Endroit adorable et atypique petit déjeuner excellent avec un large choix en prime le personnel et surtout note particuliere a Kilian Merci a lui pour sa bienveillance sa gentillesse son professionnalisme et tout cela avec le sourire et une note de français très agréable

Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour durant deux nuits. La chambre était sympathique avec petite salle de bains privée. Le petit-déjeuner était copieux et véritablement de qualité.Nous avons également mangé au restaurant, les repas et service étaient de grande qualité.Nous avons aussi pu profiter de la plage privée et du bistrot près du lac. Cozy small rooms, split beds, where it seemed like everything creeked, the pillows the room come with were very flat, luckily management waived the fee for an extra pillow for each of our separate beds.

Absolutely amazing setting. So glad I found this restaurant. Absolutely amazing starter of pumpkin soup. 10/10. I dont even like pumpkin usually thats how good it was. They had one vegan option which my wife loved. Would be good to see a second vegan option. The main was good too with beef stroganoff and deserts are designer.The service was exquisite and we were served the right amount and left alone the right amount also.I cant wait to visit again soon. Highly recommend you give them a go.

In one word: okay... The hotel and the restaurant are just that, okay. Its even a bit pricey for what you get. Honestly, go to Luzern, find a nice hotel for the same price and youll have the restaurant with muuuuuuuch better service (which was incredibly slow hereand much better food (which was good, but not worth what we paid for)

The rooms and the food were great but as young persons we felt not as respected as older guests.

If youre in get page, congratulations you found the worst hotel ever...Everything looks dirty, everything is old, and guess what, you dont even have a bathroom or a shower.Run away from this hotel!

One shared toilet and bathroom is fairly tight. Floor of our room was at a super noticeable slope. Absolutely understand that the building is old but the creaky floorboards, the draft coming through the bottom of the door didnt really add at all. The restaurant and hotel across the road are presumably all owned together. Was a bit disappointed but the staff were friendly and helpful and beds were comfy.

Make sure you know what youre buying! Marketing this place next to the Schloss-Hotel is very misleading - the Swiss-Chalet is NOT a four-star hotel. Instead it is a one-star, dated lodge with cramped rooms which are hot and have one small window over a road. There is only one shared bathroom and one shower per floor, so if you are thinking of getting a room here, go across the road to the actual hotel. You would have to pay me to come back - 100+CHF is a complete ripoff for this kind of room. Im glad I only had to stay for one night!

As all in Switzerland, expensive!. But it was worth it. Marvelous location, very romantic and nice chalet with amazing breakfast. I just can recommend this place to everyone. Specially if you are looking for a romantic place to stay for a weekend or longer. The lake is just behind the chalet and its possible to get in the gardens to enjoy the view.

Restaurant- food was good. Service was appalling. Waited 1/2 hour to get menus, 20 minutes to get the order taken.

Ok place if you just crashing

We stayed here a while back. Not a bad place, about the least expensive near Lucerne. The room wasn’t bad, we had a shared shower/toilet, my head did touch the ceiling of the room we stayed in, so if you’re tall be ready to duck.Upon arrival there was little indication that we had to go across the street to the hotel to get our key and check in. Once we got that figured out we settled in.Overall a decent location, nice staff, not very noisy and has a certain Swiss feel to it which we appreciated.

Excellent staff, small but pleasant ‚country style‘ rooms. This makes for a real SWISS experience.

Awesome place with a retro feeling. Woonden lodge will make you nostalgic. Problem is height of the ceiling is very low and toilets are ok. But the restaurant is wonderful with all Swiss speciality food and breakfast. The place is about five minutes walk from Merlischachen railway station. The best part is the private garden or seating area or swimming place just beside lake Lucerne. The view from the place is just breath taking. One star is just for that. One can spend a whole lazy day watching the prinstine beauty. One spend a entire day in Luzern and a quite night at this place just 20 min from Luzern by train. Highly recommended.

my wife constantly hit on by tour guide willi flicker at this hotel. i hate this place.

Beautiful location, fair room size, the only problem was that the room was so warm that instead of staying 3 nights, we stayed there one night only. They dont even have fans for rooms.

My wife always wanted to visit Switzerland but also wanted to stay in a typical Swiss Chalet. The Swiss Chalet Lodged was our choice and it was the best.Besides the great views the very helpful and friendly staff the place has a beautifull setting, romantic feel about it very quaint. The breakfast are fantastic good variety of cheese breads cereals cold meats and champagne for the brave heart so early in the morning.In the afternoon you can sit outside enjoy a glass of wine and absorb the mountain view.At 55 years of age you have made a girls dream come true. Thank you Very much

Great location, honest fares, nice breakfast.

We spend beautiful evening in the bar. It has great romantic atmosphere. Interior in old wooden style. Next to tables with chairs and high chairs st bar you can enjoy rope swings. Great drinks prepared by very friendly barman. Live singer (not sure whether she is there everyday thoughand possibility to dance. Very good for group of friends and couples.

Great food, traditional environment. Friendly staff.

Too low ceiling and thick wooden bars running across the room. My head hit on the wooden bar twice early in the morning and it still hurts very badly.

Great place, with access to the rail if you want to visit Lucern or move on to other areas. I found the price very affordable, especially given the large buffet breakfast included.

This has a great location for a quiet weekend. You could see the lake and Lucerne from our balcony. The room was very nice, and the bathroom was excellent. Our room didnt have AC though so keep that in mind.
