Sweet Katie Bee's Organic Bakery Café in O'Fallon

Had brunch here with my wife. Just like all other times the food, coffee and service was great. Definitely worth stopping by if you are ever in the area and craving a good cup of coffee. Highly recommend their cupcakes. I had a cinnamon roll today and it was outstanding! Love this place. Thanks to all who work here keeping this local gem 💎 up and running!

Absolutely such an awesome experience. I attended this bakery cafe for a special catered event for my church last Nov and all the food was divine. She has such a skill with food and hospitality. Definitely a good place for a small catered event if you’re interested! I wish I could go back again but I’ve moved away from The area.

The hash brown crusted quiche and greens were so delicious and I couldn’t give enough stars for using all this sustainable packaging. It’s a breath of fresh air seeing this done in this area. MUCH needed 🥰. Thank you!

Friday, September 30th. Arrived at 1:23 pm. Hostess/Server was serving pastries to other customers. She got back to counter at 1:40. Told us we needed to order by 1:45 as kitchen closes. They were out of a lot of selections. Customer would not know they were out of the selections as it was not posted anywhere. I asked for a plain grill cheese because of allergies to tomatoes on the menu for their Greek grilled cheese. Kitchen staff came out and reprimanded me that I should have ordered and not wait one minute before kitchen closes. He said chef had already cleaned up. Seriously the bread and cheese was put away and they couldn’t make a grilled cheese. Again, we were at restaurant at 1:23 pm.Restaurant does not accommodate customers with allergies. They pre-make their food, and will not vary from their premade orders. We left without having lunch.Very disappointing.

It would only be fair and ethical that you let your customers know how you are sharing our PRIVATE and personal information (including email, telephone and banking informationwith SQUARE who then freely gives it to others without our permission. We gave our private information to our local bakery, NOT a huge corporate entity in San Francisco so they can collect, harbor, distribute, and (sell?it to others. This is terribly reckless and disturbing and a horrible violation of our privacy.UPDATE: Your utter disregard is clear and disheartening. SQUARE did give our private information to other vendors; we began receiving emails and texts from them after we would visit even though we never gave them that information. We simply used the same card that we used to sign up for your little rewards program. The other vendors got our private information from SQUARE who got it from YOU. I sincerely wish you would listen carefully and have a heart. This is not right.

I received a cake for my birthday a few weeks ago and it was absolutely awful! It didn’t have flavor…it tasted like a clump of flour. I was so surprised too given that the carrot cupcakes are so delicious. I would never buy a cake here again and I definitely wouldn’t recommend anyone else doing so either.

Stopped at Sweet Katie Bee’s cafe for breakfast. Staff was very military friendly. Ordered food and coffee all of which was very delicious. I will be recommending this place to friends.

Took friends to visit for their first time. The creme brule French toast is a little slice of heaven!! Love the smoothness of the pour over coffee. They loved it!

Every time I purchased sweet baked goods, they were dry. I didnt think they were worth the price at all. The plain croissant and salad were good, however. I also find the public sharing of private information disturbing. : (

The vegan crepe, smoothie and cupcake I sampled were absolutely delicious. I enjoyed the ambiance, located in a small town shopping district. It was quaint and items they offered were flavorful.

On Farmers Market Saturdays avoid..... one hour wait on avocado toast. Staff did their best to keep us updated on order status.

We ordered custom cupcakes for my daughters birthday party today. They were very friendly and accommodating since I gave less than a weeks notice that I needed 24 cupcakes. The cupcakes looked decent, nothing too over the top which is totally fine. The flavor and texture of the cupcakes, however, was pretty disappointing. The icing tasted like straight butter and had a spreadable butter consistency (I understand now that it was Swiss Meringue). The cake itself was pretty dry and flavorless. The different fruit fillings were decent but not outstanding. The size was in between a mini and what I would consider a normal size cupcake. I was expecting a little better quality for the price, $76+$14 tip for 24 cupcakes. I think they really tried and that is appreciated the taste just didnt quite hit the mark. Again the costumer service here is top notch.

Service: lovely, everyone was attentive and kind without being overbearing or obnoxious about their customer service.Todays order was an iced dirty chai latte w/ oatmilk and the vegan (and gluten freeTuscan crepe.The dirtiness (meaning it has espressowas really pronounced, that being good or bad is entirely personal.The deliciousness of the crepe however is not up for debate. A smooth mix of flavors that made for a easy setting breakfast, highly recommend.My husband had the bacon, egg & cheese potato crepe. While he wasn’t upset with it he did say it wouldn’t be his order for next time, “too starchy without enough flavor to balance it”.

I used to really love this place but my recent visit was disappointing. The quiche was cold and watery and the service wasn’t that great. After waiting about 10min I had to ask about my black drip coffee.

They offer many V GF options! Great vegan gluten free blueberry bundt cake!

GF and fantastic. I ate the GF Biscuits and Gravy...wow! Others had some grilled sandwiches. Excellent everything! Make the effort to eat there.

