Swapna Indian & European Cuisine - Indian restaurant in Naas, Ireland
Sign upfront says All you can eat buffet daily. I go inside and there is no buffet at all and hasnt been one since COVID started. So has sign been wrong for 3 years??
Food is Delicious 😋 love India spices and the mango 🥭 smoothie omg. I always order 2 the only way to cool off spices fight in my mouth 😆 🤣
NO BUFFET ANY LONGER, but they seem nice 🤷🏾♀️
NO LUNCH BUFFET! I repeat, they do NOT have a lunch buffet as of the date of this review. The large marquee sign out front touts “Large Mega Lunch Buffet”, then you go in and it’s “Al a cart”. While I was sitting down to eat I saw 3 other potential customers come in and leave because of the disappointment. If you are going to stop offering something that people love, fine. But make it plain where people will know, in your signage and advertising. Super unprofessional!
Very pricey when not-buffet. One entree about $20 with drink. When I last went, there was no buffet. Maybe on the weekends - not clear. CALL AHEAD.
Food didnt taste good at all. I will never go there.
Food was ok-ish. We ordered paneer butter masala and kadhai paneer, of which the former was good but the latter was too liquidy/watery-there was no gravy in it. Kadhai paneer was more like watery aloo-tamatar sabji that Indians prepare at home when they dont have much time and ingredients to cook. Tandoori roti was not soft, it was more like thick papad.Vegetable pakora was good.Forgot to take photos coz I was so hungry, as soon as I got the food, I started eating.
Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon with anticipation of enjoying a good meal. But what I got was disappointed. I was greeted and seated. While waiting for the waiter to return, I was looking over the menu. Next thing I know, he sits two people in the booth behind me & starts talking to them in his native tongue with his order pad in hand. They hadnt even asked me for my drink order yet. I got up & left because that was just wrong! I dont flip the term racist out there as a norm, but I couldnt help but wonder.
Ever since my first time eating here back in 2011 I have fell in love with Indian food. Im a picky eater, and their buffet let me get whatever I wanted and try new things. The butter chicken is by far the best one Ive ever had, their Naan is awesome, you really cant go wrong with anything. Since covid the buffet has disappeared... Bring it back please. I love all you can eat butter chicken, goat, and Naan. Go check them out if youre by Truist Park, itll get you hooked, tell them Eric Berry with Fathom Realty sent you.
Super watery…I used to love their vegetable masala, vindaloo, and veggie curry. Now it looks like watery tomato soup, and was gross.I have to explain what veggie curry is (no chicken, add vegetables). Very disappointed. That tells me things are pre-made, not made to order. It’s never been a problem the past 15 years I’ve been there (or other places).$17 very little food, rice, and naan. This has happened the past 4-5 times. Sad, it used to be my favorite place. I guess it’s hard for them to understand vegetarians want more than potatoes in their curry.
Easily the best Indian restaurant around. Never had to wait for a seat. The staff is so friendly. The food is incredible! If your contemplating were to go for dinner, come here.
Just picked up food I’m extremely disappointed. Been ordering the same thing for years and it looks and taste horrible. Extremely watery, looks like a different color. I guess I have to find somewhere else. Went from being hungry to feeling disgusted. Whoever sees this please recommend another spot in the area as Swapna doesn’t seem to care anymore. I wish I could give no stars.Update 5-21-2022( Response to Owner)- I would like a refund.Update 8-7-2022. The “Owner” never contacted me and I can’t respond directly to their post. I never received a refund ofAny kind. Horrible customer service experience.
Oh my goodness, this was so good!!! We ordered the vegetable samosas they were crispy, soft on the inside and spicy but not too hot. For entree we got paneer butter masala and chicken tikka masala. Everything was delicious. Our meals came with naan, curry, soup and a dessert. I had no idea what it was but found a cardamom pod so I googled it. It was delicious!! You get plenty of food for your money, we even have leftovers. We live so close so I know this will become a regular spot for us. Try it!!
First time here, the food taste amazing ! Chicken vindaloo has the right amount of spice. Also mixed veggie pakora taste really good
I was ready to be disappointed, because we did wait about 35 minutes for our food to come out. But honestly, the food was delicious and well worth the wait. The Naan and rice is fluffy and warm, and the chicken was really tender and incredibly well seasoned.
It was awful. The food was cold and not properly cooked. As an Indian I know what Indian food taste like and how it is supposed to be. One guy kept coming and bothering us while were eating to force us into buying more. Dont eat over here trust me!
