Local spot for homemade morning/lunch fare like signature brown-sugar-glazed “millionaire’s bacon.”
Best breakfast ever 😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩We love American diners for breakfast and thought nothing would beat Mels, but this place is whole other level! I had omelette with arugula, mushrooms and goat cheese and it was out of this world! it is so great that there is an option to swap potatoes for fruit! I personally recommend doing this, because portions are massive and it is highly unlikely you will finish the potatoes 🥔 (I dont like wasting foooood 🙈My husband took morning tacos 🌮 they were super delicious!
We were seated quickly, even though it was busy. Outdoor seating, was a nice experience.I would say it is a great breakfast turned up to 11. The extra cost per item was reasonable as per the ingredients used and the apparent experience behind the preparation. food was delicious and prepared perfectly. Highly recommend the swedish pancakes.Coffee was very good and way above the bean water you expect from a diner. To go is not the way, you want to experience your food hot fresh and as its intended. Overall a pleasure of a experience and will visit again on my next trek to San Francisco.
Sweet maple is a must-try breakfast/brunch spot! The French toast & chai latte were amazing! But I tasted a bite of everything else at the table & it was all delicious! Service was super quick too even on a busy morning. Don’t let that line out the door intimidate you - it goes by fast.
A bit overpriced for the quality and portion of brunch that we were served. I think smaller mom&pop restaurants offer better deals for the same quantity of food. Also very lunch wait for tables.
Diverse menu, something for everyone. Staff is fantastic and service is quick.I got the swine bfast pizza (too much bacon but it looked gorgeous), millionaires bacon (too sweet and just two strips for $13and the cappuccino (decidedly average)Overall Id be willing to give it another chance but Id probably not reorder any of those items
Decent wait time. Excellent service and really helpful staff. Ordered the 2 egg style chicken curry sausage omelette and Athenian Omelette. Both were great and served along crispy potato wedges and citrus sides.
Absolutely loved the place. Millionaire’s bacon was the star. Food was great. We tried a combo breakfast with eggs, sausages & French toast and Millionaire’s bacon. The ambiance is cute & cozy. But the restaurant is super crowded. We reached there at 9:30 AM and had to wait in the queue for about 35-40 mins. So be there on time :)
Delicious and large portions for your enjoyment. Breakfast pizza for the win! Soufflé as as fluffy as it can get. Brewed coffee is meh, but service was excellent.
Truly lives up to the name and reputation as one of the best breakfast places in San Francisco. I have been here a couple times and the food is always good. The service is fast and most importantly very kind. The restaurant also has a nice busy city atmosphere as it is almost always full. As for food I would say that the millionaire plater is a must try. The new test menu items are also very good. I highly recommend the SM Omurice.
Absolutely fantastic!! Went for brunch and had the best time. They made us a boozy dirty chi off the menu and the bacon flight was awesome. Portions are huge and we all shared so we got to try a little bit of everything. The deep fried French toast was awesome but I think my favorite was the breakfast tacos. They don’t take reservations and your entire party needs to be there before they will seat you but they do have bottomless mimosas
The food was outstanding. Loved the bacon, omelettes, and the fried rice ramen dish. The also had gluten free toast. The service was fantastic. They were quick with drink refills.
Went on a Wednesday morning and was seated immediately. Ordered the Matcha Latte (amazing), Big Hip and Gardena Skillet with a side of their famous Millionaire Bacon. The bacon was delicious with hints of sweetness and spiciness - the texture and flavour reminded me of teriyaki beef jerky. I do think it was pricey for what it was. The syrup went with the big hip very well and I enjoyed the combo. The skillet was also great but could use a bit more flavouring imo. The service was okay.
Theres usually a queue but its worth the wait. Legitimately one of the best brunch spots in SF. Huge servings of eggs and the millionaires bacon is not to be missed! Not to mention the Mimosas, which are bottomless for just $23!
MILLIONAIRE BACON 🗣🗣 all there is to say. If you dont go for the bacon then youre not ordering correctly. Interior design and ambience was very elegant yet simple - service was good and food came out quick. Yummmmmmm
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. After seeing pictures of their place I wanted to try it. So once day on a trip to SF I finally came here. The wait was pretty fast. The inside is clean and the has a nice atmosphere. I ordered eggs benny and tried the millionaire bacon. And I’m hooked! The bacon is amazing. Their hollandaise sauce is also delicious.
Love this place. The Millionaire’s Bacon sampler is worth the $24 even though it’s only for 4 strips of bacon. We had the mushroom bacon with salad and sweet potato tater tots and the Swedish pancakes “complete meal” with 2 sunny side eggs and chicken mango sausages. We also got an oat milk latte and iced caramel macchiato with oat milk which was a big hit!I only gave 4 stars because they seem to have restroom challenges. IYKYK.