Employed by the sweetest staff who are accommodating & always ready to offer a smile. They have great gluten free options on their menus & have the best gluten free desserts! The GF biscuit with their jam is so yummy & dont get me started on how mouth watering their GF quiches & bread for sandwiches are!! A lavender latte always hits the spot & during lunch a smoothie is always refreshing! I have purchased lots of regular cupcakes/treats for friends/coworkers & they too rave about how delicious their desserts are! Its my favorite to surprise my friend with a chocolate cupcake or vanilla latte!I have also recently used SKB for catering services or last minute Vegan orders for my place of work. The baker, Miss Annie, personally came out to speak with me & help with Vegan ideas that I needed for a youth at my place of work. She happens to be someone I went to high school with so it was a bit nostalgic & I was so happy to see her thriving & enjoying her job. When I needed to inquire about a large cupcake order for both of the locations I work at, one of the owners sat down with & answered all my questions professionally & quickly. She remembers my name when I come in & makes me feel comfortable & welcomed. They always go above & beyond my expectations every time!! The staff is thoughtful & full of wonderful ideas to make the items special.SKB is the place to go for a cozy, comfortable, warm, & welcoming environment. The owners are genuine & are visible to both their staff & customers always working hard! Its rare to see owners working as hard as their staff & I personally find it wonderful! The employees seem happy & respected; & so it comes out in the way they greet & help their customers. Every part of this team works hard & is professional & kind to the core! I always love going into this lovely café!! 10 out of 10 on all levels!!

Edited review - this place has the best coffee in the area. They serve and sell Goshen. They have updated their gluten free foods and they are top notch. Everything about this place has gotten better over the last few years. Highly worth the visit!

Beth and Kate have a beautiful cafe I’m downtown O’fallon, IL and make some very delicious, healthy vegan and gluten free options. They are also very supportive of other small businesses and always willing to lend a hand! Thank you for letting use your dishwasher!

Today was our first and last visit. I brought my adult daughter for a little quality time. They were out of avocado toast and french toast and they dont do customizations on the crepes, so my daughter only ordered a vanilla oatmilk cappuccino. (She gets oatmilk in her Starbucks drinks, but every oatmilk has its own aftertaste.She only took two sips and couldnt bring herself to drink more. I ordered a pour over coffee and was warned it would take 15 - 20 mins. It was lukewarm when I received it, so the water must not have been hot enough when they started. I tried to drink it quickly, but only got half way before it was just too cold. I had a cinnamon roll that was hard and chewy. It probably wouldve been better if they warmed it up first. I gave two stars because everyone was so nice. I saw a lot of happy people while we were there, we just werent among them.

Sweet Katies Bees created the Desserts and Coffee Bar for my daughters wedding this past weekend and it was exceptional!!! So many compliments and virtually nothing was left to take home. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping to make her wedding the best day of her life, so far!!!

Their food is always to fresh and delicious! Pumpkin tomato soup is my favorite! Also love the aesthetic to the place! Great location too nice to stop by after the farmers market!

Always a nice place to sit & sip coffee, with or without friends. Pleasant employees & owner. Customers are friendly, coffee & food are good, & there is outdoor seating, which is where I always sit.

We enjoyed the blueberry coffee cake, not too sweet, just right. And my son liked the cinnamon roll. Orange juice was good but my Coco berry smoothie was so tart I couldnt drink it all, I think I would add banana to it if I was too try again. The staff was friendly and the venue was clean.

Fantastic! We drove 40 minutes to get here and will definitely make the trip again. Keto cinnamon rolls were amazing. Cant wait to try all of our other treats.

I went specifically because it was gluten free. It was not. Not even if I had a gluten intolerance. Definitely not Celiac safe. Now that being said the food was terrible. Gravy had the texture of glue. The "biscuits" were hard and underdone in the middle. Sandwich was gross. The crepe was hard. How can that even happen? There is more but I do not recommend it. Only posting so none has to go thru that experience.

Food was amazing and staff was very friendly and helpful and love that they have multiple keto options not only for food but dessert options and coffee options!!!

Dropped in for some hot chai tea and hot chocolate on a cold morning. The service was fast and the staff friendly. Both drinks tasted good and were a good size for the money. I definitely recommend patronizing this hometown shop.

Its a lovely nice place. The crepe was delicious. You can dine outside. If you sit to the right, youll smell occasional smoke from smoking people who go to the bar next door. The service was friendly and fast.

Never disappointed with Katies. Small menu but fresh items. Nice place for friends to enjoy laid back atmosphere. Employees are friendly and professional. Heads up - since Covid there is no inside bathroom available.

Words cant express how much I love this place. The staff are awesome, the cakes are always delicious, and theres a huge range if youre looking for keto or gluten free—it never feels like an afterthought. The pecan pie cupcakes are the BEST.

