Swigs Pub & Grill in Milwaukee

Bartender is incredibly rude. Kicked me out for having a passport for ID (after throwing some choice words my way). Seems to coast off of the regulars and are rude to everyone else.

We got two orders of wings and the chicken pot pie. When it came out one of the ordes of wings was pork and the pot pie was cold.

Stopped by for a burger and a beer. Added some wings too! Excellent food and excellent service. A nice find in an out of the way place.

Saw the Gap Brothers show last weekend. Good band. Between sets the music was too loud to visit.

Neighbourhood pub. The usual pub environment and pub food. A little understaffed given the number of customers - but serving and kitchen staff work very hard and are friendly despite being run off their feet!

The place was busy, one waitress and one person running the food. We ordered a few things and some didnt make it because they ran out. Overall a good place to go if your in the area looking for a local neighborhood pub.

Good time had a Band night we were there. The Handsome Devils and crowd made the place a good rocking venue. Will be back alot of fun and dancing

Went here with a buddy of mine and got a poutine. Poutine was good, the bar was lively and the staff were kind.

Classic dive bar, you gotta appreciate it for what it is. On Tuesday they have a great $6 wing special!

Ordered a poutine with the chicken sandwich tasted old but i ate it anyways... 6 hours later I had severe stomach cramps and vomiting.... not very pleased.

Looks like a rough place but it has great wings, great service and cold beer what more could you ask for?!?

I wish I could give a better review as the food is delicious. However I ordered takeout from here and was missing an order item. When I called to speak with the restaurant about it, I let them know that I would not order again from them as they did not give me the missing item, something instead of the missing item, or a refund for the item. When i listened to the explanation I told them I understand but would still not be ordering again. I said thank you have a good night and the person I was speaking with who I think is the manager responded with "have a terrible night". Do not recommend and will not be returning.

Popular place when a good band is playing. I couldnt get a place to sit, it was jam packed. I will return and come earlier.

Fun place. I mostly go for wings on special. Cheap drinks and friendly atmosphere and a comfortable layout. Definitely has the "neighborhood pub" feel missing from a lot of places. Only downside is sometimes the regulars are favored a bit for order priority, but not a big deal, and not unexpected at similar pubs.

Went to Swiggs for the first time, and i had a great experience. Landon really impressed me, as he was able to bartend, wait tables and serve food simultaneously. He seemed to manage this effortlessly, which was impressive. Ill definitely be back.

Great wings, great fries, great service. This place appears to have a lot of regulars which I think is always a great sign.

Little run down and very poor table layout, We had to walk around the entire edge of the bar to get in and out, There is no entrance path and tables are randomly everywhere and in the way. Very hard to navigate, Tables and chairs were rocking around while we were sitting in them. Food was decent and worth the visit but they need to do some maintenance and level their furniture, very hard to eat when the table rocks back and forth.

First visit, primarily to listen to Back at the Wheel band, which never disappoints! The food was satisfying but the service was remarkable! One waitress managed to take care of the room with efficiency unparalleled!

The food was great and the bartender was fun to hang out with. Fun little place.

Im new to the area, and have only had great service so far! Heather, Landen, and Melissa are very friendly and are very attentive, they already remember my order after a few visits! I already feel like a local hanging out with the regulars, which is nice after moving so far away from my usual place! Good prices, and the food has been excellent so far. Feeling very disappointed in a place I love going to that is close to home. Upon making a pick up order decided to add to the order spent 30 minutes calling and having the line be busy and leaving a message about adding to the order. Upon pick up remind the waitress that I thought she had forgotten to hang up the phone as I tried to place an order again right after and couldnt get through she then told me that she didnt know where the phone was and seemed more interested in the gossip that was happening at the end of the bar then dealing with me standing in front of her.

Went on Canada Day and food was great. Not too squishy but, was a little disappointed we were told to sit else where and not by the VLTs where we were seated. I understand the gamblers need a table but, geez seat us away from them first off.

Great little pub! Good food specials and just good food all around. Theres a billiards table and vlts so theres enough to do. The process are very reasonable and the environment if warm and welcoming. We were served by the bartender Justin and I must say it was some of the best service Ive ever had in a pub setting. Super attentive and very friendly, he made the experience very memorable. Anyhow full recommendation and would definitely return.

Great place to grab wings, they have specials on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for them and they are really good at Swigs. I live across the street so getting home is a breeze but its better than your average neighbourhood pub. Love the staff and the crowd. Fantastic local pub. Highly recommend you have a few drinks here.

I have been going here for years- though, not as much lately now that I live in auburn bay.Is it fancy? Not overly. But it’s my favourite pub nonetheless. Food is good. Wings are the best in the city- especially since they customize the wings for me when I request it ( Cajun ranch-amazing!)Prices for beer are great, and a cozy atmosphere.Only detract one start because the service can be hit or miss.Overall I highly recommend.

Good wings & ribs on special every Tuesday & Wednesday, great pricing, friendly staff and decent atmosphere. House beer is surprisingly good, especially at the price!

Swigs is a hidden neighbourhood gem! It looks dark from the exterior, but once you come in, it’s cozy and welcoming! The food is excellent and the french fries are some of the best I’ve EVER had! Great drink prices and the daily Happy Hour lasts half the day! Highly recommended!

Best place for rib special every thursday. Big selection of flavors dry&saucy and the ribs are not just battered little pieces of bone there is a good chunk of meat on them. Plenty of parking and tables too.

A friendly local pub that my friends took me to. I like how it is a smaller place, so you and a group can go and relax. Food is awesome, and staff are fun and efficient.

Have not been to this pub in a while. This bar is fantastic, pool tables, and a live music, GREAT STAFF, drinks and food. Could you ask for more? Give this place a try for local fun and drinks. Looks can be deceiving!!!😃

Now keep in mind I wasnt there long, they had a great live band playing rock & roll. The waitresses seemed to be keeping everyone well served and happy. It was a little small though, and I didnt get to taste any of the food. I would go back to see if their early evening crowed is better.

Super cool and friendly staff who are smart enough to not let a drunk drive home. The kitchen serves up real tasty grub. Tried the Super Hot pork ribs and the beef stoganoff, should have eaten more. The daily Specials are a great deal. Saw a couple of hot chicks eating the beef dip with gravy and fries, looked even better than the stroganoff. Live bands most weekends and a clean eight ball table. No darts just cool new VLTs. Their taps are clean so jugs of beer go down real smooth, I recommend Swigs House Lager. Overheard that breakfast is super tasty may have to visit today and check it out.Cheers.

Your best local neighbourhood pub! Love the events they have once in a while, so much fun and something different every time. Very good food and extremely friendly staff! Highly recommend it if you are in the area!!

Update 2017: I used to love this place, but wings have gone down hill and are consistently bad. Overcooked and overbreaded with uninspired sauces. Ive been coming for years but this is finally the last time, I wont be back.

A great place to socialize with locals. Currently a new cook has been offering unique specials for the day ... that are simply phenomenal! Triples on Fridays for $12. You cant beat the prices. And the bands and entertainment on the weekends are great. Go down and play some pool, the VLTs, and shake your bootie to the music!

Its always really busy on wing night so be prepared to wait. Your patience is rewarded with the best wings in the city period; lots of flavors and a big wing. A varied and satisfying menu is also available for those of you not interested in wings.

Awesome place. Doesnt look like much but the food is awesome. Came for wing night and was not let down. So good came back again couple days later and tried other stuff. Highly recommend!!

The Sunday jams are awesome! Its so friendly there. Very family oriented. The host of the jam Curt, is very generous with his time. And his set up is awesome! The fish and chips were really good!