This place runs like a well oiled machine!! The staff work so hard and are super kind. Despite having a line down the block, they got us sat super fast and our food came fast too. It was DELICIOUS!!! Everything you would dream of a brunch place. Highly recommend!
Favorite breakfast spot in SF! Come here every few weeks. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is always tasty. LOVE the French toast always get a side order of it. They have a lot of healthy options and a good variety. Food always tastes fresh. They are dog friendly with plenty of outdoor seating options. The lines get long on weekends but the service is usually pretty quick. Lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend!!
OMG, this might just be my new favorite SF brunch spot. I went on a Sunday around 12pm. The line was long, but surprisingly moved quit...so the wait for 2 was about 25-30 mins. Millionaire Bacon is a must have if you come. Great location and plenty of tables.
I really can’t say if I’ve had a better breakfast in my life. I wasn’t familiar with the concept of “Millionaires Bacon” but it was truly an indulgent life changing experience. The Benedict was amazing, and the mimosas were perfection. A must-do for any true SF foodie! Give yourself time cause there was quite the line (well worth it).
I loved my experience at Sweet Maple. The food was delicious, and the staff was prompt and friendly. The restaurant has outdoor and indoor seating. We choose to sit inside. It was very spacious and neat.I ordered the Blackstone Benedict! This Benedict has their famous Millionaire’s Bacon, asparagus, cherry tomatoes and Meyer lemon hollandaise. The plate came with a side of potato medley, but there are substitutes available. The eggs on the Benedict were poached to perfection. They were a runny deliciousness. The bacon was delicious! It’s a little sweet and a little spicy. It’s perfectly balanced and made savory by the asparagus and cherry tomatoes. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and had great consistency. The potatoes were so good. They were crispy on the outside but creamy & soft on the inside. Totally recommend the Benedict.I was also able to try their Big Hip, which is a deep-fried french toast. I added mixed fruit as a topping. The fruit was fresh and ripe. The French toast itself had a sweet but balanced flavor. It was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The batter tasted great.I loved their millionaire’s bacon so much that we ordered a side of it. It’s a crispy, sweet, spicy and salty deliciousness. You need to try it! They also have a sampler plate available with different flavors of bacon. To drink I had their bottomless mimosas and got to try their strawberry mimosa, mango-Tajín mimosa and original mimosa. My favorite was the strawberry mimosa. It was just perfect in sweetness and even had small pieces of strawberry in it. The mango-Tajín was sweet and a bit spicy. I didn’t like the way it mixed with my meal, but it was still pretty good. The original mimosa was great as per usual. They bring it out to you in a cute container so that you can keep pouring yourself and once you run out, you get a refill on the same of a different flavor of your choice. I thinks it’s a pretty efficient way of serving bottomless mimosas considering you have a limited time, and it can get very busy sometimes.Overall, I truly enjoyed my visit and look forward to coming back. Thank you for a great time.
Really enjoyed our food from Sweet Maple. I loved the Marnier french toast. Everything tasted fresh like quality ingredients were used. Service was good, also.
Went for brunch, was seated quickly. Had the fried rice and shared the pancakes with my friend. Food was good but nothing to die for though. May come back and try other items though.
Great breakfast place. Please try their chicken mango sausages, amazing! Also love their orange juice and pancakes. Service was nice. Place was clean and spacious. Plenty of seating space inside and outside. Will come back again for sure.
We ate breakfast here while we were visiting San Francisco. We got here early so we were able to walk right in and get a table for 4. June was our server and she was super. She did a great job of explaining some of the highlights on the menu. It didnt take long for them to make our food and get it to our table. I got the regular breakfast with eggs, mixed potatoes, and the curry chicken sausage. My wife got the pancakes with bananas and walnuts with the mango chicken sausage. The breakfast was good all the way around. The Mango Chicken sausage was better than the curry chicken sausage to me. The pancakes and potatoes were good too! There are a couple of big screen tvs in the dining area and we were able to watch a tennis match during breakfast. There was 1 young lady who came to pick up our plates after we finished eating and she was rude and unfriendly and rolled her eyes at us but other than that, this place was good. I recommend that you try this place if you are ever in San Francisco.
Stumbled on what seems to be a popular spot. Very attentive service and fresh ingredients. I had their deep fried French Toast. Was too much food for me but very good. Bacon think and perfectly cooked. Great coffee.
As many have mentioned the food is phenomenal and delicious. Very flavorful and filling. The restaurant is well lite and the decor and ambiance are both inviting and relaxing. Plenty of natural lighting and the servers are quick and attentive. Now the reason for 4 stars:The cappuccinos are a bit expensive for what you get but seems to match that of the food. Having said that there are some housekeeping items such as damaged chairs/tables that are scuffed/nicked (wood pen from Home Depot fixes thisand some high dusting that needs to be addressed. The bathroom needed a bit of attention when I went in there. There is nothing wrong with the prices as mostly everything else is up to snuff, but some aspects of this place do need a bit more attention to detail. Overall it’s a place I would happily return to.
