Delicious food and good portions. Paying separately at the end was difficult. Usually water is free when they serve it at the beginning but here we had to pay at the end. They should have atleast mentioned that.

After following suggestions from locals we visited Loukoulos. The location is perfect by the sea. Food quality in meat, fish but even veg option was super nice. Tasty and fresh and fast when serving. Unfortunately they were understaffed and people working there were kind of rude, specially the guy in charge. We waited 20 min for the bill after asking 5 people, 7 times. At least they offered free desert with the bill. The prices are surprisingly low, for 4 male adults more than enough food 65€.

Food is very good, service is ok if you are lucky enough to get a table. Seems to be for locals than for tourists as is almost impossible to book a table even if you ask for with 2-3 days in advance.

Service is superior! We ate outside, across the street from the restaurant, and the waiters were on the ball. Cant say enough about the incredible food! Tender grilled octopus, perfectly fried calamari, crunchy fried zucchini slices, fabulous salad, smoked fish, and a mixed dessert plate to please everyone. We shared everything and repeated the octopus, calamari and zucchini slices. The view is breathtaking! Also, weve been here before, and we drove over 220km, to eat again at Loukoulos Tavern!

My actual opinion is 3 stars but it is an overrated taberna. Thats why ı gave 1 star.

Worst staff ever ! Everytime we go there the waitress was not friendly at all !! Until last time when we went and tried to talk with the owner about the menu who didn’t want to hear from us and left us talking to ourselves!! That s a really disrespectful And irresponsible behaviour towards his frequent clients.

Horrible and rude attitude from waitress and the owner ! We used to eat there every weekend but still showed zero respect by their side asked to take a look at the fishes like we used to do but he didn’t just refuse but he answered with total ignorance and bad manners… said we never allow that and walked away … not going there again and won’t recommend it to anyone there is plenty of other seafood restaurants which offer same quality food but friendly !

The view from the terrace worth every penny and the dishes are tasty...nothing spectacular, but tasty, fried squid and fried octopus were our favourites...

Very delicious food, the waiting time is moderate, our food was brought time by time and the waiters werent rude nor friendly, as they didnt really talk to us that much. Had a very great time, but they didnt want to locate our table next to the sea, so we just sat in front of the main bar.

Being from turkey, everything was really expensive to me. I dont really know how expensive the norm is in greece so i wont be able to give an opinion that mayters on the price. I didnt get much just a sparkling water and a toast the food was decent but the scenery was amazing.

Feta cheese with honey and sesame is amazing. Calamary both grilled and fried is very good. Greek salad is always a good choice. Malagousia white wine is also very very good.

Loukoulos is the perfect place to discover Greek food. I really liked visiting there during my trip and they offered free dessert and it was the cherry on the top of the experience! You should really have dinner during the sunset hour, the ambience is really pleasant.

Seafood or meat. The best place to eat in Alexandroupoli. Do not forget to make reservations on weekends. Our friend Dimitri is the King of Taverns, since the beginning.

These guys are quite spoiled w number of customers. When we seeked for none smoking tables they suggested us to start smoking! Such a rude people. There are plenty good places. Avoid ill mannered people.

It was super busy. We managed to get a table inside, the only one available🙁. You need to make a reservation in advance for a full experience. The food was delicios!

Please dont go there. The stuff’s attitude is unfriendly. They dont like Turkish people. We dont know the owner of the place. But the waiters didnt want to serve us. We were sitting by the sea. We ordered fish and the birds were coming to take some fish from our plate. We called the stuff to help us. They came and said that we cant do anything. But when Greek people want something, they were very quick and friedly.

Food was good but not outstanding, the grilled food was a bit too long grilled = 3-4. Service = 2. Total = 3. At the beginning, the service was fast, much too fast. We had the feeling they wanted us to eat fast, so that we leave fast. (I make it short here, but I could mention a couple of details why we got that feeling). But when we waited for the change money they first forgot it (we waited a while and then asked), and then it took a while to fix this.

One of the best restaurants Ive ever been. The dishes are fresh and extremely tasty. Fish, octopus, zucchini ...... everything is just delicious. Although the tavern is always full the food comes very quickly. I have nothing else to say but that you must visit this place.

Great food but very slow service even if there were only 4-5 tables with people.Seems that 2500+ reviews on Google gives you the atitudine of ignoring the customers.

The best restaurant in the city. We tried shrimps, octopus, pork steaks, meatballs,zucchini and everything was very tasty. Surprisingly the bill was not so high. If you visit in Friday or Saturday night, its advisable to make a reservation. The service is also perfect and they know very good English. Location is also very good. Enjoy :)

Very good food, especially the meat dishes. Sometimes it takes time to be approached by waiter, however this is usually because the place is full of guests. Tables at the beach are romantic, and also the interior is nice during the winter time. Prices are ok and portions are big.

If you ever find yourself in Alexandroupoli and are craving seafood, do yourself a favor and eat here.I definitely recommend making a reservation for 8pm, so you can see the sky change colors as the sun goes down and that also is the time the city shuts down the street and it turns into an open mall for pedestrians only.#tavernaloukoulous #alexandroupoli #openmall

I liked this place, it serves the usual greek tavern food. What made an impession was that it was packed full and we had to wait to be seated and the restaurants nextdoor were practically empty. It was delicious but do not expect anything special.

We usually go here for a nice dinner. You can have uzo (greek spiritand traditional tavern food (calamari, feta, horiatikiAll vegetables are very fresh and tasty. Seafood is also great. Must try fried calamari. Please note that in the evenings the road which Loukulos is located on is being closed to vehicles and becomes a pedestrian area. You must park your car in the back streets to avoid parking penalty.

Rich menu and good prices. Tables next to sea. traffic closes after 20.30 so very relax moments at dinner.