Poor servicesfood was not great - curries are flooded with creamOrdered garlic and bullet naan - but they gave us plain naan.My dad called to complain - they told him “better luck next time”Would never go back to this place
It was hot, the table was sticky, service was extremely slow though it didnt seem too busy, and they didnt have coffee or vada which is all I wanted. They managed to get me coffee halfway through my meal, but it tasted like Bru coffee which is an Indian instant coffee.
Fantastic food, try the butter chicken, tikka, and everything else on the menu. The sauces are so delicious. My favorite place to eat Indian food.
My wife and I always liked the lunch buffet at Swapna. However, they dont offer a buffet anymore. During buffet times the place was always packed during lunch time. When we went for lunch yesterday there were only four tables dining in including us. Food was good, not wow, naan tasted like regular bread. I ordered unsweet tea and I got water but the waiter argued that its unsweet tea and still charged me for it!! I am not sure for how long the place will survive but for what they charge now its probably not worth going there anymore.
This is one of my family’s favorite place to go to eat Indian food. We come here often and the food and service is usually great! But when we came in today, service was terrible, we received our drinks after our appetizers were finished. Food tasted bland. Not the same taste or service. Naan tasted bland and uncooked.
I just had food from here for my lunch today (carry out/delivery), and I am appalled. I took one bite of my butter chicken and all I taste is Campbells tomato soup. There is Campbells tomato soup or condensed soup in this butter chicken, I have zero doubt. The flavor is unmistakable. It almost tastes like one of those soup on the go cups, the creamy tomato, that was dumped into the sauce of this dish. I taste no spice. Nothing remotely related to the flavor of butter chicken. Nothing but Campbells creamy tomato soup with chunks of chicken. It even looks like Campbells creamy tomato soup (creamy Orange, not the normal red color), it definitely doesnt look like my normal butter chicken from MintLeaf. And the naan was weird too. Didnt taste like any naan Ive ever had, although it looked like normal naan. Atrocious. They should be absolutely ashamed. What kind of people do they have preparing food in that kitchen?! I paid $30 for this garbage. Never eating from this place ever again. MintLeaf is by far superior. I feel like Ive been punished for trying something new.
Ordered chicken Dum biryani, the worst taste, and the rice that what they used is not biryani rice, it tasted like white rice mixed with chicken curry.
Swapna Indian Cuisine.Indian restaurant beside Pep Boys on Cobb Parkway right off of I-285 exit 19. Close to Cumberland mall.Plenty of options of South Indian and North Indian dishes. Dine-in, take out and delivery options available. Flavor suites the American Palate and plenty of American guests most of the time.Plenty of dine-in tables and booths for comfortable dining experience. Attached bar for Indian beverages. Both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian dishes available. Ask for spicy food if you like higher spice levels.Helpful and courteous staff. Catering and delivery available on request
It’s been over month they have no hot water in restrooms. Saw one of the server in kitchen drinking lassi directly from container they keep it In to serve customers. Always overcharged for items if you don’t pay enough attention. Food is okay. If you order thali, expect some cold from refrigerator things that comes in as sides.
Great food at a reasonable price. Comes with rice and naan whereas most places it is separate. Location is also great....right next to the battery!
Good service, a little short staffed.Chicken Biryani was excellent, as well as flavorful salna. Will absolutely be back!
They say it is a thali, but you cannot get refills or choose which items you want. They also automatically added a gratuity to my party and didnt mention that to me. They were willing to remove it and the food was pretty good, but they need to make some changes to their business model
I love the food here and they had a lunch special that was excellent. On our last visit we didnt receive everything we ordered. This turned out to not be a problem because it wasnt on our bill and we had more than enough food. The service is never great here but its not terrible either. We will continue to go here.
A few years ago, this used to be my favorite Indian spot. Now, not so much. The food quality has changed along with the to go portion sizes. I ordered the lamb samosa which was dry and tough. I feel like it was old and they tried to re-fry or re-heat. The chicken tikka masala taste like butter chicken instead. I am highly disappointed.
I used to go a lot to this place pre-covid and really liked their food.So I decided to Uber eats some food from here.Ordered butter chicken, butter naan, chicken 65 and chili chicken.Everything was pretty bland and horrible.Butter chicken had no flavor, butter naan had no butter (I mean common), chili chicken had no chili….This is by far the most un-flavorful Indian food I have tried. If their chef has changed, they need to fix this ASAP.
In this last time we come to this restaurant one cez a week, the service is good and the food is delicious. I enjoy this place. it is clean and quiet
Really great food. Will definitely be back! For was hot and didnt take long to bring out. I suggest checking out the appetizers.