An amazing brunch spot with delicious food. Went on a Saturday morning which was busy but the wait in line did not take long at all for our group of 4. The eggs benedict was great and portion sizes large including my one side pancake. We did the bottomless mimosas for one hour, offered different flavours to choose from and had a great time. Ambience is good and staff very friendly. Would definitely go back!
Delicious food - some of the best brunch I’ve had! There was a long line, and we were there on the weekend, so we were prepared to wait, but we didn’t have to wait very long at all! The service was great, the waitress was super friendly. Definitely a bit pricey, but we also expected that. Highly recommend the millionaire bacon, it’s very unique and tastes amazing! You can’t go wrong with anything here, though.
This spot is really hyped, and I’m not sure why. I ordered one of the egg soufflés in the skillets. It was extremely bland. I couldn’t finish it. I have had better egg soufflés at Panera. The bacon was good, crumbled only on top, none inside. The inside was literally just egg. They also brought our food out in weird increments instead of together. The potatoes came out first, alone, for example. We did ask them to keep them on the warmer and come with the meal, which they did no issue. The best part were the potatoes. I wanted mine and my husband’s both. Crispy and well seasoned. The strawberry drink was alright. Tasted mostly like strawberry milk, like the powdered drink you had as a kid.I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back here. Just okay, especially for the price.
Delicious food. I got the deep fried french toast, enough said. If you like creamy coconut flavor, get the coconut latte! Tasted like a dream. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the environment was loud and a bit chaotic. I thought it might feel a bit more quant. But the delicious food makes up for it all.
Went there Wednesday morning so didn’t have to wait to be seated. The restaurant was very busy considering it’s on a weekday. We tried Blackstone (egg Benedict with their famous millionaire bacon and home friesand deep fried french toast, make it a meal with two eggs of your choice and 2 strips of bacon.I loved both dishes but prefer the egg benedict.Wish I ordered regular fresh toast instead of the deep fried. Deep fried version wasn’t greasy at all. It was crispy and delicious but it was just a bit too tough to my liking.Millionaire bacon was not as good as I had hoped for. It tasted pretty sweet.Overall we liked the experience. The food quality was excellent. Staff was friendly.Pretty expensive for brunch, however.Spent $70 for two people after taxes and tips.Didn’t order any coffee or drinks.
Sweet Maple is amazing! Everything we’ve had has been delicious. They go above and beyond to reach perfection in everything they do, including service. The only problem is that they are very, very expensive—even the coffee drinks are outrageously priced—even for the Bay Area. We would return more often if it wasn’t so expensive.
We came here on a Sunday morning around 9:30. We waited about 15 min to be seated. The food was ok, a bit too salty. The menu is much different from the Sweet Maple in Palo Alto. I prefer Palo Alto sweet Maple, lots choices and better food overall.
I have been coming back to Sweet Maple for years. Its a must anytime I come through San Francisco. The food and drinks are phenomenal. Get the bacon!
The food was delish and so was my Chi Tea Latte. I ordered the eggs benedict. I have to go back and try some other options I was thinking of getting. Its a bit windy in that area sometimes so go a bit comfy in the morning for sure.
The perfect place for brunch! Sweet Maple never fails to impress me with its wonderful, kind staff and lovely indoor décor. It’s my second time ordering the Marguerite omelet, and I still can’t get enough of it. The sweet potato medley has the perfect balance of crunch on the outside and a fluffy potato texture on the inside. Even though the hot chocolate was a bit pricey, it was completely worth it. What makes Sweet Maple stand out is its world-famous Millionaire’s Bacon! The rosemary flavored bacon is my all-time favorite as it has a perfect blend of spices and other seasonings. I look forward to going back there again soon.
Such an amazing place to get brunch! The line looks intimidating but it definitely was a shorter wait than expected. My friend and I ordered the Blackstone benedict, Marnier French toast and the Swine pizza and everything was AMAZING! Best breakfast pizza I’ve ever had and the millionaire bacon on the benedict was so delicious. The hollandaise sauce on the Benedicts was probably the best I’ve ever had. And the Marnier French toast was the perfect dessert to end the meal. Would highly recommend if you love brunch food!
I’ll give it a 4.5 cause they need to change that 2 dollar sign to 4 dollar lol , pricey for break fast for two $120 but that’s ordering the good stuff , the food is great , they got the cool mimosas but you must order the Millionaires bacon it’s so good ! Ambience is nice for a corner brunch spot , will recommend anyone to go there but you gota walk with that $$$ !
