Sycamore On The Hill in Amersham on the Hill
Description
As per usual excellent food and drink which is very competitively priced! Nice ambiance! I would certainly recommend a visit and you wont be disappointed!!!
MoreGood choice of brunch food available all day
Excellent coffee, excellent food, friendly and quick service. What’s not to like?
MoreExcellent food and coffee. We had the chicken parma which was served in a really soft bun, really well balanced dish with lots of sauce and salad. Very tasty and very good flat white.
MoreGreat coffee and tea. Cakes are fresh and tasty. Nice to have a change of choice from other competitors. So much nicer than your usual chains than offer very little for what they charge and dont give you a personal service.
MoreExcellent coffee and really friendly staff 😊
This place is great. Firstly, there’s an absolutely lovely vibe and the place is decorated nicely with plants. The seating is also nice. Secondly, the food is fantastic and the drinks were great too. The waitress was great at helping me to choose options for a low gluten Italian breakfast, which was fantastic. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place.
MoreReally lush, fresh, vibrant avocado and garlic mushrooms on sourdough toast and super friendly staff 😊
MoreGreat food and even better staff!
Great food, coffee and service, dont hesitate.
Great coffee and fabulous staff, an otherwise good experience spoiled by the very high noise levels. Please hang something beautiful - and acoustically baffling - on that bare brick wall, guys!
MoreNice coffee, nice food and cakes.
Delightful breakfast here this morning. Great coffee and plenty of veggie/vegan options. V friendly lady serving. Also enjoyed the feel good 80s soul music playing.
MoreLovely staff and cracking food!
Nice atmosphere, a simple but interesting menu, and friendly and helpful staff.
We have breakfast there every Saturday, very delicious and the staff is super friendly.
MoreA modern, informal, bright space that offers an eclectic breakfast and lunch menu with ingredients and flavours from both home and away. Theres exotic/unusual ingredients for people bored of the usual British fayre, but also dishes that will please more conservative palates. The atmosphere is relaxed with popular music playing (not too loudlyin the background. Food and drinks must be ordered at the counter, and you may have to ask to see a printed menu, because there isnt one visible on any walls or on tables. You may also need share a table, due to a couple of tables being very long and flanked with long benches. The food though is tasty (bread could be a tiny bit fresher), reasonably priced, and coffee is good! Well worth a visit.
MoreMost delicious food. Gorgeous staff. You have to try this place!!!!
Delicious coffee and food - staff absolutely lovely too! Cant wait to go back 🙂
MoreSo pleased that this lovely coffee shop is back open again - best sit-in coffee in Amersham (Goat Co. is also great)Yum. Yum. Yum.Photo is the chicken flatbread
MoreGreat food and service
Great place for lunch. Small menu but great choice, delicious food. Coffee is also excellent here. Staff are lovely and they have high chairs - so can take your little one too. Had the Korean cauliflower. Yum.
MoreLovely friendly cafe!
The wife and I were walking past and decided to pop in for a coffee, once inside and a quick glance at the menu it was obvious we were staying for lunch. I had the avocado on toast with chilli flakes and the wife went for the gluten free salmon and cream cheese sandwich. This was perfectly finished off with a cappuccino a hot chocolate and two of the best gluten free cakes I have ever met!
MoreGreat coffee and great veggie options. The avo on toast is awesome.
Very good coffee. Doesnt seem to have WiFi
Great coffee and tasties, and really nice staff, always friendly and with a smile.
MoreNice food. Good service and good coffee. I recommend this place.
Lovely coffee, great cakes!
Good coffee. Good atmosphere
I have been to Sycamore many times now since their opening. And to begin with I could forgive the slight unorganized feeling because the coffee was fantastic (and still is amazing, the best place to get coffee on the high street in my opinion), the food was simple and delicious and reasonably priced for Amersham and they were new. However, every time I have been back the feeling of disorganisation has yet to be remedied, the prices have increased and the quantity of food has decreased (which is fine there is still plenty to leave you feeling satisfiedbut there has always been some sort of restriction. On multiple occasions they havent had in stock the item I wanted to order, or theyve run out of bacon (which is crazyor I wasnt allowed to have fried eggs because they were only able to do poached eggs (still not clear on that one). The wait for food has become much longer as well and today I found myself having finished my coffee a full 20 minutes before my food appeared and not even hot. It was still a nice meal but it wasnt quite to the standard I would have liked. The cakes are amazing though, and theres always a great selection, and the staff are always very nice and super apologetic and accomodating (where they can beand I cannot fault them at all. I just think a little more organisation, more thought (and maybe extra staff in the kitchen?would go a long way.
MoreExcellent coffee and cake, excellent service by friendly staff, excellent ambience... excellent!😀
MoreGood coffee and food, serving staff very friendly too.
Great food, good service, a little gem.
Great staff, vegan and vegetarian options and everything on the menu looks amazing.
MoreLovely little cafe with a nice selection of vegan cakes. Menu has lots of vegetarian options and the staff are always really friendly and welcoming.
MoreGreat lunch and brunch options and delicious cakes
nice vibe; great decor; innovative menu, but quite expensive for a ‘light bite’. one of us had the salt beef was really fatty inside the sandwich :-/
MoreNice little cafe with a great looking interior. Coffee was delicious and a good selection of cakes and bakery goods. If you prefer an independent coffee shop with a modern Scandi feel, this is for you!
MoreGreat food
This is a really good cafe friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
Lovely atmosphere and staff. Coffee was delicious :)
Nice, bright place for a cup of coffee or a little bite to eat. Friendly staff.
Really good. Great brownies!!
Staff, coffee, and atmosphere all excellent.
YUMMY 😋
Lovely little spot!Food was options were simple, but the food was fantastic!Staff were delightful and friendlyWould definitely recommend you try them out
MoreFood is artisanal in style, most of which come on or with an absolutely gorgeous flatbread. Prices are about £7–9 for a main meal. I expected something sandwich sized and was instead served a very hearty large meal, with chicken covering the large slab of flatbread in a freshly made sauce. Dhal was reported to be delicious and filling.Vegan options are available. On a slow afternoon just after an average lunch time, food took about 10 mins for two mains.Coffee was smooth, a very well chosen and roasted bean. Espresso came with a delightful dark crema. Would definitely recommend this cafe for coffee lovers, though some might prefer a darker roast.Staff are lovely and happy to help.
MoreDelicious cakes and great coffee
