TGI Fridays in Waterbury

Great service, friendly environment. Food was good, iced tea good. The place was clean.

I do not know what is up with this location, but last 4 times I went , it was not great.Last week I went and girl was miserable beyond words, no manners, and seemed bother we were there. I had a gift card and cash and she proceeds to deduct the cash first BEFORE the gift card, hellooo use the gift card first THEN pay rest with cash! She refused to give back a receipt as she was "out of paper". I was going to tip nothing if i could but gave her the left over gift card as I wasnt coming back.Time before that, girl was sweet and well mannered but would not take our drink order as the bartender was " new , slow and did not know how to make drinks yet"... well not my problem when i go to have a drink with my spouse there.Last 2 times before that... kid was a lost cause... forgot my dessert and brought out my melted ice cream. This location needs to get there act together and making Waterbury look even worse than what it already is!

Food is not like it use to be. Tuff steak and shrimp seemed over cooked.

This place is so much better than Chilis! Better service, better food... better everything! Theyre implementing a DJ and Kareokee nights. Go check them out!!

Wasnt the best atmosphere. Someone almost started a fight. Food was edible, mediocre. Service was nice.

This pasta was extremely bland i hated it, it literally had 0 flavor not only that my strawberry lemonade tasted horrible like toilet water or something & I received my order wrong through door dash it was supposed to be one slushy and one lemonade I received 2 horrible lemonades this was a waste of $34 .. 😐

On Saturday night my friend and I came in Fridays for drinks and appetizers. The bar was packed! Tiffany was the bartender. She really made sure we had a great time. She was so attentive, and had a great attitude. She made sure to keep checking in on us even though she was really busy. The peach sangria she made us was a hit! We will deff be back to see her!

the burgers were good but the best is their mozzarella sticks yum !!! oory gooey cheese fries were ok but nothing like chilis or road house

You guys need better cooks… The burgers feel rushed, went there 2 months ago and 4 of us ordered well done burgers and they all came back burnt but pink on the inside. Decided to try again on the 15th, this time the burger wasn’t burnt but was still pink on the inside. There weren’t even any customers besides me and my gf so I don’t understand why the cooks don’t take their time to cook well instead of rushing out orders of terribly cooked food. My order was already done super fast after ordering and while it might be fine for other foods, please take a little more time with burgers and steaks… Everything else there seems fine but that.

I walked in with my husband, we were seated immediately… however the seat was covered in water… We ask someone if it can be wiped up and the lady told us to go ask someone else! I ended up grabbing napkins and doing it myself!! I finally sit down and the ground under our booth is COVERED in water.We went to ask to be seated elsewhere only to not be able to find someone! We ended up walking out!!

I ordered through door dash and half my order wasn’t even there… they say they didn’t have rice but they didn’t have the dasher let me know so I could replace it with something else or change my order!!! Bad business!!! Oh and did I mention after $53+ I’m still hungry!!! This has got to be illegal!!! My wife and I are highly disappointed!!!

Quiet 🤫 and relax night 🌙, the bartender was on point delicious drinks and the potato skins 😋 👌.We like to eat Spinach Artichoke Dip but they dont have the chips🙄.Everything at the eye was clean but they need to clean the 🧱 walls. The smell were everywhere and isnt good. Deep cleaning can help!!!

Out of my places to go eat list. Food was really bad. Ribs had no flavor and lukewarm at best, fries were soggy.Sizzling chicken, shrimp and cheese wasnt any better, overcooked. It went down hill compared to few months ago.

Annie my waitress was amazing and the General manager is super engage with all the customers!!! amazing spot !!!

SooI ordered online and got the chilly cheesesteak burger with a side of mac n cheese. When it arrive at my house the burger was basically a normal burger with I kind u not one pepper in it and pretty much no cheese sauce. The egg roll that was supposed to be included was missing and I paid over 13 dollars for this burger just for it to not include everything it was supposed to. I admittedly ate the whole thing because at that point I was starving and it would be too much trouble with it being a delivery. Also I paid for it. But Im very disappointed. 2 stars cus Im not hungry anymore, but Im so disappointed. They shouldnt advertise one thing, then deliver something completely different and underwhelming.

Food is fine, what you would expect from a Friday’s, but the service is a complete joke.

Stopped here on our trip. Food was very good. Salad was crisp and delicious and burgers were fantastic. We were very surprised at the high level of food here.

I loved everything, especially the dessert, the food was to the point, the cocktails were great, the attention of the staff was always attentive, something that always caught my attention when I go to places like this, I never see the floor manager, and on this occasion always I saw him attentive and watching everything they did, a gentleman with long hair very attentive people so we always need everything to always be perfect

Extremely understaffed but the employees were very friendly and tried their best. Shame the business puts so much pressure on them rather than hire enough employees. 5/5 for the staff, 1/5 for Fridays corporate treating them like this.

Ordered take out from here with relatively low expectations, but tgi exceeded every possible expectations I could have. For a Monday at 12 pm they had good customer service and the food was great. TGI fridays still got it !

