Sweet Sushi in Koeln
Description
Privilege
Good food, friendly staff, reasonable prices...Recommended...
Nice and cuteDelicious
Good food. It is normally very crowded and you cant book a table. So need to rely on luck!
MoreBefore covid it used to be the best sushi place to go. Now the quality drastically dropped, making it another low level sushi place. Just slightly better than an all you cam eat.Service is ok and quick.
MoreVery tasty. The best sushi in Cologne
Only cash. It is nice at eat noodles and rice roll.
The best sushi in Cologne. Its always full and loud, which I find taxing, but the sushi is worth hanging out here for an hour.
MoreThe sushi was amazing, the plum wine very cheap and the staff so fun to be around. Couldnt have asked for a better sushi night out
MoreSome of the best Ramen and Sushi I’ve had, very good service!
I recommend looking for another place. Fish quality is mediocre and with the amount they put into sushi they should be priced half they really are.
MoreExcellent sushi, super tasty
Well and again best sushi I ever tasted it’s not possible to pass by köln and not eat there edamame yummy
MoreTasty, good service, good menu. Decent priced. We were there on a weekday for a late lunch. It was busy but luckily they had a free table
MoreGood Sushi also for Takeaway
Best sushi Ive had, ordered the Matsu(menu), great combination of flavours, the soy sauce was delicious as well, wasabi was also tremendous and so was the kimchi.
MoreVery tasty and good quality fish. Though my friend was upset that the rice fell apart too easily, normally its a bit stickier.
MoreWe have eaten there many times before the pandemic and it was very good. Now we ordered a take away and it was a very disappointing experience. Sushi was much worse. Rice was falling apart and some of the fish sizes were very small.
MoreSuper tasty. Great choice and high quality food. My favourite sushi place so far in Cologne. :Can be quite packed, so a reservation is recommended. Was there several times and always had a good experience.
MoreAs good as the frist place in the inner city! Really good "orange Roll", also the vergetable version of it is fantastic. My personal number one is still "ZEN" in Lindenthal, but this is definately worth tasting. The thai chefs can also make good red curry and a tasty "duck thai with soy sauce". Udon soup is japanese authentic but really tasty anyways.
MoreVery nice sushi restaurant, you could see the food being prepared just in front of you.Just amazing sercives!Very fast and responsive to our needs.Maybe the only downside was the strong fish smell-which is to be excepted in a sushi place-but a great place to eat overall 😄
MoreGreat location in the centre of Cologne, the place is very busy so make sure you give yourself time to wait. For a table and eat.The food was very good as were the staff and I would recommend coming here if youre into fresh produce and a variety of dishesWe had a duck ramen and a bunch of sushi and sushi rollsAll 3 of us were full to the brim and the prices are very good for the portionsCash only was a little disappointing, otherwise a great experience
MoreSushi menu, excellent choice!
A fantastic Sushi place with lots of options also for vegetarians!!!We loved absolutely everything here especially the gyoza and inside outs. The only one thing I would have liked is if they took card payments and not only cash.. But that is how many places are in Germany!!
MoreThe best sushi I have ever had, super tasty, amazing presentation, the salmon and everything is super fresh, they may take their time to brong the food but is worth it.
MoreSweet Sushi is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Cologne. The portion Sweet Sushi for two people is big enough and very tasty! If you are a fan of Chinese kitchen, I can strongly recommend this place to you!
MoreExtremely friendly staff, they make you feel welcomed, the food is very very good and the prices are great for the quality! My favourite thing about that place would be the jasmine tea me and my friend enjoyed there which was suggested by one of the staff🙃👌🏻
MoreLittle pricy but what good sushi place isn’t it? Make a reservation here or you may end up waiting a little. My friend and I love to go here, sushi taste fresh, they have menus in English and it’s located near Neumarkt.
MoreGreat little inexpensive sushi restaurant with a great menu and fresh sushi. Great quality for the money. Highly recommended
MoreGreat Sushi at a reasonable price. Clean with a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend if you like sushi.
MoreNice place with minimal but oriental interiors. Good sushi with an affordable price. Menu à la carte with some sushi "bundles".
MoreBest Sushi in town. Reservation highly recommended. The sushi menu for 2 or 4 people is always a good choice with a huge variety of wonderful mind-blowing sushi.
MoreHonestly, for the price its rather good. I didnt expect the quality of the seafood to be as fresh as it was. Granted, its not the best sushi/Japanese place but it is the best in that price category. Its a definite "Ill visit again" from me. :)
MoreGood selection of sushies and other Japanese food (ramens, curries, etc.)Also, they offer lunch specials that are a bit more affordable than normal menu items (around 7-10eur range)
MoreA place to eat nice sushi and good soup.
Nice sushi & thai food in town ! Good price , delicious , fresh .
