Best sushi in my lifetime....

Such a great Vietnamese restaurant. The service was really good as well as the vegan options, we had vegan red curry soup, red curry and dim sum and they were all super delicious and great portions in my opinion. Would 100% recommend if you are in the area and looking for yummy vegan Vietnamese options.

Service here is fine. The Dim Sum was fine. The Thai main course needs more meat for it to be a good value. Overall the two dishes tasted all right. Tried the food during the afternoon, so wait time was good. If you wish a bit more value of Asian food, there is also another good option in Tromsø.

Very good food and professional service

Tiniest servings ever. $21.8 USD (218 NOKfor red curry tofu and they don’t even give you a full serving. I know it’s tromsø, but come on. Didn’t even give us silverware.

Meal with friends on the last day before Suvi went on vacation. Thoroughly impressed. The chicken katsu was very good. Vegan thai red curry and duck also were great. Interesting take on desserts with the fried cheesecake. Look forward to coming back to this restaurant again when it reopens!

Ate here twice in four days! Was amazing! Best service in tromsø and food was delicious. Had a quick dinner the first time with salmon teriyaki and vegetarian red curry. Big portions and tasty for sure but had to come back for the sushi! So we went to have dinner again and had a summer roll and the dim sum as a starter, the chefs mix and finished with the banana pancake! Chefs mix was more and better than we’d wished for. Super tasty and they made a wasabi worm! Big portion again and definitely worth it. Prices compared to other places we went to are comparable. Not cheap but then again it’s Norway I don’t think anything is cheap here :)

Fish is unfortunately NOT fresh here, never seen a sushi restaurant literally burn their sashimi pieces fully black. They do this because they know people would get sick from it otherwise. Finally got the whale sashimi and it was 100% gone bad. Any time you see a Vietnamese, Thai restuarnt serving sushi its usually rough, but in northern Norway there is no excuse whatsoever for serving old fish. Be careful eating here, the quality of the fish theyre serving could make you sick, to the point they literally will burn their sashimi BLACK. Try harder!

Omg the food was lovely, really helpful and friendly staff. So happy we visited it, we only noticed it due to the queue of people waiting outside the previous evening. Easy booking process online.

Really good food! Has a vegan menu too and the staff was super friendly, the food really really good. Its a bit pricey, but since everything in Norway is a bit more expensive you better spend it on great food - thats absolutely the case here.Very nice sushi, good drinks and the Red Curry and Noodle soup was enough and very tasty!

Really good food, the best is to order table before here, but you can walk in also. Very good staff service. Its not everyday I come across a good place as this.

Sushi is Ok. Problem is that on a busy night they prioritise takeaway orders and you end up waiting 45-60 minutes for your food. Not cool with young kids that are hungry. Staff gets overwhelmed and throws chopsticks across the table as if it were some cheap cantine.

Excellent sushi and sashimi - really good high quality fish. Went here on first night in Tromsø and will definitely be back during our stay. Cosy atmosphere and excellent service. Our waitress was very lovely and even though the restaurant was busy, we were very well looked after.

I faced a warm welcome and even though they were busy they accepted us and gave a great servise. The quality of food and wine was great.If you are in Tromsø, you definitely should try this place.

The food was delicious and they even have a vegan menu and vegetarian menu for those traveling looking for a vegan meal. I believe they had 2 appetizers and 3 meal options for vegans. Very good service and food, however it was a little pricey.

Excellent food, friendly and very friendly staff. It offers a good variety of food, two main menus, a children and veg section. Prices are very low compared to the standards and quality makes this restaurant a must try.

Super nice place!! Food was great, good quality products, and i loved the beer from Tromsø. On top, the service was perfect. The waiter, young blonde hair, guided us on the choices for sushi and made our dinner very comfortable. Thank you! 😊

Asian guest not welcomed without reservation though it’s only 50% full. Need to takeaway while spending 270Nok for takeaway and with a Foodora bag. Tom yum soup is good ,scallop is not so fresh while fish is generous and good. Pity that the service needs to be improved.

