Szechuan Express in Mesa

They changed owners its now a Thai restaurant. Its small only about four tables but the food is good 👍.

Restaurant SOLD under new ownership and new name. Still good but different people and everything on the menu is 10.95. staff was very friendly. The curry was bomb.

I ordered shrimp chow main. The shimps are too small and taste bad. The whole dish doesnt really taste good to be honest. The owners are nice though.

Been going here for years we live in Queen Creek now and are happy to travel for amazing food!!

Food was fresh and decent. Sweet and sour chicken was made in an untraditional way. And was fatty. Wouldnt sub and upcharge my rice. Ended up spending 40 dollars on way too much food I didnt want for me and my lady. 2 stars because the building smells like sewage. Would like to be back to try something else but Im kind of turned off.

Went to get shrimp fried rice and teriyaki chicken. The fried rice was wrapped in foil and put into a styrofoam plate the chicken was old and refried with a half cup of teriyaki sauce. The only thing that was acceptable was the customer service.

We showed up twenty minutes before they closed. Three of us met there thinking it was open later. They served us great food and we never felt rushed. The Thai tea was incredibly delicious!

I work for a food delivery company and picked up an order. The place smelled so good amd so did the order I picked up. I went back later and tried it out. I got the house chicken and crab puffs. O. M. G. Was it amazing. It tasted home made. I frequented another chinese place but not any more. This place had become my go-to for asian dining. Delicious!

Ever since ive started at my new job, which is nearly next door to Szechuan, ive ordered this several times every month. I usually order the Thai Fried Rice with Chicken. Tastes just as authentic as my thai grandmas fried rice. The manager/staff are very friendly, as well

on the northwest corner of Dobson and southern in Mesa this little restaurant its a cool little place maximum seating 16 people its small but the food is really good the portions are giant the staff the open of really nice its definitely worth making the trip over there

Everyone’s is always kind and polite, and the food is SO GOOD. I literally crave their seafood soup every other day. I don’t normally leave reviews but this local business deserves our attention 🔥🔥🔥

I ordered the Thai spicy chicken. While the flavor in itself was amazing I was a little bit disappointed in the amount of chicken. All of the sizes were about the size of a penny and was probubly about an oz.

Was fast though the food was rather mediocre very odd tasting rice and sauce though the chicken itself was quite good.

Love the food and options, but sometimes the wait can be too long.

I dont know why anyone wouldnt give this place 5 stars. This isnt some fancy restaurant with all the frills, its Chinese / Thai delivery guys. What are you expecting? And also, what more could you ask for? The pineapple curry is delightful. I get the chicken and ask them to add veggies as well. Extremely extensive menu since they have a full Chinese menu and a full Thai menu. Indecisive? With the wide variety, you wont have a problem finding something here. The teriyaki chicken is very good. They have a family special that can really help you save a buck.

I was recommend this place by a friend and it was really good i had it delivered they asked me how spicy from 1-10 i said a 5 n it was spot on id order delivery again and Id like to try dinning in too.

Grilled tariyaki chicken combo was delicious. Staff was friendly even though my delivery order was late in the day. Will definitely be ordering again.

I lived in Thailand for 2 months just after college. This is the first time in 5 years Ive found 100% authentic Thai food. They do not hold back on the spicy. If youre having doubts, medium or below.

Im very disappointed...I spent over 40 bucks and didnt eat more than one egg roll..I paid extra for fried rice and it wasnt even fried.. the food is not that good and I wouldnt order it again.. on a positive note..the service is friendly and the wait wasnt long.. but the next time i order Chinese ...I am going elsewhere

The questions we asked were not answered about the menu. The menu is very pricey to only receive a plate full of onions. The whole left side of this container is onions, so of course, it tasted like onions, I dont really even like onions. I have been to so many Chinese food places that serve Kung Pao, this is hands down the worst ever! 😡

Okay for starters, if you dont know where this place is located and youre trying to find it in the dark...good luck! LoL no, Ill try to help... its on the very far end, the very last bldg (south/westside. Thier sign is not lighted up at all.The Chinese food was okay, this place was not my all- time favorite, Id have to say. The lady that worked the cash register knew her stuff though..👌 she could tell you what ppl would order or like as well as herself. She was very nice.I had the orange chicken - the outside of it was really hard, 😒 Id fork it and it would almost push it off the plate. the house fried rice, it was really bland it had the small shrimp in it, that was a let down 😟 I really enjoy the large shrimp. (My opinion The egg roll was alright, along with the cabbage, that came with the meal.My husband had the Pad Thai (medium heatthat was actually pretty good. So Im rating this on my meal.. I guess Im going to have to try Thai..looks like that is where all the high ratings are coming from. One thing here.. They serve you good size helpings! Better luck next time and to you🍜🦐

I couldnt tell you about the food. I never got a chance to eat it. Put in an online order. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I showed up, and nobody, and I mean NOBODY showed up in the front of the restaurant for 10 minutes! Absolutely the WORST customer service I have experienced in 50 years. So there you go. Take care of your customers. the internet goes a long way! If I could give negative stars I would.

