TCS Camping Luzern-Horw - in Luzern, Switzerland
Beautiful area, lovely site
Great
Great campsite near Luzern. Situated on the lake and access to a swimming area in the lake. Bathrooms and showers were clean and the staff was friendly. Would definitely recommend.
Great place to camp with a lovely view of Rigi. All of the facilities seemed just fine and we made a reservation easily online.
Nice and clean, hot showers, tap water for drinking, food available, they even give you a pass for free transport to Luzern, but unfortunately the guy from the reception (who worked there for 2 yearsdidnt know the camping regulations, especially point 6, in which its written that if the reception is closed, you can choose a spot and put a tent on it. When we explained that to him, he said nobody reads that and that he should take out that article from the intern rules. In another TCS Camping (in Interlaken), in the same situation, the staff indicated politly to install the tent and after the reception will be open, to go at the office and pay.
Tutto perfetto, ci siamo trovati benissimo. Personale disponibile e gentile.
Very nice campsite. Not too big, both the site as the pitches. A beach is very nearby for which you get free tickets. Also free bus tickets into city center. Ideally located next to highway. Would visit again.
Love this
Tidy, great views and close to nice beach for swimming in the lake. Good for passing the night or spending a few days sightseeing in and around Luzern.
Good camping to stay for a visit to Luzern or when you go from the Netherlands to e.g. Italy. Camping is surrounded by mountains with a beautiful view on Mount Piltatus. The crew is so friendly. I really like them.
Service from the guy is an absolute disaster
Nice showers and bathrooms. Nice little beach nearby. Staff is not too friendly or helpful. Area is quite small and crowded, can be noisy. Not nice for tents.
Clean, Nice, Respect to the workers, 40€ is a fair Price to the service incl. Electric and WiFi.
Good camping, clean and working amenities, a few minutes walk from a bus stop close to city centre.
Fully booked...
Super
Super
The best camping Ive ever been.Super clean facilities and very friendly staff
Very nice camping
Standard campingSaadly no common place with tables or similar.Infrastructure is ok.A place in the shower to put the clothes would have been nice.
Good location but a bit noisy when there are football matches on as is right by the sports park.10 minutes walk to town and good bus service, 4 an hour to Lucerne, also great for bike rides.
Far more expensive than any other site in our 6 week camping trip across Europe, 41 CHF to pitch in a horrible tiny space behind a row of caravans, or 51 to have a more decent pitch near the lake. The owner seemed very worried about keeping the residents happy and wouldnt even let us trail our electric cable in front of their caravans!! No parking on site which means that everyone has to drive to and fro to unpack and then repack which is a pain for a one night stay.On the plus side, the facilities were clean, the local swim spot (5 CHF ticket included in your camp feewas nice and there is a free bus into Luzern every 15 mins.
Clean, friendly, and nice location.
It was great
Goodman place bit on the costly side
Great clean lovely people
Clean, friendly and for Switzerland the price wasnt too bad.
It was bed experience. It’s not able to park inside a car! When manager said to us, he almost hit me. So i’d like to visit another site! Never gonna get there! Naver ever.
They offer only whats necessary and that is only if youre prepared well enough, especially if you camp with a tent. Even a siple request for power can become an issue cause there might be no empty slots to plug in your cable. They are quiet expensive compared to other campings. Also no place for the car beside the tent. You have to park outside the camping in a rather small parking place and that is IF you are lucky enough to find an empty space. If you take your car for a ride in the city in the afternoon its possible that you wont find an empty space when you come back later in the evening. Toilets are too far from some tent places and the gravel they have instead of tarmac does not help in terms of quietness especually at night. For those that have skin or other issues with the sun, the camping provides just few spots of shade, which can possibly result into an issue as well. One other thing thats unacceptable is some employees behavior who was quiet arrogant, super annoying the least and bordered with rudeness at some point. Worst camping Ive been ever. If I could, Id give No star at all. If you plan to camp in Luzern, try to find elsewhere and avoid this one at all costs. They dont deserve the money they ask for at all.
Small camping, outdated sanitary buildings. Not recommended.
Its a good place to say. The view from the camping to the mountains is spectacular! The facilities are clean. I recommand this place.
Nice camping site with a good view
Nice place with extremely friendly and polite people at the reception
Very good place with great views
Expensive without getting more for the cost. Lake is beautiful, showers and toilets are clean, but so are the other campgrounds. All in all, Im a little disappointed.
Excellent camp site staff fantastic very helpful the man on reception speaks great English and was so very helpful made our visit so good we stopped off on way home for one night but stayed 2😀
Not the best. Looks much better in pictures. The ground is full of stones. Soo expensive! Was hassle all round. We paid €54 for two tents on one plot. To make a comparison, Im about to review a 5 star camp in Bitburg. That cost us half the price and was amazing! And had a swimming pool.
Mega
We have stayed one night, the last thursday,2 people and tent.First of all,the pitches are really bad,not grass, its full of stones and concrete. The sanitaries are ok.The campsite is located by a soccer club, which played till 10pm and after they got party with loud music and shouts all night. We couldnt sleep well, very noisy..The surroundings not pretty. It is also expensive for what you get,39 CHF per night.By the way,the receptionist was fair and made me 10% discount for the trouble.
Lovely 4 nights
Clean, higher facilities, cheap, easygoing and friendly. We had three super fun days. A very nice lake near the camp. Clean services and many more. We arrived late but no any problems. We had a plan for one night but we stayed 3 nights. Great campsite
Hot ShowersClean ToiletsLate Check-inTri-Winning!
Great campsite with welcoming staff on the lake shore. If you have time take the walk along the lake into Luzern!
Very nice
We stayed here for 4 nights with our tent in the month of July. We didnt make any reservations and there were still some free spots, even though the weather was super.Overall we were very happy with our stay. The tent spot was nice and the facilities were kept clean during the whole day. Price per night was expensive compared to other European campings but reasonable in Swiss. Hot showers/wifi/cooling/electricity was free, which is pretty nice and not everywhere the case. The lake wasnt directly accessible from the camping but you get free tickets to the nearby swimming area, only a 2 min. walk. Its pretty nice but you can also go for a longer walk (direction Winkeland find a more private spot to swim. The only negative point was the noise coming from the nearby highway and train passings. But this isnt a problem when staying in a camping car or mobile home. It also not allowed to keep your car next to your tent, they have to stay on the parking grounds next to the check-in, so theyre save.TCS Zeltplatz is great for people who like the smaller, more intimate campings. We were very happy with our stay and this camping and their management certainly deserve our recommendation.
It could get better. The price is high - normal for Zurich