We asked paper food list ,but they couldnt give it because is was old version,everything was in internet,in that moment my internet didint work it ,so i couldnt look it and i ask old version paper menu that i can just see what food they have. Then i say we leave then and i havent seen never place where is not menu in paper. Girl answer that maybe you havent been many places ,well 11 countries ,9th time in Norway and girl said other things also..NEWER SEEN SO ROOD SERVICE THAN THIS PLACE TODAY!

Food was very good, but there was koriander in it even when we said without and we waited one hour for the main course. Appart from that it would be 4-5, closer to 5 stars

Suvi is a restaurant which will give you good food that will pique your interest even if it doesnt end up suiting your taste.Providing a good range of main dishes and a fair amount of appetisers the menu of Suvi is sure to hold something that will interest you. The locale is fairly medium sized but can feel small given the corona restrictions put in place. Keeping that in mind the plating of the dishes and the atmosphere of the restaurant itself can only be described as comforting and appeasing to the eyes.My group of friends regularly order food from this place and it is up there among my favourite places to get food from.

Nice, cozy, not too crowded place. I ordered the Suvi lemonade, which was similar to taste as an alcohol free mojito and the chicken katsu.The portions were big, the serving was fast. Everything tasted very good, but it wasnt anything special, or different than what I can cook for myself (this is a good thing and a bad thing at the same time).The place is overstuffed, there were 4 waiters in the small restaurant, but this should ensure that you are being served quite fast.

Delicious food good service but the place was rather small so many people were turned away. Good idea to make a reservation before you go. A cozy little place to eat I would definitely go there again if Im in Tromsø.☺️

Ordered roast duck for 335 kr and the duck looked super pale and was tasteless it was almost like boiled duck with no seasoning! Worst of all they said nothing is wrong with the food and many people ordered it without complain. Well maybe bc these poor people might have never tasted real chinese rosted ducks in their life. Ive tasted many roasted ducks from Oslo at Dinner, Nodee and from Chinatown in London and Ive never tasted a roast duck this terrible before! Its a shame that Suvi sell this bland duck with no color and no taste and call it roasted duck, it brings shame to real chinese roasted duck!

B- • Overall this place has solid seafood, I loved their fresh fish like salmon. The chicken katsu and tom yum seafood were also very tasty, ironically the seafood flavours were very bland, like one of the rolls was literally rice wrapped around seaweed, and another was avocado and rice... Maybe there was a more traditional mix that includes like california roll and dragon roll, yet I didnt see it. The desert was the ender and highlight of the meal, fried Ice cream with roasted nuts and sauce. It was so simple yet so tasty! Lastly in terms of price we spent €100 so compared to say Rå, this is more expensive and less tasty in terms of sushi 🍣. Overall I would advise coming here for a few pieces of sushi and fried ice creme combo, save yourself money.

Recently ate the restaurant with my husband for a late Sunday lunch. Booked a table via their website for kl 15. Come to the restaurant to find out that they opened at 16, but because we had reserved they let us in the restaurant anyways.Ordered three starts of a Spring Roll, Summer Roll and some Dim Sum to share- chefs were nice enough to slice them in half for each of us to make sharing easier.Ordered the Maki Mix Kombi, and changed out the 4 pieces of red almonds for King Crab - worth it! The entire plate was delicious to say the least. I must also say that our waitress who brought the food was an ‘opplæring’ and was very informed as to what was on our huge slate- so kudos to her. :)Ended the meal with some fried bananas and the hot & cold sorbet which were delicious and a nice way to end the meal.We had heard about the restaurant from some friends who had also traveled from Oslo, and I’d definitely recommend the same to those who want some fresh sushi and great atmosphere!That being said, the only negative thing I have to say is that the Menu is HUGE and gets overwhelming at times- but the food is worth it!

Springroll and sashimi were good.Soup was too salty. Seafood had sand or shell pieces. Dim sum did not taste great, maybe because of salty soup before. Water was not refilled.The place was full, crowded, noisy, busy, not cozy at all.People around ate sushi. All customers. Maybe sushi is the reason people go there.

Average Vietnamese vegetarian food! Not too expensive considering its in Norway, lovely staff, and a pretty setting.