Takes a lot for me to leave a bad review but after three strikes this is it….. this TGI Fridays location at 335 Union Street in Waterbury is a 50/50 between having a average delivery or a disaster. Guess I’ve gotten the bad side of the coin three times in a row recently. This above is literally what we been getting for fries, almost look like leftovers. Aside from that, the avocado chicken sandwich has had a perfect record of having no avocado.Almost feels as if whoever is filling up these orders is purposely doing the worst job possible…… things has gotten worst since February 2022.Maybe things in person are different but if ordering delivery, consider a different location or a different place altogether.

Food is good but, do not order beers they smell and taste off. When I complained the waitress was rude and didnt care. She had asked if I didnt want the drink and i said yes because i was going to pay for it still 4 minutes later she walks by reaches over and grabs my drink and walks away she never came back to give me any other drink I had to put my arm out so she would stop and finally ask what it was that I wanted the place was empty only thing from keeping this place from going down is how nice and good the cook is

Food was absolutely disgusting ordered chicken fingers that was fried in dirty oil they tasted burnt. Menu needs an upgrade and so does the interior.

My card was charged $6 extra without my authorization even though I left the tip on the table. So they just tip themselves with my card. Awful. I am extremely disappointed. Shame on you. I hope and pray that $6 that you took from my pocket to leave in pocket a deep whole.

I come here all the time and the service sucked this time . The two people I was with food came out before me and I timed it 7 mins difference and I just got mine (a burger. I spoke with the manager Hector and he just gave an excuse . I told him that once my waitress finally came to the table I told her and then my food suddenly comes out . My food was just sitting . Never again ! The manager was no help either!

Food was good. Waitress was really nice. However I went to restroom only to see a waitress use bathroom but did not wash hands afterwards. When inquired as to whats going on, was told that they have wash stations but really I still find that nasty and who making sure that they are actually hand washing after they leave the bathroom without washing it. Cleanliness means good health for those you serve. Wash hands please. I dont care if you wash it twice. Just wash them.

Went for lunch on a Sunday and they were out of a lot of items we were looking to order; potato skins, garlic parmesan boneless wings and some other sauces. There was only one waitress for the entire restaurant and her and the hostess were doing their best at fulfilling all the tables but they were too busy to keep up. Took 40 minutes to get our check and we received the wrong bill. This visit was a disaster.

There was a strand of hair in my fries, it felt like the waitress was going home and back between visits, and it took 20 mins for us to get asked what drinks we wanted.Food was fine though.

We shared 3 appetizers. There were absolutely no bottled beverages or carbonated drinks - zero, zilch, none. No explanation. No apologies. For the amount of time it took to get a water (without iceand an iced tea was over 20 minutes. By the way, my water came with ice.

Enjoyed my visit here today with family. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. We came for lunch. I had the large cobb salad. Excellent. Burgers were a favorite in the group. They were eaten up. My sister got salmon which he liked.At lunch today there was a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

The waitress seemed to be off. She brought a coke when my friend asked for a sprite and they ended up putting my ribs on my friends plate & asked me to just take my ribs off her plate after she had already ate from the plate. I love my friend but COVID DELTA OMICRON 😳. Not professional at all. Then the cook or dishwasher came out as the manager & asked if we could just take the ribs from the bottom share. SMH terrible experience but only in waterbury

I went here on my own late on a Wednesday night which I know isn’t exactly ideal for a restaurant but regardless, Savannah was such an accommodating nice and friendly server. She is the type of person that can make eating out preferable to the takeout craze that is going on in the world right now. An awesome experience here,request her if you can because she’s greatI neglected to mention earlier that I lost my debit card that night and they kept it in safe and sound

I thought they were under staffed but I kept seeing more and more staff. Waited and stood 10 to 15 minutes before the lady in front of me couldnt wait anymore and get the bartender to seat the line of people waiting. Waited or than 30 minutes before our orders were taken. The waiter came to our table and didnt have a notepad, I said you should get one and he assured me he would remember... Of course he did and our orders were wrong. We never got our appetizers, and they way me and my son got our meat was wrong. My wife got the wrong sides as well. The bartender was also our server and running back and forward, I think he was doing the best he could, I think he just needs more training and better resources. I have a rule that I dont ever send back food, Ive seen way to much and know better, and the food was good even though it really wasnt what I ordered.

Excellent service. Excellent food. I would come again. Had Salmon and Steak.