We stayed in Köln for one night and wanted to have some sushi and rolls for dinner. Sweet Sushi was near to our hotel and had decent reviews in google and other apps. So I called and „luckily“ there was a table for us.. The restaurant was very narrow, small and packed with tiny tables and people. All tables for 2 are arranged so that the two must seat next to each other. We ordered a bottled bear(no draft available), a miso soup, one crunchy roll, one sushi+roll combo, and one hand maki roll (as you can see from the photos). Drink and soup came out first, and much later came the main dishes (because they all had to come together in one big plate). And as we were about to eat, we realized that our server had took away the miso soup, which we barely ate from... really????I still would not have minded if the sushi tasted okay. But sushi rice had too much vinegar, excessive rice for each nigiri sushi, unevenly cutter rolls, and too sticky rice(more like porridgethat crunchy roll didn‘t feel crunchy at all.. couldn’t find any texture as we were eating. And absolutely no need to dip into soy sauce, as they were already too sour and salty.I have never written a review on google before and yet I felt a strong obligation to write one this time, because as far as we can remember this was the worst sushi we have ever had. The best thing we had here was the bottled beer.
MoreSweet sushi is very disturbing place. It has good quality ingredients and all tables full any time. Unfortunately service could not make me feel comfortable as well as strange seating. Sushi rolls were made not properly - almost each piece was losing rice during eating. Set of 6 rolls costs me 8€. Sashimi were the brightest part of menu - very tasty. Friends were indicating that chicken bowls were very good, chicken was not dry. Bowl like that costs around 15-20€ depends on toppings. Bowl of shrimp soup was cheap and tasty for starter. However I could easily feel it was missing good base.
MoreThe best sushi I’ve ever eaten. The place is always full, no matter if is lunch or dinner time therefore I recommend to do reservation. The food is always fresh and definitely delicious. Whenever Im in Cologne I always visit this place. The price is ok. Service very good. In Cologne there are two Sweet Sushi restaurants, one in the center and other in the south of the city (Karolingerring steetwhich is recommended for bigger groups.
MoreBest sushi Ive ever had! My god this place was amazing! Busy, but completely understandable because of their quality!
MoreVery busy restaurant, quite friendly service. The food quality is like everage level of Asian food in Germany and the price is reasonable. Japanese Sushi & Sashimi are always my faviorate food but you can not compare the quality with the Japanese food in Shanghai or other city in China and not to mention its quality in Japan. It is somehow not really original Japanese food here but it is good enough for the Europeans. I already learned never to expect the asian food here in Europe same standard like in Asian counties!
MoreGood sushi but too loud and crowded- even if you reserve you sometimes have to wait. Tables are situated too close to eachother so hard to have privacy.
MoreSushi wise decent quality, but other areas can use some work, beef was rather chewy and kimchi was bland. Next to this dishes were brought out quite a long way apart from one another. Where one person could finish theirs before the second persons dish arrived.
MoreI was looking for a healthy meal (didnt fancy sausagesand chose this place based on other reviews. And what a great choice it was! The staff were accommodating and brought me a menu in English. I ordered one of their sushi platters which included a small bowl of miso soup with a couple of starters. While waiting, and sipping on my warm sake, I could watch the chefs in front of me making the sushis from fresh fish, in their calm and sophisticated manners. All the elements of my food were delicious and I ended up eating a bit too much! I can say this was the best sushi I ever had (competing against London and LA). This restaurant also has the right atmosphere if you are eating by yourself (you wont feel awkward).
MoreLow Quality low price sushi. I was really disappointed with the quality. Was not fresh and some how very soft. I honestly cannot understand why this restaurant was so crowded. The tuna that was used for my rainbow role was from the part that most of sushi bars never use it.
MoreThe most sour sushi I have ever eaten in my life. Dined there twice, the second time, the sushi was even more sour than the first time.
MoreIts just the one for western country. Definitely not the real Japanese one. Nigiri is really bad!I dont know why this place got so many recommend than other similar sushi restaurant in Köln.
MoreThe place looks promising, but we were quite dissappointed with our food. The rice was undercooked and dry, which pretty much ruins a sushi meal. The food was comparable to your everyday express sushi lunch buffet with a higher price. Also, an option to pay with a credit card would be a nice thing.
MoreVery disappointing. Last time we tried going there, we booked a table.Once we arrived, we realised they did not reserve anything and we supposedly had to be OK with a small table located right on the way... no way, we left and tried the new place next door. The waiter we talked to was also everything but friendly as a waiter should be, for the price of the place, this is a big no go.
MoreOf all the 5-6 sushi restaurants I tried out in Cologne, the Sweet Sushi is by far my favorite. Very good tasting sushi, quick service.
MoreFor the records: THIS IS THE BEST Sushi in town. But I WILL NOT recommend it, because its already pretty hard to get a table there. More customers would make it even harder for ME to get my beloved Suhsi. So, please do NOT come here! ;)