I had been waiting to get to this bakery for the keto cheesecake not worth the drive if your not in the neighborhood. First horrible customer service I asked for a plastic fork you would I thought I asked for a free piece of cheesecake. The two stars came from the cheesecake being actually good/okay especially for keto however it was almost frozen definitely wasn’t fresh but good taste. The bagel was more of a crumble I’m not a fan.

Im a huge fan of crepes and the crepes were disappointing. I had the caramelized banana crepe. I have made caramelized bananas before, they are cooked these bananas were not caramelized. That being said it was ok. My friends did like their meals and the atmosphere is really charming.

Great keto options! This sweet cafe is about 20 miles East of downtown St Louis, but its absolutely worth the drive from anywhere in the STL area to get your fill of keto treats. I got on board the low-carb train almost a year ago and most low-carb bakery items range from terrible to tolerable. But the low-carb dessert options at Sweet Katie Bees are seriously good (and plentiful, yay!). I only tried the bakery items but I look forward to coming back for a sandwich (on keto breador a crepe (shes working on a keto wrap option). My favorite thing I tried was the keto cheesecake brownie. If I brought the cheesecake brownies to work my sugar-loving colleagues would gobble them up without a clue, they tasted like really decadent, sweet brownies. The keto cinnamon roll was also good, it had a bit more sweetener linger, but not bad, and the texture was good (more biscuit-like than yeast bread, but still better than most low carb!). The peanut butter truffle and matcha cheesecake were fine, but not as good as cinnamon roll and the cheesecake brownie (seriously, get the cheesecake brownie).

Good customer service, ladies working were nice. Vegan snickerdoodle was satisfying. However, both the vegan cinnamon roll and vegan cupcake were pretty bad. Cupcake was dense and cinnamon roll dough was hard and chewy. Neither had a good flavor. If you are vegan, keep searching..this is not the place.

Bought three dozen regular cup cakes for my daughters b-days. Well worth the price! Cookie dough was my favorite, with snickerdoodle in close second followed by chocolate strawberry. Highly recommend. Tip: if you want to try the cupcakes before you order a massive amount like me, show up early or call them and ask them to save you one in advance to avoid missing out. They are so good that they can sell out quick!

LOVED Sweet Katie Bees!! The staff was super friendly, the cupcakes were delicious and their caramel latte had to be one of the best lattes Ive ever had. I will definitely become a regular here!

Came into a very cramped small space (thats great as a downtown localeservice was fine but the cupcake itself was a bit dry. Love that there is such variety. I now understand they will be moving to a brand new location next to the OD and the vine street market. That can only be the best location...but they are relatively close to Woods bakery...lol..dueling cupcakes.

I had a great experience today! I went to meet some friends for a sweet treat- but was pleasantly surprised with the variety of food they offer! I opted for a green shake with a splash of OJ+Pineapple. It was delicious! I got a fat bomb to go with it.Perks I noticed: They offer a simple menu of lunch items with a gourmet twist...without paying gourmet prices! Their pumpkin/tomato soup sounded amazing. They also offered Keto cheesecake!

Cute, cozy place to sit and have a great cup of coffee. They make their own syrups and the caramel was delicious in my coffee. I also enjoyed a slice of keto friendly cheesecake. Very yummy!

Super tasty coffee! They had some really scrumptious menu items. Saw many people come in just for their treats while I was there. I can tell its a local favorite. I know I definitely want to stop by regularly now that I know its there! They also source their eggs and veggies locally! Doesnt that triple the impact on local business? I think its cool.

Cool place, pretty small but nice. The lady was very nice and noticed I was military and gave me a discount which was awesome. The coffee is fantastic, they use Goshen Roasting Co. which is always good. I did feel kind of out of place, I was the only male in there and the place seems somewhat geared towards females.

I really miss Sweet Katie Bees. The owner was seriously the most kind person I met while living in Illinois. She and I did some ginger shots together, which were quite an experience! The cupcakes were amazing, really. You knew the ingredients were fresh, organic, or local when possible and the prices were fantastic considering that. It is so refreshing to find a place that caters to allergies like Sweet Katie Bees. I wish the shop was here in Ohio. If I go to Illinois anytime in the future, I will stop by!

Nice small and clean cupcake shop & coffee bar. Has vegan and gluten free cupcakes. Very homey feel and homemade style. Has different types of coffees, including V60 (pour over). I would say this place is more for the cupcakes rather than the coffee. My main dislike is its a little small. Your either near the exit door or in the order line.

Stopped by yesterday for coffee and a cupcake and Sweet Katie Bees is pretty well known for out-of-this-world cupcakes made with all natural ingredients but the coffee shouldnt be overlooked. Its remarkable. Im not a connoisseur but I do like a strong cup of coffee with bold flavors, no bitterness, and not overly roasted and Sweet Katie Bees has it. They will also make you a cup of coffee by hand using the pour over method if youd like and I highly recommend it. Its extra but worth every penny and good to the last drop. They can even tell you where the coffee came from and about the small batch roaster they buy from. My son had a latte and enjoyed it along with a Beths Chocolate cupcake and I had the pecan pie cupcake which was excellent.
