Huge value for money portions that were absolutely delicious, with friendly service and an authentic atmosphere. Would definitely go back for the fish and chips.

Great place for fresh fish & Chips, this is place is my local and one of my favourite places.The staff are pleasant.#fish&chipswithsatisfactionand a smile!Love my grilled skate wing from these guys, they always grill it perfectly.They now have a bench outside, so you can take a seat while waiting for your order.

I liked this place, everything was delicious, fast and not expensive.

It was my mothers first time in London and the UK and I knew I had to take her to Sutton & Sons for some vegan fish and chips. Shes not vegan, but I am and she was keen to try for herself the fish and chips I had spoken so highly of.The battered banana blossom blew her away, and the battered OMNI was an enjoyable alternative. Both of us dont really care for processed meat alternatives, so the concept of using a natural flower as a fish substitute is genius. Definitely give them a try, and say hi to Angie for me!

Terrible inedible food , savaloy days old chips old batter dark & drenched in oil , when we called them they just said contact deliveroo theyll probably give you a refund !!!!!! They only refunded the savaloy ....

We visited here after reading about the awards they got for their vegan fish and chips not so long ago and since we were in London on holiday we had to make the trip.We were delighted to see so many options and were absolutely delighted with the vegan banana blossom option which was full of flavour and had a really great texture.Well worth the visit and we are just sorry we cant go every week 😅

Had this for the fist time today and WOW. Ive heard it was good, and it definitely lived up to expectations. I didnt really know fish and chips could taste this good. I think I got some kind of offer, it was like 8.50 for fish and chips, so the fish was smaller than I expected, but it was a 10/10 fish, and the chips was 10/10 too. I still cant believe how good the food was, thank you so much for outstanding quality. Cant wait to eat it again.

Ive read good things about this place.Paid about £11 for this cod with chips, which at first seemed a lot (Im from poor country 😄for a lunch, but the portion is so BIG, that I wasnt able to finish it even as a dinner 😭😭 (probably because of how hot these days are).100% recommended

Found this place by chance. Had a fantastic freshly cooked fish and chips to take out. . Good portion size with lovely chunky chips. I would definitely recommend it.

We always went there when they were at Box Park in Shoreditch. Now theyve got bigger and branched out to a few locations. My all time favourite is calamari and chips. Love, love, love it. Chips are good too, (though you cant beat chips from up North)....Sutton & Sons, this one anyway, comes close.

Stumbled upon this place by accident and decided to drop in for a quick lunch. They apparently have many vegan options, I did not try those and went for the classic, plus the curry sauce and a beer. I am not an expert when it comes to fish and chips, but what I had was decent, the sauce was a nice addition to the fish. The chips are big and chunky, some people dont like them that way, but they were good. They do not have a toilet, if they did, I would have given 5 stars. I mean, after the beer, you need a toilet, right? :-)

A fish store is out this shop.The fish cooked after receiving an order is fresh and tasty!I think this restaurant is the only restaurant in London where you can eat fish and chips of this high level.

I visited the place after 4 years since my last visits .fish still the best in london chips was good tarta sauce homemade very tasty customer service was perfect .No toilet otherwise Everything was perfect keep up the good work

They do good chips but they do taste better when they are put in the boxes. If they put them in the boxes all the time would be 5 stars. Putting them in the bags just make them soft and slushy.

The food is just mediocre. You don’t get a lemon slice for free. The fish tastes very fishy and not fresh. Never had such dry fish.

Great vegan options, good customer service.However, was previously told that the vegan food was prepared and fried separately to the meat, but I witnessed it all being made together and shoved in the same section which was a little upsetting. You do end up paying more for eating in which isnt entirely worth it given the damp toilet smell that rises and the fact the food doesnt always get served on a plate. However, food is delicious and team are very kind.

Picked up two haddock and chips last night. Both me and my girlfriend now have food poisoning - stomach cramps and vomiting. We were regulars before the first lockdown, and after trying it again last night it’s clear that the quality has seriously declined - the fish was tasteless (like other people have mentionedand clearly not stored / cooked properly. A real shame as this used to be our go to takeaway

We order from here regularly on Deliveroo. And it’s been great until today. Today the fish did not have the fresh flavours we always liked. And the chips had a very foul old oil flavour. Plus they forgot the mushy peas.

Both fish & chips were very oily. The cod was cooked crispy as requested but unfortunately the fish was not cooked within fully. Scampi was warm, had to microwave it.Shame as it was my first visit here

Had the cod and chips for takeaway and was a bit perplexed by the lack of seasoning. We ordered the salt and vinegar chips but didn’t taste either of those ingredients. The fish tasted fresh however and was fried quite nicely. Overall we had a very bland meal.