I had the non veg thali, the taste was fine, nothing too great, nothing too bad. I wish they have me something other than all chicken dishes, like Lamb
We loved our food!! The chicken tikka masala was 💯I hope they bring the buffet back, but we’ll keep visiting!
Used to frequent this place for the buffet. Thank to COVID, they are not offering it now. Hope they bring it back soon. The food is as good as it was before the pandemic. We ordered lamb chops and two goat biriyani. The chops are delicious. Biriyani is good, could be better.Had to wait longer than usual for service. They seem to be functioning with minimal staff. Understandable.A decent experience over all.
I love this place! I used to go to the buffet before the pandemic but unfortunately its no longer available. But I ordered my favorite dish, the butter chicken and it still tasted good. The wait was a bit longer than expected but they were trying to get out to go orders. Im a supporter of this restaurant so I didnt mind. But the staff is always friendly. They even recognized me with a mask on. I hadnt been there since before the pandemic. But Im going to continue to go back because its great tasting food.
Ordered the “full”tandoori chicken that runs about $16.99 - portion size is a bit smaller than I would expect for that amount - taste was okay but not enough to justify what is charged. Service is good.
This will be my new go-to for Indian food. Love how extensive the menu is. So many options to choose from. My husband and I dined in. We were the only people who dined in the entire 2 hours we were there which was great for us because it felt like having the entire place to ourselves. To-go seems to get a ton of business and stayed busy but seemed very efficient. Our food took a while but we didnt mind because we were having a very leisurely dinner and were in no rush at all. I know the kitchen was very busy with to-go orders. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and Vegetable Biryani. I will admit that the Tikka Masala was much "creamier" than any Ive ever had before, but that is EXACTLY what we loved about it. It was so good and the chicken was very tender. Easily in the top 3 best Tikka Masalas weve ever eaten from a restaurant. The restaurant appeared to be very clean/ well kept and food was good quality and value. I will definitely return.
Location and ambience and all is fine but food taste is not good as per the price of the buffet. Food was cold and few dishes were tasting similar to other dishes. Would like them to improve in taste and service.
Cant go wrong with the buffet. Food is good and so is the customer service. Never had a bad experience at Swapna.
Food quality is fine. Nothing spectacular. Customer service is good. Great ambience. Had Ginger Chicken thali. Taste is fine. Nan was the best.
The Lamb Samosas & Lamb & Spinach were delicious but the service was subpar... I sat with an empty glass after the first drink. It really ruined our entire experience to have been waiting to submit another order, be acknowledged... We would have spent more money with another entree & dessert - This was our date night. Sadly, my husband doesn’t ever want to return, and I am hesitant to come back myself..
Nice place for Indian munch in Cobb area. I like how they serve thali with the entres. I really like their gobhi manchurian dish as it is crispy and well done. They have a decent selection of wine and beers to compliment your food. I almost every time end up carrying a doggy bag back. Definitely recommend.
Nice place to have Indian, South Indian food. Nice environment. Price is also reasonable. Food quality is also good.
So delicious!!!! Came here for lunch on a Sunday, and it was buffet style. Super yummy, tons of vegan and vegetarian options, as well as meat for omnivores. There was a delicious mushroom with a sweet fried crunch to it (and also other yummy foods but that was my fave). Definitely going to be coming back!!
They have several dishes on their vegetarian menu that are vegan. We had Aloo Gobi and also Bhindi (an Okra dish). This was my first time having Bhindi--it was delicious.
Very tasty Indian food place right next to Doubletree Hilton on Cobb Parkway. They serve large portions of good quality food. Buffet is a very good option. But the alacarte menu too has many great options of tasty spicy food. You will love this place if you have a test for spicy food or you like Indian food. You may also enjoy desserts here. This place is easy to locate and has open parking lot. Service here though, needs a huge improvement.
Tried the lunch buffet this week. The place is clean but the buffet line is cramped. The choices were sparse. Four entrees: goat, chicken, one daal dish, and a creamed spinach. Only plain naan as well. Cauliflower rice was decent but bland. Service and price were acceptable.
Customer service sucks. The person treats if as i am begging him for food. I asked for water with ice and he comes with plain water. I asked for chicken curry with less chicken pieces and he doesnt listen to it. After all these he adds gratuity to the bill (we were only 2 persons.very poor customer service and expesive food. The only reason still they are in businesses is because of no other indian restaurant around this place. Dont waste money and time.