I must admit, I am a Sweet Maple Stan! As a self-proclaimed breakfast connoisseur, who has partaken in several breaks locations around San Francisco, I can truly say that Sweet Maple is the best. It truly is an experience. Now, in fairness, I can’t say that I’ve tried everything on the menu not have I given their lunch / dinner items a try, but despite all of that, nothing touches their breakfast menu. Sweet Maple used to serve my personal favorite, “three thin sweet potatoes pancakes.” Good golly miss molly, those were awesome. They were discontinued because of the pandemic (thanks Rona SMH). Now, let’s get to the flood stuff, I recently ordered their Mariner French Toast, Thin Pancakes, Potato Medley, Chicken Mango Sausage, and Bacon, which were all FANTASTIC (see the pictures)! Now, the only critical feedback I can offer is that it is “pricey.” What I ordered for two people was about $65. Additionally, due to its popularity, especially on weekends, you can expect a line down the street, if you don’t get there early. I highly recommend anyone who loves breakfast to check out Sweet Maple. They have several locations and express locations across the Bay Area and you won’t regret the experience!
Pricey, but worth it! Everything we ordered was so incredibly delicious. We ordered Blackstone Eggs Benedict (made with Millionares Baconand Deep Fried French Toast. The staff was friendly, service was very good. We arrived early, there was no line, but when we left, there was a line outside going down the block. Arrive early, its worth it!
Another great place to stop and eat! The millionaire bacon is BOMB!!! I could eat this ALL DAY! If you like crunchy foods like myself the deep fried French toast is awesome!!
I’ve been wanting to go to Sweet Maple for forever because it always has a long line and the food looks good. Overall we had a great experience here — food was tasty, service was friendly, bottoms less coffee and big portions. I enjoyed the Haas omelet and new potatoes, although it was super special compared to other diners. Our group of 5 was sat inside. However, the breakfast was SO expensive. Automatic 20% tip, $5 coffee, and taxes aren’t included on menu prices. We ended up paying $47 each for one of entree and coffee 😨 a fun treat but very pricey
Amazing flavors and great portion sizes! The French toast was some of the best we ever tried, and the bread and eggs were all outstanding! Millionaires bacon not worth the money in my opinion, but the restaurant is 10000% worth the visit!
4.5 star. Super long line at 10:30 Saturday. Waited for 30 mins for a table for 2. The place was cramped. Staff was busy but all were polite. Finally flagged down someone for coffee refills in our third attempt. Blackstone Benedict was good. The eggs were poached perfectly. My husband tried something on the "Test Kitchen" menu. We would stick with the tried and tried unless the test kitchen menu appealed incredibly to you. Very high noise level. Couldnt hear my husband from across the table. Couldnt say it was the most relaxing leisurely breakfast weve had.
Will always be our favorite brunch spot in San Francisco! Grand Marnier French Toast, Millionaires Bacon is absolutely phenomenal and done so well. The bacon is thick, sweet, smoky and sticky. Very rich and luxurious. The french toast is fluffy, sweet and the citrus from the Grand Marnier with the berries is just *chefs kiss* perfection. Food presentation, quality and flavors are world class. We love to walk over to Japantown after brunch so the location is prime as well. There is always a wait but its worth it!
This is one of my favorite places we ate at while in San Francisco, the food here is amazing! You definitely must try the millionaire bacon if nothing else would definitely plan to come back next time. The only downsides were; there was quite a line up outside so plan accordingly with your time, and it was pretty expensive for brunch, still definitely worth while!
I had been there only once and everything we got was great. I had "Open face" which was very light but filling and super delicious. Also I liked my latte and a mimosa. My son was very pleased with his Egg Benedict.Service was very good. They quickly checked our vaccine cards and IDs and we were seated within minutes.
Definitely glad that they have been able to expand the amount of seating outdoors. The indoor space always seemed super crowded and this way the line is able to move a lot faster. Food was good and that back sampler was a great appetizer. Wish they would add more staff though with the added amount of tables. We didn’t drink but could tell those that were doing bottomless mimosas (60 mins capwere not getting their monies worth. Also would have liked to have had more heat lamps outside given the outdoor footprint they have. Food was pretty similar to what we’ve had at the other restaurants part of this group, nothing stood out to us.
A nice brunch spot situated just minutes from Japantown, Sweet Maple is popular with locals and out-of-town visitors alike. I had to make the drive from the other side of the Bay to give it a shot with a group of friends! The Blackstone Benedict was quite nice. Eggs beautifully poached, the hollandaise sauce rich in texture and seasoned nicely, with Millionaire’s Bacon — all rested on crispy and toasted English muffins. The potato medley accompanying the main dish was not as crispy as I would have liked, but was a nice side nonetheless. Our server was super nice, fast and attentive! She was kind and helpful, we couldn’t have asked for better service! No matter where you are in the Bay or who you’re with, make the drive to Sweet Maple. You won’t be disappointed: friendly atmosphere with a wide selection of drinks and food and friendly servers!