I had their vegan menu for my friends birthday. Their fries and mushy peas are great and so is the vegan fried fish. I was not a fan of their vegan calamari, but over all, their vegan menu is a great option for vegans/vegetarians craving fish and chips <3

Was late in the day fancied some fish and chips, asked if I could have my fish skinned, was told no they only do this in the evening 🤔😒! Mmmmmm.......now shops are closing, business are going bust....I would if a customer ask for just that...guy looked like he couldnt be bothered, maybe had a bad day...but a hello or a smile would have been nice.Apart from that chips were nice & cod was a little over cooked, but was still nice saved by the lovely batter.Will continue to go to Kennedys in Central Street, were they do fillet your fish.

Amazing place to eat. Everything fresh and homemade even down to the tartare sauce. Beautiful fish and chips and service was brilliant. So lovely and cheerful. One of the best meals I have ever had. Definitely recommend eating here and I will certainly be returning

Chips were refried and stale and as hard as a bullet. Had to throw them away. Member of the family was ill for 2 days, the arrogance of the man serving behind the counter was sickening, like their food. The box tasted better than the chips. Don’t mind paying £10 for COD and chips the box that these chips came in tasted better than the actual food inside. Absolute disgrace. Worst chips I’ve ever had. Don’t go.

Fair price for fine fare. They also serve a wonderful sticky toffee pudding. Heaven 🍴🍽️🍟

Ordered their vegan banana blossom fish and their vegan fish cakes. Both super yummy.

We order this every couple of weeks on deliveroo and it is fantastic every time. We usually go with cod or haddock. Both equally good. This was the first time we ordered fries instead of chips and they did not disappoint. The mushy peas are always good as well. My only complaint is that there have been a few times they have forgotten the lemon. There’s a button you can tick for lemon included that’s free. Not the end of the world! Definitely recommend this place! Always arrives hot!

A great place but it is definitely going out of your way in London to get. I recommend! I got sweet potatoes fries instead of regular. So delicious

Truly amazing, authentic fish and chips. Their vegan fish and chips is also incredible. Location is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the time. Staff was incredible. My daughter left her cell phone behind and we did not notice for hours. A staff member had it for us when we got back there.

One of the few places open on a Sunday evening which is especially rare for a proper chip shop which makes for a busy business. More so as they now deliver via Ubereats. Very tasty fresh food much of which is made/prepared on the premises.Definitely recommend. Just beware its cash only and there is often a wait.

Came here after seeing it on the insider because they offer vegan fish and chips which sounded interesting so I thought Id try. The fish was delicious and really tasty I couldnt fault it, the chips tasted really good and the helping was generous but I appreciated that. The service was excellent there were no problems at all, the cook at the front and the 2 servers did a great job. Highly recommend Sutton and Sons Fish and Chips

We ordered the vegan fish and chips, vegan scampi with chips and vegan seitan pie with chips and they were truly outstanding!!!!! We received fantastic service from a waitress named Patricia! Thanks for the lovely meal and dining experience.

Best fish and chips in London hands down. Customer service is impeccable.Prices are incredibly reasonable.Menu is surprisingly varied, includes everything from the classics to the delightful.But most impressive of all is the delicious freshness and unique batter recipe. Its just so bloody delicious.Cant recommend enough.

Really good food but the portions are huge!!! Was upsold a large chips and it was enough for 4 people at least, ended up having to throw most of them away...

Atmosphere is really well done, service is welcoming. I had the bog standard fish and chips which was really good. The chips were the same as youd get in any old chippy (not a complaint), and the fish is delicious. They are considerate of people with allergies or eating preferences, and have vinegar for those who cant have gluten and vegan options.Id go again!

Ive had a few meals from here and they are always great. My friend had the vegan fish and chips and enjoyed it (I tried some it was good!). The portions are massive, you can easily split one chips between two!

I had the vegan fish and chips and a deep fried Mars bar. The chips and the Mars bar were great, but the vegan fish (made of banana blossomcould use a bit more flavor. The place was also very cold inside even in a sweater. A nice place overall for a good lunch.

I had the vegan fish & chips, and while they had a meaty texture, it reminded me more of ... turkey, perhaps? It wasnt as flakey as I had hoped. The chips were pretty good, so I expect non-vegans to have a better experience.

I got delicious vegan fish and chips , and I really really loved it! They even gave me vegan tartar sauce! My friends who came with me are not vegan and so they got regular fish and chips and loved their meals too. Definitely would recommend this place for fresh, delicious, perfectly fried and authentic fish and chips

Amazing fish and chips. Sutton and Sons is definitely one of the best fish and chip shops I’ve eaten at in London. The cod was of high quality and the chips were cooked to perfection. They also offer very reasonable lunch time deals! Would definitely recommend.Would be 5 stars if they took card.

We came here for our Valentines meal and the food is always amazing. The Oysters were delicious, Id highly recommend trying them. The fish selection is fantastic and the staff including waitresses are knowledgeable and very helpful. Id highly recommend eating here its a lovely experience.

Eaten here twice now. The fish is amazing, so meaty and fresh. Enough for 2 portions! Curry sauce is on point. I will be back.

Very average food with a steep price tag that matches the asthetics... Was difficult to pay and leave there was much confusion over which table bill we were paying... Even though there was only about 8 seats in the whole place. Toilet facilities not up to par.
