!

The drinks were good but the service was non-existent. Was willing to write it off as them being busy but other people that arrived after us got served food before we were even asked if wed like to order (no service since our drinks were served). We couldnt manage to get anyones attention either. Im sure their food is probably good (it looked and smelled greatbut after a hour before we were had anyone pay attention to us, I was ready to go anywhere else for dinner.

The pork ribs and sushi was out of this world.Everything so delicious, and the service excellent.Will definitely go back on a regular basis.

The place is pretty amazing. I cant comment too much on the food as I only had the choc shake (which as alrightand the fries (which were fantastic). I will say though the service was good and would go again to try out more of their contents. Will update accordingly if I ever do.

We ordered sushi and the homebrewed beer. It was the best sushi we ever ate. The ingredients were all fresh. The beer was tasty. The service and the place itself was dandy.

Been driving past the Brewery for a while now and we visited a couple of days ago I will be visiting again soon and Im sorry I kept driving past and never stopping, great food,beer and staff very friendly was just the perfect place too visit..

A modern micro brewery with authentic character and great variety of beers on tap. You can spend a few hours hours here and have a good experience. Didnt have any food, but the menu looked promising.

The brewery never dissapoints especially with excellent service from Nolan! Even gave our non alcoholic friend a water shot when we ordered shots!10 out of 10 would reccomend!

Good food. Friendly waiters. Clean ablution. Music and live music out of this world. Highly recommended.

Stopped over for a quick meal. The loaded basket was absolutely delicious! They were very busy so service was not the best, but understandable. So much to offer, would love to visit again when in Hermanus.

Honestly this place could be so nice. It has a really nice location and food. We booked a table. We arrived and we had to search for someone and they couldnt have been bothered that we booked at all. It wasnt that busy so we just sat at the end of a table outside We then waited ages for someone to help us at the table and had to ask several people for menus etc. From then on everything service related was a struggle. We even struggled to pay. Wont be returning because when I have to work for service it really isnt a break for me to be going out. Such a pity and I hope I was the exception.

The Brewery is an awesome restaurant with a great atmosphere. I had the Hermanus Lager and Luigi pizza. Both were amazing. They also have a large outdoor playing area which was still closed when we were there, but it seems like a lot of fun although it is probably more suited to kids older than at least 7 years old.

Really worth the visit. Vibey atmosphere and beautiful setting. The food was great, very tasty and fantastic quality which was great value for money.Shout out to out waiter, Andreas, was so welcoming and helpful with great recommendations.We recommend you try the beer and cider tasting.

Nice venue but booked to sit in Taproom on Dineplan and the manager then moved us from our table next to the bar to a much smaller table in a corner because my daughter is 16 (under 18). This rule was not mentioned when booking to sit in Taproom was made online. Furthermore wrong orders were brought and food not brought out at same time resulting in half the party having finished their food before the rests orders had arrived. Service left a lot to be desired. Food was good.

Popped in for a quick tasting paddle after a long day out. Was easily accessible and staff were efficient in helping us. Lots of parking. Beer was good though I was a little disappointed they didn’t have an IPA and the grapefruit pale ale was out of stock. (Confused the brewery with Hermanus Brewery - apologies James - on previous posting of the review - now have a second brewery to visit. All good)

Made a pitstop today purely based on the sign from the road and was very happy we did. The venue is very stylish but not to the point that you feel uncomfortable. Also very spacious. I like that there are so many different sections ranging from smart interior, to cozy tables amongst the fermentation tanks and the outside benches. As we already had lunch plans we only stopped for a drink. I can definitely recommend their own Pale Ale but then they also have a very respectable tap selection. As well as a fun gin and cider platter. Sadly we couldnt sample the food menu but they definitely had some delicious offerings. Will definitely be back soon to spend the afternoon.

On the way into Hermanus you will find the Whale Crier Restaurant and Brewery located at the Hemel-en-Aarde Village. If you are looking to relax somewhere with some good beer, good food and a good vibe this is the place for you. As you walk in you can immediately sense that they wanted to emulate a German Beergarden feel. There is an inside seating area as well as a large outside area with big spacious beergarden style tables suited for both small and large groups. We first did a beer tasting, which consisted out of their own beers as well as from another brewery, and thereafter we enjoyed a draught of our favourite one and some delicious burgers. They day we visited there was also some live music which just rounded off the entire experience nicely. They are still very new, but I can see them fast becoming one of the go-to places in the Hermanus area. Looking forward to my next visit.

We visited Hermanus this weekend, and decided to pop into The Hemel-en-Aarde Brewery for the first time. In my opinion, they have THE BEST banting burgers ever, served with butternut chips, sweet potato, bacon, cheese and all the trimmings! HUGE, DELICIOUS, and only R110.The place has an awesome vibe! They have LIVE music on Saturday afternoons, creating a real market feel. Definitely on our cards when we visit Hermanus again!Ive rated it 3 stars as the service was very slow. This place is AMAZING! We had lunch here the one day and went back the next to have dinner! Everything was delicious, but I have to say the ribs were out of this world. Highly recommend!