They seem to run out of mango sticky rice often and Thai food can be a little pricey (dishes are like 10-15, Thai Tea is 5 for Large, and sticky rice around 6but the food is soooo goood! Also servings are larger so youll probably have leftovers and staff are polite.

Ive been coming here for the better part of 3 years and they havent once been disappointing. Im a huge fan of curry and have eaten it at many other more expensive or "classier" places and this place is still my one of my favorites. Their thai curries taste authentic and havent been over sweetened and are wonderfully spicy if you order them with anything over a 5 in heat (I prefer around 7 or 8). My personal favorites are the pad pong kah ree and the asian yellow curry. The staff are always very friendly, professional, and have never gotten a single order of mine wrong. Ive never experienced an issue with food borne illness as the woman below me claims and I have eaten here very recently, I assume she got an upset stomach and assumed that it must be a food borne illness.

Unable to take your order until after you give them your name, address, and phone number. So the food is now ice cold....

4 year old child and grown adult got sick from eating here. Called to ask for my money back because I am absolutely not paying to stay up all night with a sick child and pay more out of pocket to fix this establishments mistake, thinking they did, they only gave me 50% back not including our tip for the delivery. Ever have a hot date you need to lose 5-7 instant pounds 2 days before eat here and get sick, mission accomplished. Absolutely Disgusting.

I ordered the chicken fried rice and it was OK but the chow Mein tasted awful Like they used a pan that still had soap in it so I called to ask to get a something in exchange but they were rude and disrespectful and refused to do anything to help resolve the problem.. I paid for food I cant even eat.. never going here again!!!!

Ive only ordered Thai food and its one of the best restaurants Ive found. The only complaint I have is that half the menu is unavailable if a cook is gone.

I ordered the specialty chicken and it was not what I was expecting, but it was very delicious. I wanted to try something new and I wasnt let down. Also the delivery was pretty fast.

If you order the generic breaded chicken (ex. Sesame chickenthen youre going to have a bad time. Everything else is okay. I recommend the Pad Thai and/or the Drunken Noodle.

I ordered Yellow curry. It was better then average taste but any lack there was made up in the very large portions and friendly and timely service. I can only conclude that the one star review customers must be either former disgruntled employees or the competition looking to damage.

Just the smell of this nasty food is nauseating. This is the most discussing thing i have ever seen smelled or tasted. Manager wont be in untill 8 and its so nasty im willing to not get the refund just to get the smell out of here!!!

For the most part the food is really good. It may vary at times. I personally stick with the thai food. Portions are decent size

i called for a delivery at 6pm and i waited for 1 and a half hour. At 7.30pm, i called them again, they said they were on the way, and i waited for another half hour. I gave them the third call, and they never picked up the phone anymore.

just got lunch there, its probably better than any other place in the area but that is not saying much. kung beef was breaded which is unusual but it tasted decent. egg roll was good. i would eat there again mainly because it is, so far, the best choice near my work.

Love their peanut sauce.Their menu is seriously big! They have Chinese and Thai.Over a few visits Weve tried: Kung pao, grilled teriyaki chicken, beef and broccoli, crab puffs, chicken fried rice, chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken. All were pretty damn good. I dont think this is fancy gourmet Chinese food, but its cheap and I think a bit above average. Ive never been disappointed, Ill just put it that way. The person ringing us up has always been friendly too, whether it was a girl or guy. We keep going back.

You have to pick a quality label. Poor/Fair is more of a compliment than they deserve. Our experience was so bad we drove all the way back from Phoenix to return our order and made the very rude and unprofessional cashier give us our $ back. They claimed it was edible. ALPO in a can looked better than this. It consisted of an awful smell and disgusting taste Weve been going to this place since 2000. The owners are not the same, the staff have poor attitudes to say the least and the food is not even close not even a lil bit like it once was. VERY DISAPPOINTED & SAD WE NO LONGER HAVE A GREAT SZECHUAN RESTAURANT TO BRAG ABOUT. OVER PRICED AND NOT WORTH TRYING. GO ELSEWHERE!

we had been ordering from another place but never really cared for it, but then tried Szechuan express after receiving a flyer on our door and have been really happy with it. Great crab rangoons and chow main. We have also had the orange chicken and cashew chicken both have been super yummy! Staff is very friendly!

Delivery driver was horrible. He used racial slurs towards me when I decided I did not want the food, he assaulted my minor son. The manager was not better. Definitely dont order food here.

Love this place. Good prices. Good food. Just wish they delivered late night.

I have been going here for years - Good food, Pad Thai is my favorite! They work hard to make you fell welcome.