Book before youre there. Its popular because its good. I had a Vietnamese/Thai meal with cashew nuts and it was pretty good. I ordered Mojitto and it wasnt that good. I also tasted their suchi combo plates. That was super!

Very, very nice sushi. The rice tastes a little bland compared to other sushi joints, but the fish and garnishes taste top-notch!

Amazing food, specially for vegetarians! Many pages dedicated to vegan/vegetarian dishes; the hot avocado mix is definitely my favorite! The personnel are friendly, and service is also fast! The vegan summer roll is great too, but a little too large for a starter for one.

Im living in Tromsø and I come to Suvi frequently. Suvi has very nice staff and very delicious and fresh sushi. Strongly recommend for Asian cousine! 🍙🍤

Excellent South East Asian food in the middle of Tromso, busy restaurant so book if you can. The 3 ladies in front of us were turned away - but there was a table for 2. Menu was varied and different.

Highly recommended. Super staff and amazing food.

Ordered 2 bun (rice noodle salads with pork and spring roll), tom yum soup and sushi platter. The bun was really yummy with fish sauce dressing and great serving size, tom yum was okay, and sushi platter wasnt the best (had this very dark meat that I thought was beef, but definitely wasnt beef...). Be warned, VERY expensive prices but typical for Tromso I think. Paid total about 82 GBP and we didnt even order drinks. Service was good and friendly waitresses.

Very good place to have dinner and try something different. Loved the sushi with strawberries. The waiters and staff preparing the dishes are amazing! Prices are according to Tromsø, but relatively in the normal range. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious! Really loved the phở! The Bún thịt nướng was also very lovely but was unfortunately missing the spring rolls! Otherwise a very lovely dinner with nice ambience and good service.

Kinda an Asian fusion. The sushi is pretty tasty. If you come as a group, definitely order the platter!

We were a party of four. Place had some larger groups already there but service was rather quick. Staff was a bit hit and miss I felt, some seemed more engaged than others. Modern Scandinavian style in the restaurant, yet cozy enough.We ordered 4 different dishes, unfortunately none of us were really satisfied. The food didnt at all live up to the hype this place has had going for it. Crispy duck with pancakes was okay, the meat had a nice flavour but was a bit dry (considering it was well done, which is perfectly fine). Im 99% sure the pancakes were just store-bought dumpling dough, so they just werent very impressive. The vegetables seemed a bit stale, if they work like any other kitchen some ingredients will be cut/prepared in the morning for the entire day, also perfectly acceptable, but they could have been kept fresh better. All in all taste was good, but the price was quite steep for around 1/4 duck breast per person. We also got just one steamer with pancakes for 2 people who ordered and assumed that was to keep the pancakes warm and staff would make sure to bring out the second steamer with fresh pancakes. When we asked for the second steamer the waiter had no clue what we asked about ("pancakes? You mean the rice chips?"). We got them no further questions asked, but it seemed a bit unprofessional there and then.Chicken katsu: this was a letdown. The chicken was battered in what Im sure was Panko, but that was it. The taste was just deep-fried chicken with bread crumbs. I cant really describe it any other way. Certainly nothing specifically Japanese or even Asian about it. The curry sauce tasted primarily five spice. As the menu pointed out the "Japanese style", I expected some twist of a Japanese curry, but it was just completely forgettable. Plating wasnt too attractive on this one, too much sauce with the chicken on top and the rest on the side. Accompanied by an out of place (albeit fresh and with nice dressingspeck of green salad and rice that had been plated too soon (dry ok top and luke warm), I was really disappointed by this one.The rest of the food was alright (soup, stir fry meat), just absolutely nothing out of the ordinary (meh rice here too). Nothing that would set it apart from any other westernized Asian restaurant in town.We were really excited to finally check out the place, but it just didnt leave any of us impressed. Were considering to give the sushi a try somewhen, but apart from that there wasnt anything that made us want to return.

The best sushi on this planet! I really enjoyed them that I didnt want to leave Tromsø without having a last taste of this place.You can order everything! Dont worry about the menu, everything is made with a lot of love and it really has an amazing taste!Hope you enjoy your visit here as well!Just go and trust!