I dined here on Wednesday 9/29 & I have to say Im very disappointed in the Friday chain based on how they operate this location. Moderately clean, poorly staffed & mediocre food.However, a shining light is their employee, waitress & bartender Teesh (127). She was the ONLY employee greeting the guests, working the bar & serving the tables during the lunchtime rush. Actually, she was the ONLY employee I saw throughout the entire resturant over an hour and a half period! Even better she did it with professionalism & a smile on her face the entire time, accurately. Your team member (Teeshin this location needs to be appreciated, shown respect & frankly given a promotion & raise. She is the definition of the type of employee you want in any line of work. Frankly, if I return in the next week or 2 & she is still there working like she did I intend on offering her a career in one of my establishments on a Management fast track program. Treat her right & get more employees like her. 👍

This is the first and last time I come to this place. The worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I wish I could leave 0 stars that’s how disgusting and bad it was. First, we waited a long time to get serviced then when we ordered our food and it was cold and bland I will never ever ever come back to this place. What a waste of time and money. Just awful

Very few patrons at time of visit. We were seated immediately upon entry and drink order was taken. Menus were available at table, but removed after ordering. My son had a Philly cheese steak sandwich and I ordered the fried shrimp. After the order was brought to the table, we realized that we had no dinnerware and had to request it. Its a little hard to eat coleslaw with just your fingers. My son said his sandwich was okay, but I felt that the batter on the shrimp was too salty and the fries and shrimp had a particularly oily taste. Our wait person asked us if we wanted a drink refill, but there was a considerable period of time passed, then we had to ask a second time for refills. Based on this experience, we probably wont be back.

Horrible I have not gone to Fridays in years and for some reason I wanted some good appetizers. The potatoes skins were dry and looked like they were reheated. The egg rolls we dripping oil. The burger was like dry like eating cardboard. The only half decent item was the dessert.

I have to tell you since a staffing shortage everywhere I read recent reviews everywhere and Fridays didn’t disappoint. Our waitress I believe her name was Leahn and she was great. Didn’t mess one thing up, food was excellent, no wait at all. I was very impressed with the service and taste of the food. One thing I wouldn’t recommend was the chicken and five cheese tortellini alfredo. The tortellini was red. My daughter said chicken was good but tortellini was funny. No idea the noodles were red. But honestly no real serious complaints which is nice when we go out.

We recently visited, and I have to say it was not a good experience. There was only one waitress serving. She was doing her best to wait on everyone. Half of the tables were dirty because she had no time to clean them. The manager was trying to assist, but, service was slow. Perhaps someone in the kitchen could have come out to help for a few minutes to at least make the restaurant look clean.

Pretzel app was very good. Everything else including service was not. Upon entering we were greeted and asked where we would like to sit. Then the person took the people who just walked in door after us to a seat. Like we did not exist. Very rude. I don’t think I would return to this location. Management needs to look at the reviews and TRAIN STAFF better.

We called ahead to make a 5:45 reservation since we were a party of 7. When we got there we were told there would be a 20 minute wait despite the fact that we called ahead to give the restaurant adequate time to accommodate our party. We watched people finish eating and come out of the restaurant as well as watching people walk into the restaurant and get seated before us. We were told that the two larger tables were taken and that we would have to continue to wait. We noticed a set of three smaller tables that were close together and we suggested that we just sit there which they let us do, but we had to suggest it and push them to do this. They should’ve suggested this or came up with a solution instead of ignoring us completely. After we basically sat ourselves...we then sat there without being waited on and without menus or drinks for another 20 minutes. The manger kept looking over our way but never said anything or tried to help the situation. All he did was avoid our party like the plague, staying as far away as possible the entire time we were there. When we finally got a waitress she had a horrible attitude and messed up a good portion of our order. She stated that she was sorry and that she was off of her game tonight...yet she did nothing to try to make up for our terrible dining experience. I have never in my entire life not left a tip on a bill but I just couldn’t do it. I honestly had a hard time paying the bill. This was by far the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in my 34 years of living. On our way out there was a family talking to the manger and apparently their experience was just as bad as ours. And I overheard the manager trying to speak over them and not listen to them. This location is a disgrace and needs new management and staff immediately

Let me start with I’m not one to write a review. I’ll tell you write now, don’t bother going to this restaurant. Wait the 30 minutes up the road at Texas road house. Went to this TGI fridays for that exact reason except when we walked in the door of tgi there was no one there to greet or seat us. Had to find a hostess, then we sit to have to find our waitress who said she would be right with us. We waited 15 minutes and she never even came back to ask for our drink order. We decided to leave when table next to us said it took over a hour to get there food. This is a badly mismanaged restaurant. I don’t know how they are still in business. We went next door to McDonald’s and got 5 star service, no joke. Don’t bother at this location unless you are cool with finding your own table and waiting over a hour to get your food. I know I’m not

Got a wrong order. Ordered sliced chicken and pasta-got beef cutlet. Chicken and beef meat was overburned. Salad was good. Drinks...4 of 5...not the same as on menu images.

The service was courteous, establishment clean, food always good, BUT the specialty cocktails are Spectacular!! 💕🍹

Brittani is the Best Server of the day. Food was on point drink is very good.

Service was a bit slow, like they were short staffed, but it didnt appear busy. The appetizer was good, as were the soups. Our salad had some brown pieces in the lettuce, which was clearly noticeable. Our server was very polite and had a genuine smile, she was also bartending. Overall I would probably only come here for appetizers and drinks.
